It was a normal day in Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle was testing some of the spells she was trying
to learn from her books, but she couldn't find anything interesting. She searched every book that
has spells in it, unfortunately she couldn't find any she wanted to try. After going through a few
books, she found a book with mysterious carvings as a title. It was black and very, very old.
"Something tells me I shouldn't read this. Nah, just my imagination running wild." She thought
and opened the book.
The context of the book were different from every book she had read. Instead of words there
were symbols, which showed her a picture in her mind's eye. She searched for a good time and
found a spell, which she found amazing. She decided to test it on somepony who could help her.
While in her thoughts, Applejack stepped inside the library. The orange mare walked right next to
her.
"Howdy, Twilight!" She said.
"Applejack! What's bring you here?" Twilight asked.
"Ah really have no idea. Ah just wanted to see ya after everything ah have done at Sweet Apple
Acres. Ah'm getting bored there."
"Well, you came at just the right time. You could help me test one spell I've learned."
"Sure, if it doesn't take too long."
"Great! You just stay there and I'll test it on you in no time." Twilight said, taking a few steps
away from her.
Her horn started to create sparks and cracking sounds. Then a beam came out from it and hit
Applejack. At first nothing seemed to happen. Applejack was too confused, but then saw how
Twilight was beginning to grow.
"T-twilight. Y-yar growing!" Applejack stuttered.
"No, it's you who are shrinking." Twilight corrected.
Applejack panicked, but it was true. In a moment she was the same size when she was
'Appletini'. She saw how really big a normal pony would be. Twilight's hoofs were the size of her
farm house. Applejack couldn't move her body, because the fear kept her standing there. Twilight
picked Applejack up with her magic to look closer.
"I can't believe it! It worked!" Twilight rejoiced.
"Uh, Twilight, can ya change me back to normal? Ah don't want to be a small anymore."
Applejack pleaded.
"Alright. I'll do it." Twilight smiled, placing her on the table as she started to search for the
counter-spell, only to find that this spell was missing one.
Wait. No spell? No way to grow Applejack back to her normal size?
"Oh no! Applejack! I don't know how to tell you this, but this book doesn't have the recover
spell!" Twilight panicked and Applejack's eyes opened wide.
"There's gotta be some sort of spell." Applejack yelled, but gave up. How could she or Twilight
ever find the spell from thousands of books?
"I know! I'll go ask Princess Celestia if she's got one. You wait here, I'll be right back." Twilight
said and shot off.
Applejack could only wait. There was nothing special for her to do today, so she decided to take
a nap.
The door of the library opened and a yellow pony peeked inside. Seeing nopony inside, she took
a closer look.
"Twilight? Are you here? I would love to talk to you, if that's okay." Fluttershy said.
She noticed she wasn't here, so she decided to wait there for her return. While waiting, she
explored everything that Twilight had. Searching the table she found an orange animal sleeping
on it. When it yawned Fluttershy gasped. It looked like Applejack. In fact, it was Applejack.
"Oh no. What happened to her? What's going on?" Fluttershy cried. She tried to calm down and,
eventually, managed to do so. But she couldn't just leave Applejack lying there.
"I'll take her with me. She will be safer there than here, where I can take good care of her."
Fluttershy decided. She took Applejack in her hooves and put her on her back. Then she stepped
out of the library and walked to her cottage.
Twilight Sparkle was now heading back to the library. She went to Canterlot to ask Celestia for
the book she sought, which she now had with her. After reaching the front door she noticed that
something wasn't right. The door was open. She went inside and, to her horror, Applejack was
gone. Like into thin air. Twilight began to panic.
"C'mon, Twilight! You must not panic. Who could have come here and taken her away?" She
thought.
"Rarity? Pinkie? Rainbow Dash? Fluttershy?" She repeated her ponyfriends' names.
The clock was ticking.
"It doesn't help just standing here, guessing. I must go!" Twilight said and decided to check
everypony's house to find her friend.
Applejack was starting to wake up. She yawned and stretched her hooves and looked around.
The house had changed a lot; instead having bookshelves full of books, there were animal cages
hanging from the ceiling. Applejack then understood the situation: Fluttershy had taken her to
her cottage.
As she was getting up, a gloomy shadow fell on her. Applejack gulped and turned around.
Fluttershy was standing there, the same height as Twilight. Although she was giant size to
Applejack, she had a gentle smile showing that there was no reason to fear her. She is the kindest
pony in Equestria, so how she could ever hurt somepony.
