Chapter One: What are you gonna do?
Lyra had her hooves filled with boxes. They had been packed to the brim with unwanted crap. She let out a gasp for air as she dropped the boxes. They shook the whole room of which her friends were rummaging through her stuff, hunting down anything worth hording.
'Hey, can I have this?!' Vinyl dug out a book with a lock on it, though the lock had been broken. It was dusted off from Vinyl roughly tugging it out from under a large pile of junk.
Lyra snatched it away from Vinyl.
'No you can't, it's my diary!' She dusted her hoof across it.
At the word 'diary', Doctor's head seemed to poke out from behind a fort made from boxes. He saw the diary in Lyra's grip and scrambled towards it, taking it from her hoof.
'Yeah, Vinyl, have some respect.' Then, he immediately flicked through the pages, before three more ponies started almost lunging towards the diary like feeding time at the zoo.
Lyra, with an unamused blank expression, took the book with her magic, as they all made a poor attempt to hold on to it while it raised up. Lyra smacked Dr. Whooves on his crown when he had finally let go of it, making him scrunch up his face for a moment.
'None of you are having it, end of discussion.'
Lyra looked towards the open door to her bedroom, there were still a couple more boxes to be lifted out of there.
'I'll go get the rest, you guys start putting this stuff on Ebay.' Then, she walked out, placing the diary on the corner of her desk, which could barely balance before falling into a box.
Octavia switched on her laptop screen, and Ebay had already been opened on another tab. There was like a line from one end of the room, to the other of ponies passing down random items.
'Okay, let's start.' A rubber duck was put on the desk.
'A pinkie rubber ducky.' Called Derpy from the back of the line, as it was passed down, everypony took a turn in squeaking it.
'Check.' Octavia called back.
'A pack of A4 Paper.'
'Check.'
'Orange bunny ears.'
'Check.'
'A diary.'
'Check.'
This was where it ended. In canon, everypony in the line turned to Octavia with a gasp, widening their eyes. At that moment, time had slowed down when they all shouted at her.
'NO!' The word dragged on, as Octavia had clicked without a care.
Item on sale
'WHATTHEHELLDIDYOUJUSTDO!' Vinyl ran straight up to Octavia.
Octavia started hitting random keys on the keyboard, starting to panic while everypony else did the same behind her.
Item sold
There was a second of silence as they all looked down at the screen with horror. Then Octavia grabbed it and started clobbering it against the desk.
'What do we do?!' She yelled, her hooves on either side of her head.
'You mean, what are you gonna do.' Bon bon pointed out. This was the signal for everypony to take one step away from Octavia, while whistling casually.
Everypony turned to the door, Lyra had just walked in holding a couple of boxes in her golden aurora. She looked at them with an innocent smile on her face, unlike Octavia, who wore a big, guilty grin.
'Hey guys, what did I miss?'
They looked at her, a crowd of voices were stuttering and making a poor attempt to find excuses. Lyra looked confused.
'Wait, what?'
'Octavia sold your diary on the internet.' Blurted out Derpy. Octavia widely opened her eyes, before turning her head round to Derpy and glaring at her.
Lyra dropped the boxes from her magic, as her eye twitched once.
'You did WHAT?!' She leaned over Octavia close, leaving her no option but having to bent back in fear.
'Well, I..um, you see, I... I can e-explain..'
Lyra grabbed Octavia's bow collar with one hoof, and brought the other one far back behind her. In the nick of time, Derpy spoke.
'We could always go and get it back.' She suggested, swinging one hoof into the air.
'Derpy, I don't care for your stupid idea's right no...' She stopped, letting go of Octavia and freezing in that position while she thought. She then walked up to the laptop screen.
'Maybe that't not such a bad idea after all...'
