Chapters Chapter 1: Cleaning
Near Sweet Apple Acres, there’s a build-up and sturdy clubhouse. And currently, there’s four little fillies in the clubhouse now, planning on which cutie mark to earn. Although, they aren't really doing so well.
“Come on, Scootaloo, ya have already picked yesterday’s activity, now is mah turn,” Apple Bloom complained. She pointed her yellow right-hoof to herself.
“I don’t care what you say!” yelled Scootaloo. “I am picking today.”
Their bickering went on, and it’s all because Apple Bloom wanted to do something that didn’t require going back to the hospital. (That's because last week they went bungee jumping and it end so well.)
“SHUT UP!” Sweetie Belle and Dinky yelled together. This caught both Scootaloo’s and Apple Bloom’s attention; usually Sweetie Belle and Dinky would be quiet and didn’t bother saying anything.
“Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, stop fighting!” Sweetie Belle shouted. Her voice has shook the clubhouse as she continued. “We aren’t going to get anywhere. Do you remember I have to clean Rarity’s attic, while she goes and finishes her dress for a special client… Sapphire Shores? I think that’s her client’s name. Yeah, that is it, back to what I was saying… um, what was I saying again?”—Dinky whispered in her ear what she was going say—”oh right, we don’t have all day, so let’s hurry and choose what we are going to—”
“Oh, Ah know what cutie mark we should get,” Apple Bloom interrupted.
Sweetie Belle sighed as Dinky smiled to her, giving a look of ‘at least you got their attention now.'
“Okay, what’s your idea?” Scootaloo asked. She bored out of her mind and wanted some action.
“Why don’t we help Sweetie Belle with her cleaning. That way, when we’re done, we can continue crusading with her along?”
Dinky seemed to like the idea since she didn’t want one of her friends to be stuck inside all day cleaning and doing what Rarity wants. “Why don’t we? It’s not a bad idea. It’s great opportunity for a cleaning cutie mark and we can help Sweetie Belle.”
Sweetie Belle smiled, as she stood up on her four hooves. “Really? Thanks for the help, I need it. I am only cleaning Rarity’s attic since I ruined her priceless vase last weekend.”
“Welcome, Sweetie Belle.” Apple Bloom smiled towards her friend. “Applejack taught me that Ah should always help a friend in need.”
“Can we stop with this lovey-dovey stuff and hurry clean the attic?” Scootaloo suggested annoyed. The remaining Crusaders nodded as they got into a certain position.
“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS CLEANERS!” They shouted as they put their hooves up in the air.
Sweetie Belle knocked on her big sister’s back-door of Carousel Boutique and waited for her to open it. A moment later and the door did open, revealing a stressed-out Rarity. Rarity took a glance around and spotted Sweetie Belle.
“Oh, Sweetie Belle, darling, are ready to clean my dirty attic?” Rarity asked, then immediately noticed Apple Bloom, Dinky, and Scootaloo, also standing close to Sweetie Belle. She realized that they are helping Sweetie Belle with her ‘chore’ and are probably are going this to earn their cutie marks, even though it’s obvious what their cutie mark is. “Oh, hi, darlings”—Rarity waved at them—”come inside, darlings. You too, Sweetie Belle.”
Coming in, one by one, Rarity clopped away to get the cleaning supplies the CMC will need. Whereas the four little crusaders walked around, also taking some glances at the beautiful dresses and unique fabrics around the ‘inspiration’ room as Rarity calls it. Soon enough, the Fashion Designer came back with mops, brooms, scrubs, soap, brushes, and different colored paints.
“Here’s the stuff you’ll need for cleaning the attic,” Rarity explained, pointing her hooves to each of the supplies. “While I finish making my dresses, why don’t you, darlings, get started? But—”
The CMC rushed off with all the supplies to the attic before Rarity can give her warning. She sighed and hopes that they don’t break anything valuable in there.
“YAY! CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS CLEANERS!”
The CMC have just began their cleaning and each of them were assigned to a different jobs, which was Apple Bloom’s idea. Dinky and Sweetie Belle got the really high areas because they can use their unicorn magic to pick up the dusters and clean for them, Apple Bloom would paint and fix anything broken, and Scootaloo would mop and dust the floor (since that’s the only thing she can do.)
