She sighed and stepped away from the window. She went into the bathroom and splashed some water on her face darkish lightish brown fur. She looked up and was greeted by her sparkling blue eyes staring straight at her. She pulled her mane back into three ponytails (Pun not intended) and wrapped them in light red bands. She did the same for her tail and flapped out her wings, inspecting them closely, seeing how each feather was layed out. She moved down until she saw her cutie mark. It was a four-pointed star with a pair of wings attached to it. She smiled and remembered that time she got it. The wonderbolts were doing a special performance for the empress and she got to go. She was young back then and barely knew how to fly. It was half way through the show when she realized everypony was watching her. She was flying and copying the wonderbolt's moves almost exact. But the most remarkable thing was the stars had just came out when everypony noticed her. She looked down and saw her cutie mark on that once blank flank. She looked back up and felt a tickle in her nose. She took a deep breath and grabbed a tissue. She sneezed and watched a dark grey feather fall down. She looked up and saw a hole in the cloud ceiling. Sure enough it was her brother, Night Wing. He was kicking holes in his floor, His records blaring loud, again. “Night Wing!! Stop kicking out your floor while I'm getting set to go somewhere!” she yelled at him. He shrugged and barely noticed her, but he stopped none the less. She sighed a breath of relief and walked out into the living room. She looked around at the familiar sights. The stairway on the left near her door, check, The sofa, ruined with tons of holes in it, check, Otherwise, it was a nice home. It had a warm atmosphere, nice décor, tons of food in the kitchen. She walked into the kitchen and opened up the cupboards and grabbed some oats. She silently munched on them, until there was a knock on the door. “Squirt! Go get the door!” yelled Night from his room. “Why do I always got to do it...” muttered Essence, opening the door. She opened the door to find that no pony was there. She looked down and there was a package and a note. She picked up the note and read it. It said: To Essence and Night Wing. You are both invited to the Digimon Academy. You have been entrusted with two digimon, or rather digital monsters. They are in their egg stage right now but soon will hatch with time. How they grow and experience this world is up to you. She looked around for a return address but none was to be found. She put the letter down and pulled the package. She opened it up and found two eggs in it. One was purple with stars on it and the other was blue and had triangles on it. “But who sent them...” she said aloud. “Who sent what?” said a voice. Essence turned around and saw Night coming out of his bedroom and down the stairs. He was a grey stallion Pegasus with slightly darker eyes than Essence. He had a dark blue mane and tail with a yellow streak through it. It was a bit windswept but he was one of the fastest flyers in japone. His cutie mark was two samurai swords clashing together. She held up the letter and said “Well we're something called a digidestined and yeah... we got pets I guess...” She picked up the one with stars on it and inspected it closely. No cracks or anything that looks like it would be damaged. She slowly picked it up and carried it to her room. She covered it up with a blanket and sat down. Tick... tock... tick... tock... She sighed loudly and flopped on her back. She didn't care that her feathers were getting messed up and she would need to fix them again before she went flying again. An hour went by and Essence was on the floor, snoring. Eventually there was a loud crack that woke Essence up. She sat up quickly and looked at the egg. Sure enough, The egg had cracked. She crawled up to it and tapped it. In response to her touch it started to glow. She backed away quickly and in the egg's place was a... blue thing. It had tiny wings and looked as shiny as a pearl. It also had giant eyes that were purely black. Besides the thing was a green and white object. It was shaped like something that was just introduced in Neighpon called a cell phone, Except it didn't have that lid that flips open. Shame that they didn't have any in Japone. It opened its eyes and said “Hello?” Essence was on the back wall, struggling to get as far away from that thing as she could. “S-s-stay back!! I-i-i know how to f-f-fight!!” she yelled at it. It wasn't even fazed by her yelling. “I won't hurt you... I promise... I can't even fight yet...” it said. Essence creeped forward a bit and stared at the creature. “What are you?” she asked, curiously. “I'm a digimon. Who are you?” “Essence Wing. Do you have a name or do I have to make one up for you?” “No you don't. My name is Pupumon!!” “Um... maybe I should just call you squishy...” “Hey!! Whats wrong with the name I got!?” “Nothing! It just sounds... weird I guess..” Essence rubbed the back of her head nervously. Pupumon just smiled and hopped on her back. “I'm starving, can I eat now?” he asked. Essence picked the green and white object up. They made their way down to the kitchen and Essence got Pupumon something to eat. “so... where did you come from?” she asked. “The digital world I guess. I don't remember when I came to the real world.” he answered in between bites of berries and oats. Suddenly he started to glow and when the light disappeared in his place was a creature that looked like a bee but had three pairs of wings. It had huge green eyes, Two tiny antenna, stubby legs and had a small stinger on its rump, but he was yellow and had no stripes. “Yay!! I digivolved!!! It shouldn't have been that quick but still yay!” he shouted as he flew all around the room. “Um.... what just happened...” Essence said, stunned. “I digivolved to Puroromon! Hm? Whats this piece of paper?” he said, seeing the letter on the floor by the box. He flew over and picked it up and read it. “OOH it says here you got to go to a aca... acua... acea... a thing!” he shouted out, having some difficulty with the word academy. “Yeah but I got school tomorrow as well.. plus I have no idea where this place is.” Essence explained. Puroromon nodded his head like he understood what she was saying when in realitity he did not. He did, however, understand that she had no idea where it was though. “Well maybe this Night Wing would know?” he suggested, helpfully. “Silly, Night is my brother. He never smiles though...” Essence said as her brother walked out of his room. “Essence, what's this following me?” he said, reffering to the green seahorse-dragon thing on his back. It had a horns like branching coral and a tail like a cloud. “Hey! I'm not a something! The name's Babydmon! Now like it or not I'm your partner!” he said. Puroromon just stared at him, still buzzing in the air. “Um... now what's that floating in the air?” he asked Essence, pointing at puroromon. “Well its a digimon of course... You have one. didn't he explain what he is and stuff?” Essence explained. Babydmon looked guilty and said “Um... yeah... I didn't do that... heh... sorry...” Night rolled his eyes. “Whatever, I work alone though got that?” he said to babydmon. He nodded sadly and Night walked back to his room. Essence just stared and said “Um... well... Babydmon? Its ok... he'll come around eventually.” Essence walked over and pulled out a Saddle Bag with her Cutie Mark on it. “Hey Night?! I'm going on a little walk 'kay? When I'll be back, I have no idea.” Essence shouted. No response. “Babydmon? Keep out of sight of my mom when she comes home."Essence continued. He nodded and ate the rest of Puroromon's oats. “Hey!! Those are mine!” Puroromon yelled, ramming Babydmon. “Hot Steam!!" yelled Babydmon, Pushing Puroromon back with a burst of hot steam. “Chikkuritto!” puroromon yelled, slicing through the steam with his little stinger. “Grr... stop it!” Yelled Essence, who was busy packing food and medical supplies. The digimon turned and stared at her. Puroromon looked down sadly. “I'm sorry I yelled. Just don't fight again. Now if we're partners then I guess you better hop in.” she said, pointing to the empty second saddlebag. Puroromon buzzed in and poked his head out. Essence slipped the saddlebags on and fit her wings in the holes cut out for pegasi. “I suggest you hold on tight, these wings are not for- oh wait!!! I forgot something!!” Essence said, flying into her room. She grabbed her blue vest and took off her saddlebags and slipped it on. She put the saddlebags back on and flew out. She peeked inside the empty saddlebag and saw puroromon was asleep. “Only two minutes and he's asleep...” she said as she dropped a small bag of oats into it for when he woke up. She ran out the door and started to flap her wings as hard as she could. She wobbled a bit before remembering something important. She needed to readjust her flight feathers. Bursting out of the house with the same bravado as before, she managed to get a lift of air. She soared for hours, over houses, over trees and eventually getting to the ocean. She took a mini telescope out of her vest pocket and looked through it. She saw an island close by the, or so it seemed through the telescope. The only problem was the sun was lowering. She took off towards that island. It was nightfall when she landed on the island so she decided to set up camp there. She suddenly heard laughing. She made her way over to the sound and she saw a bonfire with what looked like a whole class of ponies and... digimon? There were cheers of delight as the fire sprung up, dancing in the wind. She stepped torwards the nearest pony and said “Um, excuse me? Is this the digimon Academy? I got a letter saying to come here...” the pony turned and said “Yes this is, who are you?" The pony was a tan unicorn with a light blue mane that parted where his horn is. His tail stuck out and was blue with cyan tips. He had green eyes and his cutie mark was two blue lightning bolts crossing in an X formation. The digimon next to him looked like a tapir with a metal helmet and a golden ring around his wrist. He was connected to a cloudlike object and he was chewing on something hard and sticky. “I'm Essence Wing... Yours?” She said "The name's Lightning Blast and this is my partner Tapirmon.” Tapirmon bowed. “Essence Wing.... Ah, Thats a beautiful name you have. So care to join me for dinner?" Essence nodded shyly as she took Lighting's hoof. " I run the new tamer class, If you didn't know. Oh wait, where's your digimon?” he said. She pointed to the saddlebags and took them off. She poked Puroromon, In response he flew up lazily. “Morning already? When's breakfast... hey why is so dark?” He said. He looked around and saw Essence's face was right next to his. “AAH! Don't scare me like that Essence...” he said, hugging Essence. Essence hugged him back and said “We made it I think. This is Lightning Blast and Tapirmon. Lightning, Tapirmon, this is [uroromon. He's my partner digimon I guess." Lightning looked closer at puroromon. “Ah I see. He's in his In-Training form. Soon he'll digivolve again into his Rookie form. That will be FanBeemon. You got an amazing digimon there. not very often a tamer meets a virus type like this digimon. How long ago did he hatch. He should have been in his fresh form. That would have been Pupumon.” explained Lightning. “Um.. when he hatched? This morning I think... or rather torwards lunch time...” She said, confused. Lightning thought for a bit then replied “He should digivolve again sometime tonight acually... if my math is correct.. then again I didn't get my cutie mark in math. Anyways help yourself to some of our treats.” Puroromon buzzed away and started eyeing a container of yellow sweets. Tapirmon floated over and said “You want some Digi-Bytes? Here.” He handed Puroromon a container of them. Puroromon squealed in glee and started to eat. He finished them soon after. He reached up for another one when the whole table came crashing down on top of him. Tapirmon and other digimon tried helped him out but a white glow was coming from under the food. “Puroromon digivolve to.... FanBeemon !!” he yelled as he burst out as FanBeemon. He was a whole lot bigger with three pairs of legs that are fully grown. His huge green eyes were gone and replaced by normal green eyes. One pair of his wings disappeared but the other two grew bigger. His attenna grew bigger but also floppier. A bunch of ponies crowded over to see the digimon. Essence was wondering what the hubub was all about. She flew over and saw a digimon that she didn't see before. It was covered in food though. It flew over to her and hugged her, laughing. “Oh.. its you Puroromon... I guess you digivolved again though..” Essence said, smiling. Everypony just stared at her, just because she wasn't ever there before. An old unicorn began to push his way through the crowd. He asked essence “Are you Essence Wing?” Essence nodded. “but where's your brother? He got send a letter too right?” “Uh huh... he stayed back in Japone though. He had a digimon called umm... Babydmon thats right! Hey, how did you know I have a brother? Have you been watching us?” “What?! No! The digital world tells us when new Tamers have risen. And you two were in the area together all the time so I assumed that you were either family or very good friends.” “Ah... I see sorry about that..” “Water under the bridge. Now can I see the letter just to see if it got there safely?” “Sure.” said essence, pulling out the letter. She showed it to him and he took in in a light blue aura. “Lets see... Ah ok then here you go and welcome to the digimon Academy! I am King piece and I am the headmaster around here. You got here kind of late so why don't we all go retire for the night?" He takes out a list of names with a burst of magic. "You will be staying with Rainy Days. She studies hard but she's a nice mare.” Side Story 1: Spar with Crescent Blade!Essence walked down the long hallway with FanBeemon by her side. she passed a room with a strange unicorn dueling a yellow Pegasus. she walked into the doors and saw the digimon that unicorn owned was sort of like a black dinosaur with red bands all over it's body and two blades connected to it's wrists. The Pegasus was using a small orange digimon that looked a bit like a pig with huge ears. "All right Patamon! Blackgrowlmon is strong but we can do it! DIGIVOLVE!" She shouted as she pulled a machine similar to hers. Patamon began to grow, and his ears grew to be a pair of giant wings and he looked like a bipedal angel more than a pig. " Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!" The unicorn smirked, and BlackGrowlmon rushed forward. "Exhaust flame!" It yelled as it spat out a stream of flame at Angemon. He swiftly dodged but his top right wing got burned. "Hand of fate!" He yelled as his staff disappeared into a burst of energy. he pulled his fist back and quickly punched the air, sending a giant glow fist at BlackGrowlmon. "Plasma Blade!" he yelled as he swung his blades at the oncoming fist, dispersing it from the air. he rushed forward and slashed at angemon, sending him flying. Even though they were both Champion level digimon, it was clear there was a more power on BlackGrowlmon's side. The Pegasus rushed over and picked up the fallen patamon. "Good match Cresent" she said, Yawning. "Nice try but try to get stronger next time." he said. New Dawn nodded and flew out a open window. Essence walked in, Fanbeemon hiding behind her wings. "Cresent, you got a new opponent..." BlackGrowlmon said, tapping cresent with his tail. Cresent turned around and essence stopped in her tracks. "O-opponent? M-Me? Oh I couldn't possibly match the power you two have... just came to see what was going on..." she said, her eyes being drawn to his ears. "Finally noticed huh? Well we going to spar or what?" he said, Walking to the other side of the gym/arena. she stared at FanBeemon and shrugged, She galloped over to the other side and FanBeemon followed. "I truly have no idea what to do..." she whispered to FanBeemon. "I guess I fight... a C-champion level digimon?! NO WAY I'M DOING THIS!!" FanBeemon said, his voice raising torward a scream at the end. "U-um besides it like, 11:00 at night, we should go to bed!" He added, hiding behind Essence. She sighed and pushed him out in the middle of the arena. "Look, if we're going to be here we need to learn ok? You may have just... done whatever that was called but we can do this ok?!" Essence said, staring him in the eyes. He sighed and flew out in the middle of the arena. he gulped as he saw the giant black digimon loom over him. "H-Hi.." he said in a quiet voice. "I didn't come here to talk... lets get this going so I can just have food." BlackGrowlmon said, sharpening his claws against his wrist blades. "Plasma