A Weird New World

CRASH! BOOM! Lightning cracks and thunder rolls. I couldn't sleep with the storm right out my window. I decided to read a book or two after a while and finally, I dozed off.

I woke up to the smell of blueberry pancakes. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, and walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning, bedhead!", my brother, John, said. I think he was trying to insult me, but who cares? I quickly ate my food and played a game online called 'My Little Pony: Adventures in Ponyville'. I played with John for about 2 hours. John and I decided to go outside for a while.

"Can we go outside?", I asked.

"Okay, but don't go past the big hill.", Mom said with a serious look on her face. Me and John went outside.

"Wanna race to the top of the big hill?", he said with excitement in his eyes.

"Alright, but as mom said no further." I said reminding him. We went to the start of the woods and John counted down from three.

"Three...Two...One...GO!" He said getting a head start. It was like lightning struck me! I ran as fast as I could. It was like an episode of NASCAR me then John then me then John. Just then, I trip and fall over a tree stump apparently John didn't notice and kept on running.

I got up brushed myself off but something shiny caught the corner of my eye. It was a gold coin I picked it up and on it was the letters MLP written in fancy letters. I shoved the coin in my pocket and hurried to catch up with John but when I got to the top John was already there messing with some bugs.

"What took you so long?" John asked with a puzzled look on his face

"I tripped.", I said not mentioning the coin.

"Oh. I didn't notice.", John said. He was kind of embarrassed

"Eh, its alright.", I said. We both walked down together, and by the time we got back, mom was yelling for us to come inside.

"Dinnertime, kids Let's eat!", she called.

We sat down and starting eating our mashed potatoes,chicken,and corn. We were starving from forgetting about lunch. We all sat down as a family and began discussing our day's events.

"How was your day, Mom?", I ask her.

"Pretty good, I suppose. I finally got caught up with that Duck Dynasty show. I think it's a rather humorous show.", she rambles.

"I got promoted at work.", Dad said.

"Really? What's your position now?", John asks.

"I'm a Supervisor now.", he answers with the biggest smile I've seen on his face since John and I were kids and went on that trip to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. Good times.

"I'm glad to hear that everyone's day was good.",Mom said

"Wait we didn't get to hear about Hannah's day!", John said

"Nothing much happened today." I said, almost forgetting the coin. I open my mouth like I was about to say something but decided to keep the coin to myself and closed my jaw.

Me and John watched the Season 4 finale of ' My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' on the television. It was really cool. After that, we both brushed our teeth, got in our pajamas,and went to bed. I got my flashlight and examined the coin.

I took notes all I had was that the coin was either bronze or gold, and that it had the letters MLP on it. The letters were written in a large, flowing styled font of cursive writing that I've never seen before. I was so focused on the coin, I didn't notice John had slid into my room.

"BOO!", he said scaring the crap outta me.

"WHAT THE HELL?!", I squealed, cussing John out.

"Sorry, I was just trying to have a bit of fun like Pinkie Pie.", he said. I think he was trying to make me laugh but it didn't work.

"Well, it wasn't funny!",I said.

"Yeah, I figured it wasn't. It sounded funny in my mind, but when I played it out, it was like: 'Agh, shit. I didn't mean to scare her!'.", John explained.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. You know you just wanted to scare me. You got your wish, now go to bed, man! Damn!", I lecture.

"Alright, alright. Chill. Good night.", John retorts in a slightly annoyed tone.

'I am so glad he didn't notice the coin', I thought to myself.

As John was slowly walking out, probably mumbling the insult of the day, The coin slipped outta my hand and I laid my hand down, not noticing a red button on it. I accidentally pressed it and everything went white, and when I say white, I mean completely white! It was like a flashbang went off. I'm not sure where I'll wake up or when, I just don't think we're in North Carolina anymore.

When we could finally see halfway decently, I looked at John. John had a mane of a strange medium blue mane, with a muffin brown body. He had bright green eyes, and a guitar as a cutie mark. How the hell did he get a cutie mark? Are we in Equestria?! This cannot be possible. This is a dream.

I check my flank. 'SHIT, I'M A BLANK FLANK!', I thought.

"Agh, my head. I feel like I have two extra legs, and a hairy butt. What the hell happened?", John asked in a very dazed and confused tone of voice. I only hear him use this voice when he's doing homework. Man, that stuff's boring.

We begin to explore this new world.
