Rose stood in the midst of a desert, and upon the horizon sat, to her, which seemed to be countless airships, too small to count, but easily growing larger with each passing moment. She had in hand a decorative metal handle with magic vinyls that stung like fire where she gripped them. A weapon, essentially, but not in true form. Her wings, made of metal feathers, droop heavily. One small ship nears close enough for her to hear it, and begin makign otu those on deck. A god is in their midst, they are scared, and the god must be killed.
Wings spread wide, she begins forward at a sprint, leaps forward, and in the first wingbeat, is carried upwards towards the ship a fourth of the distance there. Cannons fire as she nears, and none miss, too slow firing to hit their mark. Another Wingbeat, and she is above the ship, looking down like avalkyrie mare ready to strike. A cannonball slams into her right wing, and she is sent sprialing to the ground with a disfigured limb, but instead grabs the ledge of the ship's deck ont he way down. The disfigured metal ing slowly reforms into a limb, then reshapes every missing feather as she lifts herself up, and as she does finally get on deck, gunfire pelts her like rain from this ship alone. Rose held an arm up against the gunfire, and spun the metal rod around, throwing a long, thin black blade out of the silver metal. She sprinted forth.
Every stallion and amre she passed was either gashed to bleed out, or cut in two, may it be a limb, right down the center, or midriff, they were all dying, and as the last gun eased off of her out of fear, she panted, movign heavily thanks to the added weight. Each round pushed through her coat, rolling onto the deck, easing her up as she turned to the captain on deck, set with a quad of crank guns. The Gunsmith, he was called. A notorious pirate for his use of four shoudler mounted crank guns in his plunderings. He saw mroe action than most captains.
As he let loose the barrage of bullets, Rose didn't even flinch, but the rounds pelted her like a sandstorm at full force. Her weapon, twisted in hand, retracted the blade, and threw out an extension of itself topped with an unfolding massive hammer head. She swung it up, both hands on it, and brought it down on the ship's deck, creating a rippled along the wood that shattered it all like glass, throwing splinters and wood everywhere is it caved in on the next floor. Rose lunged forward in one great step, spun around once, and brought that hammer head on the captain himself. He was a fat oaf with a alrge belly, but once he impacted that boiler's side, he was dead.
Cannonfire began to rock the Gunsmith's ship like an army were against a fortress door. Rose spread her wings, even as gunfire pelted her from the crew itself, and she took flight just as a heavy round pierced the shot down airship. It tore it compeltely in half, and came from a amssive flying fortress she recognized on the spot. Black emtal on everything, matchign the Lunar Captain's name nicely, and the massive cannon aboard reangled towards a spot directly on her fligth path. It fired, and she swung the hamemr out, impacting the massive shell. Teh result was a loud clang, and the shell fell, a mishapen heap of flattened metal. Like a bullet after impacting the side of something hard.
Cannonfire rang from below, and Rose closed her wings, throwing herself into a flip. She fell onto the next ship, hammer held out, and the impact bent the ship inwards on her, desptie what material lay below it. Seh lept from that ship, impacted the side fo the next, throwing it into the next three, flung herself over the side of that mess, and landed on deck, holding the hamemr in both hands. Every one of the crew watched her cautiously. Red outfits, robes, hoods drawn over their features, tehyw ere known as red assassins.
One got her from behind without sound or sight of him being taken in by the mare, stabbing a blade right through the left side of her skull. Seh retaliated by spinning around, hammer in hand, and knocked him right off the ship. That beign done, she grabbed the blade, and pulled it free, allowing her features to reform. Once they did, she brought the hammer up like she did for the gunsmith, and as she brought it down, it folded the ship like it did the secodn ship she impacted.
Movign on, she flew from the falling wreckage, hittign each ship she passed by side to side, carving a apth straight through the crowd of vessel towards that black ship. The Lunar Carrier, it was called. Adn she amde it. Hammer above, she brought it down on the black steel deck, but it did nothign but making a small pothole in the deck, and high caliber gunfire began pelting her. She raised a wing in defense, and a cannon was fired upon her, blowing her wing off, and tossing her over the side fo the ship. She plummeted like a stone, not even spiraling, and when she hit the ground, the Lunar Carrier's bomb bay doors flung open forcefully, letting loose a bomb just over her. Rose stood, facing it effortlessly, and dropped the hammer, holding her hands up. Despite being twice her siz in length and ten times as wide as her, she caught it, and with her magically inclined strength, flipped it around, drew her fist back, tossingt he bomb shell up. The bomb bay doors clamped shut jsut as she punched the rear of it, causing the bomb to hit the underside fo the ship. It rocked the ship, but that was it.
Grabbing the handle of her hammer, she spun it again, and the head unfolded, reshaping itself into a thinner head with an opening at one end. Her wing havign finally reformed, she took off, flapping her wings as hard as she could. Within a moment, she had left the collection of ships, destroyed and untouched. She flung her hammer downwards, crowched on the head, and let loose the magic held within. It fired off like a rocket, propellign her to a much further distance in less time. As she came to a halt, flaring her wings like an air brake, she turned towards the clouds above.
