Applejack gave a nervous smile to granny smith, whilst she trusted Twilight, she knew her magic could be a bit, unpredictable. Granny Smith was much more confident in Twilight’s abilities, and was more than happy to take Twilight up on her offer to fix her hip.

“Are you sure about this, Granny Smith”, Applejack asked hoping to convince granny smith to change her mind.

“Of course I’m sure, Applejack, Twilights only going to fix ma hip, not turn me into apple sauce”

“You sure you can do this Twi?” Applejack asked.

“Of course I’m sure Applejack, nothing will go wrong” Twilight said placing a reassuring hoof on Applejacks shoulder, “I promise everything will be okay”.

“I’m sure it will be, its just, sometimes your magic doesn’t always work the way it’s supposed to” Applejack said.

“That was only the one time Applejack, and Fluttershy’s no longer batty now,” Twilight responded feeling somewhat offended by her friends comment.

“What about the time with the parasprites?” Applejack asked again, recalling the problems that those winged creatures had caused her.

“Okay, two times," Twilight mumbled.

“Or the time where you brought all those brooms to life to help clean up, but they started to flood the place, and whenever we cut one in half, two more would grow out of the splinters.”

“That never happened, look AJ, don’t you trust me?” Twilight said her hoof once again reassuring Applejacks shoulder.

“I trust you twilight but I just don’t want anything bad to happen to Granny Smith” Applejack confessed rubbing her leg.

“Applejack, everything;s going to be fine, Twilight knows what she’s doing”

“Well if you’re sure…”

Twilights horn lit up illuminating the room with its bright purple glow, Granny Smith became encompassed in light as bright purple ribbons slithered around her, until she was completely enveloped, and then, everything went white.

When Twilight woke up, she felt different, opening her eyes she noticed the celling seemed further away than it did the other times she woke up on her floor. Twilight sat up, her eyes came into contact with one of her book shelves, it also looked different, bigger than usual. These differences concerned Twilight, either her entire library was bigger, or she was smaller.

“Twilight, I think something went wrong” a voice called out, it sounded like Applejack, but with a higher pitch.

Twilight turned her head to see Applejack and Granny Smith had both been turned into fillies, she rubbed her eyes with her hooves trying to wake up from what seemed like a dream. However as she reopened her eyes, she noticed nothing had changed. Oh poop, she thought to herself.

“Well at least it’s not too bad, heh heh…” Twilight said, laughing nervously as a small but angry Applejack stared at her with the fury of a thousand blazing suns.

“Not too bad?!” Applejack exclaimed, “You've gone turned us into fillies, how can it possibly get any worse.”

“Well, at least we weren’t disintegrated…” Twilight replied smiling nervously at the unamused pony.

“Ahh fiddlesticks Applejack” a younger Granny Smith spoke, “don’t be so hard on Twilight, I haven’t felt this good in years, and I’m sure she can fix it.”

Applejack turned her head back to look back at Twilight causing her to jump, using her magic she picked up the book she was using and started skimming through the pages for a solution to her current predicament. Twilight jumped again this time at the sound of somepony loudly knocking at the door.

“You keep looking for a cure Twi, I’ll get the door” Applejack said walking over to the door.

She looked up realising the doorknob was further away than she was used to. The door knocked again, this time louder and somewhat more urgent. Applejack stretched up and turned the doorknob to be knocked over by the rush of four fillies running in through the door. To every ponies surprise these fillies had a remarkable resemblance to their friends.

“Oh no, it happened to you too” the filly who resembled Rairity exclaimed.

“Do you have any idea what could have caused this?” a small Rainbow Dash asked.

“Yeah” Apple Jack said rubbing her head, “I think we have some idea” Applejacks eyes locked onto Twilight who nervously looked up from her book. The other ponies looked towards Twilight in confusion.

“Well, tell us Twilight” Rairity said trying to get to the cause of the current situation

“Well…” Twilight started, “it might be my fault…” she said rubbing the back of her head nervously.

“Wait a second, you turned us into fillies, wow Twilight, you must be really good at magic if you can turn the whole of Ponyvile into fillies” Pinkie Pie said possibly not aware of the severity of the current situation.

“The whole of Ponyvile?!” Twilight exclaimed, suddenly realising what this could mean “SPIKE!!!!!!!” Twilight called out worried for the safety of her oldest friend.

The library went silent, and then there was a loud thump followed by the sound of tiny feet running down the stairs.

