It Should Be Beautiful! Probably.

"So, I need to throw a party for him."

"Of course, Rarity! I will totally help you!"

"Really? Oh, thank you, Pinkie Pie." she smiled gratefully at her friend. "Where should we throw the party?"

"Here, at Sugarcube Corner, duh!" she pranced inside as she lead her friend in, running up the stairs with a certain unicorn following behind her. "Streamers! We need streamers!" Pinkie reached into a chest, pulling out pink streamers, a variety of different colored balloons and a "balloon-blower-upper" as she liked to call it.

"We need white and blue streamers. Those are his favorite colors."

"And pink streamers! Pink always brings in the mood of the party!"

"No, that simply won't do, Pinkie. Fancy Pants doesn't like pink."

"How do yooouuu know?"

"W-well...most stallions don't like pink."

"Fancy Pants isn't most stallions," Pinkie Pie snorted, "he probably likes pink more than you think!"

"Pshhh," said the unicorn, "of course he does not! I know Fancy Pants better than you do!" she spat.

"Rarity!" she drew out, her lip quivering.

"I'm sorry, Pinkie, but he does not like pink."

"But--" she said, then cut herself off, bringing her hoof down in defeat. "Okay." She picked up the blue and the white streamers, giving Rarity the balloons and  the "balloon-blower-upper" to carry downstairs. "And we can make his cake." she said, her expression lighting up.

"Of course."

"Do you really think he'd want to come to Ponyville for his birthday? Won't his reputation-thingy-ma-bobber get ruined?" Rarity shook her head.

"He actually said he'd be delighted to come to Ponyville for any party we'd throw him." Pinkie nodded, and began to throw the streamers about the room.

"No, no, no, Pinkie. That's not how you do it." Rarity gathered all the streamers that were thrown, then neatly laid them around the ceiling. "There."

"But Rarity! That's so neat and boring! The point of parties isn't neat, it's fun!"

"Neat is fun, Pinkie." the earth pony frowned at her friend, then took the streamers from her and threw them around the room messily. "Is not!"

"Is too!" she straightened the streamers out and laid them neatly around the room again, only for Pinkie to mess it up.

"Is not!"

"Is too!" they argued. Rarity eventually gave up and sighed. "Alright, Pinkie." The earth pony simply smiled, and hopped beside Rarity into the kitchen. The unicorn followed. "I already have the cake in the oven, it just needs to bake!" she said, pushing a few buttons as a light in the oven turned on. "What color frosting?"

"Hm...blue."

"Are you sure? I think he might like pink, or yellow, or red or--"

"Blue."

"But Rarity!"

"Blue is one of his favorite colors! He doesn't even like pink or yellow or red!"

"How do you know?!"

"Because I know him better than you do, Pinkie!"

"Do not!"

"Do so!"

"Do not!"

"Do so!" the timer on the cake went off, but the two mares were too busy arguing to hear it. The cake sat in the oven for five more minutes, and began to burn.

"Do not!"

"Do so!" Rarity sniffed. "Is something burning?"

"The cake!" they yelled in unison. Pinkie turned off the oven, and pulled the cake out of the oven. The cake was burnt on the edges. "Well...it's okay. After we put the frosting on it, he won't even know it's burnt!"

"Pinkie, we cannot give a sophisticated Canterlot pony burnt cake!"

"It's not like he'll notice."

"Of course he will! I am willing to bet he has had cake before enough times to taste when it is burnt!"

"We can't make another cake, all the batter ingredients are gone. I used it all for this cake."

"This simply won't do. Alright, fine, we have to use this cake, but make sure to put extra frosting on it! I will go make the banner. Do not worry, I will sign both of our names on it." she walked out of the kitchen, getting a banner. "Aha." she took a quill in her mouth and wrote in cursive: "Happy Birthday from Rarity and Pinkie Pie!" she smiled, then began to hang the banner with her magic, moving a few streamers. "Rarity!"

"Yes?"

"The cake's ready!"

"Oh, I'm coming." she said, then walked into the kitchen. "Pinkie!"

"Yes?"

"You made it all four colors?"

"Yeah, that way it's a compromise." Rarity facehoofed. Could this party planning get any worse?!

"Alright, lets get some balloons blown up."

"They should all be blue and white."

"Why not pink and yellow?"

"Because those aren't his favorite colors!"

"Maybe he likes all four!"

"I don't think so!" Rarity kept blowing up blue and white ones, while Pinkie blew up pink and yellow ones. The balloons eventually ended up all over the place. There was a knock at the door. "Oh no, that's him!"

Rarity walks over to the door and opened it to be greeted by none other than Fancy Pants. "Oh, Fancy Pants, there you are...We, erm, just finished decorating!" Rarity shot a glare at Pinkie, who just shrugged. Fancy Pants walked in, looking around. "Well, I say, this is a very nice-looking party."

"Oh, really? Pinkie and I decorated ourselves!" Pinkie waved rapidly at him.

"Ooh, ooh, oooohhh! We should have cake now!" the earth pony ran into the kitchen and brought out the cake as well as plates and forks. Fancy Pants took a bite of the cake after getting a slice.

"This cake is rather tasty, if I do say so myself. You simply must give me the recipe!"
