It had been a long day on the farm. Every muscle in her body was sore and aching. As she approached the farm house she couldnt help but think of her friend and crush Rainbow Dash, A.J. hated the fact that she loved her best friend. A.J. quickly exiled the thought from her mind as she reached the door of the farm house, as she walked through the door A.J. was startled when Big Mack snuck around the corner and nearly ran into her.
"Sorry.", Big Mack said apologetically. A.J. kindly bowed her head accepingly and continued through the house. She walked up the stairs to the hallway and continued walking till she reached her room, she threw her door open to find everything the way she had left it. A.J. took a few more steps towards her closet to relieve herself of her saddlebags. She felt a wave of relief rush over her as her bag hit the floor in the closet.
A.J. decided to go lay down in her bed, as she reached the bed she heard granny yell up to her;
"Mack and I have some running to do in town, we'll be back around dusk. Apple Bloom's at sweety Bell's for a sleep over, she shouldn't be home til tomorrow so you have the house to yourself. NO COLTS are aloud in the house until we get back." A.J. hollered back in agreement and laid down in her bed and slowly fell asleep.

A.J. drempt of Rainbow Dash and herself sitting in a room together, she was sitting with her head resting on R.D.'s shoulder with her eyes closed, Rainbow was smiling as she tilted her head to rest on A.J.'s. Then Rainbow turned to A.J. and said;
"I love you, Apple Jack.", the way she said it was in the most sincere way A.J. had ever heard, she tried to reply but her voice wouldn't let her. She simply sat there, unable to speak, and stared into R.D.'s eyes and felt mesmerized by the way that the light was reflected from Rainbow's eyes. Then she felt Rainbow start to lean in as the two mares eyes slowly closed and their muzzles met and they exchanged a long passionate kiss, A.J. felt the fur on the back of her neck stand on end as a wave of pure ecstasy coursed through her body. I love this dream already, she thought to herself.

She awoke with a start as she heard creaking coming from the hallway, she looked out her window and saw that she had only slept about an hour, she felt refreshed none the less, but then turned her attention back to whomever or whatever was in the hallway. She slowly got out of bed and walked as quietly as possible over to the closet to grab anything that could be used as a weapon. She looked in the closet to find a baseball bat, she picked it up with her mouth and carefully walked towards the door to her room. She reached the door and heard the clicking of hooves on the hardwood floor, she sat patiently as the noise got closer and closer. Whatever was in the house was now standing at her doorway, its shadow was cast across the ground and A.J. could tell it was a pegasus.
A.J. quickly swung the bat and knocked out the intruder, she heard the unconscious body make a loud thud sound as it hit the ground. Relieved she took a peek to see who it had been, and laying on the ground in the hall was an unconscious Rainbow Dash. A.J. quickly threw the bat into her room and rushed to the other mares side. What is she doing here, A.J. thought to herself, and I just hit her with a baseball bat, I doubt she'll ever forgive me., she instinctively dragged R.D. to the bed and laid her down. She ran downstairs and got a glass of water and some headache medication that A.J. had gotten from Zecora for migraines and ran up the stairs to the bedroom. When she got there, Rainbow was laying in the bed holding her head, her eyes clenched shut. A.J. walked over to the bedside, bave her the water and a few of the pills and sat down.
"You didn't need to hit me in the head you know.", Rainbow muttered, "good hit though." A.J. saw a smile reach across R.D.'s face as she said the last word.
"I'm sorry.", A.J. said as she reached a hoof out to the other mare. "It's just that you didn't give me any kind of warning."
"And I'm sorry that I scared you"
"It's fine, what are you doing here anyways?", A.J. questioned.
"I wanted to see you before anypony else, I got out of the wonderbolt academy first thing this morning, and I wanted to give you a surprise visit.", R.D.'s head sank as she explained the circumstances, A.J. noticed that Rainbow was blushing.
"I'm sorry for hitting you in the head, and I'm glad you're here.", A.J. couldn't help it, she felt her face start to burn as she blushed. She had the mare of her dreams laying in her bed, the house was empty, and they were isolated from all others. The only thing A.J. could think of was jumping up onto the bed and making it up to R.D. for hitting her, but she was unsure as to how Rainbow would react to that.
"I have a confession to make", R.D. started to say, A.J. tilted her head to one side.
"And what's that?", A.J. asked. She felt a rush of anticipation build up inside her.
"Well...... It's about why I wanted to see you before anypony else.", Rainbow Dash wrapped a wing around to cover her face. A.J. reached out and moved the wing aside and looked R.D. in the eyes;
"I can handle it.", A.J. said with confidence as the suspense built inside her.
"Well....... I.... have feelings..... towards you..... that I haven't felt before.", R.D. started to look downwards with shame. A.J. reached out a hoof and lifted Rainbows face to hers.
"What kind of feelings?", Rainbow seemed surprised at how well her friend was taking the situation;
"Well, I'm not sure how exactly to explain it,", R.D. said, her face gradually getting redder and redder. "I feel like I belong with you, I never thought I would have this opportunity to express my feelings for you. I think I love you, Apple Jack.", and with that A.J. felt her face start to burn as the last word came out of R.D.'s mouth.
"I've felt the same way for a while now, you're all I've been able to think about, when I'm working, when I'm sleeping, no matter what I do, you're in my thoughts. The two mares stared into one another's eyes and were entrigued with what they saw. A.J. felt herself start to lean in towards Rainbow, their muzzles met in a long passionate kiss, A.J. worked her way up onto the bed and laid next to R.D., whom held A.J. in close as they fell asleep.
