Fifteen years ago, Humanity had made first contact with the Kingdom of Equestria and its pony population. The two civilizations had peace, harmony and friendship with each other. This peace lasted for years.

However, tensions had arisen and grown over the last few years through acts of sabotage and spying from Humanity which had grown Xenophobic of their sentient neighbours. Eventually, after years of suspicion and distrust, the two Empires fell out with each other and so warfare followed.

Humanity being the most experienced at war had driven back the Equestrian borders and eventually captured Canterlot and Ponyville. Humanity thought they had won but a resistance was set up, and along with the Royal Equestrian Army, have liberated Canterlot. Ponyville is the last one to return to Celestia's rule and it's up to the Ponyville Resistance to do it.
