"Hey mum! Look at my report card!" Button Mash exclaimed as he returned home from school. He put a report card in his mothers face.
"Button," His mother said calmly as she pushed the paper from her face. "I can't read it if it's in my face." She looked down at the report card. A smile soon spread across her face. "Button! You made all A's, and one B!" She gave him a hug. "I'm so proud! Now, I shall keep my word. You can have anything you want, as long as it is affordable. Anything from 250 bits and down. So whatever game you would like, lets see you could have Call of Cutie Ghosts, or---"
"Can Sweetie Belle come over?" Button said suddenly. He had a big smile on his face.
"Wait..." His mother said. She looked at him confusedly. "You don't want a game, or a console...or anything?"
"Nope, I still have some Co-op campaigns to finish, and I need some help from Sweetie Belle!" Button said again.
"But I thought you said you finished those with your other friend..." Buttons Mother said again.
"Oh...yeah..." Button said. "But, can she still come over?"
"Button..." His mother said once more. "I don't think we have time for Sweetie to come over..." Buttons smile immediately faded.
"Oh," He said. "then...I...I don't want anything." Button hung his head low as he left. Dropping the report card on the ground. His mother could have sworn she saw a tear falling from his eye. She frowned also, and started pondering something she could do. She continued to cook a meal she had started before.

Buttons mother felt bad for button.
"I think I should make time for her to come over." She said. Then she thought for a moment. "No, there is no way!" When she said that, grease shot into her eye. She dropped her cooking things and fell down. When she got back up, one of her carrots was standing on two legs and looking at her.
"You are right, you should let Sweetie come over." The carrot said. Buttons mom looked oddly at the carrot.
"Did you just..." She said.
"Yes...my lips are moving, I'm walkin'! Wadaya think?" The carrot replied.
"Okay, okay, I'll let her come over!" Buttons mom said.
"Then I'm done here." The carrot said. He threw more grease into the mother's eyes as she fell down and regained consciousness.
"That was weird." She said. She put the food back, mixed it up, and went over to Buttons room to talk to him.

Button's mom opened to door to Button's room.
"Button..." She said. She saw Button laying on his bed with a sad face. "Button I've been thinking and, I guess I could let Sweetie come over tomorrow." Button's ears perked up.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes. The carrot told me to." Button's mom replied.
"Well whatever that means, Thanks Mum!" He shouted giving her a hug.

The next day Button came home from school, he sat at his door eagerly. Sweetie had to finish homework, then she could come over. So Button decided to go ahead and eat a snack. As he was eating, he was thinking about things. Not games, but things that children don't normally think about. (Not even today...) He was thinking of life, and mainly Sweetie Belle. He was the best colt, or pony in general second only to Sweetie herself to put aside the annoyingly squeaky voice. All the squees, squeaks, and squeals were fine to him. As for other ponies they were certainly annoying. Button thought she was cute, but every filly was...except a few. With Sweetie however, they had developed a closer friendship. Button wasn't sure of what to think of it, but he was willing to take a chance to find out if it would become more.
Button finished his snack, a small bowl of vanilla ice cream, and made his way to his room to make preparations. His relatives were away with his father, and apparently his mother had a trip to go on, just a short one. Button wasn't thinking of anything...

But he knew when his mother wasn't there, that they would be allowed to shout when they won, or 'speak to the screen'. He was getting more excited by the minute. Adrenaline sparked within him as he heard the doorbell ring. He ran down the stairs of his house, slid along the floor. He ran in front of his mother and swung the door open. Sweetie finally came.
"Hi!" Sweetie Belle said. A smile was locked on Buttons face.
"Hiiiiiiiyyyyaa...!" He replied. Sweetie gave him a strange look. Button shook his head and his face was back to normal. "Sorry, over excitement."
"Well it's good to see you happy Button." Buttons mother said. "I'll need to leave in about thirty minutes, will you two be fine?" The two shook their heads. To make a small explanation, crime in Equestria was much less of that in the human world. Which meant that allowing a colt and a filly to stay alone in a house was okay. There was no suspicion. Now, back to the story.
Button and Sweetie ran up to Buttons room.
"What do you want to do first?" Button asked. Sweetie got out a bag.
"I brought something of my own." Sweetie said. She got something out of the bag. It seemed to glow, it was a case...a game case and the game was...
"Minecraft!" Button shouted with excitement. It was a two player Minecraft Video game, one of the best games ever in Buttons opinion.
"That's not all either..." Sweetie said. She used her magic to levitate another case out of the bag. It was small so she could lift it. On the cover it read, AMNESIA: A MACHINE FOR PONIES. Button's eyes widened.
"You want us to play...that?!" He asked. Amnesia was one of the most frightening games ever made. He wasn't sure if he was going to be able to play it. He thought again and remembered it was easier with Sweetie Belle.
"Yep," Sweetie replied. "We're gonna play it, and we're gonna beat it before I leave. Maybe I could get a fearless filly cutiemark!"
"Yeah." Button said. "Maybe I'll get a hide-in-a-closet-crying-colt cutie mark." They both laughed as Button turned on his Xbox. He put in the Minecraft and they started playing.

