Snow Cloud, and Dazed Feathers Highschool Life
Hello there names Dazed Metalwing Feathers son of Gage, and Fluttershy. I am easily the strongest guy in town minus my dad, but I finally found my weakness......senior year in highschool.
It was early in the morning Celestias sun was just rising out form under the horizon. I yawned, and stretched my arms, and my wings. I heard a slight groan as my metallic wings tried to stretch on rather rusty hinges. I brushed a bit of my pink mane out of my eyes. I've been letting it grow out....Snow thinks it looks cute so I won't argue.
I swung my legs over the side of my small bed, and got up stretching once more. I grabbed a bottle of liquid labeled 'Rust Away' and sprayed it on my wings, and then moving them again this time not hearing any noise I sat the bottle back on the end table, and grabbed a green t-shirt, and a pair of jeans from my dresser, and closet along with my favorite purple scarf. It was a present from Snow from when we were just a couple of kids....I always had it on me. I draped the scarf around my neck, and looked into a mirror on my dresser. My brown fur was just fine, my mane may have needed some combing, and my tail was a mess.
I grabbed a brush, and ran it through my tail getting rid of any, and all tangles then doing the same with my mane. I looked back at the mirror seeing nothing wrong I grinned "I'm ready!" I walked out into the hall then into the guest room were I found Snow fast asleep on a bed. If you don't know Snow is a darkish blue furred alicorn, her mane a very light almost whiteish mane. Her eyes were orange like the sun. She was staying here with her dad while their home was fumigated for pairisprites.
While she slept she looked so peaceful....I was so caught up in just watching her sleep I didn't notice her wake up. "Good morning...." she mumbled groggily smacking me out of my trance.
"Morning Snow." I answered giving her a quick kiss on the forehead which caused her to smile a bit. I loved that smile. "So how'd you sleep last night?"
"Just fine." she answered yawning. "How bout you?"
"Not any worse not any better.....in other words fine." I said with a grin.
"That's good" she yawned "to hear." Snow said getting out of her bed. She was wearing her Wonderbolts pajamas they gave her this air of innocence I can't explain....I thought it was cute. "I'll see you downstairs?" she said in more of a question than a statement.
"Sure...." I said waving goodbye and making my way to the stairs.
As soon as I reached the stairwell I could smell my dad's pancakes cooking. Yeah my father is the Dragonborn, and he can cook some awesome pancakes how cool is that? I quickly went down the stairs, and zipped to the kitchen. In the kitchen I saw my dad. A bright red pegasus with a head of curly brown hair. On the back of his hands were his cutiemark a stack of pancakes covered in syrup with a slice of butter on top. He was arguing with a armored man I didn't recognize, and at the same time cooking.
The armored stallion wore a set of golden armor that didn't look all that great compared to the armor my dad had, and his fur was stark white, his mane and tail were a blue color...it was one of the Solar Guard. I stayed quiet, and listened.
"Sir reconsider" said the guard "your equipment would save countless lives if the Minotaurs were to attack a single one of your...energy weapons could take out an entire squad of them instantly!" I was rather interested with the topic of the argument, and stayed quiet.
"But what of after?" asked my dad "Will you mass produce them? Cause more harm than good? Cause that's what it sounds like to me." my dad put the pancakes on a plate, and placed them on the table "There is no way in hell I'd give you my weapons."
"The princess has insisted that you...." said the guard before my dad cut him off.
"I don't care what the princess insisted I'm not giving you my weapons and that's final. All governments no matter who rules them are corrupt in some way....I will not help you. The minotaurs attack I'll fight, but I'm not handing over weapons that could level entire cities to someone just cause they ask." he pointed to the door "The door is over there I suggest you use it before I loose my temper."
The guard huffed, and trotted over to the door "So....what was that all about?" asked my younger sister Crystal Sands. Apparently she was hiding in the closet in the kitchen the whole time. She was only three years younger than me, but she made up for it with her smarts. She had a head of turquoise hair, and sand colored fur. Her cutiemark was that of a crystal tower sitting on a beach.
"Just Celestia wanting me to give her my weapons I obtained from The Mojave so she can arm her troops against the minotaurs, and me refusing." stated my dad with a dismissive shrug "Anyway pancakes are done dig in."
"Don't need to tell me twice!" said my sister grabbing a large amount of the pancakes and putting them on a plate. She seemed to inherit my dad's appetite while I inherited his strength, she got his love of reading, and learning, I got his want for adventure. Sometimes I wonder who got the better end of the stick. Today she was wearing a teal t-shirt, and a pair of shorts.
I seated myself across from my sister just as Snow came into the room. She was wearing a white tank top, and a worn looking jacket, along with a pair of cargo pants. "I saw Mister Huffy walking away....lemme guess he wanted, or to be more correct Celestia wanted your weapons to stop a incoming invasion, and you refused?" she asked.
"Pretty much spot on" I said as she sat down in the chair next to me "So...blueberry or chocolate chip, or do you prefer plain?" I held up a few plates of pancakes when asking.
"Blueberry" she said grabbing the plate of blueberry pancakes and digging in. I grabbed a plate of chocolate chip and did the same in no time we had finished our breakfast, and rushed out the door.
We were just reaching Ponyville Highschool's front doors as the bell rang signaling for school to start "Well at least were not late." I retorted pushing open the door, and allowing Snow to go in first.
"Why thank you." she said in a rather posh accent that resembled Rairity's in a way causing me to chuckle a bit.
"Why no problem my dear lady" I said trying to sound as Noble as possible "I'm just doing what's right.....HAHAHHA!" we burst out laughing. I wiped a tear from my eye "Man..."
"Yeah...." Snow agreed as we walked through the hall too our first hour class. We both had language class it was rather boring, but things would get interesting rather soon...
