The Bonds of Friendship

Amidst the Wreckage of a burning city

An Alicorn lies, broken on the ground

His chest heaves and his body aches

He can hear sirens calling his name

Will this be the day Celestia claims him?

Has she finally won?

He tries to move, to stand up

But his body refuses his demands

He can do nothing,

But wait for fate to claim him

He looked up, to see a glint in the sky

A red stone fell to his feet

The stone landed in front of him

shining with a red glow

a metal plating encased the stone.

He reached his hoof out to grab the stone

It's red glowing encasing his hoof

his eyes locked on the glow of the stone

and his body shook.

The ground trembled beneath him.

As a surge of magic flowed through him.

What is this artifact? He thought

But he did not wait to find out

The stone had given him enough magic to help him out

With a thrust the alicorn flew out of the wreckage

and into an alley

With a swift swish of his hoof

He threw the artifact around his neck

Magic surged into his body

Felling the power, he opened his wings to fly

And before anypony could see it

He vanished, a red trail of essence left behind him

This was the power he had been looking for.

This was what he wanted.

Now that he's received his gift,

Revenge was just a step closer.
