Braeburn had been with Little Strongheart for 5 weeks when they broke up suddenly. It had broken Braeburn, not just in regards to his heart, but also his will. The day after, he decides that Appleloosa had too many bad memories associated with it, and goes to the nearest recruiting station, determined to leave all of that behind.

Only problem is, there's a war going on.
