"Come on, Dusk, it'll be fun!"
Dusk cringed at his BBBFF's words. He didn't want to join in and bother Shining and friends during Ogres and Oubliettes. Sure it sounded like fun, and like he'd have a great time, but he just wasn't good with other ponies. His ears lowered and he looked up at his taller, older brother with a half-forced smile. "Sorry Shining...I just don't think I'd...I mean, I have a lot of studying to catch up on, and I'd rather get that all done for Princess Celestia as quickly as I can, so I can spend more time with you this summer."
Shining Armor sighed, then brought his brother into a small headlock and gave him a small noogie. "Come on Dusk, you work too hard, and this could be good for you! I bet even Celestia wouldn't be too hard on you if you shirked your work for just one night to play with me and my friends!"
With a small "Hey!" in protest as his mane got messed up by the large hoof, Dusk smiled and tried to get away. "Errgh!...But I need...to perfect...my teleporting!" he said. Dusk's horn flashed a brilliant purple, and he vanished, appearing in front of his brother. However, Dusk was off balance when he reappeared, and toppled over. "Whoa!" he shouted as he fell face first into the ground.
The older stallion started chuckling. He clapped his hooves together mockingly and said, "Perfect. Amazing. I think I'd give you a...Hmm. Maybe a B+."
Dusk gave a frustrated groan and lifted himself off, brushing the dust from his coat off with his hooves. "A B+ isn't good enough! I need to get an A+ if I want to get anywhere, you know that," he said with a snort and a frown towards his bigger brother. "I'm sorry, Shining. I just don't have time to play...Err. What was it again?"
Shining smirked and rubbed his hooves together, sitting on his hind quarters. "Ehehehe! It's a version of Ogres and Oubliettes that branches off from version three! It takes place in a future Equestria and has laser-technology and hacking! I've been waiting to play this for a while now!" He noticed his brother's stare and cleared his throat, gaining his composure. "...That's kind of why I wanted you to join. It's a new thing, we're going to take time to make new characters and everything. It'll be a nice chance for you to talk with someone other than...Well. Your brother, mother, father, and teacher for once. Wouldn't that be great?" he asked, with a smile.
Dusk always felt guilty when he refused his brother, especially when it came to wanting to spend more time with him, and most of all when he gave him that nice little smile. He sighed and lowered his head, letting his neatly recombed hair cover the top part of his eyes. "I'm sorry, BBBFF. I don't think I'll be able to do it." Shining gave him a sad look. "Next time! I promise. Please don't be mad," he quickly added.
Shining walked over and gave his little brother a hug, wrapping a hoof around his neck and pulling him close. "...Alright Dusk, I understand, but I'll hold you to it, okay? I do love you, and I do want to see you talk to people more."
Dusk just nodded and hugged his brother back for a full minute before Shining let go and walked out. On his way, he gave Dusk a smile and a small wave of his hoof; then he was gone to go play his game. Dusk went over to his bed, hopped on, and opened his 'Telelportation: The Basics' book that he was assigned, as well as his notebook, which was filled with the notes he had written for the assignment. Although the hug from his brother lessened his loneliness, he still felt bad about not playing with him.
The rest of the day went by quickly. Shining was going around, cleaning the den his friends used weekly to play O&O, while cradling a phone by his ear with magic. He sighed as he continued to pick up pieces of fallen chips from the floor, throw out cans of fruit punch, and put all of his game pieces, character sheets, and everything else away in a safe place. His brother didn't even peek in curiously like he used to, probably too busy with his spells. "I'm a little worried, Cadie," Shining continued into the phone, "He doesn't really seem interested in talking with others. It's really unhealthy and I don't know what to do."
"Shining, It's fine. I'm sure it's really nothing to worry about," Cadance replied.
"I know, Cadie, but still, I wanna help break him out of his shell a little bit, you know? What kind of brother would I be if I didn't?"
Although he couldn't see her, Shining could tell Cadance was frowning on the other end. "I think you've been an excellent brother to Dusk. What you two have makes me a little jealous. I wouldn't mind a little sister to look after, You know?"
Shining rolled his eyes. He tossed a can across the room into a small garbage can; perfect score! Ten points for the home team, he thought to himself. "You can always take him again. It'll get him out of the house," he mused. "But...Nah, I dunno. I think this kinda thing would be good for him. I'll just have to keep trying, I guess. I'm sure eventually he'll say yes."
Cadance chuckled softly while she lazed around on her couch, pegasus wings resting outstretched and a pillow covering her horn and face as she talked to her boyfriend over the phone. "Mwahaha. Gonna steal your little brother and keep him all to myself; none for you, nyeh!" she giggled as she stuck her tongue out, then quickly pulled it back in at the taste of the pillow. "Yeah, I think you should try to use a better approach, Shiny, you know he won't want to do anything if he isn't given a little push first." Cadance sighed softly and pressed her closed eyes against the pillow. "Think I'm gonna head to bed, Shiny. My head's hurting and it's been a long day. I'll talk to you later, at school, okay?" she said softly. "I love you my little Shiny whiny~."
Shining was about to throw another can into the trash, but then stopped and blushed at her little pet name for him. "...Hmph... I love you too Cadey doves," he said in a saccharine-sweet voice, before laughing along with her at their silly pet names for each other. After a few minutes of "No, you hang up first," Shining was done, both with cleaning and with talking to his sweetheart.
Shining levitated the phone to its base as he walked through the dark house, turning off the lights as his parents told him to before bed, and headed upstairs. His little brother's door came into view, slightly ajar, casting a beam of moonlight into the hall. He looked down the hallway to his room across the way. The Sparkle family house wasn't a mansion by any stretch of the imagination, but it was still pretty big, and hey, it was home. Shining took a quick peek into his brother's room, just to check up on him, before something caught his eyes and he widened them at what he saw.
Sitting there on the bed, shining by the moonlight, was his little brother. He was splayed out and wearing black and pink stockings. Ones that Shining was sure he saw in an underwear magazine that Cadie presented to him to choose from for his birthday quite a while ago. The same socks adorned all four of his brother's hooves, and a small pair of panties had been slipped up his tiny frame. What shining noticed most of all was his brother's socked hooves, stroking away gently at his own stallionhood.
"S...Such a pervert...Such a bad gir-ir-irl~." Dusk stuttered in a quiet, more feminine voice, as he stroked all along his member. He was panting heavily as he stroked faster, and harder, until he reached his peak, but then whimpered and stopped entirely, edging himself and teasing himself. Dusk whispered to himself seductively that he was a bad, bad girl for not getting an A, leaving Shining to drop his jaw in shock at the mock grades they'd joked about before...or perhaps he was roleplaying and fantasizing in his mind? Shining couldn't tell, just content to stare through the crack in the door, watching his brother edge and tease and play with himself.
Shining stood there in the crack of the doorway with a huge blush on his face, his stallionhood beginning to emerge from his loins as he gently wobbled in place. He couldn't believe his eyes, or his ears.
