Ventus is nothing more than a mercenary out for money. He's a greedy, conniving, bastard that would even turn on his friends for coin. He also comes highly recommended, assured to get the job done unless money says otherwise. At least, that's what everyone sees him as. They don't truly know what he has to go through… or what he would do when he has to.
