This is Octavia's point of view. the pointy of view will change every two chapters from now on.
Beyond the sea
Octavia woke up and yawned. she looked at the clock. It was one o-clock! She quickly got up and started changing for tonight was the night of the competition. She began taking a shower but took her time as she enjoyed the felling of hot water over her body. She rarely got this privilege and she was going to make the most out of it.
Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waiting for me
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing
Her alarm had turned on automatically to the one of the FM channels. luckily it was one of her favorite songs however.
Somewhere beyond the sea
She's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to her arms
I'd go sailing
She sighed happily. she loved the voice of Bobby Darin. He was her favorite jazz singer of all time. The way he put emotion into his work amazed her. even when he recorded this song it feels like he was actually singing this in front of his lover.
It's far beyond the stars
It's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
She was already to start mimicking the movements of ball dancing in the shower as she showered. She starts to imagine a girl yes girl dancing with her. Maybe a beautiful woman with light colored hair? Maybe red hair she always had a thing for red heads.
We'll meet beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing
She slowly came to a stop as she knew the song would end soon and began conditioning her hair. She had to take her time with this part if she expected to look presentable for tonight.
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet (I know we'll meet) beyond the shore
We'll kiss just as before
Happy we'll be beyond the sea
And never again I'll go sailing
She sang the last words of the song in sync as she had done ever since she first heard it.
No more sailing
So long sailing
Bye, bye sailing...
She finished her shower and hoped out. She began to clean herself off and started all the cosmetics and such. Tonight was special because tonight she would no longer be getting by on barley enough bits to afford a shitty apartment. Tonight she would blow he socks off of all the record label owners. She would win.