Oh, we’re cleaning~, we’re cleaning~,” Sweetie Belle sang as she used her magic to clean some dusty boxes. She kept cleaning, but tripped when stepping on a piece of cloth. She also knocking the boxes down as she slipped. Both the boxes and Sweetie Belle fell to the ground with a soft crash—not really loud for anyone to hear.
However, the other crusaders heard the crash and galloped their hooves to where Sweetie Belle was. Dinky checked if Sweetie Belle was fine and Apple Bloom helped her up.
“Sweetie Belle, are ya alright?” the young farmer asked, concerned for her pony friend.
“Yes, I’m fine,” the white unicorn replied. “But not the boxes. I better fix this before Rarity finds out.”
Sweetie Belle used her magic to levitate the boxes and put them in a straight line. Dinky was curious about them and so she turned towards Sweetie Belle to ask her:
“What’s inside them, Sweetie Belle?”
Sweetie Belle put a hoof on her chin and racked her little mind for an answer. She did a little shrug when she couldn't come up with an answer. “Actually, I don’t really know! This is Rarity’s stuff and she does have a lot of it. So it would an hour to find out what it could be.”
Scootaloo hoof-faced. “Why don’t we just take a look inside?”
Sweetie Belle, Dinky, and Apple Bloom gasped. They knew the consequences of what Rarity could. Scold them or tell their sisters, or even both.
“Oh, no, you can’t. Do you know what Rarity would do if she saw us peeping on her stuff?” Sweetie Belle said dramatically.
Scootaloo shook her head.
“She’ll make us her servants and our sis can’t save us!” Apple Bloom exclaimed.
Dinky nodded along at what she said. “She’s right, we even shouldn’t touch anything that not ours!”
“Oh, stop being babies and just do this. Rarity won’t even know it,” Scootaloo said.
Apple Bloom rolled her eyes. “Fine, but if we get in trouble, yer ta blame.”
“I agree with that!” Sweetie yelled.
“Me too!” Dinky agreed.
The little CMC clopped their way to the dusty boxes and Sweetie used her levitation spell to place the boxes in front of them. Dinky also used her magic, but to open the boxes because they were taped. After opening the boxes, some silence came in.
“So, who’s gonna open the boxes?” Apple Bloom asked to lighten up the mood.
“Not me! ” the other three CMCs shouted.
Apple Bloom sighed, “Fine, Ah’ll open ‘em.”
The farmer with the bow slowly walked over to the boxes and peeked her little eye inside. She looked what was inside and blinked.
“Girls, come look inside.”
The CMCs all looked inside the box and looked at the items in shock. They all had the same questioning and shocking look on their face.
“A-A-Apple B-Bloom, w-w-what was that j-j-just now?” asked the one with the mop.
Apple Bloom shivered, but answered, “I-I dunno, but I feel this is important.”
The CMC looked inside and saw papers and pictures all wrapped up inside. But what surprises them is the adoption letters and birthday certificates.
Chapter 2: Chest
The CMC all gasped. What the heck is this? They all thought.
Scootaloo widened her little eyes and her small wings stopped fluttering. “W-Why is there birthday certificates a-and”—she gulped, trying to re-catch her words—”a-adoption letters?”
Dinky sniffled. “Sweetie Belle, can you explain what this is?” Poor little Dinky was close to tears, but she blinked them away, however, they were close to being seen. Inside, her courage was dying and she knew she couldn't hold it any longer.
“I-I-I have no idea. L-Let’s check what’s actually inside though,” Sweetie Belle stuttered. Her face scrunched filled with fear and she tried her best to stop shivering.
The CMCs looked at each before taking another small peek into the box. Their faces showed regret and they immediately stopped looking. They faced their biggest fear; the feeling of having no family—no brother, no mother, no father, and even no sister.
“Is this a sign I'm adopted?” Sweetie Belle croaked, lifeless and weak as if she was about to die. She wanted the answer to be no, but if it was a yes, her world would be going down into smithereens.
Her courage, like Dinky, was dying and inside herself, she knew that life isn’t all about being happy. In some other places in Equestria, there’s nothing but dirt and gray lands and sadness. No happiness and no fun at all. (Yes, I’m am also referring to the Pie’s Rock Farm.)