"Sweetie!" Button shouted. "There's a skele---" Before he could finish Sweetie Belle was shot in the back with an arrow. Her items scattered everywhere.
"Aww darnit!" Sweetie exclaimed. "That's the fourth time I've died today, and all by skeleponies!" At that moment, Buttons mother came in.
"Button, I'm leaving now, I'll be back in an hour alright?" She said.
"Alright mum." Button said. His mother closed the door.
"It's time..." Sweetie said. Button gave her a confused look.
"Wha...?" He murmured.
"It's time to play Machine for Ponies." Sweetie replied. She had a sly grin on her face.
"Oh...alright..." Button said. He was already scared by Sweeties expression and tone. Sweetie Belle took out the game and put in into Button's PC. It loaded up and had a start button, ready to click. Button slowly put his hoof on the mouse of his PC and clicked start. The sounds and music were already freaking him out. The screen came up. Title cards for the collaborating game companies appeared. Frictional Games, and The Pone-ies Room. Then the title screen came up. It looked like a machine, the profile creator popped up. Button put in his name, and hit enter. Then he clicked the 'new game' button.
The game zoomed in on the machine and faded to black. A picture of a heart appeared with letters labeling the parts of it. The menu music was still playing. That screen went to black as words popped up on the screen.

There was a loud noise as an even larger machine appeared on the screen, roaring to life. The next thing button heard was;
"Daddy...Daddy...Please don't kill me." The screen cut to black.
"This is a bit...creepy." Button said. After a couple of moments, he woke up in game and got out of his bed. He made his way through the game world, checking every room before leaving. One thing kept reoccurring, and it was the spawn of a pig mask. Button thought nothing of it. He made his way through the place grabbing notes. He would jump when two fillies would run by, but it wasn't much of a scare. He made is way to a secret path. After pulling down a gun and looking around a desk. He walked in and the door shut behind him. He looked through a painting at the desk he had just saw, and there lie a pig mask. Startled, he looked over at another bedroom. Some pig/pony hybrid lay in it. Button was startled again and ran past to make his way out of that part in the game.

After several hours of small scares and whatnot, Button got to the more scary part of the game. He was filling a fuel container for a sort of vehicle outside of the building he was in, when a loud bang sounded. He saw something run across the balcony above, it was another Pony-Pig, except this one was busting down a door to kill him. Frightened out of his mind, Button ran across the place with the fuel and put it in the vehicle. He hoof-cranked it and continued his way inside of a church building.
Inside there were statues of Celestia, but with the face of a pig. Button ran faster, solving a puzzle opening a stair case, and descended down the stairs. When he got to the bottom, that was when things got intense.
"Sweetie...this is getting a bit too much for me to handle." He said, pausing the game.
"Aww, but it was fun watching you get scared!" Sweetie said. Button thought for a moment.
'This is one time that I can be able to impress her!' He said. But it was too scary for him. Suddenly he felt something around him. He looked back to see Sweetie Belle giving him a hug. "Uhh...Sw..Sweetie? How you doin..?" He asked confusedly.
"What you said you were scared." She said. "I thought I'd cheer you up, now continue playing."
"Wait, so what if I get scared again?" Button asked.
"You get more hugs!" Sweetie said with a smile on her face.
"What if I faked it?" Button asked.
"Most likely I would know, but that doesn't mean I couldn't still give you a hug!" Sweetie said.
"Okay, lets continue." Button said. He unpaused the game and continued playing. He trotted a couple of steps further, and then jumped in fright as an anonymous pony shouted, "HELP!! GET ME OUT...!!!" followed by the rapid pounding of chains and bars.
"Sweetie..!" Button said. "I'm scared again!"
"Okay!" Sweetie said. She gave him another hug. Button was immediately cured of his fright. And kept going. Suddenly, another anonymous stallion started speaking in old pony language, also known as Latine/Latina/Latin. Button made his way down a staircase and his lantern started flickering. He stopped. He went further and Pony-Pig ran by him. He jumped again. Sweetie Belle on instinct hugged him. Button peeked around the corners, and nothing happened. He walked by and made his way to a door, when he herd a snort. He hid behind a nearby box. He heard footsteps getting closer, and closer, and closer. Then they stopped. Button was thinking about getting up until the Pony-Pig squealed and ran right to him in his face, and hit him three times. Button shouted in fright and ran to the door to get out. The game was loaded the next level. Sweetie went to hug him and this time he hugged back.
Suddenly, the two just realized what was happening. They had just come to notice that they both liked each other.
"Sweetie...can I tell you something?" Button asked.
"Yeah, what is it?" Sweetie replied.
"I...uh..." Button paused for a moment. "I like you---"
"Too." Sweetie finished. She hugged Button tighter, as did he. "You see, the reason I brought that game was that I knew you would get a bit startled, so it would give me an excuse to be able to hug you, and maybe it would make it easier for me to tell you that I liked you."
"Funny...that's the same reason I did my best to have you to come over." Button said.
"Well you know what they say, no kiss on the first date." Sweetie said.
"Yeah." Button agreed.
"But this isn't the first time I've been over so hope you enjoy." Sweetie said with a chuckle. Before Button could say anything, or even process what she had just said, she went up to give him a small kiss on the lips. Button blushed and fell back in his gaming chair.

"Button, I'm home!" Buttons mother exclaimed as she opened the door to their house.
"Hi Mum." Button said. Sweetie walked in beside him.
"Did you and Sweetie Belle have a good day while I was gone?" Buttons mother asked.
"Yes, very." Button and Sweetie said, simultaneously.
