Discord gets bored

It was a peaceful day in Equestria. The songs of birds rang through the air. Princess Celestia sat on her throne, enjoying the lovely sounds of spring time. She raised her tea cup with her magic and took a sip, letting out a content sigh, nothing could ruin this day!

Suddenly, the large doors to the throne room burst open. Discord stepped into the room dramatically. His large, masculine muscles were highlighted by his leather biker jacket. A royal guard rushed at him, spear ready to run him through. Discord simply smiled and waved his hand, sending the pony flying into the wall of the throne room with his powerful magic.

"Discord! What are you doing!?" Celestia demanded of him, standing from her throne.

He turned to face her, the light shining off his pitch black aviator sunglasses, "Come with me if you want to live," He commanded in a bad Austrian accent. He held out his eagle claw, beckoning for Celestia to approach him.

"What are you doing up there?" A voice rung out, pulling the god of chaos from his daydream.

"Lu-lu!" He exclaimed with glee, floating down from the ceiling where he'd been napping.

"Don't call me that," Luna glared at him.

"Aw, lighten up!" He said, laughing as he rose into the air.

"My sister was looking for you," She said bitterly before turning and walking off, annoyed with the draconequus.

Discord groaned and placed both feet on the ground. He was sure Celestia was going to have a long and incredibly boring talk with him about some equally boring matter. He snapped his fingers and disappeared in a bright flash, reappearing moments later in Celestia's throne room.

"Ah, there you are!" Celestia said, trotting down from her throne, "Listen up, Discord, this is important. We've been having troubles with..." Her voice trailed off in Discord's head as he lost interest in what she was saying. His mind began to wander, he began thinking of the good old days when he could go around, spreading chaos and not getting yelled at.

"Ah, those were the days," He thought to himself, "Why must Celly be so stuck up and boring all the time? She needs to loosen up and have some fun! Always nagging me about little things like making a water slide in the gardens, or turning a few guards into ducks and throwing bread at them. Speaking of bread, I could go for some bread right now. Maybe I should go snag some from the kitchen after this. I should remember to turn the oven off afterwards. Wait, did I leave my oven on? Oh wait, I don't have an oven. Silly me! You know, this castle is pretty boring looking. I should paint it nice and colorful! Wow, this is boring. I should go out and do stuff. Fun stuff. Yeah, that's it! I'll go on a quest!" He smiled to himself as he formed the plans in his head.

"DISCORD!" Celestia shouted at him, pulling him back to the conversation, "Are you even listening to me?"

"Not one bit!" He exclaimed, rising into the air, "I'd love to stay and chat, Celly, but I've got to go! Places to visit, ponies to see, lives to save! So I bid you adieu!" He bowed in mid air and vanished with a pop, leaving behind a bunch of confetti that fluttered to the ground.

Celestia sighed and turned around, returning to her throne, "I should warn Twilight before this gets out of hoof," She thought to herself. Levitating a piece of paper and a quill over, she began to write a letter.

"Ah, everything is perfect!" Twilight happily exclaimed as she stepped back and admired her work. She'd organized the new library in her castle perfectly, everything was where she wanted it, not even a bookmark was out of place. She was in such a great mood today, nothing could ruin this for her, nothing at all!

"Oh, get a new library, did we? I must say, it looks splendid!" A familiar voice came from behind her.

"Oh please, no..." She sighed, turning around to face her guest, "Hello, Discord."

Discord flew around the library, inspecting it, "Aw, what's the matter, Twilight? You don't sound very happy to see me."

"Don't touch that! What do you want?" She snapped at him, slapping his paw away from a book he had reached for.

"That's a very good question! You get a gold star!" He snapped his claw, a gold star sticker appearing on Twilight's forehead, "What I want is simple... I just want to help! And by the looks of it, this place definitely needs my help!"

"Discord, no!" She lunged at him, but it was too late. A bright flash filled the room, blinding her for a short while. After regaining her sight, she picked herself up off the floor and looked around, jaw hanging open. The whole place was a mess. Books were strewn everywhere, bookshelves were turned upside down, and all of her bookmarks had been turned into tiny origami figures of Discord.

"Well, no need to thank me! I'll be off now to help other ponies! Toodaloo!" Discord waved and vanished, leaving the purple princess alone with the mess.

"I... DIIIIIIIISCOOOOOORD!" Twilight screamed at the top of her lungs, causing everypony in Ponyville to turn and look at the castle. Birds flew out of trees at the sudden screaming that broke the otherwise calm atmosphere of the day.

The god of chaos chuckled to himself, flying high through the sky, "Ah, this is great! I'm off to have some good times! The world is my oyster! Not literally, of course. Though, I could arrange that..." He erupted into a mad laughing fit as he took off into the sunset.
