"Dammit I hate it when it rains." Was the Umbreons first thought. Celestias sun had just set when what seemed like gallons of water started pouring down on the Everfree. he groaned as his paw sank into a puddle of mud, then his other front paw hit itself on a
tree root, "Ah!" He fell forward, face plunging into a puddle of mud. He stood up cursing any and all mud. "Okay first thing to do is find
a cave or something.....cave......or...something."
He sat there looking around for ten minuets. "Alright aren't I s'posed to find a conveniently placed cave or something about an ursa minor under his breath. He got up and continued his miserable walk.

He woke up to find Celestias sun starting to rise, the storm had subsided. The Umbreon jumped up and stumbled to a tree to avoid
the suns bright rays. "Now what, how do I get to ponyville with this blasted sun in the way?"
He tapped his claw on the ground a few times. "I've got it!"
If one were to look In his directions (that is whatever pony was in the everfree)
They would have seen a bush......moving. "I've come up with ANOTHER brilliant plan to stay
out of the sunlight." He walked along for hours until finnaly Lunas moon rose into the star filled sky.
He burst out from the shrub. "Finally now to....." His ears shot upright as a faint sound coming from the distance
hit his ears. "What in the name of Arceus is that." He quickly walked twords the sound a faint glow appearing
on the trees. He climbed into a bush quietly and looked out the other side. What he saw shocked him,
there in a clearing were two earth ponies, the same ponies that had locked him in a cage so to sell him as a rare animal.
since the Umbreon didn't know their names, nor did he care, he just called them by his the thing
he hated most, mud, numbers one and two.
"We have to find that little rat or da boss is going to have out heads." Said a dark blue stallion his mane and tail
were a lighter hue of blue.
"Relax you pussy well find it." The Umbreon scowled at this voice, from a short black mare with a white mane, where her cutie mark
should have been was a large claw mark. He smiled at seeing the marks he had made. "Hope you enjoy your new cutie mark."
The mares ears shot up. "You hear that?"
The stallion bit into an apple "Nnope."
The mare swatted his head. "Shut up you moron." she turned to the bush and walked twords it.
With a quick motion she spread the branches apart to find...nothing. She huffed clearly irritated.
Then turned back to the stallion to find him laying on the ground eyes closed, shattered glass littered
the ground around his head. Where he was sitting now sat a small black creature.
"Nice partner." The Umbreon laughed at her, he made a mental note to buck her partners teeth out later.
"so mud number two..." Her eyes filled with rage.
"Don't call me that!"
"Oh don't like it hu? Well to bad im going to call you mud."
A smile formed on the mares face. "Then call me what you will, it wont matter when your dead!"
"Don't try to threaten me you mud puddle."
Her smile faded. "You will die for what you have done you rat!" The Umbreon stood and
scowled at her.
"My names Spectrum!" She smiled.
"You call me mud I call you rat." Spectrums eyes were glowing red with rage and hatred tword the mare.
"I'll die for what I've done!? what have I done!?" At this the mare smiled her plan was working perfectly.
She then pulled a long sword from off her back holding it in her mouth she stepped closer.
"You were born." she arced the sword intending it to cut into flesh. Spectrum sliced threw the air
with his claws, a loud ringing chimed out as steel met claw. They both jumped back staring at each other, the mare
struck first, lunging the sword at Spectrums chest only to have it swatted aside before she jumped back again.
over and over she tried this swinging vertically, horizontally, diagonally, and stabbing but all in vain. she swung
for what felt like the thousandth time.
"ENOUGH!" Spectrum shouted, he slashed his claws at her sword, it shattered to bits falling to the soft grass.
Spectrum looked at her. "Leave now and if I ever see you again I wont spare your life!" The mare started to back
away but she stopped and smiled at him. "Well, go!" Spectrum yelled.
"No your going." The mare said, as she pulled a pistol out from her mane, aimed it at Spectrums heart.
"Goodbye." She pulled the trigger.