Blades!" BlackGrowlmon yelled as he rushed at FanBeemon. Due to the size differences FanBeemon was able to easily dodge out of the way of the blades. "Gear Stingers!" He yelled as he shot a stream of stingers at BGrowlmon. He just swatted them away, not impressed at all. "Nightfury! You can do better than that!" Crescent Blade shouted at B.Growlmon. Essence felt entirely useless through that period of them exchanging shots and either missing or doing nothing to the other. "If only I could do that trick that the Pegasus used..." Essence said to herself. "Essence!! Digivolve me to waspmon!" FanBeemon shouted, dodging another blow. "How?!" she yelled as something in her saddlebags started beeping. she pulled it out and it was the green machine. it had the word DIGIVOLUTION scrolling across it. Essence held it up and shouted "Digivolve!" FanBeemon was surrounded in a bright light. " FanBeemon digivolve to... Waspmon" Essence was amazed to see what FanBeemon had become. "Woah..." she said under her breath. "I'm impressed. you two must have a strong bond for Waspmon to digivolve to champion so soon." crescent said, sweeping his hoof in front of him in a dramatic way. "But it won't help you, Nightfury!" Nightfury charged forward, barely missing waspmon. he managed to scratch his armor but he was still able to fight. " Turbo Stinger!!" Waspmon shouted, sending several lasers down at Nightfury. they hit him spot on but he easily shook them off. "Ha! Exhaust flame!" NightFury shouted, sending a burst of black flame torward Waspmon. He countered it with a mighty Turbo Stinger attack. "I'm tired so lets just finish this, Bear Buster!! " Waspmon shouted, charging up a giant laser blast. "Agreed, Plasma Blade!!" Nightfury shouted as the same time. He charged forward, and leaping up just as Waspmon unleashed his Bear Buster attack. They both got caught in each others attacks so there was a huge explosion, followed by two digimon falling from the explosion. FanBeemon landed with a thud while BlackGuilmon (Or still Nightfury if you want to still call him that) was caught in his tamers magic. "Good job, what was your name anyways?" Crescent asked Essence, walking over to her. "My name is Essence Wing. I just arrived from Japone." Essence said, picking up FanBeemon. "I can tell that your new. Anyways, Mares dorm rooms are up the stairs then to the left. If you're assigned to the cloud dorms then you can just fly out that window and up, like New Dawn did." Crescent explained. "Um... one last question... Why are your ears and eyes like that..." Essence asked, hoping not to have pushed a nerve. He sighed and said "My mother was a threstal and my father was a unicorn. I ended up getting some of my mothers features and some of my dad's features. I really don't want to explain my life story right now..." He pulled out a small picture that was in his bag he had put against the wall while he was sparring. he slightly smiled at it as he folded it and put it back Essence said "So you're a vesper? I've seen a few walking or flying around yokoneigha. Well, maybe sometime we can exchange stories about how we met our partners." He laughed and said "You know what, I think I'd accually like that. Sure, maybe sometime this weekend when I'm not busy." Essence smiled and thanked him. With FanBeemon on her back, she walked out. (Meanwhile at Japone) "COME ON NIGHT I WANNA GO FIND ESSENCE!!!" The newly digivolved Dracomon cried out. The black pegasus covered his ears, he couldn't take much more of this. his parents haven't come back and he was really worried about Essence. "OK fine! We'll go to this 'Academy' and find her!" Night cried out, exasperated. Chapter Four: First day!Essence walked down the long hallway to dorm room number 64. she knocked on it and a loud boom came from inside. "Dracomon! I told you not to use that to put up streamers! We need to get this dorm in shape for our dormate's arrival!" A voice said. "Awww, but ever since I found it floating in the ocean I've always wanted to use it!" There was a loud crash and the sound of a window being slammed closed. Essence winced at the sound and carefully opened the door. Inside there was a blue earth pony with a green braided mane and tail yelling at a green dragonlike digimon. "Now nopony gets to use it. Happy? Just please hang the streamers up normally..." she said, exasperated. she looked over to see essence was standing in the doorway, shocked. "Oh my! You must be essence wing! I'm so sorry, Draco keeps messing things up, but thats just because he's a natural klutz." she said, giggling at the end. "I'm supposed to be your new roommate..." Essence said, feeling a bit shy. "Oh welcome to dorm room number 64! You arrived at a very awkward time, here at D.A. Tomorrow is, well, You'll see. !" she explained. Essence took off her saddle bags and put them on the ground, careful not to mess up the decor. Fanbeemon slid of Essence's back and fell asleep on the floor. "Looks like he had a rough night..." Dracomon said, blowing up a orange balloon. "Not the ones dracomon! those are supposed to go outside! He never stops... oh i should introduce myself, I am rainy days." Rainy said, holding out her hoof. "As you know I'm Essence and this is FanBeemon, the laziest digimon in the world..." Essence said, taking the hoof and shaking it. "Well just put your things on the top bunk." She asked. Essence nodded and threw her things on the top bunk, As well as Fanbeemon. "Why is he all banged up like that?" Rainy asked. Essence told her about the duel and how he got all banged up. "Oh I see what happened now..." She said, winking and giggling. Essence quickly hid her face behind her wings as they grew a nice crimson. She cleared her throat and said "Sooo, Why are you decorating?" Rainy said "Well, It was supposed to be for you... but we never got done since Dracomon isn't helping." "You're sure as rain, I'm not helping. I do not like parties too much. Too loud." "You get free candy and other sweets..." Rainy taunted. "Wait CANDY??!!!" Dracomon said, shooting straight up and hung some balloons to the outside of the dorm rooms door. The mares laughed and sat down on the bed. Rainy yawned and rubbed her eyes with a hoof. "We better get some sleep." Rainy said, flopping on her bed. "M'kay... Good night..." Essence said, flying up on her bed and falling asleep. The mares were woken to an knock at their door. "Come on Mares, Up and at'em!" Said an unusually cheery voice. "nnghhh... Go away night..." Essence muttered, opening her eyes to see FanBeemon hovering in her face. "Morning Essence! Time to get up!" He said, unusually cheery. "Why are you up so early... It's a Friday...." She said, yawning. "Well do you want to be late to see your brother!?" He said, stuffing books into her saddlebags. "MY BROTHER!?" she cried out, knocking her head on the ceiling and waking Rainy up. "Why are you screaming!?" She asked, annoyed. Dracomon rolled on his back and snored some more. She nudged him and he woke up screaming. "WHERE'S THE FIRE!" He screamed, looking around swiftly. "Theres no fire Draco. My brother is apparently at this school right now!" Essence cried out, brushing her mane. She threw open the door and ran into the hallway with FanBeemon in tow. She went down many winding hallways until she saw the familiar entrance doors. She threw them open to see Blue Moon talking with a VERY familiar black pegasus. "NIGHT! What are you doing here!" Essence cried out, running at Night. "I was looking for you. We're going home, our parents are most likely worried sick about us right now." He said, scowling at his sister. "B-but why? I already have so many friends and, I just got here yesterday..." Essence said, Giving Night her best puppy dog eyes. "Not the eyes Essence... Please. Grraaah! Fine, You can stay," Night said, Ruffling Essence's mane. "YAY!" "But, I'm staying here to. That invitation was for both of us." "Awww..." Essence said, pouting. "Listen... You're my little sister... I can't let things go and happen to you. Besides if mom knew you were alone, she would kill me." Night said. "Well, now that we got that sorted, We should go have have some breakfast while I get Night Wing into the system. Essence wing, you go on ahead." Blue Moon said, walking Essence and Night into the building. Shortly behind them was Night's Dracomon and FanBeemon. Inside the cafeteria, Essence joined Rainy at the end of the table. she placed her bowl of oatmeal in front of her seat and sat down, depressed. "Whats up?" Dracomon said, eating something that looked like dog food. "Nothing... Just my brother is staying here... And he's being overprotective... as usual..." Essence said between bites of oatmeal. "Ooh, There's nothing worse than an overprotective brother." Said a voice beind Essence. Behind her was Lightning Blast. He was laughing at his own joke, but he soon cleared his throat and sat down next to Essence and Rainy. "Aren't you supposed to be at the teacher's table?" Rainy said, turning away from her book. "Nah, I thought I would let the new mare fit in. Things can be pretty tough at D.A. Plus your first course tomorrow is mine." He said, floating his meal over with his aqua blue magic. Essence ignored him and started to munch on her apple. Soon she felt something splatter all over her mane. She picked bits of balloon out of her mane as she turned swiftly around to see a group of mares and stallions laughing. There was one in particular who was laughing the hardest. It was a bright red unicorn stallion. He had a Pink cloud that looked like it was raining chocolate milk. "Just Ignore Prank Storm. His talent is pranks so not much we can do to him." Lightning said, casually eating his meal. Essence sighed as FanBeemon came over and sat on the table. "ESSENCE!! I'm hungry..." He whined. "Go over to Digitamamon. He's the one who prepares all the Digimon food, Well with the exception of RedVeggiemon and Veggiemon." Dracomon said, munching on his food. FanBeemon buzzed over to an egg shaped digimon. He was busy ordering some Veggiemon around as they worked to create a weird sort of pellets. Essence watched him as he buzzed over and started talking to a weird digimon. "So, Essence I was wondering, you said you live in Japone right?" Lighting asked. She nodded. "How can you speak normal equestrian and not Japonese?" "Oh, That's because I was born in Cloudsdale and I lived there for about 15-ish years of my life. I can speak a bit of Japonese but... I'm not good so I normally don't go out and talk too much..." She said. "And, last question, Why do some ponies cal it Japone and others call it neighpon?" "Oh that's because it's seperated into to sections. Japone is the right half of Equestria and Neighpon is on the left half, and is the more popular tourist spot. A grey alicorn shouted at a blue unicorn. He cowered in fear and said "B-but S-sir H-hades...." "I WANT NO FAILURE NEXT TIME!" He shouted in a voice that could rival the royal canterlot voice. He swiftly nodded and ran as fast as he could away from his master. The alicorn walked through a door and looked at himself in the mirror. He stared at his reflection as his dark purple eyes glittered with dark magic. He grabbed a rag and polished his slightly curved horn. He thre the rag in the corner and levitated a brush in his blood red aura and started to brush his blood red mane, which he had accented by some deep purple. His tail was the same shade and hue. His cutiemark was a bit different, however, It was a circle with lines that looked like a two triangles overlapping each other, or in other words, a summoning circle. Hades looked up and started to brush the soft layer of fuzz that covered his demonic bat-like wings. He pulled his head up and smiled as he saw a small note be slipped under his door. Using his magic he grabbed it and read it. "Perfect..." He said, drawing out his vowels. Side chapter 2: New StudentMoon Tear was walking out of the teacher's lounge. She had eaten her morning breakfast and had wished her son a good day. Even though she was a threstral, she had her own duties after left the night guard. She walked into the tech lab and greeted Blue Moon. "Ah, Moon! I want to talk to you after school about Crescent's training and grades. But anyways, You're on digital energy duty today. Report when a new Digidestined or a new tamer is detected. Ok?" He instructed. "On it." She said, walking to the familiar magical detecting equipment. She looked at the paper that was printing out and saw surges coming from the island. "Firey Fastball!" Something yelled as a massive fireball came shooting in the window, barely singeing a couple wings and horns. Moon looked out the window and saw a orange pegasus and a red dragon type digimon being surounded by wild Doggymon. Even though this island was in the real world, wild digimon could very easily find a crack into this world and run in. Moon Tear quickly flew down and kicked a doggymon away from the poor pegasus. Even though she had a digimon, it was still very injured. "What's your name?!" S he asked urgently to the scared pegasus. "P-Penny whistle... And that's shouty." She said, pointing a hoof at the digimon. "It's short for Shoutmon- AUUGH!" He cried as he got attacked again. "ROCK AND ROLLER!!!" Shouty shouted, enraged. He hit away all the doggymon that jumped at him. A doggymon leaped torward Moon, and moon quickly jumped back. "If only shade was here!" She shouted over the commotion. "Darkness wave!" a familiar voice shouted. From a large crack came a black demonic digimon, who suddenly cast a wave of batlike creatures at the doggymon, causing them to run away. "S-shade..." Moon said, tearing up a bit. "Oh hello, Moon. Long time, No see. How's life been treating you." Shade said, floating over. "I-Is that LadyDevimon?!" Shouty said, before collapsing from exhaustion. "We better get your digimon some help Penny." Moon said. Penny nodded as shade picked Shouty up and carried him inside. A few minutes later.... Penny Whistle sat besides her injured shoutmon as the nurse bandaged him up. Penny looked to the hallway, waiting for Moon to come back. "Yes, I'll be there in time for lunch Crescent, Don't worry... I'll be there soon..." Moon said from outside the hallway. Penny turned her attention away and back to her shoutmon. "Ugh... What happened..." He said, rubbing his head. "You fainted." Shade said from the shadows. "Wait... So I didn't dream that LadyDevimon..." Shoutmon said, a hint of fear in his voice. "Yup. I'm as real as you are an idiot." She said with a smirk on her face. Shoutmon jumped up and shouted "What's that supposed to mean!!???" Shade just laughed and disappeared back into the shadowy corner. Moon walked in and said "Well, good news is, I just talked to Blue Moon and he said you can stay here or you can go home, without shoutmon, which is the bad news. But, If you do stay, you'll get the necessary training to become more closer with him and also to help defend against attacks like in the forest. Penny held Shoutmon tight and said "I want to stay with shouty... I can handle whatever you throw at me! Just let me stay!" Moon smiled and said "Sure, Blue Moon said it was ok. If you see my son, Cresent Blade anywhere, make sure you say hi to him... He's been acting a bit strange... I think he has his eye on somepony. If you know what I mean.." Penny giggled a bit and said "Sure thing... I never got your name... did I?" "It's Moon Tear Nocturnis. Just call me Mrs tear though... I'll be your beginners dueling teacher, so I'll see you then." She said, walking out with Shade materializing behind her. "Its good to be back, Moon." She said. "Its good to have you back..." Moon said, smiling. Penny walked into the hall and was soon bumped into by a different dragon digimon, who was covered head to toe in mud. "So sorry but Rainy is trying to give me a bath! Gotta go!!!" It said as it ran off. "DRACOMON!! GET BACK HERE!!" A blue earth pony shouted as she ran down the hallway after the speeding digimon. "What's with them?" Shouty said, laughing a bit. "I don't know... Hey, did you happen to catch where we were supposed to sleep?" Penny asked Shouty. He shrugged and watched as a brown unicorn with an electric blue mane and tail dragged the same dracomon down the hallway with a electric blue aura. It was being pushed by a digimon that was looked like a deer with a helmet floating on a cloud. The blue mare ran ahead, shouting something about drawing the bath. There was silence before shouty broke it by breaking into laughter. END OF PART ONE!!! wait wait wait... THAT'S IT???!!! Uhh Yes shoutmon.... I need a break too sometimes... But... What about all that card stuff and digimodify and the fight??? ... Next side chapter. But bui bu- GET OUT OF THIS STUDIO SHOUTMON!! Chapter Five: this isn't drama class!Essence yawned as she walked alongside Night to their first