Equestria is in turmoil. With the invasion of the country by the neighboring Griffonia, war has finally been waged, and with it, the cost of countless lives in its wake. To fend them off, Equestria, struggling to repel the attackers, invented an innovative war machine, one capable of lifting high into the air and firing barrages against the opposing Griffonian Empire and their aerial armada.

In command of the Equestrian Army's Fleet is General Twilight Sparkle, her airship The Pyramidion regarded as the Fleet's best, leading the Ponyvillian Squadron to multiple victories in the war-torn skies of Equis. When the Princesses receive word of a dangerous prototype in progress, they send none other than General Sparkle and her squad to both find and eliminate it. Little does she know, it will launch her and her crew into a danger more horrible than she could have ever imagined.
