Chapters Prologue-Frozen Blue Rose
The pain of time goes on and on, why is this, all because of a stupid curse.
Even I lost track of when that happened.
I was trying to save my friend, Josh, from a witch.
Instead of Josh being sacrificed and this curse placed on him, I offered myself to the witch.
She tied me to the center support of her ran down shack as he was forced to watch.
She slit my wrists as I felt my own warm blood gush down my palms as she spoke, "Willing servant, now immortal, Let the fire take you, become you," She walked around me poring a liquid on me, "Exchange my mortality, Bring his beastly end, A firry one, and destroy everything!!!!!!!!" She then lit some straw on fire and set me on fire with the straw.
My friend escaped yet neither the which nor myself escaped the burning hut.
One thousand years ago.
I silently trudged through the deep snow. I had gotten word of another cursed one in the area.
"Walker you there," I said over the current top-of-the-line communicator he had given me.
"*static* Out *static* back at bace *static* NOW," He screamed as the Cold tundra kept cooling me off keeping me from accessing most of my power as well as blocking off communicatior.
"Why, Walker tell me whats going on!!" I yelled knowing even though I couldn't die Walker is just a mortal with no power except for his bravery, often times forgetting his own mortality.
I listened to the communicator but all I could hear was the sound of the cold static.
I must find the cursed one and convince whoever he or she is too help build the new Cyber corp.
I eventually found myself exhausted, a rare feeling for me, yet knowing I couldn't die I lied down in the snow to catch my breath, yet something didn't feel right. I truly felt cold as my eyes closed.
I guess my condition looked bad because I found myself in a darkened cave when I awoke.
I Blinked a few times to allow my cursed thermal vision to kick in.
Looking around the cave I saw not only there being no heat source but a girl, dressed in a black hooded leather jacket over a her white heavy cloths, curled up in a ball, shivering, somehow colder then the walls of the cave.
"Are you alright," I asked.
The girl got up She seemed about my body's age appearance with snow white hair that seemed to be frozen.
"You shouldn't be alive after what you went through," She said, her voice though seemed to be coated with fear and depression though, yet even her voice was shaking, "how are you still alive?"
"Same way as you I guess," I said trying to throw her off.
If she really is cursed why is she here, I thought.
"You are nothing like me!!!" she yelled.
I could feel the room get colder.
"I have seen people die in this blizzard!! It never stops, It only gets worse," She continued yet I could tell this was not anger.
"I know how you feel," I said catching her off guard, "I have seen many people die in my life. Even when I try my hardest to save them."
I seem to have gotten through to her and the cave started to warm up a bit.
"Even when it was inevitable, they all told me to keep going," I said giving a small smile, "And that is what I've done all my life."
"But how do you, a mortal, live knowing your death is inevitable," She said the room cooling off again.
"How about I get the pleasure of knowing your name before my demise," I said trying to keep her happy.
"If you must know my name, it's Alexia," she said smiling.
"They call me Temp," I said taking off my light jacket and placing it over her, "Now how about we get out of this blizzard and back to my friends base camp, You might find it better living outside this cave then where you are now."
"You might be right," Alexia started, "But the blizzard will kill you."
"I think not," I said igniting a ball of fire above my hand, "Fire will always burn as long as there is fuel."
We were able to navigate the blizzard after it seemed to lighten up and were able to find my teams small base camp.
We approached the camp and I saw Maxwell Walker riding through the snow on a snowmobile fitted with a jet engine as well as it's standard motor.
"I thought you died in that blizzard you fiery dog," Maxwell said getting off the snowmobile.
"You should know your the only person that could die out here Maxwell," I said.
"Who is this?" Alexia said slightly confused.
"This is Maxwell Walker, he is the one that is leading all of us for a better future," I said, "Walker this is Alexia."
Five years later.
Alexia seemed to take a liking to her powers and decided to take a new name for herself, Krio. When I asked her why she simply said it was a greek word for cold.
