Sombra's Turning

I was sitting in the library, (no surprise there.) when I stumbled upon this book of sorts. It was quite interesting. I have checked it out, therefore it’s now in my possession. The thing I find interesting is the spells in it. I am a crystal pony (If somepony is reading this.) therefore I am also an earth pony, which means I can’t do magic. Well except for my crystal growing abilities that every crystal pony has, but I digress. This is about the book, not me. The book had a spell, the one spell I've been searching for forever. A spell to give an earth pony a horn. The ability to do magic. The ONE thing I need in my life, the thing I thought I would never get, IS POSSIBLE. I’ll check back up tomorrow for an update. I hope Celestia will do it for me. I think she will, I’m her top student…

I’m in so much pain, but it was worth it. I have a horn now. I can do magic!! Well not yet but I will be able to. I WILL… The only side effect, it’s not exactly what one would call normal, and I’m afraid I will be shunned for it. The reason why is my horn granates from gray (the colour of my coat, if it was all gray it would be normal.) to red near the tip. I like it but it was a malfunction in the spell. Well at least I have a horn. I really should rest… I’ll check back with you later.

I’m back. Celestia brought me up a book. The same one in which I found the spell that landed me here, Canterlot Hospital. I have read it a little more thoroughly and it said that the horn which is given reflects what the receiver wishes to do with the power. I guess this is the reason why my horn is like it is… But, red resembles a lust for power. I, by no standard, want power. I don’t know what any of this means, but I WILL find out…

Hello again I’m back home. I was looking in that book. I didn't realize what type of book it was… It’s a dark magic book. If I had known this you can bet I wouldn't have done this. I wouldn't have even touched it, but- but now, I’m not so sure I feel better, stronger, more powerful…
