Chapter 1- An unwanted guest.
It was a dark and stormy Nightmare Night , the perfect night for telling horror stories , eat candies and make Tricks !
Or rather , it was the perfect night for almost everyone .
In her Cottage , Fluttershy had closed every door and window, so that nothing dangerous could get inside.
Even if the most dangerous thing that could get inside was a big mosquito.
" don’t you forget something ? " said Discord, while floating above Fluttershy.
" No , I don’ t think , ” Fluttershy answered, wondering if she had forgotten something.
" Not even a certain party ? " Said Discord.
“ A party ? ” Fluttershy asked, when she suddenly gasped and said, " Oh no, Twilight Special Nightmare Night Party ! "
" Hallelujah ! " exclaimed Discord, making confetti appear out of nowhere, " And tell me, are you planning to stay here ? No, seriously, because it is a bit that I don’t go to a party of us beloved Princess Twilight. "
Fluttershy sighed and began to turn around, thinking and mumbling.
Shortly after, she sat down, looked at Discord, and said , " if you want, you can go"
" Will I remember you last year ? " Said Discord with very serious tone, " when you come to the library crying, soaking wet and cooled after the storm has turned off the lights in the house ? "
" Oh, right, " said Fluttershy disconsolate, "if only I had a way to call you, how does spike when it sends messages to Princess Celestia"
Discord sighed and began to think.
"So ," he said , " you need something that can contact me wherever I am. Possibly something small and manageable. Hmmm"
A few seconds passed in silence, punctuated only by the pouring rain and howling wind.
"AHA, EUREKA ! " exclaimed happy discord.
With a snap of his fingers, he materialized a small necklace with a blue diamond hanging.
"If you needed my help," he said, as he closed the necklace around the neck of Fluttershy, " think of me intensely and I will arrive here in a blink of an eye"
Fluttershy smiled, then stood up and hugged Discord.
"Thanks ," she said happily, " and say hello to the other !"
" Obviously , my dear, " Discord said happily.
Then , in a flash , he teleported.
Meanwhile, at the library ...
The others were just arriving and, punctually, they wondered where it was Fluttershy.
" perhaps remained at home, you know how it is " Twilight said.
" what a shame ," said Applejack.
"Oh no, now what ? Now that I had brought some delicious pastries with pumpkin ! " exclaimed wincing Rarity.
"Ah , don’t worry , " said Discord , " I will eat someone for her".
"Oh , Discord , " said Twilight cheerfully , " I'm happy that you were able to come , but ..."
" Where's Fluttershy ? " Asked Rainbow Dash.
"Oh , well , you know how , " Discord said with his usual tone, " storm , a moonless night , the fact that it is Nightmare night ... "
" ugh , okay , we get it " said again Rainbow Dash .
" I don’t ," said Pinkie Pie, " I missed at " moonless night " , could you repeat everything ? "
There was a moment of silence .
"uh , we' ll talk later , okay ? " said ironically Discord .
And so they began to party!
They went on to dance, to tell horror stories and also read some stories too .
Until ...
" Hey , what have you to your hoof ? " Asked Applejack while pointing Discord’s hoof , who continued to beat on the floor .
"Oh , oh , it's like my twitchy tail ? ” Pinkie Pie asked anxiously.
“ Actually , ” said Discord , “ it is rather difficult to explain the " why " , let's just say that Fluttershy is calling me”
The hoof continued to beat harder and harder, so he begin to break the floor .
" Oh , damn , " Discord said worriedly , " I'd better go now , it looks she is pretty worried . "
So saying , discord re - snapped his fingers and disappeared .
The 5 , meanwhile , wondered why Fluttershy could be so nervous.
Rainbow Dash suggested that it could be for the same event the year before , while Rarity said that maybe it was something serious ... this time.
While the 5 spoke , spike came down from upstairs with a letter in his hand.
It was signed with a " D " .
Twilight took it , and began to read :
" Twilight ,
We have a small problem from Fluttershy , you may ONLY come you?
