  It had been five days since Hyper had seen Dr. Bluecross and he had still not told his friends about his decision. Finally he came to the conclusion that he could not tell them the truth because he knew they would try to stop him. Hyper decided he would invite all his friends over and come up with something to say then. Hyper wrote out letters to all of his friends inviting them to his candy shop that night. Hyper’s special talent was making all kinds of sweets and soda. Eventually all of his friends arrived the party included Fira, Skittle,Velveteen, SoftServe, Artsy, and Blaze. “So why did you call us all here Hyper?” Skittle asked. “Yeah I was going to give my firecat a lava bath when you called.” Fira added. “Well it is very important…..” Hyper stated. “Well, than spit it out Man! I have plans with a mare tonight we are going to get lattes and I do not want to be late.” Blaze shouted. “I’m… I’m” Hyper racked his mind for things to say. “I’m having surgery in two days!” “What!!??” Artsy and Softserve yelled in unison. Everyponys mouth dropped. Velveteen’s cheerful walk seemed to lose its happy bounce. “Hyper for what?” Fira asked. “Why didn’t you tell us!?” Skittle added. “It’s just a simple surgery I’m having my….. stomach pumped!” Hyper hoped his friends would believe this lie.”I didn’t tell you because I was afraid you guys would worry over it” “Well Yeah we would worry!” Fira exclaimed “Well I hope you everything goes well in the surgery…” Velveteen said hugging Hyper. “Yeah we will all come visit you after it’s over!” Softserve chimed in. “Thanks you guys…” Hyper said. “I’m sure everything will go fine….”
