HISTORY OF THE WONDRBOLTS: MOVIE
“I still think that this is a bad idea”
“And yet you're here, standing in line with the rest of us.” Rainbow respond, earning her a grumble from her lavender friend.
Rainbow and Twilight were waiting patiently for the next screening of the History of the Wonderbolts Movie. With them are their four other friends. Applejack and Rarity stood behind Twilight and Rainbow, while Pinkie and Fluttershy were behind those two.
The six mares are here because Rainbow needs to know the history of the wonderbolts, if she wants to be a member of their reserves. Twilight suggested good old traditional studying, but Rainbow could not pay attention to any of her lectures.
Seeking the assistance of her friends, each of them were about show their method of studying when Rainbow stopped them. She suggested going to the theater and watch the wonderbolts movie. All four agree with her idea, but Twilight was having none of that.
This erupted into an argument about whether to go to the movie or not. The five ponies used democracy and try outvote her, but then she used her princess authority and veto them. They then threaten to secede, which Twilight responded by having them arrested.
This went on for a while until Twilight finally gave in and they all went to the theater.
The princess didn't bother to hide her grumpiness, as she has a frown on her face. Her blue pegasus friend notices this and rolled her eyes.
“You know, you don't have to come if you're so against it.” Rainbow pointed it out to her.
“I'm only here so that I can correct some of the historical inaccuracy the movie makes.” Twilight replied.
“Now sugercube, why would ya think the movie would be inaccurate?” Asked a familiar southern voice.
Twilight turn to face her orange, stetson wearing friend. “The reason why it will be inaccurate is because this is a movie, not a documentary!”
“What the hay is the difference?” Rainbow said, a bit angrily.
“The difference is that documentary actually follows the source they are based on. Movies however, loosely follow their sources and tend to change or over exaggerate the truth.”
Hearing this, Rainbow gave a very mature response. By sticking her tongue and blowing a raspberry. Twilight didn't take it too kindly and stare daggers at her.
Behind these two, both Applejack and Rarity gave each other a look of concern. Knowing where this heading, they both decided to bud in before it escalates.
“Settle down there partner.” Applejack said to Rainbow. “No need to get all worked up, Twilight is entitled to her own opinion.”
“It's not an opinion, it's facts!” Twilight yelled out.
“Honestly Darling can you keep your down, you're making a scene.” Rarity said as she points her hoof at the ponies passing by, giving the group odd looks. “Do you really want to get kicked out of the movie theater like last time?”
“Whoa, hold on a second that wasn't my fault.” Twilight quickly defended herself. “That movie showed a complete misinterpretation of the conflict between Princess Celestia and Princess Luna”
“You were disturbing the audience.”
“I was just pointing out that there was no epic war that lead to Luna's transformation to Nightmare Moon. I should know, I was there!” Twilight exclaim. “That event lasted less than five minutes!”
”Nopony cares!” Rainbow shouted.
“But it's the truth!”
“Do we have a problem here?” Said a stern stallion's voice.
The six mares turn their attention to a green stallion with black mane, wearing a red vest with a name tag. The usher was giving the stink eye to the lavender alicorn.
“Do I have to kick you out like last time?”
Twilight sighs and spoke up. “No, Mr. Knickknack that won't be necessary. I will not bother the ponies.”
“Good, make sure that you do.” He said and left the group.
“Hear that Twilight, no more nitpicking.” Rainbow pokes her with her elbow, all the while having a smug look on her face.
Twilight grumbles to herself silently and continue waiting in line for the next screening.
Finally the doors open and a swarm of ponies came streaming out. When the last of them were out, Twilight and the rest of her friends were able to enter through the door. Once inside the six mares look around for a good spot to sit together.
“I really wish ponies hadn't just left their garbage on the floor.” Rarity comment, having the look of disgust on her face as she just step on some spilled soda.
“Oh come on Rare, don't let this little mess bother ya.” The orange mare said, taking a seat.