Dinky was about to answer, but was stopped by Apple Bloom. The farmer had different idea in mind. She didn't want her singing friend sad and never to sing ever again.
“Um, Sweetie Belle, why don’t we look inside th’ boxes?” she asked nervously. Really nervous, more nervous than that time she tried lying to Applejack.
The light of the attic shined upon them and they faced the reality of the world. Something they didn't want to know. Unknown to Dinky, she slipped on Scootaloo’s just mopped floor and she accidentally pushed the box over, tipping it to the ground. Papers flew everywhere and what appeared in front of them is a small chest with markings. A mysterious chest.
“So… who’s going to open it?” Scoots asked. Honestly, no filly in the room didn’t want to.
Scootaloo sighed and picked up the chest with her hoof. She tried to opening it, but it wouldn't budge at all. “Why isn’t it opening?”
Apple Bloom took the chest and gazed at the mysterious chest with markings. Her eyes flickered to see the lock attached to it. “Scoots, didja notice th’ lock? If ya didn’t, Ah guess that’s why it wouldn’t open.”
“THERE’S A LOCK!” shouted Scoots. Her anger got the best of her, the feeling was giving her energy and it made her forget her sadness. “DAMN YOU, YOU STUPID—”
Scootaloo’s mouth was covered by SB. Sweetie glared at Scoots as she slowly took her hoof off of Scootaloo’s mouth. “Scootaloo, are you trying to get Rarity in here! If she heard this, we'll be doomed. I think you’ve been hanging out with Rainbow Dash too long!”
Scootaloo was a gaped as was Dinky’s and Apple Bloom’s were also. They didn’t expect Sweetie Belle to act so much like a bossy Apple Bloom and act like a dictionary.
Sweetie’s expression turned into an utterly questioning look and she captured what she had just said. Her hoof slammed against her tiny mouth and she immediately regretted her actions and words.
“OMG, I am sorry, Scootaloo,” Sweetie apologized. Scootaloo said it was fine and they gave a little, short hug (much to Scoots' dismay.) After the apology, some light footsteps were heard outside the attic door. The CMC’s eyes widened as they scrambled to get the place brand-new. Rarity was coming in and they couldn't let Sweetie into trouble, especially since they all opened the box together.
“Sweetie Belle, darling, I heard some shouting. Are you and Crusaders, alright? I’m coming inside if you don’t answer.”
No one answered. As what Rarity said, the door opened and CMC, in time, was able to fix and place everything back in order. Except for the small chest. It was decided that Scootaloo would keep it. She didn’t have a sibling, except for Rainbow Dash of course, and her parents aren’t at home, they are on a vacation (Scoot's under Rainbow Dash's surveillance.) Also because she’s the only one with a bag right now.
Rarity entered the scene and glanced warily at the little fillies. She trotted up towards them and wondered what they did to make such noise. “Sweetie Belle,” she started, “what was that dreadful noise? Are you fighting with the others again? If you are, please keep quiet. I need to concentrate for my outfits I’m making. Explain why there was such disturbing noise.”
“Rarity, we are done our cleaning and we’ve been just fighting over what cutie mark we should get next,” Sweetie Belle lied, as she gritted her teeth to able to lie.
Rarity looked around the attic, to see how clean it was. “Oh, okay, darling. I guess you can go and have your fun since this is sparkling. I am certain I’ll pick you up around seven, alright.”
Sweetie Belle had a lump in her throat as she kept her lying up. She swallowed the feeling as she answered, “Okay, Rarity. See you later at the c-club house.”
Rarity was puzzled as she just heard her little sister stutter. The thought was shook off and she said goodbye to little sister. The CMCs clopped their way to the attic door, giving nervous smiles and goodbyes to Rarity before leaving the Carousel Boutique to their vehicle.
Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Dinky went into the red wagon as Scoot climbed onto her prized scooter, which was connected to the wagon. The four put their helmets on before Scootaloo got her small wings to flutter away. After getting safe and secure, the orange filly got ready and rode away, trying not to bump into any ponies. Except, they were about to encounter a cyan-colored mare with a rainbow-colored mane and tail.