We walked around Cyber corp. looking for anyone that needed help working on the building.
"You think we would have found more like us by now," I said looking in one of the resting chambers.
"I've been meaning to ask this, but how far back do you and Walker go?" Krio asked.
"Fifteen years now, yet he was a inspirational man even before we met."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"What was that," we said a bit startled as we ran in the direction of the scream.
We ran straight to the source of the scream which happened to be in Maxwell's quarters.
"Walker!!" I yelled as I kicked down the door only to find there were two of them, the only difference was one had a white aura around him and the other had a black aura around him.
The Walker in the black aura seemed to be erasing the other from existence.
"This power... all this power.... It's exhilarating," Walker said as the black aura around him faded.
"What have you done to Walker imposter!!" I yelled making sure Krio was behind me if he tried that again.
"Now Prince Phyro Why you know me..... Wait just a," He paused for a moment, "Appears he couldn't make it after all."
"I will ask once again, What have you done to walker," I yelled once again.
"You are persistent aren't you. apparently all the negative's have the similar personalities," He said floating on his back, "Hey Cerberus. Kill."
That moment a beast dog with three heads smashed through the back wall and let out a terrifying mechanical roar.
"Get out of here, RUN!!!!!" I yelled at Krio but found that the security door had been sealed shut.
"I'm afraid you won't have any running away from this," He said flying by me grabbing me throwing me agents the wall then turning his attention to Krio.
"Kiro Get out of here," I screamed again, "This is no normal cursed one."
He stabbed her through her heart, this action wouldn't kill a cursed immortal like us but this was different, as he pulled her still beating heart out she started to fade from existence.
"Kiro!!!" I yelled running to her.
"L-li-ive on, L-like y-you a-always did," she said before leaving two things here that didn't fade away, A frozen blue rose and her jacket.
"Well, that was fun, Lets try killing you now!" he said with a smile that could scare a madman.
He went to rip out my heart but was blown back by a wall of fire that melted out a few other floors sliding them out of place.
I looked him in the eye as his smile faded turning into a look of fear. "This wasn't suppose to happen!!!!" He yelled.
Dropping down the uncompleted side of cyber corp. I put on kiro's jacket and picked up the rose before diapering into the croud of people forming around the section of the fallen building.
Present day.
I screamed in agony as the fire slowly burned me as Cyber corp. patrol agents watched and recorded every second.
As the agents looked at my charred corps they did not expect me to rise.
"Shit man, He's a zombie," One of them yelled mounting his assault rifle and opening fire on me the rest of them following his lead and opening fire.
Each bullet melted and molded into my reforming flesh.
I walked forward opening my new eyes which changed from an ocean blue to a firry red.
Two of the group started to run but they couldn't run two steps before being talked and killed by two hell hounds.
The leader looked at me and said in a shaky voice, "You're a demon."
I decided to humor him, "Your personal demon," I said as my black pants ,shirt, and hooded lether jacket started to form over my skinless flesh, "So run," I said as the hell hounds disappeared.
The all got in there vehicles and started to drive off, yet when the last car left all of the mafias vehicles caught fire.
I left the sight of my burning to go to the tavern of the Rising Phoenix.
Approaching the Rising Phoenix tavern two guys ran out of the tavern and they looked tike they have been to hell and back not caring that they ran into me they just continued running.
I approached the door and the door slit opened.
"Password," the voice said.
I snapped my fingers lighting my thumb on fire and quickly extinguishing it.
"Welcome back Temp, Kay and Zeak are waiting for you in the library." I said walking in and seeing that the guard was new.
"First day?" I asked taking off my coat and putting it on the empty coat rack.
"No sir," he said, "Today will end my first week."
I nodded my head, "Most new guys quit in that time," I started to walk towards the underground library, "You might want to start combat training for the right to stay."
Opening the door I was immanently wrapped in paper cooling my body temperature before releasing.
"Kay- I know I can burn books by touching them, "I started, But you don't have to attempt to suffocate me every time I enter."
