Twilight transforms Spike
"Spike! Where are you?" Twilight yelled. Her voice reverberated through the dilapidating castle walls. Well, it was the castle that Princess Luna and Celestia lived in a very long time ago. So of course it would bounce all sound off its stone walls, Spike thought to himself. The purple dragon came rushing over after an approximate ten seconds.
"Oh, there you are, Spike. I just found this really cool book, but I need your assistance." Twilight told Spike. He just grumbled to himself for a while.
"Fineeeeeee. What do I have to do?" He asked the alicorn, obviously unenthusiastic.
"I need you... to help me test it out!" She replied. Spike, knowing what was going to happen, passed out on the cold castle floor.

"Okay, ready?" Twilight asked Spike, who was now awake. When he stood up, he slowly nodded, ready to be turned into a pumpkin, or maybe a tree. He was lost in thought until a few seconds later, when his body was engulfed in a strange green aura. He held his breath and braced for the worst. His claws felt like they were fusing together, and his upper body became heavier until he was forced to go on his hands and knees. Or, in this case, hooves.
"YES! It worked! How do you feel, Spike?"
Spike tried to stand up, but his body was stuck on his four legs. He still felt dizzy from the transformation.
"Um, I feel... different. Is that normal?"
"Why don't you take a look?" Twilight replied. Spike got to the closest mirror near him, and was surprised by what his reflection looked like.
"You-you turned me into... AN EARTH PONY?" He yelled. He wasn't mad; not at all. Spike personally liked his, well, spikey new look. Even though his spines were replaced with flammable green hair that stuck up, and his smooth purple coat took place where his thick scales used to be. Not to mention, he was way taller than he expected, almost bigger than Twilight.
"Do you not like it? I can try to-" She was quickly cut off by Spike.
"No, no, no, no, no, I love it! How long will it last? An hour? A week?" Spike said, almost too fast to understand him.
This question took the alicorn princess a while to figure out. She didn't say anything for a while, just stared blankly into space. After a long time, she came up with an answer.
"It should last for.... 48 hours?"
Knowing this was only two days time, he rushed out the door of the library.
"Spike!" He heard Twilight's voice call. "Be careful, and no stealing stuff!"
Rats. That knocked one thing off his bucket list.
