Applejack had watched the train pull out of the station. The rest of the Apple family was making a week-long visit to Appaloosa. Applejack had volunteered to stay behind and run Sweet Apple Acres, seeing as how she'd been there before, with her friends. She didn't know how she was going to get it all done, all the bucking, the baking, the selling. But, she was a tough, resilient pony, and she'd find a way.
It was the second day that the Apple family was gone. Applejack was frantic. She was falling behind, in everything. She stopped in the middle of her orchard and sighed. She needed help. But who would help her? She immediately thought of her friends.
Fluttershy? No, she was too timid, and not strong enough. Pinkie Pie? No, she would be too much of a distraction. Rarity? Hah, good one. Rarity, do physical labor? Rainbow Dash was strong enough, but the effort needed to convince her to help for a whole week was just too daunting. Twilight? Yeah, she would probably help. She might be more of a nerdy book-y kinda girl, but she always seemed ready to lend a hoof. That magic o' hers would definitely speed things up, and might even push them ahead of schedule!
That's it then. Applejack thought. I'll ask Twilight.
" Of course I'll help you out Applejack! Anything for a friend, " Twilight said. She smiled. She had a nice smile.
" Why, thank you kindly darlin', " Replied Applejack, " Your magic will certainly speed things up around the farm. Now let's get goin'! We ain't got time to dilly dally! "
They had just arrived at the farm.
" Let's get the first load of apples we need for tonight's bakin'. We should need about...a thousand apples. I'm pretty far behind, " Applejack explained. Twilight nodded in response as her horn flared. They got to work.
Applejack kicked tree after tree, while Twilight used her magic to pick apples. After two hours in the sun, and around half the apples they needed, they decided to take a break. They were sweaty all over, almost soaked, and they were panting hard. It was one of the hottest days on record.
Applejack glanced over toward Twilight, who had just set down her last bushel of apples. Her multi-colored mane was plastered to her skin, and sweat dripped off of her. Her eyes were half-closed in exhaustion as she looked over to Applejack. Applejack felt a stirring in her belly. Twilight almost looked...seductive.
Whoa, hold on a second... Did Applejack really feel like this? That she liked...other mares? She thought. Ah mean, I'm guessin' it's possible. I never did take a likin' to the stallions of Ponyville, or anywhere else for that matter. She looked at Twilight again, felt her stomach do a backflip, and spoke.
" Why don't we take a break, eh? A picnic and a trip to the lake? Sound good? " Asked Applejack.
" Sounds...good, " Replied Twilight.
" Good, 'cause I already packed the picnic basket. "
It was only a short walk to the lake. Applejack laid out their blanket, and set out the food. Twilight waited for Applejack to finish setting up their food, and they trotted to the lake together. On the count of three, they jumped in. The water was a million quick slashes of ice on their skin. It felt amazing in the mid-day heat.
They drank their fill of the pure lake water. Their insides cooled off, they felt much better. They surfaced, Twilight just a few seconds behind Applejack. It was enough time for Applejack to watch as the sparkling water splashed up and caught the sunlight. A light rainbow hovered just above Twilight's head. Water slid down her face, Applejack noticing a drop that slid slowly, almost too slowly, down Twilight's lip.
" Applejack, this might be the best picnic I've ever been on! " Twilight exclaimed. She voiced her happiness through a crystal-cut laugh, sharp, yet delicate. Applejack was falling more and more for Twilight.
" I'm glad yer enjoyin' yerself. I'm having fun too. Say, once we get those apples picked, you wanna have a sleep over? We gotta bake the apples anyway, and it would just be a waste of time for you to walk home and back again. " Applejack explained.
" Sure thing Applejack! Sounds like a lot of fun, " Said Twilight.
Applejack's mind was completely on Twilight the whole day. She hardly noticed when Twilight shook her shoulder and announced they were done. Applejack sighed in relief. It was only sunset. She usually wasn't done till much later. The two friends headed into the house to start baking.
" You know Twilight, I made a mistake, " Said Applejack as she looked at a schedule that Granny Smith had written, " Ah thought we would have to stay up all night baking all sortsa things, but all Granny has planned for these apples is to sell 'em plain! I'm sorry I made you work so hard... "
" Oh Applejack, it's perfectly okay. These apples should last you till your family gets back. You might even have extra! " Said Twilight.
" You know Twilight, you might be right. Would you like to make an apple pie, as a reward for workin' so darn hard? " Asked Applejack.
" That'd be great! Let's get baking! " Exclaimed Twilight.
Three minutes later, they were covered in flour as they made dough, filling, and a topping for their pie. They put their uncooked pie into Granny Smith's old-fashioned wooden stove. Applejack set a timer.
" Should be done in about forty minutes. Let's go cleaned up. " Said Applejack.