class; Digimon 101. "Why are you here again?" She whined at Night. "To protect you." He said, sternly. Essence sighed as she pushed the door to the classroom open. Inside was ponies and digimon of different types. She reconized some from the cafeteria but she had no idea what the names were. "Welcome! Come take a seat!" Said a cheery voice from behind the desk. It was a red unicorn mare with brown oval glasses. She had an orange mane that was cut down to the start of her thigh. It had a light streak of peach in it as well. her tail was the same colors but it was more wavy than straight. Her cutie mark was a cloud with a rainbow tailing behind it, with a sun just emerging behind it. "I'll be your teacher for this class, My name is sunset storm. But you can call me Mrs. storm, sunny or anything else. I don't really mind." Sunset said, welcoming the two pegasi into the class. They nodded and sat down in the only two available seats. Essence looked to her left and saw Crescent was sitting there beside her. She blushed a bit and waved. Crescent did the same, his cheeks growing a deeper shade of red. "Who is that?" Night whispered to Essence. "Just... a friend..." she whipered in reply, her cheeks still full glow. "Then why are you blushing?" He whispered back. She quicky turned away and decided to focus on the teacher. "Now who would like to tell us what their digimon partner's attribute is?" She asked. One pony raised her hoof. "Would anypony besides Rainy days like to tell us what their partner's attribute is?" She asked again, ignoring the hoof. Again the hoof was still up but this time a claw came out of the sea of ponies, griffons and a few dragon hybrids. "Ah Gilda! So nice for you to volunteer." Sunset said, clapping her hooves together. "Psh. Whatever." She said, walking up with a very strange digimon behind her. "This is Stryke. He's a Strikedramon " She said, turning torward the class. "He's a vaccine attribute, but in my opinion he's better at being a virus Attribute." She said, the last part under her breath. Stryke roared as to demonstrate her point. They both turned around and went back to their seats. Stryke was a bit too big to fit so he stood at the back. "All right, Thank you gilda, This brings us to our lesson of the day: Digimon Attributes." Sunset said, levitating a piece of chalk in a chocolate brown aura. She wrote the word Attributes on the board. "Now who can tell me the three main attributes?" She asked. It seemed like Rainy got the message and kept her hoof down this time. A grey hoof shot into the air. "Lucky Clover?" The stallion it was attached to stood up. "The three main attributes are Vaccine, Virus and Data... Right?" He said, his voice wavering with worry. "Don't worry Lucky, You got it right. Take a seat please." Lucky sat down, relieved. Essence silently applauded him, she felt like it was the right thing to do. Sunset proceeded to write the attributes on the board. "As you may or may not know, these attributes counter each other in a way. Vaccine attribute digimon are weaker against data digimon than they are against virus. Virus digimon are weaker to vaccine digimon than they are to data. Data is weaker to virus than to vaccine. The most dangerous of the bunch would be virus digimon. There are some that are nice, like Guilmon for instance, but all virus digimon share the same trait: When they get angry, nothing will stop them until they get their prize. Or they're defeated, which ever comes first." Sunset explained. Essence wrote this down with fascination. "But, there are some digimon that are classified as virus, but are harmless as a data type. Such as, FanBeemon. These digimon are scavengers, they are the same as worker bees when called on by a queen. Except when a tamer has one. They are classified as virus because to repair a hive, they use natural and stolen data. That mean's they will get it by any means nessesary." Sunset said, writing a few points on the chalkboard. "Unfortunately... No one in this school has seen a tamed FanBeemon." She ended. When FanBeemon heard this he zoomed out of Essence's saddlebags. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE TAKE IT BY ANY MEANS NESSESARY!?" He screamed at sunset. "Oh no... FanBeemon..." Essence groaned and slammed her head repeatedly into the desk. "Essence is my tamer and I may have not been in a hive for long... or ever for that fact but..." He said, not having anything to counter with. "Oh... My..." Sunset gasped. Fanbeemon hovered back to Essence and landed on her desk. All eyes turned toward Essence. "FanBeemon..." Essence groaned. "What?" He chirped. "You're name is Essence right?" Sunset asked. Essence nodded and said "Essence Wing, Sister to Night Wing." "Don't get me Involved." Night said, roughly. "Right, Essence, can you step up to the front, please?" Sunset said. Essence followed her instructions. "Please tell us how you managed to tame a FanBeemon. If you don't mind of course." Sunset Storm asked. "Uh, Sure. He came to me as an egg. End of story. May I sit down?" Essence said. Sunset nodded. (TO BE CONTINUED, BECAUSE I'M TIRED EVEN THOUGH IT'S 8 AT NIGHT) Chapter six: Attack on campus!Essence walked out in the hallway after class was finished. She kept getting strange looks from the other ponies and creatures as she walked out, most of them directed at FanBeemon. "Hey! Dweeb!" Said a voice as Esssence turned around to greet it. "Uh, Hi?" She said. "Name's Gilda, and I won't have any new mare come and get more popular than me! Got it?!" Gilda Shrieked in Essence's face. "Well.. Uh, We won't! So, Nice-" Essence said as she turned away. Gilda put a claw on her back and said "You're not off the hook just yet, Me, You, bring your digimon. We're settling this with a duel after class." Strikedramon suddenly had a insane grin form on his face. "Don't be late, otherwise that's a forfeit!" Gilda yelled as she sauntered away, eager to show Essence who's the most popular here. "Is CorruptedUnimon ready?" Hades shouted from atop a platform. "Ready sir!" Yelled a little blue dinosaur holding a M16 Assault rifle. "Good... Comandramon? Get Huckmon for me. He needs to see this to grow a backbone. " Hades said. "Sir yes sir!" Commandramon shouted as he ran down a hallway. Hades watched as a large Alicorn-like digimon was escorted out by many pegasi and earth ponies. The digimon had a pitch black helmet and his wings were torn and a bloody red color. He was struggling to escape but every time he would be shot with a stun spell from a few unicorns hanging in the shadows. "NEEEEIIIIGH WHY MUST I SUFFER???" He cried out, obviously insane. Hades smiled coldy as he swept his hoof out toward the door, signaling for the attack. CorruptedUnimon whinnied and flew out the giant door. "L-Lord Hades?" A small voice cried out. Essence moaned as she found out her locker was 3 away from Gilda's. The griffin met her with a cold glare and a grin. She slammed her locker and walked away, flicking her tail behind her. "Why does this happen to me..." Essence moaned, hitting her head against her locker door. Suddenly a huge boom sounded out and shook the entire school. Red lights flared with magic as teachers escorted their students outside. Essence saw Lighting and Rainy running outside. She and night followed, as well as the digimon. What they saw attacking, was terrifying. "IS THAT AS UNIMON?!" Rainy's dracomon screeched. "I-i think it is Draco." Rainy said. "Draco?" He deadpanned. "Yeah, I since there is more than one Dracomon at this school, why not call you Draco?" Rainy explained. "Fine... Just take out your digivice and digivolve me so I can kick some tail..." Draco said, facepalming. "Fine... DIGIVOLVE!" Rainy called out as she held up a blue and white digivice. "Dracomon digivolve to... Coredramon!" He ran as fast as he could and jumped into the sky, taking off. "Woah! Coredramon green!" Lightning gasped. "Well, that was unexpected..." Rainy muttered. "Since Draco has digivolved into Coredramon green, he won't be as good in the air. Night! Digivolve your dracomon with your digivice!" Lightning cried out. Night pulled out a green and black digivice and watched as DIGIVOLUTION scrolled across the screen. "Uh, Ok Digivolve?" He said. Nothing happened. "You got to put your heart and soul into it. There has to be trust between a tamer and their digimon for them to digivolve." Lightning informed Night. He rolled his eyes and shouted "DIGIVOLVE." There was a slight delay before Night's Dracomon began to glow. "Dracomon Digivolve to... Coredramon!" Night stood there in amazment as his Coredramon sped into the air, trying to catch up with Draco. "Can I help essence?!" FanBeemon asked eagerly. "I'm sorry FanBeemon, Three champions against one champion seems like it would delete the digimon. We only want to calm it down and sent it home." Lightning explained. Fanbeemon sighed and buzzed onto Essence's back. Both Night and Rainy galloped over to where their digimon were battling. "COREDRAMON!" Draco shouted as he began to sink lower and lower. "Get him closer to the ground!" Draco shouted again as he fell to the ground with a deafening crash. "Alright!" Coredramon shouted as he zoomed higher until he got above Unimon. "Blue Flare Breath!" He cried out as he spat out a stream of blue flames. "Aerial Attack!" Unimon shouted as he launched a big sphere of energy to counter the flames. They pushed against each other for a while until Coredramon put a bit more energy behind his Blue Flare Breath attack. The flames burst the sphere and it continued on until it hit Unimon's wings. Unimon screamed as he fell on the ground with a thump. "Right now It's my turn! Strike Bomber!" Yelled Draco. He ran forward at full speed and jumped over Unimon, having his tail slash at him. Unimon screamed in pain and started to thrash about. "This is very unusual behavior for a vaccine type..." Lightning muttered. Lighting lit his horn and used his lighting magic to trap Unimon in a cage of lighting. "HEHEHEE!!! PRETTY LITTLE PONIES WON'T STOP HAAADEEEEESSSS AND CORRUPTUNIMON!" Unimon cackled as he thrashed around, shocking himself whenever he would slam into a wall. "What is the matter with this Unimon?!" Rainy said, agitated. Both Coredramons dropped behind their partners, Prepared to attack if needed. "Rainy! Essence! Find Blue Moon. This is very important!" Lighting grunted. Keeping the cage up was beginning to strain his magic so Essence and Rainy knew they had to find him quickly. To be continued... Side Chapter 3: Eons ago. Author's note As you can tell, this one exists in two time periods; The past and the present. ish. The digimon academy didn't exist here at the past time period. This one was difficult so I'm sorry if it's a bit rough. Eon flipped through a book he found just lying on the ground. His interest was peaked when he found the book mentioned an academy for digimon and tamers. "BlackAgumon, Come see this." He said as his partner ran over. "Yeah? What's that?" BlackAgumon said, pointing a claw at the school. "I don't know, but whoever made this book got the date wrong." Eon said, pointing a hoof at the date in the caption. "It could have come from the future. You never know with us digimon." BlackAgumon simply replied. That got Eon thinking. "So what we going to do?" BlackAgumon asked. "Well, I'm intrigued by this academy, but if it is in the future... How can we get there?" Eon said, picking up some newspaper clipping that he found with the book. All of them mentioned digimon and several ponies working together with them. One picture showed two stallions and two mares with certain digimon fighting a giant digimon that was being comanded by an alicorn with threstal wings. The strangest thing was, there was 5 digimon in the picture, But only four ponies that looked like they were on their side. "Well, Since you're a unicorn can't you do some kind of time travel spell?" BlackAgumon suggested. "No, and even if I could, It's only for brief visits to the future. Plus you can only cast it once per pony. I'd rather not waste it for a short trip to prove useless." Eon explained. Suddenly a wierd whirring sound came from nowhere as a blue box materialized in his house. A dusty brown stallion walked out of the box, coughing. His cutie mark was still covered by dust but it was still able to be seen that it was a hourglass. "Why would the tardis bring me here?!" He shouted at the box. "BlackAgumon! Hide!" Hissed Eon. BlackAgumon dived into the nearest hiding spot he could find. "Oh hello! What's your name?" The stallion said happily, despite his box was smoking. "E-eon." Eon stuttered out. "Ah well Eon my friend! Is there any trouble, problems or dilemmas going about?" The strange pony asked. "Well.. Me and my partner are trying to get to this academy. In the future." Eon told the stallion. The stallion put his hoof to his chin and thought. "Oh I know! I could take you there!" The stallion said, gesturing to the smoking box. "Uh. No offense but, that's just a box with a unicorn doing effects." Eon said. BlackAgumon peeked out from behind his hiding spot and looked the stallion over. He could sense that there was something fishy going on with the box and the stallion. "What? Oh no, You got it all wrong! Just get your partner and follow me!" The pony said, turning toward the box. "Uh even so, it's still smoking." "Ah yes, That would be a problem..." The pony muttered. He walked into the box and closed the door, preventing any smoke from getting out. A second later he opened the doors and less smoke was flying out. "Well, why are you standing there? C'mon! Grab whoever is with you!" The stallion said, getting impatient. "Well, uh, you're not going to take him away?" Eon said. "Sure, now hurry up! Before it breaks again!" Eon levitated BlackAgumon from his hiding spot and ran into the box. He ignored the fact that the box was bigger on the inside than the outside and gave the stallion the book. "Interesting" The stallion muttered and spun some knobs and pulled some levers. The box groaned and wheezed before stopping completely. Eon stepped out of the box, Shocked to find that he's in a new place. He turned around to thank the stallion, but the box was already gone. "Well, atleast he was kind." BlackAgumon said. "BOO!" Yelled a digimon that just suddenly swung out from above the two. Eon and BlackAgumon flinched and stared at the digimon. "Aw come on! You weren't scared at all?!" The digimon yelled. "Haze! Where are you!?" Someone shouted. Eon looked behind the digimon, still hanging upside down, and saw a grey unicorn with dark red glasses hiding red eyes. He had a purple striped vest on and his cutie mark was of two black colored rings, circling around a ball of lightning. Dusk P Volt was having an average day, He was waiting for the bonfire tonight and trying to find his Gazimon, Haze. No doubt he was pestering prank storm to teach him new pranks. He saw the red unicorn who had a bottle of superglue and was gluing a locker down. "Uh.. Prank!" Dusk shouted, causing prank to fumble the bottle in his aura. Dusk winced and automatically regretted his decision. "Oh it's just you, Dusk... Whadda want now?!" Prank snapped. "Sorr-Sorry to bug you.. But have you se-seen Haze?" Dusk explained, hoping it wouldn't blow up in his face. "No I haven't seen that rat you call a digimon. Have you checked outside?!" Prank snapped at him again. The woodmon behind him filled the air with laughter. Dusk retreated back and continued out the nearest exit. "Haze!?" Dusk called out. He saw a bushy tail start going into the forest. "Haze!?" He called again, following the tail. He followed the tail for a bit until he heard a someone say 'BOO!' He started to walked over that way. "Haze! Where are you?!" He called out again. He rounded the corner to see an peach colored unicorn with a white coat on standing with a BlackAgumon. Haze was hanging above them so it's pretty obvious that he was trying to prank them. "Haze. C-come back... It's time for class." Dusk said, levitating Haze away from the strange unicorn. "Aw but.. I was having fun~" Haze wined a bit. "I'm sorry but I really don't want to get another tardy on my record because of you. If it makes it better, I'll let you stuff yourself until you decay of digi-bytes tonight." Dusk bargained. "Fine." haze agreed. What Dusk and Haze didn't notice was Eon and BlackAgumon followed them all the way back, mostly because they were curious. It wasn't until Blue Moon came to investigate that they were brought into the program and set up until the present. They never did figure out what those 5 digimon were doing in the picture. THA END!!!! :D Chapter seven: Corrupt digimon?!Essence and rainy galloped into the crowd of ponies and digimon, Draco, still Coredramon, and FanBeemon following swiftly. "Blue Moon!" They each called as they parted through the crowd. They spotted the blue unicorn