"It's not that," She said walking into my sight, "Cyber corp.'s Cyber Cerberus is on the prowl looking for you again."
Yet another two things that are trying to kill me, yet this one is the newest.
This mechanical Hound that was founded by Cyber corp. had four three bodies that merged into it's primary form.
Yet only one model of this was able to sustain it's self and evolve.
Cyber Cerberus V6.5 beta.
For the past 1000 years the Cyber corp. has been trying to retrieve 6.5 but all attempts were failures.
I've had a few run in's with it but it keeps returning even when I destroy every bit he comes back bigger, faster, and meaner by assimilating newer models.
Yet it's creators are also cursed ones, but unlike the Rising Phoenix they seek to destroy every one that is not cursed no matter the cost.
There leader though Is Maxwell Walker, we know him as Anti.
We used to be allies.
He was the only mortal that didn't fear us, but after he betrayed me 1000 years ago everyone knew his true nature.
"I know," I said, "But at least I can look for the cure to the curse and stop Cyber corp."
"There is no cure," Zeak said forming from the dust on the books and the ground.
"Where there is a will there a way."
"There is just no talking you out of this," Zeak said shaking his head.
I searched through five hundred books not a single one held anything of a cure except one that I could not open that I set aside.
"What is that," Kay asked when she saw the book.
"I thought you knew every book in existence," Zeak cut in coming in from his patrol.
Kay put her hand out to try to break the seal and was met with a small shock.
"KAY!!!" Zeak and I screamed as Kay screamed.
"That book is unlike the others," she said trying to pick it up but it did not budge, "Zeak can you pick it up?"
Zeak tried lifting the book even by using the dust underneath to gain leverage yet it did not move.
"Seems to be cursed," He said backing up.
"Damn it," I said slamming my fist on the desk throwing the book open.
Zeak and Kay looked at the new opened book with shock.
"Not a direct cure," Kay said looking at the book, "But it states six gems of harmony can purge all evil."
"Where are they," I said as She walked into the back room and came back with our personal weapons and a backpack.
"Over three hundred years since we used their magical properties," she said handing me my sword Zeak his gauntlets and twirling her staff.
"Do we get to fight something?" Zeak asked.
"No. Temp," She said turning her head towards me, "You will have to retrieve them."
I was a bit overtaken by this notion and was only able to say "You want me to go into another universe and get the cure."
"Hate to say it, but you are the only one that has the potential and present skill for the job," she said handing me the backpack, "I packed a few bottles of pure alcohol if you need to burn your way out of a situation and some potions that disable your power for a two hours."
"Lets start."
We got into position and opened the gate but our goodbyes were interrupted when Cyber Cerberus broke through the ceiling of the underground library exposing fifty feet of dirt and re-enforced concrete.
I was caught off guard when Zeak and Kay started to attack.
"Run we'll hold him off," kay yelled over the sound of Cerberus attacks.
"If I run he will find a way to get to me!!" I yelled running at the cyber monstrosity being met with a hand coming out of the ground pulling me back towards the gate.
"We will be fine," Zeak yelled, "Trust us."
"No you won't You don't know this beast like I do," I yelled forcing my way through his rock hand melting it as I did so.
I schrged at the beast only for Zeak to grab me and throw me into the gate yelling, "Do not worry about us just go!!!"
I was falling at an extreme velocity through the gate, almost as if I was sky diving from the outer atmosphere of a planet which quickly became what I was doing as I was falling through the outer atmosphere of a planet that from space looked different than home.
There was no smog nor lava fields coating this world.
I quickly realized one thing that was not packed or even mentioned So I started to tuck and roll making myself look like a falling meteorite that was breaking up in a red fire.
As I breached the stratosphere the fire surrounding me started to flicker a white as my body started to morph with the fire.
I looked for the softest place to land and I had two options crash into a house that I was quickly approaching or pull up and fly into the forest.