The two headed back to the lake, where they dove into the freezing water, only long enough to wash off any lingering sweat and flour. As they exited the lake, the wind picked up and howled and whistled. They were freezing!
They made a mad dash back into the house. It was warmer, but just barely. Applejack checked the timer, then said to Twilight, " Hey, we got about twenty minutes left, how about I show you my room? "
" Sure thing! "
They went up the stairs and entered Applejack's room. It was a plain room. There was a window, a bed with red plaid blankets and pillows, and a bookshelf. The bookshelf was covered in pictures rather than filled with books. This was where Applejack would make her move. These feelings, butterflies, heat flashes, and stomach backflips, had gone on long enough.
Applejack tossed Twilight a towel. As Twilight was towel-drying her head and mane, Applejack grabbed her lasso. She quickly tossed the rope around Twilight's legs, and had her trussed up like a hog.
" Applejack what are you do- " Twilight said, as Applejack leaned toward her and inhaled.
" Twilight, you smell so good. " Said Applejack. She inhaled again, smelling Twilight's sweat, the flour, and a hint of apples. Maybe the apple smell came from the house or orchard, but with Twilight, it was just as intoxicating. She longed to taste her.
Finally, she could hold out no more. She said to Twilight, " Twilight, I know this might be hard to understand, but... I have feelings for you, and they won't go away. I need this. "
Twilight was shocked. Too shocked for words. Her mind was going ten thousand miles a minute, yet it was going incredibly slow at the same time. Then, Applejack closed her eyes, and brushed her lips across Twilight's.
The feeling was incredible. For such a tough country gal, her lips were incredibly smooth, and her breath smelled of apples, which wasn't a bad thing. Twilight wasn't sure if she liked it. Then, Applejack moved on.
Applejack slowly pushed her tongue into Twilight's, swirling it in pleasure. A tingle ran down Applejack's spine and belly, causing her to quiver. Her mind wasn't on Twilight at the moment, only her desire for touch.
Applejack moved her tongue from Twilight's mouth to her neck, but only for a little while. She moved it further south, to where nopony had been before. Twilight's breathing got heavy and labored. Just as Applejack was going to lose all self control, the timer rang, breaking her out of her trance.
Applejack chuckled, " Just let me get that out of the oven. " She trotted to the kitchen to retrieve the pie.
Twilight was frantic. She didn't know what to do. It was her first time, and with Applejack to boot. Oh Celestia, what should she do? It felt nice, she supposed. But still...
Applejack returned, with a look of lust in her eyes. She was sure she had Twilight hooked. She untied her, slowly. Twilight didn't move.
She spoke as she opened Twilight's legs and the prize that lay therein, " Twilight, the pie looks amazing. It just looks so hot, and I took a little taste. It tasted wonderful. "
She dove for Twilight's nether region. She began lapping away.
Twilight thought, I don't want this! I don't! I don't.... Slowly, with Applejack lapping away at her, lust settled into her, mind and body. Pleasure finally hit her. Oh my! I don't... I don't want this...I don't want this to end!
Twilight ran her hooves through her new lover's mane and tossed her hat to the floor and undid her hair band. The soft, yellow hair brushed Twilight's thighs, tickling her, making her squirm away.
" Oh no you don't. Get back here! " Exclaimed Applejack. She pounced, and soon was dominating Twilight. She had her front legs pinned. " Yer gonna get it now. " She threatened. She turned Twilight over. She inspected Twilight's flank. Such a nice flank... She rubbed Twilight's cutie mark, making her moan. Suddenly, she smacked it and bit it as she covered Twilight's mouth with her hoof. She felt the scream reverberate throughout her hand, and it traveled to her loins.
She pushed Twilight's flank into the air and began lapping away again. Twilight was in heaven at this point. She discovered she liked being submissive. She'd let Applejack do anything to her now. Twilight slowly rubbed Applejack all over. Her neck, arms, legs, belly, back. All with the tenderness and softness of a cloud. She gave Applejack the lightest of kisses and nuzzles before she moved her tongue to her neck. She lapped slowly, and sucked just under Applejack's jaw. Applejack moaned. Is this what Twilight had been through?
Twilight went down on her friend. She licked, lapped, and probed, but with gentleness and care. Applejack's pleasure built and built. Twilight thought, Applejack really does taste like apples.
Twilight finished her licking. She moved, and soon their legs were intertwined. Twilight began to move up and down, grinding her lower lips against Applejack's. Her lover was in complete ecstasy.
Faster. Faster. Faster! Twilight was soon moving, just to move. She knew her partner was close. She could feel it, her own loins pulsing. Twilight gave one last grind, and Applejack cried out. She had drenched the bed, and Twilight's legs, even more than they already were.

Both mares drifted off to sleep in each other's embrace, only to dream and reenact everything that had just happened. Where this would lead, neither knew. But, it didn't matter. They were in love, and from now on, inseparable.