talking to a bunch of ponies and digimon. "Blue moon!" Essence cried, gathering the attention of the old unicorn. "What is it?" He asked hastily "Lighting Blast wants to see you! Something about the Unimon that was attacking." Rainy explained. Blue moon raised an eyebrow and began his way over there. Essence and rainy followed with their digimon as well. They stopped to see lighting on the ground, the lighting cage barely holding. Blue Moon lit his horn and suddenly the lightning cage turned into a metal cage. "T-thanks..." Lighting panted. "No problem. Now let's see what's wrong with Unimon." Blue moon said, helping Lighting up. The unimon kept smashing into the bars, trying to weaken them further. Blue moon looked at the unimon and gasped. "It's had it code rewritten somehow..." He said softly. "That explains the black helmet and the red wings.... That does also explains it's behaivor." Lightning said. There was a flash of light as the two Dracomon digivolved back to their rookie forms. "But how does a digimon get it's code rewritten?" Essence asked. "They die, basically. Their data at that point can be changed in anyway it wants. It's how a digimon is reborn as a digiegg when defeated in the digital world after all..." Blue Moon explained. The digimon all looked down while the ponies reacted in a very different way. "That's horrible! Who would kill digimon just to do this to them!?" Essence shouted, enraged. Unimon answered her question by shouting "HAAAAAAAAADDDDDEEEEEeeEeeEeEASSSS~!" Blue Moon's face paled. "He's back?" He muttered. Huckmon crept back in his room after witnessing that horrifying display of digimon cruelity through his Master's magic. "I wish I had a master who wasn't this cruel." Huckmon muttered as he laid down on the pillow that was given to him to sleep on. His room was really comandramon's room with a pillow in the corner. But still, Hades promised him he would be treated as well as he wanted to be treated. "He's doing this for the best... Right?" he muttered to himself. "HUCKMON! GET YOUR METAL TAIL OUT HERE NOW!" Comandramon's voice rang out from the hallway. Huckmon sighed and said "Co~ming!" And marched out the door. Classes ensued as usual for the group of 4 ponies, besides that half of the classes were canceled due to a certain digimon attack. So basically, the ponies got the rest of the days to themselves. "Hey FanBeemon?" Essence said, lazing around on her bed. "Hm?" "I was feeling like you need a nickname. I mean everypony does it in this school." "Hm." He simply replied again. "How about Wasp? Or Stripes?" "Wasp sounds good." "Are you ok?" Essence said, flying down to the chair where FanBeemon was. "I'm worried OK? Wouldn't you if other creatures you knew were being destroyed and then remade?" He said. Essence wrapped her wings around him and said "Don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt you. Be it digimon or pony." "Thanks. I'm glad we're partners." "Me too..." Over in the boys area, Night was getting used to living in a dorm. There was mostly mares here, because we all know that there is more mares than stallions in equestria, so he got his own dorm room. Most stallions had roommates but somehow they had one left that was empty. "So, since there is two dracomon, Mind callin' me ace?" Dracomon said, a smirk pasted on his face. "Fine." Night said. "Jeez, You never smile do you?" Ace said. Night remained quiet. "Fine... Don't talk to me... See if I care." Ace said. The door suddenly swung open to see a shocked Crescent Blade standing in the doorway. "What are you doing in my room!?" He asked Night. "I was assigned this room. Blue Moon never told me anything about roomates." "Roommates?!" Crescent said, shocked. "Apparently we're roommates now so get used to it." Night said. Nightfury looked out from behind his trainer and said "Should we tell Blue Moon?" "He's busy with the Unimon. We'll tell him later..." Crescent said entering the room and closing the door after nightfury came through. Lightning paced back and forth in the lab. "ugh... When is going to come through..." He muttered. "Relax lightning... Momentai." Tapirmon said. "I see you went back to using that phrase." lightning said, laughing. "It's not my fault that one Terriermon told me that." He said, laughing as well. "Well, I guess not." Lightning said. Suddenly a red light lit up in the room "What!?" He rushed over. The magical machine spat out paper filled with lines to the brim. "A new digidestined..." He gasped. Chapter Eight: Royal monarch visitEssence sighed as she took one last flight around the school. It's been a couple of days since the attack and nopony had cracked the mystery behind the Unimon. worse, the upper floors were still damaged somewhat. What she did spot was a royal carriage landing with a cage expansion but that was usually used to transport prisoners. It landed on walkway of the school as a mass of ponies began to flood out of the doors and from outside. Essence flew down and spotted her friends and landed next to them. Wasp hovered lazily next to Rainy as Essence landed. "Essence! What's going on?!" He cried out in terror. "I have no idea..." She muttered. The carriage doors opened to reveal a white alicorn, a midnight blue alicorn, a smaller purple alicorn, and a pink alicorn. "The monarchs of Equestria..." Rainy gasped and followed everypony as bowed in their own respective ways. The digimon just stared, awestruck on the powerful monarchs of equestria. From a seprate carriage six other ponies stepped out, a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane, a pink earth pony with a poofy pink mane, a orange earth pony with a yellow mane tied up in a ponytail, a white unicorn with a purple swirled mane, a yellow pegasus with a light pink mane and finally, a grey pegasus with a yellow mane and crossed eyes. "The elements..." Crescent said, slightly shocked. Following the grey pegasus was a sort of dog-like animal. "Is it me or does that dog look like a digimon?" Draco asked. "Labramon." Nightfury answered. "Huh?" Draco asked in reply. Nightfury shook his head and said "Labramon is dog kind of digimon. They're supposed to be loyal and pretty tough. It doesn't look like most of these ponies know about Labramon. He's lucky he's not a different digimon. That would have caused a panic in the town she comes from." "Oh..." The white alicorn, or otherwise known as Princess Celestia, stepped up to a the crowd and guestured to rise. She stared out on to the sea of digimon and ponies. "My little ponies, I've received a letter saying something about a 'Viral Digimon'? And not one of normal?" She asked. Several ponies started talking before the blue alicorn's, otherwise known as Princess Luna, horn shone a light blue aura and a high pitched whistle sound emitted from it. "Thank you Luna," Celestia said before turning and facing the group of scientists who just came beside her. "How does Princess Celestia know about digimon?" Essence asked aloud. "Princess Celestia is the one who made this school possible. Princess Luna might have been the first pony to get a digimon. We don't know though..." Rainy informed Essence. "Oh, But I'm guessing Princess Twilight and Princess Cadenza doesn't know. Nor do the elements." Essence said. "She prefers to be called Princess Cadence, though..." Rainy pointed out. "Oh." Celestia turned to speak to Twilight and Cadence before she left with luna, following the scientist. When the princesses were gone, the crowd began to disperse as a few ponies began to migrate over to where the elements are and the princesses. however, a pegasus and two griffons, including Gilda, were walking over to the grey mare. "We better go see what's going on." Rainy said. The group nodded and walked torwards the mare. ~~(-0-)~/|~(-0-)~~ "L-leave me alone..." Ditzy Doo cried out as the griffin she reconized as Gilda tossed her Labramon around. "Aw is poor wittle Derp eyes gonna cry to her mommy?" a griffon with black feathers on his head and deep brown fur teased her. "Ditzy! Don't worry I can- Oof- Take them!" Her labramon cried out as he got tossed to the electric yellow pegasus and back to the black feathered griffon. "Biscuit!" She cried as he got tossed to Gilda's strikedramon. "Ha! It's been a while since a dweeb like you has come around!" Gilda cackled. "Pyro grenade!" Nightfury yelled as he shot a missle of black fire towards strikedramon. It struck the strikedramon right in the shoulder, causing him to drop Biscuit. "Ditzy!" He yelled as he ran into her open hooves. "What!?" Gilda yelled. "You shouldn't pick on innocent digimon, or ponies who have medical problems. It's just not right." Crescent said. The three laughed and the pegasus said "What are you gonna do nerd?! Read us a comic book?!" "I wouldn't say that Jumpstart." Nightfury lit his mouth up again with gastly black fire. Strikedramon stepped in the way and smirked. Crescent held up his digivice and shouted "DIGIVOLVE!" "Blackguilmon digivolve to... BlackGrowlmon!" The griffon whistled with and a Floramon stepped out from the bushes. The griffon held up a digivice in his claw and shouted "DIGIVOLVE!" "Floramon digivolve to... Ninjamon!" Jumpstart knew that they were at a disadvantage so he quickly took to the air, back to the cloud dorms. "Oh no you don't!" Night yelled as he and Essence took to the sky to follow. Rainy stayed back to help Ditzy up. "Biscuit... We need to help!" Ditzy said. Biscuit nodded and jumped on the ninjamon. "Retriever....G!" Biscuit roared in the ninjamon's face, knocking him back. "Ninja Knife Throwing!" Ninjamon threw a giant throwing star at Biscuit, who unfortunately was a tiny bit too slow to dodge. His tail got caught in the blade and got pinned to a tree. "NO!" Ditzy cried, galloping over to Labramon. "Exhaust Flame!" Nightfury yelled, stream of fire spewing from his mouth. Strikedramon dodged then continued to strike at him. Nightfury kept striking back as well. Suddenly a golden glow erupted from the ground near ditzy. In the glow's place was a grey digivice. It had the words DIGIVOLUTION scrolling across. "Huh?" Ditzy said, picking the digivice up. "Hold it up and shout Digivolve with all your heart." Rainy instructed. Ditzy nodded and yelled "DIGIVOLVE!!!" "Labramon digivolve to... Seasarmon!" Biscuit pulled out the throwing star and tossed it at the Ninjamon. The ninjamon caught it and stuck it on it's back. "TEE DIA!!" Biscuit shouted, sending a rain of arrows down on the Ninjamon, catapulting it back and reverting it back to Floramon. The griffon ran forward and caught his digimon as it fell, then flew off. "COWARD!" Gilda screamed at him. "Shall we finish this, Biscuit?" Nightfury asked Biscuit. He nodded. "TEE DIA!" "EXHAUST BREATH!" "STRIKE FANG!" Strikedramon charged forward, getting hit by the fire and the arrows. But before he could hit them he was sent flying back the force of the combined attacks. He landed on the ground, reverting back to his rookie form, Monodramon. Gilda grabbed him and scoffed. "You're all lucky that you won. You won't be next time..." She hissed and flew off. "What was her deal?" Lightning said as he walked torwards the group. "You have no idea..." Rainy said. Ditzy grabbed her digimon as he reverted back to Labramon and walked up to Crescent. "Thanks for saving me. I'm Ditzy Doo... Though my friends always call me Derpy Hooves." She introduced herself, holding out her hoof. "Crescent Blade. This is Nightfury." He said, taking the hoof and shaking. Nightfury just nodded. "I'm Rainy Days and this is Draco!" Rainy said, holding out her hoof. Ditzy took it and shook it. Draco shook her hoof as well. "I'm Lightning Blast and the two that flew off were Essence and Night Wing. Oh this is also Tapirmon." As if on cue, Essence and Night landed beside them. "He got away..." Night said, roughly. "Well, too bad. I'd better check up on the Princesses. If you need anything Ditzy, Just ask." Lighting said, galloping off. Ditzy waved goodbye as she turned around. "We better get you settled into a dorm then, Ditzy!" Essence said, gleefully. Ditzy smiled as she was greeted by all the students who were attracted by the fight. Today was a good day for the Derp eyed mare. Chapter nine: Something witty about love.Essence yawned as she woke up to a very rainy day, and not the kind she was living with. "Darn..." She muttered. Essence flew down to the floor to wake up rainy was gone. However, there was a note on the table. She picked it up and read it. Essence, I won't be here when you wake up because I wanted to show Ditzy around before the rainstorm that was scheduled today hit. I should be done by the time you see this so meet me in the mess hall. Rainy. (And draco!) She put the note back and shook wasp. "Mmm... Five more minutes..." He muttered and turned on his side. "What a lazy digimon..." Essence said, picking him up. She put him on her back and started to make her way down to the mess hall/Cafeteria. "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO MAKE SURE THAT THOSE PRISSY PRINCESSES DON'T GET INVOLVED!" Hades roared at a group of ponies. "W-we tried b-but they caught on quick!" A white pegasus stallion with a blue mane said, cowering under the gaze of his master. "... I'm sick of ponies who are idiots... Send them to get their memories erased and dump them in a random part of equestria. Preferably the Everfree." Hades order a couple digimon. "NO WAIT PLEAAASEE!" The stallion yelled as he was dragged away by the digimon. There were zaps and screams as the ponies tried to resist. "Don't worry... It won't hurt... It'll drive you insane..." He said, laughing viciously. Huckmon watched from around the corner as his master forced those ponies to their doom. He turned towards the hallway, then to an open door. He shook his head and sprinted down the hallway and down a secret floor tile. Essence walked down the staircase leading to the bottom floor and looked around. It was saturday, but where was everypony? She walked down a hallway leading to a room with a sign taped over it. It read: 'Club registration' "Huh... Wadda know..." She muttered to herself. She peeked in the window and saw a huge room with lots of ponies, hybrids and griffons either running stands or signing papers. Lighting was standing at a booth directly straight ahead that read 'Magic lessons.' "This must be how the we get the outside education... I guess..." She muttered to herself. "Oh h-hey Essence..." A voice said behind her. Essence turned around and saw her nose to nose with Crescent. "OHMYGOSH I'M SO SORRY!" She blurted out, blushing madly. "No It's my fault!" Crescent blurted out as well, his face equally on fire. There was a silence between the two as they just stared at the ground. "S-so... *Cough* What did you n-need?" Essence said, breaking the silence. "O-oh right! Uh.. I was coming to ask if you w-were going to sign up for anything." He said. "Uh... I really don't know... I mean... I've got alot going on.. and..." She lied, hoping to move this awkward conversation to the trash. "It's ok, I'm really not sure if there's any clubs I like either." He said, laughing a bit. Essence smiled and laughed as well. "Hm... WHERE AM I?!" Wasp yelled as he suddenly woke up. "Wasp calm down! It's ok!" Essence shouted at him, her cheeks growing beet red again. Crescent chuckled a bit at that. 'OH MY CELESTIA HIS LAUGH!! It's so adorable!!!' Essence couldn't help but think. *Pomf* Essence's wings suddenly stuck straight up at that thought. Essence's eyes met Crescents. 'Oh... PONYFEATHERS!!!' She thought. The staring intensified as both their cheeks grew a deeper red. "MEEP!" She squeaked as she flew out of there, speeds rivaling the sonic rainboom. "What did I miss?" Nightfury asked as he returned from somewhere. "Uh... Much.." Crescent said, dreamily. Essence sat up on a beam she found no one but pegasi or flying digimon could find. Must have been put in for that purpose. "Ooh... Why were Pegasi cursed to have those..." She muttered to herself, her cheeks still full flare. "Essence?" A voice said. "Not now Night..." She said, hoping he would go away. "Ok... Who's the lucky stallion?" He said, sounding a bit different. "Night, are you... Smiling?" Essence teased, poking her head upside down. Sure enough she could see the smallest of grins. "Ok you got me, The royal guard inside me has broken." He said, laughing. Essence giggled and flew down, leaving Wasp on his own. She quickly hugged her brother and dug her face in his soft fur. "Y'know... Hearth's Warming Eve is coming up. Any idea what to get that special somepony?" He teased. "Stop it!!!" Essence said, pushing away from him. They shared a laugh and essence said "I have an idea what to get Rainy though." "Oh yeah? What?" "It's a secret! I know you'll tease her about it, and she'll do anything to get it out." Essence said. "Wow, it hasn't been a week and you already know everything about her?" Night replied. "No, it's how she sort of acted on the first day." Essence simply said. "Well, I'm going out for a second. Don't get into any trouble, ya hear?" Night said, playfully pushing essence. "I get it, I get it... I better go find Rainy and Ditzy. They should be back by now... also take a coat. It's still pouring out." Essence said. "Ok." Night said, walking towards the stallion's dorms. Essence flew back up to the area where she left Wasp to find him asleep. Again. "What am I going to do with you..." She sighed. She picked him up and flew down the hall, back to her dorm. What she didn't know was two eyes were watching from the forest, through the window. "So... This is who's stopping Master Hades? This is too easy..." The being said, disappearing back into the shadows. Chapter Diez: A gift for the seasons! Part numero uno.