"Umm...I'm sorry Applejack, but I brought you here so you could be safer." Fluttershy said.
"Ya done a little mess right here, sugarcube, and that's not funny." Applejack shouted to her.
"Oh, I couldn't just leave you there. I wanted to help...a friend of mine. I couldn't leave you
alone and I couldn't wait so, I decided it's better this way." she said.
"Ah understand, sugarcube." Applejack muttered.
"Oh don't be gloomy like that." Fluttershy said as she picked Applejack up with her hooves and
hugged her. For Fluttershy, it was same as hugging her bunny, Angel. But Applejack felt it
differently. She felt like she was in the fluffiest place in Equestria. Even though Fluttershy's skin
was soft, it was softer now that she was tiny. It continued only for a few more seconds, then
Fluttershy broke it and stared at Applejack as she to her.
"Um, Fluttershy, if ya wouldn't mind, could ya hug me once more?" Applejack asked.
"Well, okay." Fluttershy replied and again hugged her against her waist. Applejack felt again that
warm feeling inside of her, which put her at ease and calmed her.
Twilight had raced through all the houses, but not Pinkie, not Rarity, nor Rainbow Dash had
Applejack. So the only place left to look was Fluttershy's cottage.
"Why didn't I check it first?" Twilight thought, since no other pony would want to take good
care of her. She ran as fast as she could on her hooves and got closer and closer to her
destination.
Meanwhile, Fluttershy was keeping Applejack company. They talked for a good time about the
things they did, they played some little games and prepared food together. Fluttershy smiled
down at her and Applejack returned it. Before long, Fluttershy was nuzzling Applejack on her
cheek.
"Oh, Applejack. You have been the best friend I had." She squeed.
"You too, sugarcube. You too."
"Just hang on a second, I'm going to get us something to eat." She said, placing Applejack on the
sofa and went upstairs.
Applejack was happy. She now had a friend to do anything they could imagine with. It was like
somepony's happy dream come true.
But even before Fluttershy could come down, the cottage's door opened and Twilight came in.
Applejack saw her and waved towards her, but she couldn't see her. Twilight was catching her
breath from running and looked for chair to take a seat. She saw the sofa and jumped on it,
bouncing a little. Applejack, on the other hand, found herself recovering from dizziness right
under Twilight. She tried to squeeze out, but got stuck and couldn't move. All she could do was
listen to the muffled voices.
"Here you go, AppleJaAAh!" Fluttershy screamed, when she saw the gasping Twilight on the
sofa.
"Huh...Fluttershy...Why did you...Take Applejack from the library to here? What's the point?"
She asked, breathing heavily.
"Umm, Twilight, could you-"
"No, Fluttershy! Answer me!" Twilight shouted at her.
"I...I just wanted her to be safe...Not alone in someplace like that." She answered.
"I see. But do you understand that you could have waited for me there? You didn't have to bring
her here."
"Yes, Twilight."
"And 'cause I know more about these things than either of you, you could have just brought her
to me." She finished.
"Yes, if that's how you want it."
"Good, so now we understand each other. Where's Applejack?"
"I've tried to tell you. She's underneath you!"
Twilight was shocked and jumped quickly off the sofa. There was a little orange mare, flattened
like a fly. Twilight used her magic to pick her up to face level.
"Applejack, are you alright?" Twilight asked.
She groaned a little and looked at Twilight.
"Yup. Ah'm fine. Just watch before ya sit." She replied.
"Wonderful, 'cause now I have the recovery spell with me. I can change you back to your normal
size." She said. She placed Applejack on the table and gathered her powers to cast the spell. This
time, her horn brought forth three spheres, which touched Applejack's body and vanished. Then,
she grew back to her normal size in seconds.
"Aawyeah!" Applejack shouted.
"Everything's back to normal. I'll go write a letter to the Princess. Would you two come with me
to provide every single detail?" Twilight asked.
Applejack nodded and Twilight went ahead. Fluttershy was silent for a long time.
"C'mon, sugarcube. Why are ya so quiet?" Applejack asked.
"I...I liked being with you, when you were at a small size. You were just like Angel to me." She
said.
"Aw, don't worry. Ya can pet me anytime ya want." Applejack managed cheered her up with
that.
Fluttershy gave her a huge hug and Applejack gave her one back. Then they ran after Twilight.
"As long as I'm with you, Applejack, I can really be with somepony." Fluttershy thought.