“Hey, little fillies.”
The voice stopped the four fillies from going any further. Scootaloo knew that voice anywhere and smiled as she stopped her wings from flutter. Her excitement got the best of her, because she was suppose to not stop at any rate for the CMCs need to get their club house.
“Hey, Rainbow Dash.” By now, Scootaloo’s helmet was off and the other CMCs came out of the wagon. Apple Bloom did a quick, tiny glare Scootaloo before turning herself towards RD.
“Scoots, Apple Bloom, Sweetie, and Dinks, whatcha guys up to?” Dash asked as she flied to the CMC’s level. “Is this another cutie mark finding thing?”
Scootaloo answered, “Yep, we tried jump rope earlier but it didn’t work. Then, we tried doing cleaning but that also failed. Now, we have nothing to do.”
Rainbow grinned and messed up Scootaloo’s hair. “Well, keep going. Why don’t you guys go to Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie says she made a new dessert, or that's what she said, not sure if it is true.”
Scootaloo thought for a moment. Apple Bloom, Dinky, and Sweetie Belle put on their pleading looks and Scootaloo groaned as they kept pleading. The three pleading CMCs liked going to Sugarcube Corner because of the desserts and sweets. Scootaloo didn't like sugar that much, except for the chocolate ice cream and milkshakes.
“Ugh, fine. We’ll go to Sugarcube Corner.” Scootaloo turned back to RD. “Bye, Rainbow Dash… Wait, where are you going?”
“Going to Rarity’s. She said she needs some models for her new dresses so it would be perfect for Sapphire Shores. Yeah, yeah, I know you’re wondering, why me? She said Fluttershy is busy with some new baby rabbits, Twilight has some test, and Pinkie, well, you already know, working at Sugarcube Corner. I think Applejack is coming, too. Not sure.” Rainbow Dash checked her watch and realized the time. “Dang it, Rarity is going to have a fit if I don’t leave now. Bye, Scoots. Pick you up later.”
“Bye, Rainbow Dash.”
Scootaloo waved goodbye and the cyan pegasus flew away to Carousel Boutique. Scootaloo smiled wildly as she put her helmet back on. “Oh, yes. Rainbow Dash is going to pick me up later.”
Apple Bloom roll her eyes. “Well, can weh go ta Sugarcube Corner?”
Scootaloo got out of her fan-girl mode and noticed her friends all waiting. “Okay, let’s go.”
In Carousel Boutique, Rarity patiently waited for Rainbow Dash with Derpy and Applejack. Rarity sighed and checked her watch. Applejack ate some apple fritters and drank some cider, while Derpy ate some carrot and blueberry muffins.
“Applejack Apple,” Rarity complained, “don’t eat with your mouth open! Derpy Hooves, what did I tell you about crumbs on floor!”
Applejack sighed and closed her mouth, chewing the food. She gulped the food down and retorted, “Stop complainin’, Rarity!”
Rarity grunted. “No, I will not. Live with it, Applejack.”
Applejack rolled her eyes. “Let’s just wait for Rainbow Dash. Ah don’t wanna start a fight now.”
“Me neither,” Rarity agreed.
By the next minute, RD came through the window and landed next to Derpy. “Hey, what’s up?”
Rarity stomped up to Rainbow and she angrily looked at her. “Where have you been?”
RD chuckled nervously. She knew an angry Rarity means real business. “Um, talking to Scoots.”
“While you were talking to Scootaloo, the rest of us were waiting for YOU.”
“Well, what did you want me for anyway? I was taking a nap on a cloud, and I didn’t want to be bothered,” RD asked annoyed.
“U-Um,” Rarity stuttered. “Why don’t we sit down and I’ll tell you the bad news.”
The four mares sat down on a sofa Rarity gotten weeks ago.
Applejack was first to ask what was going on. “So… why didja call us here?”
Rarity started to fumble with her hooves as she tried to tell them. “U-Um, y-you see.” Rarity continued to fumble with her hooves and Rainbow Dash was not impressed. She wanted to get this done, so she can go back to sleep.
“Tell us already!” she snapped, stomping her right hoof.
