Second Chance

The next morning in Ponyville was bright, birds chirping and all the ponies on the street, however, at the town hall, a very large crowd was gathering for the main event of the day, Second Chance, the new alicorn in town and Princess Celestia were waiting patiently for all the townspeople to finish their business before both of them will battle one against the other in a yu gi oh Duel.

“Well, there are a lot of ponies here, but why did you bring this outside” Celestia calmly states, eyeing all the cheering ponies. The solar diarch was without her regalia, instead, she was wearing a white and gold vest with a deck of cards on her left pocket, a little cap on her head and the gilded shoes, also a light blue skirt, and Second Chance was wearing his trademark black cape, one military grade vest, and a blue scarf on his neck, Twilight and all the others (sans Nyx, who was seeing the event from the library) where on the sidelines, watching. A lot of recent acquaintances of Chance also were with the crowd, Lonely Tears and Tech Support, the representatives of  the newly funded Kaiba Corp, were on the left side with some of Chance supporters, however, the majority of the town were on the Princess side of the battlefield.

“Because we don’t have the facilities ready, a good battlefield is about this town square in size, so we need to pull this event  outside this time” Second Chance quickly answers, “Also we are fighting with the holographic display so all the ponies in the event can see” he added, a mischievous smirk on his face.

“I was wondering about that, why did you pull this off two weeks?” Celestia asked, doing some little conversation, in the meanwhile, the last of the ponies in town arrives, and Mayor Mare do a signal to Second Chance, nodding her head to mean all the ponies are gathered.

“You will see” Second Chance says to Celestia, before turning around and facing the crowd.

“Good afternoon, mares and gentlecolts," Lonely Tears began, gaining the attention from the crowd, "we are gathered here today to see one of the latest advances in technology that arrives to Equestria” he continues, all the crow spectant, “However, this technology at first will be used only with entertainment purposes, and when we could develop it further, I am sure that it  will change our world, now, I present to all of you the holographic display with  friendly Trading Card Game called Duel Monsters!” At the same time, Second Chance smash a card against the Duel Disk on her wrist, a big white and blue dragon materializing and opening its wings, then roaring in defiance to the sky.

“Stardust Dragon” Twilight whispers, all her friends and the other crowd members seeing the spectacle before them openmouthed.

“Now, for this exhibition we have a duel between Princess Celestia” Lonely Tears picks up, “and the CEO of Kaiba Corp, and the stallion behind the game, Second Chance,” all the crowd began to cheer wildly, Celestia waving at the crowd, and Chance doing the same, “for this purpose, we proudly have a gift for the Diarch of the sun, the very first Duel Disk made in Equestria!” After that, the older pony goes where Second Chance stood, and after a little word with him, he materializes a gold duel disk, and, giving it to Celestia, both players were out to opposite sides of the town square.

“Duel!”

“Lady’s first” The stallion on the west side speaks, all the crowd again silent, expecting what is going to happen next.

Princess Celestia's Turn

TURN 01

“Oh thank you, I am going to summon Celestial Knight, Fendragon, in attack mode” when she puts the card on the disk, a white armored stallion with a huge mace materializes next to Celestia, bowing before her and turning around.

“And now, its effect activates, all my Celestial Knights have an effect when summoned, I choose the first effect, Imperial Orders” The white stallion rears up, and then, it smashes the ground, creating a little portal, “it can allow me to summon another “Celestial Knight” monster from my deck in Defense position, but it can’t be used as a Synchro material, come forward, Celestial Knight, Galdred” from the portal, another stallion appears, wielding a huge shield and a sword, after that, it raises his shield, gaining a crouching position.

“Thank you”, Chance suddenly says, “when a monster with lvl 4 or lower is special summoned, this card can be summoned as well from my hand, now, I special summon, Tech Genius, Warwolf!” a brown and white wolf, standing in two legs, appears at the side of Second chance, smiling with a sharp tooted smile to the ponies at the other side.

“It does not matter” Celestia continues, “Celestyal Knight Galdred effect, Providence!” she exclaims, the armored pony on her side shinning briefly, “Now, this card is considered a Tuner monster, I put two cards face down, and I end my turn” Two cards appears behind the two armored ponies at Celestia's side.

Second Chance's Turn

TURN 01

“Ok my turn, draw” the robbed pony says, smiling all of the sudden, “Perfect, I summon Tech Genius Catapult Dragon” a little dragon with a cannon like head appears. roaring to the princess and half extending its leathery wings.

“Now Catapult's effect activates, once per turn, I can special summon one lvl 3 or lower T.G. tuner monster from my hand, Power Sling!” the dragon monster rears up, and a red and black monster appears in the cannon, getting airborne. “I summon Tech Genius, Jet falcon.

Now I can use the tuner monster for an additional special summon, I tune up Jet Falcon and Catapult dragon” the falcon creature apparently vanish, leaving 3 white stars in the field, they align themselves in a tube like fashion, enveloping the dragon

“When technology and magic are one, the wiser path is revealed, Synchro Summon, Tech genius, Hyper Librarian."

A beam of light struck, leaving the crowd momentarily blinded, when it vanishes, a gray pony with lenses and robed in white and black garments appears, holding a glowing book in its magic.

“Now Celestia, Jet Falcon effect resolves, Ghost feather!” a black feather appears, and struck Celestia’s Duel Disk.

CELESTIA 8000 – 500 = 7500

“When Jet Falcon is used as a material for a Synchro summon, it does 500 damage to the opponent, also, while Hyper librarian is face up on the field, each time either of us Synchro summons a monster, it allow's me to draw one card for each Synchro Summon made.

The crowd was peeved, a great battle was starting, Celestia’s heart was racing inside her chest, with a smile, and she stands proudly and looks at all the ponies gathered.

“Very well, I don’t have to hold on any more, Second Chance, here I come, draw!”