Discord. “
" It must be serious , " said Rarity " Discord wrote something seriously ! "
The other four looked at her with a scornful look .
" All right , girls ," said Twilight , " I see what the problem is and come back immediately "
And in an instant , Twilight teleported to the cottage .
" Oh , thank Celestia you came , " Discord said with a strange worried tone .
" What is it , where Fluttershy ? " Twilight asked .
Discord brought twilight to Fluttershy room and recommended she to not worry or get nervous..
With all this tension , twilight was already preparing for the worst .
Arrived in front of Fluttershy’ s room , Discord knocked on the door and said that there was twilight .
Fluttershy came out , he looked exhausted, trembling and his eyes were full of tears .
" Twilight ," she said sobbing , " Please , you must help me ! "
" Fluttershy , what happens ? " asked worried Twilight .
Fluttershy hesitated and glanced at Discord .
" P - please , Twilight ," he began to say Fluttershy , " don’t get mad , he ... he is not like the others , I - I'm sure ! "
" What are you talking about ? " Twilight asked in a tone somewhat grim .
Fluttershy left twilight enter in the room.
She stopped when she saw what was in the bed .
It was one of them.
" Fluttershy , " twilight said with a shocked tone , " You know what is that ... thing ? "
Fluttershy not answer.
"Do you remember what they did to my brother ? "
For a few seconds , Fluttershy stood in silence.
" I'm sorry " She said.
Twilight sighed and , still shaken , she replied " okay , I’ll heal him , but I want to know every detail of why you brought a changeling in your house "
Chapter 2 - dealing with the problem ( pt. 1 )
Fluttershy was resting on the couch, while she was comforted by Discord next .
The young Pegasus was tired and worried about the changeling, and how Twilight would react once left the room .
" You'll see that everything will be fine ," said Discord . " And then , Twilight will be anything but angry ."
After saying this, Twilight left the room, with a grim look and with a very tense mood .
" Damn me and my mouth ." Said softly Discord .
Twilight came down the stairs, then she took a chair and sat down in front of Fluttershy, watching her .
There was a long silence, and only the sound of pouring rain could be heard.
" Why ?" Said Twilight, sounding very irritated. " Why you saved one of those ... monsters ?"
Fluttershy was silent, looking at the floor and clutching at Discord .
" Answer me, for Solaris damnation ." Twilight said again, sounding more and more angry.
" Twilight, it's a long story ." Fluttershy said, tired and sleepy, without looking at her friend's eyes. " If you want ... I'll tell you tomorrow ."
Twilight sighed and fell silent again .
"I'll be here at one o'clock in the afternoon , Fluttershy. " Twilight said, calmer now. "I hope you can tell me everything, without neglecting the details ."
So after getting up from the chair, Twilight teleported herself away .
Fluttershy, now exhausted, fell asleep on the couch, leaning against Discord .
Next day ...
Fluttershy had already woken up by a half hour, and had prepared a nice breakfast for his " guest ".
After putting the groceries on a tray and went upstairs, she opened the door and saw the changeling appeared at the window, watching the forest with wide eyes .
" Hey, uh ... hello !" Fluttershy said at the changeling, scaring the latter, who turned to the pegasus, by blowing against.
Obviously, it was still too weak and having a broken leg, was not a big threat.
"Uh ... I've prepared something to eat ." she said, smiling while leaning.
The changeling walked hunched and limping, then he sniffed the food on the tray ... and make she understood that it wasn't to his liking.
Then, he went away again.
Fluttershy came out, telling the changeling that she would leave the door open in case he wanted to take a walk to the house.
Once back downstairs, she began to take care of his animals, which were slightly disturbed by the strange creature with pirced legs .
With her usual tone, the young pegasus reassured the little animals.
At the library ...
Spike Twilight was helping to draft a letter to Princess Celestia.
"Ok, Spike, ready to write ?" Asked Twilight.
"Sure ," replied the young dragon. "Like the previous eighty-seven times ." He said in the end.
After she cleared her throat, Twilight began to dictate a letter, informing Celestia the events of the night before.