When her butt touches the chair, Applejack felt a warm, wet, squishy sensation. Immediately jumping off, she had the look of disgust on her face.
“What's wrong Applejack? Is the mess bothering you?”
“Shut up Rarity.” As Applejack trots away, she made a mental note to take a bath after this.
Eventually the group found a good spot and all six took their seats. Pinkie offer everyone popcorn and sodas as they wait for the film to start. The girls were perplex that Pinkie got these, even though they never saw her buy them from the stand. Since this was Pinkie Pie, they didn't question it any further.
Around them, seats were being filled up as the six continue to wait for the movie to start. Finally the large room darkened and the big film screen came to life.
Instead of the actual movie they all been waiting for, they got instead trailers of other upcoming movies.
Twilight didn't pay much attention to these trailers, rather she a made a mental checklist of things the movie might might either alter or cut out. She only caught a few glimpses of these trailers. She couldn't help but, roll her eyes at some of their ridiculous premises.
Like this one about a stallion who is playing both the brother and the sister character. The sister is just him wearing a wig and make-up. Then there was this trailer about a high class unicorn that suddenly turn into a stapler for some reason. And lastly, there was this one trailer where Soarin of the Wonderbolts became a tooth fairy.
Finally the trailers ended and the movie was about to start. Twilight payed full attention to the screen, preparing to point out any of the mistakes the film makes.
“Presenting the elite aerial performers of the E..U.P. Guards!” Shouted the announcer as a squadron of seven pegasuses flew in overhead.
The lead pegasus turns his head towards the rest of his squad. “Now, does everypony knows what to do?” He waited for their response, getting a mix answers of yays or nays.
“Is he seriously asking that question now!” Twilight loudly whisper to her friends who all gave her an annoyed look.
Applejack shushes her friend, hoping this will keep her quiet. It did not.
“I mean like seriously, for the captain of elite aerial performers you think he would have his squad more prepared for this.”
“Twilight, please be quiet.” Fluttershy whisper to her, but it fell on deaf ears.
“Also the captain looks way too young, the actual captain was in his late forties. This stallion looks like he's in his early twenties.”
The five mares groan as their lavender continue to point out the errors the movie makes. Rainbow rolls her eyes again, knowing that this wasn't going to be any good,
A pink pegasus mare with blue hair trotted in front of the line of elite pegasus fliers, as she stared at each of their faces. “Soldiers that was the most reckless, stupid and not to mention craziest performance I've ever seen.” The line of pegasuses let their heads fall down in shame.
“And yet it was one of the best show I ever seen.” All the ponies looked up to their General, their faces shock at what she just said. “Your performance was full of so much energy, the audience was filled with both wonder and amazement.”
General Firefly then turns and face all the ponies in line. “From this day forth, you shall be called the Wonderbolts!”
“Yeah, even though you endanger the life of several ponies, I'm still impressed by your performance.” Twilight said, pretending to be General Firefly.
“Twilight please, you're going to get kicked out again.” Rarity warns her.
“I'm sorry Rarity, but the fact that they're getting rewarded instead of being punished for their reckless action just really bothers me.”
“Anything else you like to point out?” Rainbow sarcastically asks.
“Actually, yeah there is, Princess Celestia's hair was not pink, it's pretty much the same as it is now. I should know, I was there.”
Once again the five mares gave a collective groan.
Inside the office of Colonel Purple Dart, the elderly stallion was looking over some reports when suddenly his door burst opened. Standing in the doorway was a very angry young stallion.
“What is the meaning of this Sergeant?” The Colonel questioned his subordinate’s violent action.
Instead of answering the young sergeant slam a piece of note on to the Purple Dart's deck. “Why didn't you tell me my friend is missing in action!” He yelled in from of the old stallion's face.
“Listen son, you need to calm down-”
“No, you listen.” The sergeant smash his hoof on the wooden table. “I trusted you sir and you lied to my face! You were like a father me!”
“What!” Twilight suddenly blurted.
The mares groan again, preparing for Twilight to point out another mistake.