Derpy popped another muffin in her mouth and agreed with that. She had to do the mail, but was alerted by Applejack that Rarity had a terrible announcement, and it wasn’t about fashion.
“The chestismissing.”
“Ah am sorry, but what?” Applejack asked. She leaned her ear closer to Rarity as she said it again.
“The chestismissing.”
“Once more,” Derpy suggested.
“The chest is missing.”
Chapter 3: Sugarcube Corner and Secrets
Chapter 3: Sugarcube Corner and the Secret
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU THE CHEST IS MISSING!?” Rainbow Dash yelled, flying up from her seat. Her anger got the best of her as she was throwing a fit.
Rarity sighed, knowing Rainbow Dash would be like this. After all, Rainbow can’t hold her anger… very well. She levitated a cup of tea to her mouth to soothe her anxiety as began to explained what had happen. “After getting some help with cleaning, I realized that the chest was in the box in the attic. I went to go check it, but it wasn’t in the box where I first left it. I don’t know where it is, that is why I’m saying it’s missing.”
Applejack’s hoof took her Stetson from her head and her expression showed a worried face. “Rarity, if we don’t find it before our youngins, we’ll be rotten as a dead apple on the ground.” Applejack’s mind wandered to the reaction of Apple Bloom finding out: the anger building up in AB’s heart, her little sis ignoring her forever, it truly scared AJ to the core.
Derpy ate another muffin—the last one of her batch. Her eyes still “derped” and her face showed a little confusion. She tapped Rainbow Dash’s shoulder and asked, “Hey, Rainbow Dash. What chest are you guys talking?”
Rainbow hoof-faced. Realization dawned on her face, remembering Derpy’s not all fast on everything as most ponies are. She sighed as she repeated what Rarity had said.
“Oh.”
“Oh yes is right. We need to find this chest. Only our families, Fluttershy, Scoots’ parents, and the Mayor knows about what’s in the chest!” Rainbow panicked, not in a girly way though, more like in a shocked way. “We need to tell someone.”
“Rainbow’s right. We need ta tell th’ mayor ‘bout this,” Applejack said in a serious tone.
Rarity nodded. “Agreed.” She galloped to the phone, picked up it, and dialed the mayor’s number. She then waited for the ringing. Rainbow Dash and AJ sat down patiently as Derpy frowned. She ran out of muffins and she needed more—her addiction for them was telling her to get muffins and you know addictions of something cannot be stopped. The phone gave her an idea of calling Pinkie Pie for some more.
“Hey, Rarity, can I use the phone after you? I need to call Pinkie Pie for some muffins.”
Rainbow hoof-faced again. “Derpy, you need muffins now? You realized th—you know what, nevermind. Forget I freaking asked.”
“Okay.”
Minutes passed, Rarity was done chatting with the Mayor. She put the phone back and Derpy flew to it, picking it up, and calling Pinkie. Rainbow rolled her eyes as she thought how typically Derpy is and Rarity slightly smiled as she was ready to tell them the news.
“Mayor said she’ll ask some parents and the hospital. She’ll make sure Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Dinky don’t find out. Although, the Mayor mention we should tell Fluttershy about the problem…” Rarity stopped talking and she realized Pinkie Pie and Twilight don’t know about the truth (but Pinkie has actually known the whole time.) “Also, Pinkie Pie and Twilight.”
Applejack nodded in agreement. “Rarity’s right. We haven’t told our best friends yet now that ya mentioned it.”
“Whatever,” Rainbow Dash. “Let’s just hurry this up. I wanna take my nap!”
“Okay, okay.” Applejack turned to Derpy and pointed to her. “Let’s just wait for Derpy to finish her call; it might only take a minutes.”
Rainbow groaned as Rarity levitated the cup of tea to her mouth. She look a lady-like sip, closing her eyes and Rainbow groaned again as if she was reading one of Twilight’s science books or Rarity’s romantic novels. Rarity peeked an eye towards her cyan-colored friend, analyzing something. Her mane, it was very messy. She peeked at Applejack, even more flabbergasted. AJ had a lot of grease near her mouth. Rarity took the opportunity to “fix” them as they would barely visit the shop.
