Principles.
Principles are the foundation of our morals, the foundation of our beliefs, rooted deep in our upbringing.
But we seldom ask ourselves 'Is this doing more harm than good? Is this helping or hurting somebody?' We often move forward with them blindly, and when we do, they stop being principles–and become prejudices.
Prejudices. Weighing us down, holding us back. But we still call them principles we still fight as if right is on our side.
Even if it isn't.