(I made the chapter title spanish, so what?) Rainy awoke to see Essence was sneaking out of the room. "Now where is she going this late?" Rainy muttered. She gently shook draco, who of course woke up screaming. "Calm down!!" Rainy tried to assure him. "Oh, It's just you Rainy..." Soon there was a soft knock at the door. Draco ran up and opened the door. "Hi rainy!" Ditzy said, walking in. "Oh hello Ditzy! Hello Biscuit!" Rainy said with a smile. "Heya!" Biscuit said, jumping onto draco. "Get offa mee!" He whined. The mares giggled at his little problem. "That's enough, Biscuit." Ditzy said, still giggling a little. "So are you ready?" She added. "Oh yeah! I forgot about shopping!" Rainy cried out, hitting her forehead with a hoof. "Well, We better get going. Lightning told me about a boat that leaves on saturdays and sundays to take ponies to the.... Uh..." She said. "The mainland?" Draco suggested. "Yeah! But, He did tell me that our digimon have to stay behind... for safety sake you know?" Dizty said. "Yes, i know. I've done it before." Rainy said, slipping her saddle bags on. "Oh I'm such an airhead somedays... I'm sorry." Ditzy replied, sadly. "Don't be. Well, we better get going if we want to buy hearth warming gifts for our friends." Rainy said, walking out the door. They arrived at the boat a little later. "Good morning Lightning!" Rainy said, cheerfully. "Oh hey rainy. Good morning Ditzy." He said. "Is Crescent and Night with you?" Rainy asked. "No, But they should be coming soon." Soon enough Night and Crescent came galloping up to the port. "hey night, Hey Crescent." Lighting said. "hey." They both said. "Is Essence with you?" Rainy asked. "No, I haven't seen her." Night said. Crescent's Cheeks turned a light pink as he said "Uh N-nope!" "I saw her flying in the direction of the port, She must have left on the one before this." Lighting said. "She must be shopping for us." Ditzy said. "Or for you guys I mean..." She added, recoiling back a bit. "Now who's to say that you're not our friend?" Rainy said, throwing a hoof on her back. "R-really... I've never had too many friends... Because of my eyes... They all thing I'm stupid or something..." She sniffed. "If the digital world thinks you're amazing enough to have a digimon, Then you must be an amazing mare!" Lighting said. There was a loud foghorn that drowned out what Ditzy said next. "Oh before we leave, I've got something that just came out of the lab today." Lightning said, reaching into his saddle bags. He pulled out four small items that had were each ponies respective digivice colors. "You see that small plug in point... here?" He said, pointing to a small hole beside the antenna. They all nodded. Lightning took a orange one and plugged it into his digivice. The screen lit up before it faded again, emitting a ding sound. "Tapirmon! Release!" He shouted, putting a hoof on top of the item. There was a flash of light before Tapirmon was standing in front of him. "See? Oh, to bring them back into the Digivice, you say your partner's name and download. " He said. "Woah.." They all said. He hoofed over the other ones and the others tried it out. "This so cool! Now we can bring our digimon with us!" Ditzy cried out. "But, Just promise that you won't bring your digimon out, unless it's an emergency." Lightning said. They all shook their heads. "Good, Now then, We should get aboard, I don't think they'll wait any longer." They downloaded their digimon and boarded the boat. An hour later they saw the only big city in japone, Hiroshimare. "Woah, So is this where you live Night?" Lightning asked. "No, We live in Yokoneigha. It's close to Hiroshimare." Night replied. There was a loud, magically produced foghorn as the boat slowed to a stop. "Well, I guess I'd better find Essence." Night said, taking off. "Bye!" A voice called from the digivice. "Huh?" Ditzy said, looking at her digivice. Sure enough, Biscuit was there. "Huh... Well, That's cool..." Ditzy said. "Ditzy! Come on! We gotta get shopping!" Rainy said, pulling Ditzy. "O-ok!" "Ooh Do you think Lightning would like this?" Ditzy said, picking up a pin shaped like a blue lightning bolt. "It looks like his cutie mark, Why not." Rainy said. Ditzy tossed a few bits on the counter and the mare running the stand thanked them. Rainy took it and put it in her saddle bag. "What do you think Lightning would like? I got Essence a necklace that surprisingly had her cutie mark on it, I got night that book, I got you nothing yet... Well that than must mean I got Crescent... Nothing!!!!" She said, panicking at the end. "Relax, I really don't know what he likes but I've seen him out reading comics on a good day. Maybe we can get him some? I know the power ponies are pretty good." Rainy suggested. Ditzy nodded and began to walk to the bookstore. "Do you think Lightning would like this tome?" Rainy said, flipping through a book about electric magic. "Well, it's his cutie mark. He must." Ditzy said, flipping through a power ponies comic. "I'll take it!" They both shouted at the same time. They both stopped and giggled a bit. They payed for their books and walked out. "So, I got Essence, a journal, Night, a book on swordplay, Lightning, A electric magic tome, Crescent, an issue of spidermane, I haven't gotten anything for you yet... What do you like?" Rainy said. "Hmm... Muffins! And baking. You must also stop buying everypony books. We need to get gift for our... you know what... too." Ditzy replied. "Well, then I need to make a quick stop, Do you want to go buy for me?" "Well, I have no idea what you like..." "Well, that's easy! Gardening and books!" Rainy said, tossing ditzy some bits. "Ok, I should probably buy for the... D-I-G-I-M-O-N as well..." Ditzy said. "Same, Meet at the square when we're all done?" Rainy asked. Ditzy nodded and they both ran off. Rainy ran into a small baking store. "Welcome!!" The clerk at the counter said. "May I help you?" She said, coming around the counter. "Uh yeah, Do you have anything on muffins? Or anything related?" Rainy asked. "Well, We have this muffin recipe book. It's twenty bits." She said, running to the back and picking up a book. "Deal." She said, giving the shop keeper twenty bits. "Have a merry hearths warming!" The clerk said, happily. Ditzy ran back to the bookstore and looked down the books about gardening. "How to garden... How to get a cutie mark about gardening... Ah! Plants and you: all about plant species!" Ditzy read off as she picked up a book with a poison joke flower on the cover. She put it on the counter and the clerk checked it out. "Have a merry hearths warming!" He said, waving as ditzy left. She immediately took off for a few other stores. "Oh hey Ditzy! Did I keep you waiting?" Rainy asked cheerfully. "No! I just got here! Are you ready to leave? I picked up some wrapping paper as well, so don't worry." "Good! I totally forgot!" Rainy said, laughing. "I guess the colts will come back when they need too, so we don't have to worry about them barging in." Ditzy said. They shared a laugh as they walked back to the boat. They both went up to ditzy's dorm when they got back to the academy. "Ooh! Why does tape have to be so sticky!" Draco complained as he tried to wrap Wasp's present from rainy. They mares already wrapped their presents and their digimon's presents so they didn't have to worry about them finding out "Here." Ditzy said, untangling his arms. "I used to be a mailmare, so I know how to deal with tape." She said, laughing a bit. "Neato!" Rainy said, setting a present off to the side. The whole room turned and stared at her. "I promise I will never say that again." Rainy said. "Good, I don't think I could take it next time." Draco said. Biscuit suddenly woke up as the smell of gingerbread cookies wafted throughout the dorm. "Ooh! Cookies are ready!" Ditzy said, running to the kitchen. She pulled out four gingerbread ponies from the small oven they all had in their dorms. It was small to reduce the chance of fire. A giant fire was the last thing this school needed. Ditzy put the cookies on four plates and poured three glasses of milk and one bowl. Rainy got up to help when she saw ditzy was struggling. "Thanks." Ditzy said, placing the bowl of milk in front of Biscuit. She placed a cookie as well down in front of him. "This was the best day ever, Ditzy." Rainy said, taking a bite of the gingerbread pony. "Yes, Yes it was." Ditzy said, biting the head off of hers. Chapter Shíyī: A gift for the seasons! Part Hàomǎ Liǎng(Today's lucky language was Chinese! I did use Google translate for it so... yeah... sorry. Also read to when they got onto the boat to make sense of today's chapter) Crescent stepped off the boat and said his goodbyes. "So... It's just you and me?" Night said. "Yep..." Crescent replied dryly. a little while later Night got done with all his shopping. "So. What are you going to get?" Night asked, dryly. "I know you hate me, but jeez... If we're stuck together for the next... 3 hours or so, you could atleast act like you enjoy it." Crescent said. "Fine..." Night sighed. "What's your problem with me anyways??" Crescent asked. "It's.... Essence. I just want to make sure she doesn't get hurt, even if it means I need to be critical about everything she does. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her. She means the world to me. If she wasn't there... I'd honestly see nothing of worth in this world anymore... And you make her so happy, I just want to make sure you don't hurt her, emotionally or physically. She's never had any friends like you since we moved from Cloudsdale." Night said. Crescent didn't know what to say. There was a long and awkward silence between them as they walked to the next shop. Crescent cleared his throat and said "Well, I should get ditzy something... I've already finished my shopping last week... And maybe something for the digimon to share, y'know like a game or something... I know nightfury doesn't care." "Yeah..." Night said, chuckling a bit. "I bet if you put that problem behind you, we could be pretty good friends." "I guess... But... I'll think on it... When Essence is safe, then I can relax." The two were found later at a pastery shop, getting something to eat before they left to get ditzy a present. "What do you Ditzy would like?" Crescent asked. "Bubbles? It's her cutie mark... But at breakfast the other day, I saw her devouring all the muffins. Maybe we should get her some muffin mix so she can make her own?" Night suggested. "I think they sold some here. I'll go check." Crescent said. He got up and walked into the store. Turns out that they did sell some of their homemade muffin mix. He picked it up and tossed a few bits on the counter and left. "Got it. We better get back, otherwise the other's might see the presents." Crescent said. Night nodded. When they got back to the academy they made sure they weren't being followed by anypony. "Clear." Night said, opening the door to their dorm. The two ran in and quickly closed the door. Crescent pulled out some wrapping paper and tape from his saddle bags and put down some presents. "Ok, I'll start with this and you can do this, ok?" Crescent said to Nightfury, gesturing to each item. "Got it." Nightfury said, and started to wrap a box of cookies. Night looked at him. "What? It's for Draco. He loves those cookies and they only sell them around this time." Crescent explained. "Ok... I guess..." Night said, wrapping a present. "So have you put that thing behind you?" Crescent asked. "More or less." Night replied. "Ok, now what did I miss? I swear Crescent, You need to fill me in more often..." Nightfury said, shaking his head. The group shared a laugh after that as they ended a delightful day. Chapter dix: A gift for the seasons! Part nombre trois! finale partie?Essence flew past the tall buildings of Hiroshimare. It was still very early, but she wanted to get done early since she was terrible at keeping things a secret. "Gotta find it... Gotta find it... HA HAA! They still have it open!" She cried out as soon as she found the place she was looking for. It was an old sweet shop, but it held some of the best taffy that she and night had ever tasted. She flew down and opened the door. the bell above it tinkled, sending memories rushing at her like a waterfall. "Ah, May I help you?" The elderly mare called from the corner. She was an earth pony mare that had a pink mane with pale green fur. She had a wrapped candy on her flank and she was trying to organize a donut display. It didn't look like they had any business in a while, but Essence was very fond of this shop. Even though she lived in Yokoneigha, their family would take trips down to Hiroshimare when her father would go on business trips. Even so, every week they would go to that shop, but after Night became a royal guard, they stopped going to Hiroshimare. "Essence? Is that you?" A bright voice called from behind the counter. It was a bright yellow earth pony mare with a dull yellow mane. She had a piece of taffy on her flank and and bright shining blue eyes. Her mane was let loose and was pretty short, as well as her tail. "Honey sweets! It's been a while!" Essence said, walking over to the counter. "Yeah, Heck it has!" She said, pulling essence into a tight hug over the counter. "I've come for some of the Taffy that me and Night would used to get. Do... you still have the right skills?" Essence said, returning the hug and teasing her. "You bet I do... You wanna make that a challenge?" Honey said, glaring playfully at Essence. "Try me." Essence said, smirking. Honey raced into the next room and the clanking of pots and pans cam from the kitchen in the back and soon there was a the hiss of steam. Essence was never allowed back, despite being a friend. She would come to help out now and then, but when the taffy would be made Essence was never allowed back. Something about the secret behind her family recipe to make it in under five minutes and it still tasting good. "Ok! Done! I still remember your favorite..." Honey said, walking out with two boxes. "Strawberry swirl with a marshmallow on the top!" They both said, laughing. "I miss those times. Shame that you had to stop comin' once your brother joined the guard. He still there?" Honey said. "Nah, he quit to take care of us once... uh, My father... Passed away..." Essence said. "Oh, I... Didn't know..." Honey said, placing the boxes on the table. "It's ok. I've gotten over it. Essence pulled out some bits but Honey stopped her. "Nah, It's ok Sweetie. You don't need to pay. Consider it a Hearths warming eve gift." She said, smiling. "Well, then, This is my gift to you." Essence said, pulling a bag of bits out. She tossed it on the table and Honey peeked in. "Essence, I swear, you are too generous for your own good! What about you?!" "I'll manage. I can get a part time job." Essence said cheerfully. "Well, Ok then... Bye! Hope to see you soon!" Honey said, waving. Essence waved goodbye and walked out the front door. "Ok, I got presents for everyone... Presents for the Digimon... Wrapping paper... and cookies... Am I missing anything else..." Essence muttered to herself. "I got it all, I better go get this done then." Essence thought aloud. "Oh hey Essence!" A voice said. "Huh? Oh hey Lightning!" "You all done?