The laws that were awaiting judgment. The numerous papers and treaties that needed to be signed. It never seemed to stop. Sighing, Celestia looked up and looked out the window, watching her subjects below. Knowing that her job wouldn't do itself she turned back to her work before something caught her eye. Looking over to edge of her desk she saw the bouquet that Discord have given her a week ago after the defeat of Tirek. Picking it up and bringing it over to her with her magic, she swirled it around. When Discord had given it to her no one seemed to blink an eye or even wonder why Discord had given Celestia a bouquet, normally seen as a romantic gesture. The bouquet brought back memories that Celestia had wished to forget. The pain and betrayal that had come from her past. The bouquet reminded her too much of the past she and Discord had shared. Letting herself look back at those memories, she left behind her work and went to the time she had been different, the time she looked at for a long time as her happiest moments. She had met Discord one day while walking through the forest. He was looking for his parents but he could not find them anywhere. Feeling pity for this odd pony, Celestia offered if he would like to come stay with her at the castle until he had got his bearings. he had agreed and soon he and Celestia had become friends. Discord had never really tried to befriend Luna and Luna never tried to befriend Discord. The pair began to prank the servants and the ponys who lived in the castle. They were always in trouble it seemed. It always seemed the Celestia was been scolded about how she had to mature because she would soon become a ruler. Celestia had never cared. Soon she a Discord began to have different feelings for each other. Their daytime strolls and pranks began to happen at night. On night Luna had followed them and under the moonlight sky she had seen her sister and ,as she referred to Discord as, the monster kissing. She had attacked the draqouiquis and demanded why they had been intimate. Celestia had responded with that they were in a romantic relationship which had caused Luna too become outraged and she had refused to talk to Celestia for months. Celestia had wanted to talk to her sister about it but Discord had told her that her sister would get over it. He had been right but Celestia had noticed a change in her lover. He was no longer as caring as he was before and their pranks become more malicious. Celestia had asked if he could stop putting others in danger with their fun but Discord got angry and had said he was doing nothing of the sort. Soon after Celestia came of age and she was too be crowned the Princess of Equestria. Her coronation day had been a huge celebration that had gone on for days. But each day Discord had seemed to grow farther and farther away from Celestia. After only a few days after coronation Discord had come and asked if she wanted to play pranks with him. She had refused due to the fact her presence was needed at the castle and that she could not do such childish things anymore. Discord had stormed out of the castle, with steam coming out of his ears in anger. Celestia thought nothing of it until a few hours later she received a report of a chaotic activity. She had left for the area at once only to find Discord there. She had demanded what he was doing. Discord had turned a town upside down and had changed the grass to a pattern of squares. He had said he had done it for her. But she replied that she did not like what he had done. This was when Discord cracked. he turned on her and said how she had changed ever since that crown had been placed on her head. He called her his enemy and said she would regret this one day. Celestia could still remember the words he had said before he left. "I think it's time for a little chaos in this place". It still sent shivers down her back. She had felt betrayed and battered down when she returned. She knew she would be force to fight the one she loved. Months later she fought Discord for the first time and failed. She had decided to bring her sister into the battle and after finding the elements of harmony she had defeated the one she loved. Turning him to stone. That was a long time ago and Celestia still wished to forget it. Deciding her work would not do itself she went back to her papers. But soon she head the sound of a pop and a familiar voice reached her ears. "Why hello Celly, I see your doing that boring paperwork. I don't see why you can't take a day off" "Discord, you know I must do my job which is an everyday occurrence" Celestia replied. "Ohh I see you respond to Celly, Celestia. Well your a wet blanket as always. I came by to ask if you would like to go visit Princess Twilight" Discord replied. "I have duties Discord. You and I both know this" Celestia said dryly. "Unfortunately. Really it's because of that crown and title we grew apart Celly" Discord said "Discord I would prefer if we kept those memories in our heads and past." Celestia said in a hostile voice. "Oh but we used to be so close Celly. We could be like that again" "Im sorry Discord but it can never be" "Well you can at least think about it. Why don't you visit me and we can talk over tea." "Discord.." "Tata for now" Discord said before disappearing out of the office. Sighing Celestia thought to herself. Could they truly be that close again. There was only one way to find out. Getting up Celestia left her office and headed out of the castle. Guessing Ponyville would be where he would be she set off. To see if he was right. There was only one was to find out, and truly she did deserve one day off.