Rarity quickly moved around the shop, and before the two athletes could complain, she had them both in heels and beautiful stitched dresses/outfits. She also was able somehow put some lip gloss and change their hair style. Rainbow Dash groaned even louder than before as looked at the fabric around her.
“Damn it, Rares! What the freaking hell?” she yelled. She fidgeted and tried to shook off the sapphire-colored dress, she did luckily got the shoes off her hooves. “WHY AM I IN A STUPID DRESS!? I HATE WEARING A DRESS AND YOU KNOW IT! GET IT OFF ME!”
“And the diamond dogs say ‘I whine,’ ” Rarity muttered, remembering. She went back to reality to answer RD’s question. “Rainbow Dash, you’ve barely visited my shop over the week and you do owe me for—”
Rarity’s mouth was covered by somepony’s hoof and Rainbow’s face showed horror. She looked at Rarity with pleading eyes saying “don’t you dare say a word, I’m keeping it a secret." Rarity shot a glare to RD, telling her to keep the deal they made after something.
“Fine. I’ll come by your shop tomorrow.”
Rarity grinned as if she won the pony lottery. She used her knowing glance on Applejack to see if she was also fidgeting with her dress and might be causing rips. AJ was not doing anything as she was standing there, knowing that was going to happen. Now, all was to wait for Derpy to finish her call.
“Derpy, dear, are you done with the phone?”
Derpy, on cue, put the phone away and nodded. “Yes, Rarity.”
“Great, we shall leave to Fluttershy’s cottage first. Then, we’ll tell Twilight and Pinkie. Agreed?”
“Agree,” the other three said.
A while later.
In Sugarcube Corner, the CMCs were busy eating a slice of Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness* (or M.M.M.M. for short) and having milkshakes for their reward. When they arrived at Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie was actually busy with a sweets contest and she was running out of ingredients for the fifth round. The CMCs thought of being “Kitchen Helpers” would help them get their cutie marks. So, they ran to the food carts and collected all the ingredients Pinkie requested.
“Thanks again for helping me!!!” Pinked thankfully cheered. She just popped in front of the CMCs out of no where, which made Dinky kinda scared. Scared, Dinky hugged the closest thing beside her: Sweetie Belle.
“Welcom’, Pinkie, glad we could b’ o’ assistance,” Apple Bloom said. She continued to eat the slice of the cake she had as Pinkie Pie “popped” back into the kitchen.
Dinky let go of Sweetie as she spoke: “So, what do we do next?” Sweetie Belle checked to see if Pinkie was insight. Sweetie knew if Pinkie heard this, she would report this her sister and she would be in really big trouble.
“Ah dunno know?” Apple Bloom said. Her mouth was filled with the M.M.M.M. and Sweetie Belle looked in disgust.** She swallowed her pride as she took another delicious sip of her vanilla milkshake.
Scootaloo had an idea. A small grin appeared on her face, she was storming up something very bad. “How about opening”—she turned her head, making sure Pinkie or somepony wasn’t listening—“the chest,” she suggested.
The fillies gasped as the idea was spoken. You could hear water drip from the tap as some silence came. Dinky shook her head after recovering from the said idea.
“No, we might get into trouble. I don’t wanna risk it.”
Scootaloo sighed and pouted. “Fine.” She couldn’t argue since Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle also seemed to side with Dinky. Scoots loudly sighed before taking another sip onto her chocolate shake.
“But we need to open that box sooner or else will be questioning soon or later it’s like a… a… Sweetie Belle, what’s that idiom explaining if we do something early we don’t have to worry about it later?”
“The phrase is “a stitch in time saves nine”, you dodo ,” Sweetie Belle reminded, rolling her eyes as if it was the easiest thing ever.
“Oh yeah! Rarity sang that phrase in “The Art Of A Dress” number; not the reprise though, the original one,” Pinkie said, breaking the fourth wall once again. The little fillies all shrieked as they were surprised by Pinkie bursting out again.
“P-Pinkie, why didja scare us?”
“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you, Apple Bloom.”
“It’s fine.”
“Wait!” Scootaloo interrupted warily. “Did you hear what we were saying?”
“Yep-er-rooney.”
The CMCs’ eyes widened.
“Pinkie, pinkie promise you won’t say this to Rarity,” Sweetie begged.
