Nightmare Of The Beautiful

It was late at night in the town known as Ponyville. Luna's gorgeous moon shone brightly in the starry night sky. A warm breeze drifted through the air like seaweed drifts in the ocean. Everypony slept peacefully in their warm beds. Well . . . almost Everypony.

Rarity tossed and turned in her bed, she grunted and groaned in her sleep. She was having that nightmare again, it had been happening for two months now. Rarity had been to Psychiatrists, Doctors, and so forth. But alas, they had done her no good. She'd even gone to her good friend Twilight's for assistance.

The nightmare started with Rarity walking in the Ever free. She was alone, and it was really dark. Their was a light fog in the air. Rarity looked to her left, spying a face in the bush's. When she looked again the face had vanished. She stood nervously but then looked to see a creature standing before her. It looked like a pony, but had no mane or tail. It was a bit black in color. But it's eyes were blacker than Luna's night itself. The creature lifted it's hoof slightly up. It came back down with a "Thump." It did this three times, while Rarity watched in fear. The creature stopped, and opened it's mouth. It revealed tons of razor sharp teeth while it growled. Rarity stood completely frozen, then the creature charged at her.

"GASP!" Rarity shot up in bed. Sweat poured down her face as her mane stuck to it. She attempted to calm down a little.

"Thump!" Went her bedroom window in the night breeze.

She sighed as she climbed out of bed. She walked over and shut the window. Holding a hoof to her chest, her heart wouldn't stop pounding. Rarity looked at the clock seeing it was 3:00 at night.

"Well, it looks like I'll be rising really early tonight" Rarity said with disappointment.

She quietly walked to her sewing room, making sure not to wake Sweetie Belle. A blue aura came from her horn as she switched on the light. She walked up to the dress on one of her ponykins. On it was a deep red dress with a touch of purple. It had gold on the edges of it. And in the center was a golden necklace with a ruby. On the front their were red and purple flowers she had sowed together. It also had some on the bottom edges. She intended on wearing red and purple flowers in her mane and tail. She would be going to a fashion show at 6:00 in the evening.

"Time to do the finishing touch's" Rarity said tiredly.

She used her magic to pick up a a needle with red thread. Rarity began sowing the flowers in a cluster on the front. Then she would move to the bottom to finish there. Soon Luna's moon set and Celestia's sun rose into the sky. Rarity had completed the dress after lots of effort. Little did she know she'd dozed off from her lack of sleep.

"Hey Sis!" Sweetie belle shouted.

Rarity snapped awake at the sound of her voice. Sweetie came bounding into the room to greet her big sister.

"Morning, Sweetie" Rarity said yawning.

"Same to you Rarity. You done with your dress?" she asked.

Rarity nodded. "What do you think?"

Sweetie Belle walked towards it eyeing it closely. "Beautiful as always sis" She stated.

"Thank you Sweetie, you had me worried for a sec."

"Well, I gotta head to the club house to meet Apple Bloom and Scootalo" Sweetie Belle said, hugging her big sis.

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow after your sleepover" Rarity said.

Sweetie Belle said goodbye, grabbed her saddlebag, and left.

Rarity looked up at the clock and gasped. She remembered she had to search for gems.

"I didn't realize it was 9:00 already!" She panicked.

Rarity rushed to grab her saddlebag, feed Opal, and leave.

"Farewell Opal" She said to her cat.

Opal rolled her eyes and went back to bed.

"Spoiled cat" Rarity muttered.

She headed outside and shut the door. Right when she was about to start walking, she got a sudden flashback from her nightmare. It scared her for a moment, but she calmed down and told herself not to imagine things.

"Relax Rarity, relax" She calmed herself.

Rarity trotted to the hill she always went to find great gems. One time she'd been captured by Diamond dogs. But her attitude had gotten her out of it. She got to the area and started searching. Once again a flashback returned to Rarity.

"Ah!" Rarity screamed in fear. She gasped for air, her heart racing so fast it could explode.

"Are you alright?" Came a voice from behind her.

She spun around to see a stallion standing before her. She thought he was just a normal stallion taking a walk. But she would later learn, that he was going to save her life, and sanity.