As she flew into the first clowd, she gripped it tightly, pullign a logn strand through the top, and turning the thick cloud into what could be called thread. Approaching the next lcoud, she shaped that one, then pulled it towards another, and shaped that one. Usign the thread cloud to tie them together and complete the design, she made the proper adjustments, then got behind the new shape. This was the Zeus Cannon, a massive collection of clouds given a purpose thanks to magic. She slammed the hammer into the back of it, and it bore out the barrel, refined and perfect. Thunder cracked like drumbs around her as the clouds gathered upon their manipulated brethren. Oen even struck Rose.
She pushed off the back of the Zeus Cannon, and flew off a good distance, gaining enough altitude before turnign abck to the cannon made fo clouds. Teh airships were nearing quickly, and they were no longer small toys, but full sized ships readying their cannons once more. The back end of her hammer blew otu a steady stream of air, climbing quickly, much like an air breathing jet, and the sides opened, allowing greater intake. As it climb, she swung it. Idly at first, though. As the ships neared the perfect distance, she grabebd it with both hands, and the turbine within howled like a demon, loud and powerful. She held it out, jet aimed backwards, and an explosion of it's force propelled her forward mcuh faster than she could fly. She spun with the hammer, close at first, then gripped the far end of the handle, holding the weapon otu as far as she could.
Impact.
The hammer head would have easily torn through even the hardest of emtals, shoudl she have hit something with such an element as it's siding, but this is a cloud, and as she impacted it, it didn't phase through, no. It hit hard, thats for sure, enough to shatter a diamond, even, yet it didn't make a sound, and the weapon didn't react.
The Cloudbrand, as the weapon was called, is a magic weapon. For ti to not make sound meant a totally different thing.
Teh opposite end fo the handle shto outwards, extending a rod that stuck out a good distance, enticing the thunder itself, and strike after strike, the rod, Rose, and then the cloudbrand were encased in heavy arcs of ligthning, growing thicker and thicker as the clouds added more and more to the barrage of lightning strikes. It's much liek watchign all the lightning strike onto one lcoation from across the span of all clouds.
The Lunar Carrier, as Rose saw, began turning away, along with every otehr ship. She ahd intimidated them, definitely, but she'd not let them go so easily. Teh Cloudbrand's Engine had been stopped abruptly by magic, but as she let that stopper go, the jet burst out like a golden light, propellign the hammer and every bti of those ligthning strikes into the barrel, but it didn't fire. Her hammer swung out, she cut the jet, and flipped backwards off the head of the cannon, flippign the hammer head down and then back up to impact the cannon's own hammer. Massive and bulky, the Zeus Cannon's hammer moved lazily, then impacted the chamber, firing off the round at an unbelievabel speed.
Inside, the roudn is jsut a magically held collectiong o flightning strikes, but otuside, it angles. It's a massive shell. And this shell had Rose at the front. She had gotten right in front o the Zeus cannon, and fired the Cloudbrand's engine as the roudn impacted it's innards, and the results could terrify any living thing, propelling Rose roward at ligthning speeds, smashign through ship after ship withotu losing momentum, power, charge, or force of any kind, right at the Lunar Carrier.
Seh stopped jsut at the edge fo the carrier, veil of lightning gone, unmoving, then reangled her weapon. Teh jet fired off, she spund multiple times, then impacted the deck of the ship. Lightning fired off tot eh sky and ground, exploding like the Lunar Obliterator had fired off in the middle of the day. Teh Lunar Carrier was torn int two, blown apart, and anything else surrounding ground zero was torn to shreds.
With the deed done, Rose hovered, hammer in both hands, panting. She had destroyed countless airships in a single move. If nothing could get her then, nothing can get her now.
As the story once went within "Gatlign Rain on a Steam filled Morn", the amin character was male, a pegasus, and a captain of a ship that had a shrot lived life. In the wreckage, he had inhaled enough gaseous magic to kill thousands of people, fallen several stories onto a boiler fileld with liquid magic (quickly turned gaseous), and then the magic was ignited around him. He gained the ability to use magic regularly, but was poisoned, sick, and dying.
Second attempt at the story, the main character became a musical mare who wanted her own ship. She joined the crew of a musical ship under an immortal mare's leadership, and the ship was shot down only minutes after she joined. Teh ship was torn in half by cannonfire, and she went down with the back half, falling countless stories onto a boiler at the back of the ship, fille with liquid magic, which when released, turned gaseous. The magic caught fire around her, and a bomb was dropped on the remains of the ship. She woke up, unscathed, and ehr wings were made of metal. She was immortal, had her wing blown apart, and it regrew perfectly.
Third attempt at the story was very similar to the second. I kept the main character's name, she was msucial, but it hasn't been shown yet, she was employed under an immortal captain mare (of which in all three stories was an indigo blue amre named Captain Yolosandra, A Cappella Blues, and finally A Cappella), which gave her the title of second in command in a reasonable way that made sense. the ship was then attacked by the explained vessel within this fight, the Lunar Carrier. Teh ship was destroyed, she fell ont eh boiler, liek last time, but passed out from the magic fumes before the magic caught fire. And in this version, when magic caught fire, it would first ignite every available amount of magic, then create a spread otu singularity that exploded very violently, turning sand into glass rain, and turning the ship into metal pellet rain.
In here, this was supposed to be Treble Rose after a long story of hardships and captaining, then losing everything once mroe. Having acheived immortal status through amgical means, she was to be given a magically fitting weapon, and supposed to obliterate a single ship, but that didn't exactly sound that cool. Here, she went rampant and demolished countless ships. It turned from a abtaalion fo ships to coutnless ships.