“Cross my heart”—she crossed her chest—“and hope to fly! Stick a cupcake in my eye.” Pinkie covered her eye with her hoof, sealing the promise. The CMCs let a breath of relief out as they know Pinkie isn’t the type to break a promise, especially since Pinkie made it herself.
“Thanks, Pinkie,” Apple Bloom thanked.
“No problemo. I bet the readers would want me to keep your secret a secret anyway!” Pinkie broke the fourth wall once again and suddenly remember the order of muffins Derpy wanted. “Dinky, here’s the muffins your sister wanted.” She handed the package of blueberry, chocolate, and strawberry muffins to her.
“Thanks, Pinkie.”
“Welcome once again!” Pinkie’s clock clucked, yeah it clucked, literally. “Oh, I gotta close up the shop. Today, I close up at six fifty because of bowling night with Twilight, Spike, and Fluttershy. So, you better get going. Rares, Dashie, Derpy, and Applejack are picking you up in ten minutes.”
Apple Bloom checked the clock and it read: 6:50. “Darn it, we have to get to the clubhouse. Scootaloo, can you get there lickity split?”
Scootaloo nodded. “Yep! Ride on!”
The fillies bolted out Sugarcube Corner as Pinkie closed up the shop. Scootaloo climbed onto her scooter and Dinky, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom jumped into the wagon. Scootaloo’s wings fluttered as the vehicle started moving quickly.
Just in time, they arrived two minutes early and luckily, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow, and Derpy didn’t come yet. Scootaloo took the chest out of her bag and hid the chest under a loose floorboard Apple Bloom was going to fix today; Dinky and Sweetie packed their school backs with textbooks and papers of homework; and Apple Bloom messed up the clubhouse with some dust to make it look like they used it for hours.
Two minutes came and the door opened. The big sisters clopped in and looked for their younger one. Lucky for them, Dinky, at the last minute, took out a game of “Ponies Questionnaire”. The sisters stopped talking and they looked at their sibling.
Rarity skedaddled to Sweetie Belle and smiled. “Alright, Sweetie Belle, darling, let’s go. I’ve made your favorite dinner tonight.”
“Really?” Sweetie’s eyes twinkled as she thought about the delicious food. It made her feel so happy.
“Thank you, Rarity.” She hopped to Rarity and hugged her. Then, said her goodbye to her friends. Rarity also said goodbye before slowly walking to the entrance.
“Bye, Sweetie Belle. Bye Rarity,” the Apples and Hooves said. Rarity and Sweetie Belle waved their hooves goodbye before leaving the clubhouse’s inside. Applejack nudged Rainbow as Apple Bloom nudged Scootaloo.
“Bye,” Rainbow and Scootaloo said. They heard a slight goodbye from outside.
After the sentimental goodbye to SB and R, Derpy also had to go. “Let’s go home, too, Dinky,” Derpy suggested, her eyes “derped” as she picked up Dinky and put her on her back. “Bye, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. Bye Applejack and Apple Bloom.” Derpy flew out of the clubhouse with Dinky.
Rainbow Dash also decided to leave at the moment also. “C’mon. Scoots. I gotta get you to my house so I can call your mom about how you are doing.” Also because I have to tell her about the chest.
“Okay. Bye, Apple Bloom. Bye, Applejack.”
“Yeah, bye, Apples,” Rainbow Dash concluded.
Applejack smiled. “Bye, Rainbow. Bye, Scootaloo.”
And the last goodbye of the night. “Bye, Rainbow Dash. Bye, Chicken***.” Apple Bloom snickered as she said the funny nickname.
“I am not a chicken!” Scootaloo shouted. She grunted as she climbed onto Rainbow’s back.
“Whatever, Chicken.” Apple Bloom kept giggling on as Applejack was about to scold her.
Rainbow and Scootaloo left the clubhouse, leaving a trail of dust.
“Sugarcube, let’s go home. I heard Granny Smith is going to cook some apple fritters.”
Apple Bloom squeaked. “Yay! I love eating apple fritters.”
“Yeah, I can see.” Applejack chuckled as they left the clubhouse. AJ thought about what happened at Fluttershy’s cottage. Let’s leave it with saying Discord is going to have to keep a secret.