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm going home now." Essence replied. "Same, May i join you?" Lightning asked. "Sure, the more the merrier!" Essence said happily. "You want some help?" Lightning asked Essence, who was having a bit of trouble with the tape. They were wrapping their presents out where alot of other students were wrapping their presents, in the outdoor area. It was an area where students could interact and Digimon could do whatever they want. Except break the school rules and/or destroy the world, school, Etc. "Yeah..." She admitted, sheepishly. Lightning lit his horn and the tape unwrapped itself from her hooves. "Thanks." Essence said, happily. "No prob." "So, Essence... When can we open the cookies!?" Wasp asked. "Soon, I only got one more to do. It's Night's" Essence said. "But I'm hungry..." He wined. "You can wait. Have patience my friend." Tapirmon tried to encourage Wasp. "Fiiiine..." He wined again. "Aaaand done!" Essence announced. "Cookies?!?!" Wasp asked, enthusiastically. "Ok, Fine" Essence said, laughing. Lightning lit his horn and the lid of the box of cookies was lifted. In almost a second, 25 percent of the cookies were gone and/or eaten. "Save some for us Wasp!" Lightning said, laughing. "But I'm starvinnnggg." He kept wining. "You just ate when we got back..." Tapirmon replied, dully. "Yeah so?" Wasp countered. "Nothing." Tapirmon said, defeated. The REAL Chapter Eleven: Hearth's warming for warming hearts! Part one.Essence yawned as a furious knock on the door became apparent. it's been a few days since she went shopping and the presents were still stacked up on the table, now with labels. "Rainy... Can you get that..." Essence whined. She woke up with a furious head ache and a runny nose. It was the worst way to begin hearth's warming eve. "Ok..." A tired voice called from the bottom bunk. There was the clopping and dragging of hooves as rainy got up and answered the door. "RAINY!!! YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY IS? HUH DO YA???" The voice known as Ditzy doo cried/ "... Thursday?" She said, tiredly. "Nope! Hearth's Warming!!!" Ditzy announced, prancing in place. "I might not be able to make it... I don't think Essence feels very well." Rainy said, more awake than she was a few minutes ago. "Aw... Do you want me to get somepony?" Ditzy asked. "Nah, It must have been something that happened at the late night celebration. They didn't realize that someponies were trying to sleep..." Rainy said. "Ugh... That kept me up all night... Well, until Lyra asked me if I wanted a charm on my room. It only lasted until sunrise." Ditzy said. "lyra?" Rainy asked. "She's a friend from Ponyville. She went missing a few days ago. I guess this is where she went. She's also my roomate. She has a digmon called an.. an..dro... It's was hard to say." Ditzy explained. "Ah... Andromon?" Rainy yawned. "No.. I think... I'll ask her again..." Ditzy said, trailing off. "Since it's a holiday, I saw many ponies eating breakfast up in their dorms. You want me to bring you some?" Ditzy added "Sure. Whatever they have is fine with me." Rainy said. "I'll be back!" Ditzy said and zoomed down the hallway. Seconds later there came a thud and a "I'm ok!" Rainy closed the door and sighed. Ditzy trotted down the hallway until she got to the cafeteria. She saw Night and all the others sitting down and talking. "Heya!" She said, walking up behind them. "Oh hey ditzy!" Lightning said, smiling. "Wassup?" Night said, swallowing a piece of toast. "Not much, Essence woke up not feeling very well, so I decided to bring rainy and her some breakfast." Ditzy explained. "Wait, Essence doesn't feel very well?" Night parroted. "Yeah, pay attention." Ditzy said. Night just glared at her, annoyed. Ditzy ignored it. "See you later then?" Lightning said. "Yep!" Ditzy said, walking off. Some time later Ditzy returned, balancing a few trays on her wings. She walked up to the dorm room and knocked on the door, which was trick to do with trays of food on her wings. "Oh hey Ditzy!" Rainy said as she grabbed a tray from ditzy's wing. "I'm back!" She said smiling. They placed the trays on the table on the table where essence was sitting and sat down next to her. "Feeling better?" Ditzy asked. "Yep. Rainy gave me some medicine she made and I felt better almost right away." Essence said. "Cool, So are you well enough to eat? The colts were waiting for us in the cafeteria." Ditzy said, taking a bite of her apple. She then frowned and said "Sweet apple acres grows better than this..." "Huh?" Essence asked. "It's a farm in ponyville." Ditzy explained. The two mares nodded their heads in understandment. "Well, I guess we should finish up and then go down." Rainy said, eating some oats. "Wel, I dunno when-" Essence began before draco interrupted her by saying "We finished about five minutes ago." The group met in the student lounge after they were all done. There was a few other ponies and digimon in there giving gifts and whatnot, but most were outside in the snow. "So Essence, you feeling better?" Crescent asked. "yep." She replied happily. "So who's gift is first? Mine? Or maybe mine?" Ace asked gleefully. "Ah shaddup..." Draco said to ace. "I think Night should open his first." Ditzy said. The group fell quiet for a second and then all nodded in agreement. "Why me?" Night asked. "We must have all gotten you all good gifts." Essence said, shrugging. "..Fine.." He said, reaching into his pile of presents. "Oh great, a book about sword fighting. Thanks Rainy. Wait, are you trying to say something?" Night said. "You're welcome and no. I'm not." "Fine.. Alright Lightning your turn." "Wait! Shouldn't we wait until the Digimon are done? I mean, they couldn't wait so..." Essence said. "Nah, They'll be fine." Night said. "O-ok..." Lighting reached in and pulled out a small square wrapped box. He unwrapped it and smiled. "Thanks Ditzy." He said, smiling. "... And finally we got..." Lightning trailed off, unwrapping the lightning spell tome. "Woah! You really didn't need to get this for me Rainy!" He said, putting the book aside. "You're my friend. It's what we do." She replied, smiling. "So... Who's next?" Essence asked. "How about Crescent." Rainy said. "Uh, Sure." He said. Crescent pulled out a very thin square present. It was addressed to him from Ditzy and Rainy. He unwrapped it. "Thanks Ditzy!" He said, smiling. He pulled back the power ponies comic and saw... an issue of spidermane. He didn't hate it, but he didn't dislike it either... "Gee... Thanks.. Rainy!" He said, trying to hide the annoyance in his voice. He made a mental note to bring that to the next bonfire. he pulled out the last present which was given to him from Essence. He unwrapped it. It was a picture of all of them on the first day of when Essence got there. Well, the first official day. "I'll have to ask somepony to get a new picture with Ditzy in too." Essence said. "T- Thanks!" He said, blushing a bit. "Uh... Oh by the way..." Crescent added. 'I'm going to do it. Nothing stopping me...' He thought. "Yeah?" Essence said. "C-can I-" He started. "Woah! Look at that!" A pony yelled. That caused everyone in the room to rush over to the window. Outside was a giant snowpony which looked like it was built by several unicorns, pegasi and their digimon. "Woah!!" Essence said. "Uh... Essence.." Crescent said. He'd never felt this shy before. "Oh I'm sorry Crescent! What were you going to say?" She said. "N-nothing..." He said, sitting down on a seat. "Today, We'll be learning about ultimate level digimon. Who wants to take a guess at what that means?" The room kept eerily silent as somepony in the back coughed. "Ugh FINE! I'll do it.." A hybrid in the front said, raising a hoof. She was a hybrid of dragon and pony, having the wings and back half of a dragon with green scales, while having the front half of a pony with green fur. Her tail had a tuft of cyan fur on the edge, the same color of her mane. She had reptilian orange eyes that sort of unnerved ponies when she would look at them. "A ultimate level digimon is one higher than a champion... I think..." She said, lowering her hoof. "Very good Emerald. I see you studied." Lightning said, nodding. Turning to the chalkboard, he said "A ultimate level digimon is very powerful and some can even take down mega level digimon, With some difficulty. Some digimon don't make it to the Ultimate level, The reasons why is unknown." Essence listened with amazment as lightning went on to talk more about different levels of digimon. "COMANDRAMON!" "Yes, lord Hades sir!" Conandramon said, saluting Hades. "It's time we show these pitiful ponies that we mean business..." Hades said, laughing darkly. "Shall I get Huckmon, Sir?" Comandramon asked. "He's pathetic... I don't know why I brought him here in the first place!" Hades scoffed. Comandramon couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for Huckmon. "Sir... Why are you bringing... That?!" The sound of a bell rang out, signaling that it was time to leave class. "... And that's all for today." Lightning concluded. The room of ponies quickly flooded out, leaving only Ditzy, Essence and Night alone in the room with lightning. "So, You wanna get some lunch?" Lighting said, walking over to the trio. "Sure." Night said. Ditzy and Essence nodded eagerly. "Well, lets go." Lightning said, walking out with the others. "Oh hey guys!" Essence said, waving at rainy and crescent. "Oh hey Ess!" Rainy said, ushering the foursome over. "Oh hey... Essence..." Crescent said, sheepishly. Using his magic he pushed a small box a tiny bit closer to him from under the table. "Uh.. Listen.. Essence?" Crescent said, finding the courage to talk. "Yeah?" Essence replied, blushing a bit. Using his magic, Crescent floated a box over to Essence. "I meant to give this to you at Hearth's warming... but I got wrapped up in the festivities.. a bit..." Essence unwrapped the box and saw it was a small locket. She opened the small heart and saw it had Crescent's and her cutie marks in it, as well as their initials. "Oh wow! Crescent I don't-" She started before she was interrupted by Crescent pecking her on the cheek. Night stood there, shocked. Rainy had a expression of pure delight. Ditzy had the same expression, while Lightning was over getting some hay fries. "We got to have a talk... Crescent..." Night said, his voice pure with rage. "Meh... it was worth it." Crescent said, having a good idea what came next. He followed Night into the halls, where he threw a punch at his face. "OW!" He cried, barely dodging. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU KISS MY SISTER!?" Night screamed at him, Ace and Nightfury trying to hold him back. "Because I love her! I've loved her since I saw her! Are you really going to be that big of a jerk!?" Crescent yelled back. "Well apparently so!" Night said throwing another punch. Crescent dodged it and threw a punch back, hitting his target. Night flinched and tried to throw a punch back, which was blocked by Ace and Nightfury. "Colts!" Ace cried. "Are you really going to act like idiots just because somepony kissed somepony's sister!?" Nightfury yelled. The two colts fell silent. "If I ever catch you ANYWHERE near my sister, you're dead." Night glared at Crescent before walking down the hall, Ace following swiftly at his heels. "... Why doesn't anything work out..." Crescent muttered, walking back to his dorm room until classes started again. "Crescent..." Nightfury said, running quickly after him. Suddenly there was a loud boom as the whole building shook. "What the-!" Crescent said, galloping at full speed back to the Cafeteria . "Where's Night!?" Essence cried, running up to Crescent. "We had a little... Problem..." He said, folding his ears back. "He punched you, didn't he." Essence deadpanned. "Yeah..." "Oh I forgot..." Essence said, before kissing Crescent on his cheek. "And don't worry about Night, I'll have a little talk with him later." Essence said to a blushing Crescent. "R-right.. Well we better see what's going on." He said, the others joining him. The all nodded and sprinted out, joining the already growing crowd outside. "HADES! Why do you return!?" Blue moon yelled. "To play a little... game with two of your students...." He said, grinning. His horn ignited, pulling Essence and Crescent from the crowd. "Now now, my two little digidestined... I've come to make sure you don't ruin my plans..." he said, laughing. "What!?" Essence cried out. "What the hell are you talking about!?" Crescent hissed. "You don't know? Well, I'd better show you..." He said, laughing as he teleported away, dragging the two along for the ride. "ESSENCE!" Night yelled from a window. The laughing echoed until the whole courtyard was silent. "Essence..." Night said again, tears streaming from his eyes. Chapter Thirteen: Bad luck? Or something else..."BRING ESSENCE BACK!" Night yelled, his sword glinting in the moonlight. he was in his Japone guard outfit with his sword polished and sharp. "Hah, Fool..." The alicorn scoffed. His horn started to ignite with a sickly red and green pulse. "NOW PERISH!" he yelled, firing a giant beam of energy at Night. "NO!" He yelled, throwing his hooves in front of his face. He waited a moment, realizing he was alive. He suddenly felt the soft touch of hooves on his back. "Relax now..." Anypony who worked on the Night guard would reconize that voice. "Princess Luna... I was... having a nightmare?" He said, looking up at the suspended beam of energy. "Indeed. I might not understand what happened... but trust your sister to find her way back." Luna said, spreading a comforting wing over night. "I know... She's strong... But she's a little..." He said, struggling to find the word. "Naive?" "I guess that's the closest term..." "I'll say it again, Relax. I understand you used to serve on the Japone Night Guard?" Luna asked. "You are correct... I quit to make time for her..." Night said. "Well, as an order to a previous Night Guard, I order you to take time to relax." Luna said, laughing a little. "Yes, Ma'am." Night saluted, with a dorky grin on his face. Luna disappeared, screaming in pain as the space grew darker. Night began to panic as laughter filled the space... "Fools... All of them..." "Urrgh..." Essence moaned as she spat sand out of her mouth. 'Wait, sand?' She opened her eyes to find herself in the middle of a desert. "But, I wasn't anywhere near a desert..." She muttered. "Hey! There's voices over here!" "EEP!" Essence said and shot into the air. "What the- IT CAN FLY? No digimon out here is capable of flying that long, at least here..." The voice said. "Wow... Sound really carries..." Essence muttered again. Essence looked through the expanse of burning sand to see a small figure running almost comically away. "Heh, It must be the heat..." She said to herself. She kept hovering in the air until she spotted what looked like to be a village. She slowly flew over until she spotted something strange. "The trees all bend one direction... Why?" She said, staring at the line of bent trees. "You there! Pegasusmon!" A voice yelled. "Who me?" She said, facing the direction of the voice. "Get inside! You want to be caught in the windstorm!?" It was a small sort of digimon with a kind of cat's paw on a stick. "N-no.." She muttered and sprinted over. The digimon let her inside where she suddenly heard the wind pick up. "Good thing you got inside. You'd hate to get deleted this soon." The digimon said, patting her on the back. "Deleted?" Essence muttered, curious. "BABAMON! GET OVER HERE!" The digimon cried downstairs. "JUST A MINUTE JIJIMON!" All Essence could do was whimper in fear. "Get up!" Crescent awoke next to a very angry digimon. "I don't have that much time you know! sleeping on my restaurant will cost money!" * "Huh... Oh... Put it on my bill..." He muttered, sleepily. "GET UP YOU LAZY BUFFOON!" The Egg digimon screamed, kicking Crescent. "I'M UP! Celestia, can't you not kick me next time!" Crescent yelled at the digimon. He slowly blinked at the digimon. "Why aren't you with your tamer, Digitamamon?" He asked. "Tamer?! I will never be tamed by such a... Beast..." He said, venom clear in his voice. "I'm clearly not in Equestria anymore..." He muttered, turning to look at the lake that expanded in front of him. "Equestria!? You're in the Digital world my 'friend'... No kindness here." Digitamamon scoffed, hearing crescent. "Yeah, well. I'll get going then. I got to find my partner. HE cares about what happens to me." Crescent said, annoyed with this digimon. "Oh? What about your dept?" Digitamamon said, the obvious smirk plastered across his non-visible face. "Screw the debt." He simply said. "So, you're going to play like that?" Digitamamon laughed. "Eeyup." "Fine... I bet you don't have anywhere to stay? It might get dark soon..." Digitamamon teased. "Shut that egg... hole, or I'll break you a new one." Crescent threatened. "Likely story. You have no weapons, and I can clearly tell that you're not a digimon." He scoffed. "Oh yeah? I may have no weapons... But my magic is all that I need." Crescent said, demonstrating by lifting Digitamamon up and tossing him roughly on the ground. "Ooh... I'm a little shaken up, but they're no way you'll be able to harm me." He boasted. "Wanna bet?" Crescent glared. They both entered a glaring contest for a few minutes. That is, until Digitamamon backed slightly away. "Alright.. I see you're serious kid..." He said, closing his eyes. Crescent turned his back and started to walk down to the water. "Nightmare Syndrome!" Digitamamon shot a black