“Whats wrong, oh…” Spike slowed down to a walking pace noticing the change to his friends, “Twilight, what happened?” He asked confused by the groups transformation

Twilight rushed over hugging Spike tightly, glad that he was unaffected by the spell.

“Wait what about Sweetiebell” Rarity said in a panic.

“And Applebloom” Applejack said joining Rarity.

“And Scootaloo!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

And with that everypony ran out the library towards the school, leaving Spike more confused than he was ten seconds ago.

Ms Cheerly tried to stretch her neck up, she was now the same size as the class she taught and it occurred to her that, her sudden change was perhaps the reason they were behaving so erratically.

“Class, please, everypony calm down” Cheerly called out trying to calm the ponies rushing around the room in a hectic frenzy.

The door to the classroom swung open as Twilight, Applejack, Rairity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Granny Smith stood in the doorway. Applejack and Rarity ran to their respective sisters hugging them tightly as Rainbow Dash casually strolled over to Scootaloo trying to maintain her cool attitude and conceal her overall relief of Scootaloos safety before giving her a hug.

“Thank goodness you’re okay” Rarity said hugging her somewhat confused sister.

“Rarity? What happened to you?” Sweetie belle asked.

“Well, it wasn't particularly well explained to me but I believe Twilight has some form of an explanation” Rarity said looking towards Twilight.

Twilights wings ruffled as she remembered just how much trouble she now was in, every pony in Ponyville was now a filly or colt and Twilight was unable to find a spell to fix the situation, thoughts zoomed through her head, she could ask princess Celestia for help but how would her tutor react to such reckless use of magic, there must be somepony else she could ask for help but who?

“Errrm Twilight, are you okay?” Fluttershy asked placing her hoof on Twilights shoulder.

“What, yes of course I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?” Twilight said regaining consciousness of her surroundings.

“Well you've been staring into space whilst talking to yourself for the past five minutes and you were kinda freaking us out” Pinkie Pie said with her usual energetic voice.

Twilight hadn’t said anything since she had returned to her library, it became apparent to her that this might be the most she has ever screwed up, that Princess Celestia herself may have to come to ponyvile to fix this, and give Twilight a look of disappointment that would rip her soul into tiny pieces.

“Twilight, we need to write a letter to Princess Celestia to ask for help” Applejack said taking charge of the situation.

“Awww, do we have to do this so soon, it’s so much fun being a filly again” Pinkie Pie whined bouncing around the bookshelves.

“Whilst it’s nice to be young again Pinkie Pie, I’m afraid I must agree with Applejack, its just not practical to be at this size” Rarity said.

“It would help a lot to be bigger, if you don’t mind Twilight, feeding and taking care of the animals has become a bit more difficult” Fluttershy said in her usual quiet yet considerate voice.

Twilight snapped back to reality, telling the princess what had happened, that it was all her fault, that was not an option, but then who was, who else could she ask for help, none of her books had any information Twilight could use to undo her the spell.

“Wait!” Twilight shouted as a new idea entered her mind, “maybe we can ask Zecora, she’s really good at magic and we don’t want to distract princess Celestia from her very important royal duties with something so trivial” Twilight said rushing out the door carrying her friends with her cloud of magic.

“You know Twi, I don’t think trivial is the word I would use to describe this situation” Rainbow dash said who was now floating upside down in the field of Twilights magic.

“Yeah, I’d say it was more funarific, or fantabalousy or amazatastic” Pinkie giggled happily bouncing in the bubble

“Twilight, would you mind putting us down so we can talk to you properly” Applejack asked trying to keep her hat on her head.

“Yes of course, sorry” Twilight said lowering everypony safely to the floor.

“Now why don’t you want to ask the princess for help?” Applejack asked trotting alongside the alicorn.

“I just don’t want to bother her is all” Twilight responded still sweating bullets.

“Okay stop this now Twi,” Applejack said stopping in front of Twilight, “we’re you’re friends, and we will always love you no matter what, and that means you can always tell us the truth.”

“I’m, afraid that when the princess finds out, it was my fault she’ll disown me” Twilight confessed looking down.

“Don’t be ridiculous Twilight” Fluttershy said, “Princess Celestia will always love you no matter what.”

“Do you think we could try solving this on our own first for a bit please?” Twilight pleaded.

The others looked at each other and nodded in succession agreeing to Twilights request to go ask Zecora for help.