I decided to take my chances with the trees instead of potentially killing the innocent creatures that seemed to be watching me crash.
Weaving my way through the trees Looking for a place to land I eventually hit the ground skidding to a stop melting and crystallizing some of the ground upon contact.
Getting up I found it a lot harder for some reason until I looked at myself in some of the crystal seeing that my entire body had changed from the fall from human into a white equine form with a few distinguished extra features.
In the crystal I saw I had a horn and my jacked had slightly morphed to fit my new black tipped wings.
I took notice of my mane and tail which both seemed to have been charred black and seemed to have a slight red tone underneath.
I also had a mark on my flank that seemed to resemble the Rising Phoenix logo on my jacket.
"Sometimes I wonder if my powers are just trying to make me look stupid," I said trying to walk taking me just a few steps before finding this new body had some pre-programmed instincts.
I took a vial of alcohol to see If my powers were affected by my new body.
I stepped back as the vial exploded causing the alcohol to cover me and burn in a red fire reverting me back to my normal form.
"At least I know how to revert back," I said to myself.
I looked toward the direction of the village that I crashed away from.
"Some curious creature will look for what crashed," I said forming a little favorite attack I used to defeat Cyber Cerberus 4.2.
I shot the meteor strike where I landed making sure It matched the crater I formed then quickly hiding in the trees.
Waiting until what seemed like nightfall I saw three equine come down a path straight to the meteorite.
The leader of the group seemed to be a unicorn with a purple coat, with a main and tail just a few shades lighter.
The other two seemed to be a cream colored Pegasus and a normal Pink pony.
"Something isn't right about this meteorite," The leader said, "It's trajectory was changed as If affected by magic but there is no magical residue."
"Maybe It was a CRZAYERITE," the pink one said in a voice that would make you want to burn off your ears.
"A crazyerite.... Really Pinkie," The purple one said.
About time I introduce myself
Welcome to the cyber fire
I put my hood on then, took a vial of alcohol and super heating it before throwing it at the ground causing a small blaze as I jumped in the fire burning a bright white as I did so.
The three that were studding the meteorite imminently looked at me as they backed up.
Walking out of the fire in my new equine form putting the blaze to rest leaving no trace that the blaze was even there.
"Who are you," The pink one said on top of my head removing my jacket revealing the this forms horn.
"Pinkie get off him," the purple one said a purple aura surrounding the pink one, "Sorry about that, Pinkie can be a bit random at times."
"It's no trouble," I said thinking of a reason of why I got here, "I just could sense something off in the area, A heat indifference to be precise."
The pink one was at front of me freed from the purple ones aura and asked, "Are you a prince? Because you are the third alicorn I have ever seen besides princess Celestia and Luna."
A bit surprised that my ears were able to receive every word she said, I responded, "I don't think of myself as a prince," I lied but knowing this might be the second chance that I might get after the cure takes my immortality, "But yes I am through blood," I quickly thought of a name and decided my negative's name might work for this, "I am Prince Phyro," They started to bow even the cream one that was hiding behind the purple one but I stopped them, "No need for formalities."
I heard the sound of gears turning and turned my head in the direction they had came from, "Why now," I whispered to my self breaking out in a gallop the other three in toe.
"Hey where are you going," One of them asked.
"Where ever that noise is coming from," I said following the sound eventually running out of the forest the others right behind me.
The town was in a fear stricken state with Cyber Cerberus in the center burning everything that he saw, but he looked different, more so than one of his normal self-upgrades.
As he turned while fighting three others of this equine species my worst fear was realized.
Anti, who was still in his human form, was on the center head with Zeak and Kay, who were in an equine form similar to mine, in two orbs in the chest each seeming to drain them for power.
"Stay back and keep out of sight," I said sternly.
"Why those are our friends," The purple one retaliated.
"Do you know what that thing is," I said raising my voice, "That just so happens to be a monster created to eliminate it's target completely, so stay back and let me handle this."