ghostlike figure at Crescent. Crescent barely dodged in time. "Trying to get the edge on the somepony that used to be from the Equestrian Junior Night Guard? Bad choice..." He said, grinning. Crescent ignited his horn and sent Digitamamon flying. Turning around he gave a swift buck just as he came down, sending him into a wall. "Done yet?" Crescent asked, keeping the grin on his face. Digitamamon only let a groan out. "Good. Stay that way." He said, patting him on the top of his eggshell. Nightfury desperately paced around the floor of the portal room, where a few unicorns were trying to see if Hades sent them to the digital world. "Don't worry..." Wasp said, placing a foreleg on Nightfury's back. "They'll come back safe and sound... I'll bet all my snacks on it." He added, cheerfully. Nightfury sighed. "It's not just that... It's how your Tamer's brother acted... He cares alot about her... Doesn't he?" He asked Wasp. "Yep... To tell the truth, I'd say Ace is sort of like a brother to me. We came to our tamers together... so why not?" Wasp said, his cheerful attitude still there. "I... I just don't know... You kinda went off topic for a second you know..." Nightfury pointed out. "I know. It gets things off minds." He laughed. "You're weird Wasp. In a good way." Nightfury said, smiling. "I know... I'm awesome." Wasp laughed. "Why don't we go raid the snack bar while mean Digitamamon isn't looking?" Wasp suggested, Smirking at Nightfury. "I... Don't know..." Nightfury said, uncertain. "Oh come on! It'll be fun..." Wasp taunted. "... I'm going to hate myself later... But ok... let's go." Nightfury said, smiling. "YAY!" Wasp said, flying into the air. Chapter Fourteen: The Team!"WHADDYA MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND THEM!?" Night hollered at the scientist who was fiddling with the portal. "I-I can't find a presence, much less two, in the digital world... That's what I'm saying." He replied. Night glared at him for a second before running out, frustrated. Rainy caught him barreling past and held him back, much to the amazement of the others. "Night! Acting like a moron will not help!" Rainy yelled. Night relaxed and turned to face rainy. "... I know..." He sighed. He sat down on the ground, wings lying limply at his side. Ditzy walked over and sat down beside him, Biscuit in tow. "We'll find her... Don't worry." She said, rubbing his back. "Yeah... I hope so..." He said. "Oh and Crescent too." Ditzy then added. "... Of course we will..." Night muttered. Suddenly Two full grown alicorns burst down the halls at stunning speeds with a smaller alicorn running to catch up, followed by a troop of guards. "... The princesses?!" Lightning shouted, shocked. "They must be here because of that one Alicorn." Rainy said, watching as the princesses ran into the lab. "S-stop it..." Essence cried softly as she hid under a shabby sofa. "Grraaaah! I told you!" The one Essence assumed to be Babamon said. "I said I'm not doing It!" Jijimon yelled back. "Then stop bickering and fight back!" "Fine!" "This has been going on for an hour..." Essence said, quietly. Eventually a groaning sound rang out as they both stopped fighting. "Well, time for Dinner!" Jijimon said, walking off like nothing happened. "I can't wait!" Babamon simply said. "...What just happened..." Essence said, stunned. Crescent looked at the expanse of water. He noticed a paddleboat in the shape of a swan on the side of the beach. "This'll have to do.." He muttered. He climbed in the boat, but that's when he noticed something. "Why would somepony build a boat that somepony can't reach the pedals?" He asked himself. He sat up in a slightly awkward position, much like a seafoam green mare would sit, and placed his back hooves on the pedals. He turned one of the pedals as an experiment and, much to his surprise, they worked perfectly like this. He sighed and got out of the boat. He used his magic and put he boat in the water, facing north. He climbed back in and sat in the same position. "What have I gotten ourselves into, Essence...." He muttered and started to paddle. "Night wing?" A scientist called out into the long hallway, where a lone black Pegasus was still positioned against the wall. "Yes?" He said, snapping his head up. "Her majesties would like a word." The goggled Pegasus said, moving out of the way so night could walk in. He entered the room and gulped. The princesses were much bigger in real life... He bowed and said "What did you need me for, your majesties?" Princess Celestia raised a hoof and Night snapped back in his former position. "We need to know more about your sister." Princess Celestia spoke with a regal yet gentle voice. "Uh... W-well... She's a Pegasus, like me... and she's-" He was interupped by Princess Twilight raising a hoof. "Uh, what the princess means is her attitude, likes, dislikes, stuff like that. It can help fuel the search spell. Even though I had no idea a spell like this existed until today...." She glanced up at Princess Celestia, slightly angry yet respectful. "She's.. Naïve, for lack of a better term, Optimistic and she's got a caring heart like no other.... Well, besides Ditzy." Night said. Sudddenly a ping went off from the equipment that was processing the information. "We've found two life forms inside!" A royal guard shouted. "Uh... With a due respect... How did you get Crescent's information." Night asked. "He used to be on the junior night guard before this all happened." Luna said. "We had most of his info on the sheet he submitted." Celestia said, holding back a giggle. "Uh, princess Celestia? If I must know, where does this portal go?" Princess twilight asked. "To a different world, Unlike anypony has seen..." Princess Celestia muttered. There was a heavy silent until Princess Celestia broke it. "We'll need to make a search and rescue team of some strong ponies here. Comander Stormsweeper?" Princess Celestia turned around as she was approached by a Pegasus that looked just like the rest. He saluted and awaited orders. "Find me some strong, reliable ponies here at this school. I'll need them by a week." She commanded. The Pegasus ran out, followed by two unicorn guards. "Night Wing." Princess Celestia addressed. "Yes?" He said, looking up. "You know Essence better and anypony here. I was wondering if you would be the head of this search and rescue team?" She said, seriously. Night was shocked, but he nodded nonetheless. "Good. Now if you excuse us... We need to figure out exactly where your sister and her friend is." Princess Celestia said, turning around. "Uh... Your majesty? I think I may have the ponies for the job..." Night said, turning around and seeing a familiar derp eyed stare. Crescent panted. "HOW... BIG... IS THIS LAKE?!" He shouted. He was paddling for a while now, barely even seeing land. "I wish I had some hay fries right now though..." He muttered and wiped his brow of sweat. Suddenly through the fog he saw a object shaped like a circle. "A... Ferris wheel?" He said as he paddled towards a beach. He parked the swan boat right where it was at and looked around. No sign of his marefriend. "Just my luck..." He muttered. "You're a funny digimon." Something said. "Huh?" Crescent muttered and turned around. Essence was now sitting at a small table on cushions drinking something that tasted similar to tomato soup. "I'd like to thank you again for letting me into your home while the sandstorm lets down." Essence said. "It's no problem. We were hoping you'd would have fought with us. Show us some Pegasusmon abilities." Babamon said, drinking the liquid. "Uh... I'm.. Not a pegasusmon... Just a pegasus..." She said. Both digimon stared. "I've never heard of a pegasus... I suppose your from the real world..." Jijimon muttered. "What's wrong with the real world?" Essence asked. Both digimon looked at each other. "It's something we wouldn't like to talk about..." They both said. "Uh.. Well... It sounds like the sandstorm's let down..." Essence said, hearing no wind. "Huh... Quickest one yet..." Jijimon said, opening the stone door a bit. Sure enough, It was stopped. "Well... I'll be going now... I wish I could repay you somehow but I got to find my partner." Essence said, bowing. "A tamer huh... Well just go!" Babamon said, throwing Essence out on the sand. "Rude..." Essence pulled herself up and stretched her wings, hearing a audible pop noise. She then got into a flight position and took off. She flew for a while until she noticed a bright pink beam flying at her. "OH PONY-" She said before it quickly over took her, pulling her in. "Wait, The princess wants us to go to the digital world?!" Rainy cried in surprise. "The... Digital world?" Ditzy asked. "It's a place where all digimon are from. We have a portal going directly to the first plane of it. It takes even more magic to get to any other." Rainy explained. "Oh..." Ditzy said. "So, is it true that Essence and Crescent are there?" Lighting asked. Night nodded. "Well, then I'm in!" Rainy said, jumping. "I dunno... It's a dangerous world..." Draco said, worried. He thought for a moment. "I guess I have no choice... If rainy goes I have to go." He sighed. "I need to go!" Wasp buzzed angerly. "They're both defenseless if we don't get there." Nightfury said. "I need to go for Night... If he gets hurt..." Ace said, nearly breaking into tears. "I guess we're in too." Lightning said, nodding alongside Tapirmon. "We're in too!" Ditzy said, hugging Biscuit. Night nodded and walked back into the lab. "You five do realize this is dangerous, right?" Luna informed them. They all nodded. "Alright. if things get iffy, Lightning Blast, here's the portal spell to get home." Princess Twilight said, handing Lightning a piece of parchment. "Thank you, your majesty." He said, taking the parchment and nodding. There was a clear twitch in Princess Twilight's eye as she walked back. Princess Celestia levitated over a dozen small boxes with straps on them. "These will allow you to comunicate through the barrier. We will monitor you inside. We made much more in case those broke." Princess Celestia said. "Your friends are on the First and Third Plane. That means you'll need to cast a new spell we've been making. It will allow you to go through the barrier to the next area." Princess Luna said, handing Lightning a new piece of parchment. The three princesses stepped aside. "You may go... Remember, First and third plane." Princess Twilight said, helping keep the portal stable. "Thank you.. Your majesties..." Night said, hopping through the portal after the others. "Well... We better cancel that order that we gave stormsweeper..." Princess Luna said, unable to hold back a giggle. "So... What is that world?" Princess Twilight asked. "I'll tell you sometime later..." Princess Celestia said.
Chapter One: The Mysterious Letter...I'm BOORREEDDD.... Why can't anything exciting happen in Japone? Thought Essence Wing. She sighed and stepped away from the window. She went into the bathroom and splashed some water on her face darkish lightish brown fur. She looked up and was greeted by her sparkling blue eyes staring straight at her. She pulled her mane back into three ponytails (Pun not intended) and wrapped them in light red bands. She did the same for her tail and flapped out her wings, inspecting them closely, seeing how each feather was layed out. She moved down until she saw her cutie mark. It was a four-pointed star with a pair of wings attached to it. She smiled and remembered that time she got it. The wonderbolts were doing a special performance for the empress and she got to go. She was young back then and barely knew how to fly. It was half way through the show when she realized everypony was watching her. She was flying and copying the wonderbolt's moves almost exact. But the most remarkable thing was the stars had just came out when everypony noticed her. She looked down and saw her cutie mark on that once blank flank. She looked back up and felt a tickle in her nose. She took a deep breath and grabbed a tissue. She sneezed and watched a dark grey feather fall down. She looked up and saw a hole in the cloud ceiling. Sure enough it was her brother, Night Wing. He was kicking holes in his floor, His records blaring loud, again. “Night Wing!! Stop kicking out your floor while I'm getting set to go somewhere!” she yelled at him. He shrugged and barely noticed her, but he stopped none the less. She sighed a breath of relief and walked out into the living room. She looked around at the familiar sights. The stairway on the left near her door, check, The sofa, ruined with tons of holes in it, check, Otherwise, it was a nice home. It had a warm atmosphere, nice décor, tons of food in the kitchen. She walked into the kitchen and opened up the cupboards and grabbed some oats. She silently munched on them, until there was a knock on the door. “Squirt! Go get the door!” yelled Night from his room. “Why do I always got to do it...” muttered Essence, opening the door. She opened the door to find that no pony was there. She looked down and there was a package and a note. She picked up the note and read it. It said: To Essence and Night Wing. You are both invited to the Digimon Academy. You have been entrusted with two digimon, or rather digital monsters. They are in their egg stage right now but soon will hatch with time. How they grow and experience this world is up to you. She looked around for a return address but none was to be found. She put the letter down and pulled the package. She opened it up and found two eggs in it. One was purple with stars on it and the other was blue and had triangles on it. “But who sent them...” she said aloud. “Who sent what?” said a voice. Essence turned around and saw Night coming out of his bedroom and down the stairs. He was a grey stallion Pegasus with slightly darker eyes than Essence. He had a dark blue mane and tail with a yellow streak through it. It was a bit windswept but he was one of the fastest flyers in japone. His cutie mark was two samurai swords clashing together. She held up the letter and said “Well we're something called a digidestined and yeah... we got pets I guess...” She picked up the one with stars on it and inspected it closely. No cracks or anything that looks like it would be damaged. She slowly picked it up and carried it to her room. She covered it up with a blanket and sat down. Tick... tock... tick... tock... She sighed loudly and flopped on her back. She didn't care that her feathers were getting messed up and she would need to fix them again before she went flying again. An hour went by and Essence was on the floor, snoring. Eventually there was a loud crack that woke Essence up. She sat up quickly and looked at the egg. Sure enough, The egg had cracked. She crawled up to it and tapped it. In response to her touch it started to glow. She backed away quickly and in the egg's place was a... blue thing. It had tiny wings and looked as shiny as a pearl. It also had giant eyes that were purely black. Besides the thing was a green and white object. It was shaped like something that was just introduced in Neighpon called a cell phone, Except it didn't have that lid that flips open. Shame that they didn't have any in Japone. It opened its eyes and said “Hello?” Essence was on the back wall, struggling to get as far away from that thing as she could. “S-s-stay back!! I-i-i know how to f-f-fight!!” she yelled at it. It wasn't even fazed by her yelling. “I won't hurt you... I promise... I can't even fight yet...” it said. Essence creeped forward a bit and stared at the creature. “What are you?” she asked, curiously. “I'm a digimon. Who are you?” “Essence Wing. Do you have a name or do I have to make one up for you?” “No you don't. My name is Pupumon!!” “Um... maybe I should just call you squishy...” “Hey!! Whats wrong with the name I got!?” “Nothing! It just sounds... weird I guess..” Essence rubbed the back of her head nervously. Pupumon just smiled and hopped on her back. “I'm starving, can I eat now?” he asked. Essence picked the green and white object up. They made their way down to the kitchen and Essence got Pupumon something to eat. “so... where did you come from?” she asked. “The digital world I guess. I don't remember when I came to the real world.” he answered in between bites of berries and oats. Suddenly he started to glow and when the light disappeared in his place was a creature that looked like a bee but had three pairs of wings. It had huge green eyes, Two tiny antenna, stubby legs and had a small stinger on its rump, but he was yellow and had no stripes. “Yay!! I digivolved!!! It shouldn't have been that quick but still yay!” he shouted as he flew all around the room. “Um.... what just happened...” Essence said, stunned. “I digivolved to Puroromon! Hm? Whats this piece of paper?” he said, seeing the letter on the floor by the box. He flew