“Sergeant Aerial Ace never saw Colonel Purple Dart as his father! He was a superior he highly respected.”
“Commander Easyglider! The griffons are shooting arrows right at us from the back.!”
“Tell everypony to form up and follow my lead! I know a few maneuvers that will get us out this jam!”
All the pegasuses behind the Commander followed her lead as they all flew slightly to the left. Dodging the barrage of arrows being shot at them by the griffons.
“What kind of maneuver is that! All they did was just move lazily to the left!”
“Twilight keep it down, you're bothering the other audience.” Applejack informs her purple friend.
Admiral Fairweather was trapped inside a burning building. The doors are blocked by flames, the only other exit was the window, but his wings are still injured from the last mission.
“Curses, if only my wings could work right now.” The mare said, while looking up at the open window.
“Wait a second I got any idea.” She then proceeds to climb up a tower of crates and stood at the very top. Fairweather spread her wings and jump off. While she may not be able to fly, she cans still glide her way out. As jump into the open flame, the fire pushes her upwards, floating her to the window.
“Yes, it works! By using the hot gasses from the fire, I shall float my way out of here!”
Surprisingly Twilight didn't say anything during this scene. The princess just had both her hooves planted right on her face. If one listens closely they can hear the muffled voice of disbelief.
A lone pegasus mare silently trotted through the campsite at night, she was apparently meeting someone, somewhere. Hiding in the shadows, the mare made sure none of the guards sees her.
As she came closer to the spot, the mare bump into someone. Looking up, she came face to face with a large griffon. The two stared at each other for a bit, until all of a sudden they hug each other.
“I miss you so much Maxwell.” The mare said, continuing her embracing with the griffon.
“And I missed you as well, my Dear Fairy Flight.” Maxwell responded.
The two then broke off from their hug and stare into each others eyes. They then lean closer and kissed.
“That is so romantic.” Rarity whispered.
“But, they were never a couple!” Twilight pointed out. “Admiral Fairy Flight and Admiral Maxwell were just good friends! Not lovers!”
“Shut up, Twilight.” Said Rainbow.
“Presenting Flaire De Mare new flight costume!”
The drapes open up and reveal a pegasus wearing a blue suit with a yellow lightning bolt on the chest.
“What! That doesn't look like anything from the books I read!”
“Shut up, Twilight.”
“I didn't say anything.”
“What-oh right, sorry.” Rainbow apologizes. “What I meant to say is, shut up Rarity.”
General Flash stood in front of a large crowd of ponies, preparing to make an announcement. “Ladies and gentlestallions, I have come to tell you all some good news. The griffons have agreed on a peace treaty. The war is over!”
Everypony in the crowd burst into joy, all glad the war is finally over.
“Yes, let it be known that Equestria is getting a new era of peace!” The General shouted, then proceeds to join the celebration.
And with that, the screen turns black and the white text, The End.
The lights turned on in the large room. Everypony got and stretch their legs, neck, or wings. They all then headed towards the exits.
“That their movie was something, I tell ya what.” Applejack Spoke.
“Yeah, that movie was amazing!” Said the enthusiastic Pinkie Pie.
“I almost cried at the part when Fairy Flight and Maxwell broke up.” Rarity commented.
“I especially liked how well structured the story was.” Fluttershy added.
“Yeah, it would've been better if somepony didn't complain every scene.” Rainbow said it to nopony particular, but Twilight knew who she meant.
As the group got out of the theater, Rainbow took a look at her watch. “Holy smokes! My test is like in a few of hours, see ya later.” The blue mare instantly took flight, leaving her five friends behind.
The next day, Rainbow came back and reveal that she passed the test. While the movie wasn't a hundred percent accurate, it was enough for her to get a passing grade.
For the next couple of days, Rainbow would constantly taunt Twilight over the fact that she passed her test by watching a movie. Eventually she had enough and took the very same test. She passed with a perfect score and proceeds to rub it in Rainbow's face.