Spike, once finished, started to blow his magical fire, but was stopped by Twilight.
"What is it this time ?" Spike asked irritably .
"... I will not send it ." Twilight said thoughtfully. "Not now, at least ."
Spike asked why, and Twilight explained that she wanted to understand why Fluttershy had saved one of the enemies of Equestria.
So, Spike put the letter aside, while Twilight kept thinking, going back and forth.
Later, at the cottage ...
Fluttershy was trying to convince the changeling to leave the room, so as to become familiar with the environment, but there was no way to make it move from there.
So, she decided to seek help from Discord and the latter tried to get it out with a few tricks.
Even those did not work.
Thus, the spirit of chaos decided that desperate times call for desperate measures .
Once he entered the room, he approached the changeling, while the latter was blowing and was looking for a way out, but ended up being with his back to the wall .
So, Discord was able to pick him up ... with difficulty, since the changeling kept kicking.
However, in one way or another, the two have managed to bring their guest downstairs.
"Ok, now ... what ?" Asked Discord to Fluttershy.
"Well, it is simple, now ... uh ... " Fluttershy, unfortunately, did not know what to get him to do.
He was visibly tense and disoriented, and certainly would have done something stupid, if someone came for a visit .
Which, unfortunately, happened .
" Fluttershy, It's me, Twilight ." Said the young princess from outside .
"Twilight ! " said Fluttershy. " Discord, you have to ... bring him upstairs !"
Discord was petrified, and looked Fluttershy with an incredulous look. After a few seconds, he managed to bring the changeling upstairs .
Fluttershy opened the door to Twilight .
The latter came in with a big pout on her face, annoyed by ... well, you know what.
"Uh ... you can just sit on the sofa ... if you want ." Fluttershy said softly.
After accommodated on the sofa, Twilight said to Fluttershy to sit down and tell the events of last night.
To tell every little, little thing.
The night before ...
"Thanks ," she said cheerfully. " And say hello to the other !"
"Of course, my dear, " said cheerfully Discord.
Then, in a flash, he teleported.
Left alone in his cottage, Fluttershy decided to prepare a good hot tea and read a good book, just to pass the time.
Not twenty minutes later, she heard a thump on the door, and weren't for sure young foals that were trick or treating.
However, the young pegasus refrained himself, and went to the door, as she heard the verses come from outside.
Once arrived at the door, she felt that the verses were not of ponies or any animal that she knew .
So she opened the door slightly, and saw the changeling ground .
Frightened, closed it, but then listened better verses .
It was a cry of pain .
After reopening the door (and giving a closer look ), she noticed that the changeling wasn't very big, indeed, was smaller than the ones she had met during Chrysalis attack .
It seemed hurt. And a lot .
" Oh Celestia, what shall I do ? " asked Fluttershy, torn between knowing that, if she had helped it, she would go into trouble, but if she didn't, she would left to die a helpless creature .
After thinking a moment, the decision was clear .
After she dragged him into the house, Fluttershy saw much more clearly the gravity of the wounds .
The changeling had a broken left leg, a deep wound on his chest and a broken wing .
He also had something similar to a tooth, planted in the other leg.
Without thinking twice, she called Discord, who teleported himself almost immediately.
Fluttershy rushed from Discord, telling him to cure the Changeling.
But the spirit of chaos replied that " fix something is not my job " and that he would complicate things .
So, Discord wrote a letter to Twilight, to make her come alone.
" You know the rest ." Fluttershy said, a little forlorn.
Twilight, however, was still very skeptical about the changeling. As wounded and, at the time, harmless, he could prove to be a threat as he recovered.
" Twilight ! " cried the voice of a well-known young dragon, out of the cottage . " I got a letter from Princess Celestia ."
Twilight opened at Spike, took the letter and began to read.
"Dear Twilight,
This morning was spotted a small group of changelings, who was ... violently stopped by a group of changeling's hunters who were on their trail .
Please come to the castle to know them, and also bring your friends.
With affection, Princess Celestia. "
"... Damn myself ." said Twilight , knowing she could not leave the changeling unattended.