I charged at the beast holding my friends when Anti took his first glance at me and flipped a few switches forcing Cyber Cerberus to turn it's attention from the others to me.
"Cyber," Anti said, "Assimilate energy source."
Cyber tried to bite me with the center head only for me to keep galloping through leaking my silhouette in the teeth.
The Pegasus that was in the air was being targeted by a scatter missiles by the right head.
Using an old trick for flight using my hooves as jet engines and my wings for stabilizers I took to the air to draw the attention of the right head.
"You insignificant little prick," Anti yelled mounting a Gatling that was mounted on Cyber Cerberus's back and opened fire on the Pegasus.
I managed to get in front of her and take every shot blood staining my black coat and wings.
Opening my eyes ignoring the pain of the injures caused by the Gatling burst into flames and sealed themselves.
Getting in close I grabbed the Gatling and melted it along with the targeting systems disabling all the auxiliary weaponry before being thrown off by Anti.
I got in close to the Pegasus and grabbed her.
"Get off me," She yelled as I flew her to the other three.
"Stay here," I ordered, "Your interference can get you killed."
I flew back at cyber to rescue the other two.
This time I went for the unicorn who was easy to rescue from Cyber's paw narrowly crushing her.
Taking her to the others I burst back to Cyber to rescue the last one.
Thinking the safest rout would be under the beast I flue under the beast only to be met with a saw that sliced my right foreleg off.
I winced at the pain but the blood stopped quickly when That section of me caught fire.
I knew I only had one shot with my good hoof I reached out as Cerberuses tail started it's decent at the tan one.
By the look in her eyes I could tell she knew what I was attempting and reached out her good hoof.
I held on to her hoof as best I could Yet barely made it past Cerberus who was chasing us now.
I set her down, "Stay here," I could feel the vibrations caused by Cyber's movement stop.
"I got this," I said turning Seeing a hell hound holding the tail of Cerberus and actually pulling the behemoth back despite it being only one fourth it's size.
I started circling Cerberus creating a tornado of fire lifting him and the hellhound.
The hell hound let go of Cerberus and slammed into me. My foreleg reforming on contact with it.
"I'll get you for this," Anti yelled as I circled him.
Before I could turn and strike at one of the capsules holding my friends Cerberus launched away leaving a trail of smog behind him.
"Coward!!" I yelled at the sky.
I gave myself a second to cool off before deciding to see the one's I had rescued
Landing next to the three I rescued and the three I met in the forest I was met with a flurry of questions and a single comment.
"What was that power," The purple one asked.
"Who are you," The tan one asked.
"Are you alright," The butter yellow Pegasus asked.
"Do you like cake," The pink one asked.
"Who made that suit?" The white one asked.
"That was awesome!! Can you show me how to fly like that?" The cyan one exclaimed.
Giving myself a minuet to take in what I heard I answered the questions in the best order I could.
"A curse, Prince Phyro, Never been better, thanks for asking, Chocolate, This isn't a suit, but it was a gift from an old friend, Possibly," I took a second to realize how fast I was talking and got my question out, "And who are all of you."
They seemed a bit shocked except the pink one who was still bouncing around like her lags were spring loaded before launching into the town.
"Don't ask," the purple one said.
"Who said I was going to," putting the randomness beside I continued, "And if you don't mind me asking, just who are all of you?"
"Well Prince Phyro.." The purple one started.
"Please just call me Phyro."
"Alright Phyro," she continued, "I am Twilight Sparkle."
Introductions went quick yet they kept insisting to treat me as royalty yet I still insisted that I don't want to be treated any different than anypony else. Twilight warned me of the one that galloped off was pinkie pie and she would go to the ends of the planet to make a friend, Twilight also wanted to ask me some more questions at her library. The one that introduced herself as rarity wanted to furnish me with a new jacket, I turned it down only because this jacket is over one hundreds years old and survived multiple burns. Rainbow dash insisted a race witch even I wanted to find out who the victor was.