over and picked it up and read it. “OOH it says here you got to go to a aca... acua... acea... a thing!” he shouted out, having some difficulty with the word academy. “Yeah but I got school tomorrow as well.. plus I have no idea where this place is.” Essence explained. Puroromon nodded his head like he understood what she was saying when in realitity he did not. He did, however, understand that she had no idea where it was though. “Well maybe this Night Wing would know?” he suggested, helpfully. “Silly, Night is my brother. He never smiles though...” Essence said as her brother walked out of his room. “Essence, what's this following me?” he said, reffering to the green seahorse-dragon thing on his back. It had a horns like branching coral and a tail like a cloud. “Hey! I'm not a something! The name's Babydmon! Now like it or not I'm your partner!” he said. Puroromon just stared at him, still buzzing in the air. “Um... now what's that floating in the air?” he asked Essence, pointing at puroromon. “Well its a digimon of course... You have one. didn't he explain what he is and stuff?” Essence explained. Babydmon looked guilty and said “Um... yeah... I didn't do that... heh... sorry...” Night rolled his eyes. “Whatever, I work alone though got that?” he said to babydmon. He nodded sadly and Night walked back to his room. Essence just stared and said “Um... well... Babydmon? Its ok... he'll come around eventually.” Essence walked over and pulled out a Saddle Bag with her Cutie Mark on it. “Hey Night?! I'm going on a little walk 'kay? When I'll be back, I have no idea.” Essence shouted. No response. “Babydmon? Keep out of sight of my mom when she comes home."Essence continued. He nodded and ate the rest of Puroromon's oats. “Hey!! Those are mine!” Puroromon yelled, ramming Babydmon. “Hot Steam!!" yelled Babydmon, Pushing Puroromon back with a burst of hot steam. “Chikkuritto!” puroromon yelled, slicing through the steam with his little stinger. “Grr... stop it!” Yelled Essence, who was busy packing food and medical supplies. The digimon turned and stared at her. Puroromon looked down sadly. “I'm sorry I yelled. Just don't fight again. Now if we're partners then I guess you better hop in.” she said, pointing to the empty second saddlebag. Puroromon buzzed in and poked his head out. Essence slipped the saddlebags on and fit her wings in the holes cut out for pegasi. “I suggest you hold on tight, these wings are not for- oh wait!!! I forgot something!!” Essence said, flying into her room. She grabbed her blue vest and took off her saddlebags and slipped it on. She put the saddlebags back on and flew out. She peeked inside the empty saddlebag and saw puroromon was asleep. “Only two minutes and he's asleep...” she said as she dropped a small bag of oats into it for when he woke up. She ran out the door and started to flap her wings as hard as she could. She wobbled a bit before remembering something important. She needed to readjust her flight feathers. Bursting out of the house with the same bravado as before, she managed to get a lift of air. She soared for hours, over houses, over trees and eventually getting to the ocean. She took a mini telescope out of her vest pocket and looked through it. She saw an island close by the, or so it seemed through the telescope. The only problem was the sun was lowering. She took off towards that island. It was nightfall when she landed on the island so she decided to set up camp there. She suddenly heard laughing. She made her way over to the sound and she saw a bonfire with what looked like a whole class of ponies and... digimon? There were cheers of delight as the fire sprung up, dancing in the wind. She stepped torwards the nearest pony and said “Um, excuse me? Is this the digimon Academy? I got a letter saying to come here...” the pony turned and said “Yes this is, who are you?" The pony was a tan unicorn with a light blue mane that parted where his horn is. His tail stuck out and was blue with cyan tips. He had green eyes and his cutie mark was two blue lightning bolts crossing in an X formation. The digimon next to him looked like a tapir with a metal helmet and a golden ring around his wrist. He was connected to a cloudlike object and he was chewing on something hard and sticky. “I'm Essence Wing... Yours?” She said "The name's Lightning Blast and this is my partner Tapirmon.” Tapirmon bowed. “Essence Wing.... Ah, Thats a beautiful name you have. So care to join me for dinner?" Essence nodded shyly as she took Lighting's hoof. " I run the new tamer class, If you didn't know. Oh wait, where's your digimon?” he said. She pointed to the saddlebags and took them off. She poked Puroromon, In response he flew up lazily. “Morning already? When's breakfast... hey why is so dark?” He said. He looked around and saw Essence's face was right next to his. “AAH! Don't scare me like that Essence...” he said, hugging Essence. Essence hugged him back and said “We made it I think. This is Lightning Blast and Tapirmon. Lightning, Tapirmon, this is [uroromon. He's my partner digimon I guess." Lightning looked closer at puroromon. “Ah I see. He's in his In-Training form. Soon he'll digivolve again into his Rookie form. That will be FanBeemon. You got an amazing digimon there. not very often a tamer meets a virus type like this digimon. How long ago did he hatch. He should have been in his fresh form. That would have been Pupumon.” explained Lightning. “Um.. when he hatched? This morning I think... or rather torwards lunch time...” She said, confused. Lightning thought for a bit then replied “He should digivolve again sometime tonight acually... if my math is correct.. then again I didn't get my cutie mark in math. Anyways help yourself to some of our treats.” Puroromon buzzed away and started eyeing a container of yellow sweets. Tapirmon floated over and said “You want some Digi-Bytes? Here.” He handed Puroromon a container of them. Puroromon squealed in glee and started to eat. He finished them soon after. He reached up for another one when the whole table came crashing down on top of him. Tapirmon and other digimon tried helped him out but a white glow was coming from under the food. “Puroromon digivolve to.... FanBeemon !!” he yelled as he burst out as FanBeemon. He was a whole lot bigger with three pairs of legs that are fully grown. His huge green eyes were gone and replaced by normal green eyes. One pair of his wings disappeared but the other two grew bigger. His attenna grew bigger but also floppier. A bunch of ponies crowded over to see the digimon. Essence was wondering what the hubub was all about. She flew over and saw a digimon that she didn't see before. It was covered in food though. It flew over to her and hugged her, laughing. “Oh.. its you Puroromon... I guess you digivolved again though..” Essence said, smiling. Everypony just stared at her, just because she wasn't ever there before. An old unicorn began to push his way through the crowd. He asked essence “Are you Essence Wing?” Essence nodded. “but where's your brother? He got send a letter too right?” “Uh huh... he stayed back in Japone though. He had a digimon called umm... Babydmon thats right! Hey, how did you know I have a brother? Have you been watching us?” “What?! No! The digital world tells us when new Tamers have risen. And you two were in the area together all the time so I assumed that you were either family or very good friends.” “Ah... I see sorry about that..” “Water under the bridge. Now can I see the letter just to see if it got there safely?” “Sure.” said essence, pulling out the letter. She showed it to him and he took in in a light blue aura. “Lets see... Ah ok then here you go and welcome to the digimon Academy! I am King piece and I am the headmaster around here. You got here kind of late so why don't we all go retire for the night?" He takes out a list of names with a burst of magic. "You will be staying with Rainy Days. She studies hard but she's a nice mare.”
Side Story 1: Spar with Crescent Blade!Essence walked down the long hallway with FanBeemon by her side. she passed a room with a strange unicorn dueling a yellow Pegasus. she walked into the doors and saw the digimon that unicorn owned was sort of like a black dinosaur with red bands all over it's body and two blades connected to it's wrists. The Pegasus was using a small orange digimon that looked a bit like a pig with huge ears. "All right Patamon! Blackgrowlmon is strong but we can do it! DIGIVOLVE!" She shouted as she pulled a machine similar to hers. Patamon began to grow, and his ears grew to be a pair of giant wings and he looked like a bipedal angel more than a pig. " Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!" The unicorn smirked, and BlackGrowlmon rushed forward. "Exhaust flame!" It yelled as it spat out a stream of flame at Angemon. He swiftly dodged but his top right wing got burned. "Hand of fate!" He yelled as his staff disappeared into a burst of energy. he pulled his fist back and quickly punched the air, sending a giant glow fist at BlackGrowlmon. "Plasma Blade!" he yelled as he swung his blades at the oncoming fist, dispersing it from the air. he rushed forward and slashed at angemon, sending him flying. Even though they were both Champion level digimon, it was clear there was a more power on BlackGrowlmon's side. The Pegasus rushed over and picked up the fallen patamon. "Good match Cresent" she said, Yawning. "Nice try but try to get stronger next time." he said. New Dawn nodded and flew out a open window. Essence walked in, Fanbeemon hiding behind her wings. "Cresent, you got a new opponent..." BlackGrowlmon said, tapping cresent with his tail. Cresent turned around and essence stopped in her tracks. "O-opponent? M-Me? Oh I couldn't possibly match the power you two have... just came to see what was going on..." she said, her eyes being drawn to his ears. "Finally noticed huh? Well we going to spar or what?" he said, Walking to the other side of the gym/arena. she stared at FanBeemon and shrugged, She galloped over to the other side and FanBeemon followed. "I truly have no idea what to do..." she whispered to FanBeemon. "I guess I fight... a C-champion level digimon?! NO WAY I'M DOING THIS!!" FanBeemon said, his voice raising torward a scream at the end. "U-um besides it like, 11:00 at night, we should go to bed!" He added, hiding behind Essence. She sighed and pushed him out in the middle of the arena. "Look, if we're going to be here we need to learn ok? You may have just... done whatever that was called but we can do this ok?!" Essence said, staring him in the eyes. He sighed and flew out in the middle of the arena. he gulped as he saw the giant black digimon loom over him. "H-Hi.." he said in a quiet voice. "I didn't come here to talk... lets get this going so I can just have food." BlackGrowlmon said, sharpening his claws against his wrist blades. "Plasma Blades!" BlackGrowlmon yelled as he rushed at FanBeemon. Due to the size differences FanBeemon was able to easily dodge out of the way of the blades. "Gear Stingers!" He yelled as he shot a stream of stingers at BGrowlmon. He just swatted them away, not impressed at all. "Nightfury! You can do better than that!" Crescent Blade shouted at B.Growlmon. Essence felt entirely useless through that period of them exchanging shots and either missing or doing nothing to the other. "If only I could do that trick that the Pegasus used..." Essence said to herself. "Essence!! Digivolve me to waspmon!" FanBeemon shouted, dodging another blow. "How?!" she yelled as something in her saddlebags started beeping. she pulled it out and it was the green machine. it had the word DIGIVOLUTION scrolling across it. Essence held it up and shouted "Digivolve!" FanBeemon was surrounded in a bright light. " FanBeemon digivolve to... Waspmon" Essence was amazed to see what FanBeemon had become. "Woah..." she said under her breath. "I'm impressed. you two must have a strong bond for Waspmon to digivolve to champion so soon." crescent said, sweeping his hoof in front of him in a dramatic way. "But it won't help you, Nightfury!" Nightfury charged forward, barely missing waspmon. he managed to scratch his armor but he was still able to fight. " Turbo Stinger!!" Waspmon shouted, sending several lasers down at Nightfury. they hit him spot on but he easily shook them off. "Ha! Exhaust flame!" NightFury shouted, sending a burst of black flame torward Waspmon. He countered it with a mighty Turbo Stinger attack. "I'm tired so lets just finish this, Bear Buster!! " Waspmon shouted, charging up a giant laser blast. "Agreed, Plasma Blade!!" Nightfury shouted as the same time. He charged forward, and leaping up just as Waspmon unleashed his Bear Buster attack. They both got caught in each others attacks so there was a huge explosion, followed by two digimon falling from the explosion. FanBeemon landed with a thud while BlackGuilmon (Or still Nightfury if you want to still call him that) was caught in his tamers magic. "Good job, what was your name anyways?" Crescent asked Essence, walking over to her. "My name is Essence Wing. I just arrived from Japone." Essence said, picking up FanBeemon. "I can tell that your new. Anyways, Mares dorm rooms are up the stairs then to the left. If you're assigned to the cloud dorms then you can just fly out that window and up, like New Dawn did." Crescent explained. "Um... one last question... Why are your ears and eyes like that..." Essence asked, hoping not to have pushed a nerve. He sighed and said "My mother was a threstal and my father was a unicorn. I ended up getting some of my mothers features and some of my dad's features. I really don't want to explain my life story right now..." He pulled out a small picture that was in his bag he had put against the wall while he was sparring. he slightly smiled at it as he folded it and put it back Essence said "So you're a vesper? I've seen a few walking or flying around yokoneigha. Well, maybe sometime we can exchange stories about how we met our partners." He laughed and said "You know what, I think I'd accually like that. Sure, maybe sometime this weekend when I'm not busy." Essence smiled and thanked him. With FanBeemon on her back, she walked out. (Meanwhile at Japone) "COME ON NIGHT I WANNA GO FIND ESSENCE!!!" The newly digivolved Dracomon cried out. The black pegasus covered his ears, he couldn't take much more of this. his parents haven't come back and he was really worried about Essence. "OK fine! We'll go to this 'Academy' and find her!" Night cried out, exasperated.
Chapter Four: First day!Essence walked down the long hallway to dorm room number 64. she knocked on it and a loud boom came from inside. "Dracomon! I told you not to use that to put up streamers! We need to get this dorm in shape for our dormate's arrival!" A voice said. "Awww, but ever since I found it floating in the ocean I've always wanted to use it!" There was a loud crash and the sound of a window being slammed closed. Essence winced at the sound and carefully opened the door. Inside there was a blue earth pony with a green braided mane and tail yelling at a green dragonlike digimon. "Now nopony gets to use it. Happy? Just please hang the streamers up normally..." she said, exasperated. she looked over to see essence was standing in the doorway, shocked. "Oh my! You must be essence wing! I'm so sorry, Draco keeps messing things up, but thats just because he's a natural klutz." she said, giggling at the end. "I'm supposed to be your new roommate..." Essence said, feeling a bit shy. "Oh welcome to dorm room number 64! You arrived at a very awkward time, here at D.A. Tomorrow is, well, You'll see. !" she explained. Essence took off her saddle bags and put them on the ground, careful not to mess up the decor. Fanbeemon slid of Essence's back and fell asleep on the floor. "Looks like he had a rough night..." Dracomon said, blowing up a orange balloon. "Not the ones dracomon! those are supposed to go outside! He never stops... oh i should introduce myself, I am rainy days." Rainy said, holding out her hoof. "As you know I'm Essence and this is FanBeemon, the laziest digimon in the world..." Essence said, taking the hoof and shaking it. "Well just put your things on the top bunk." She asked. Essence nodded and threw her things on the top bunk, As well as Fanbeemon. "Why is he all banged up like that?" Rainy asked. Essence told her about the duel and how he got all banged up. "Oh I see what happened now..." She said, winking and giggling. Essence quickly hid her face behind her wings as they grew a nice crimson. She cleared her throat and said "Sooo, Why are you decorating?" Rainy said "Well, It was supposed to be for you... but we never got done since Dracomon isn't helping." "You're sure as rain, I'm not helping. I do not like parties too much. Too loud." "You get free candy and other sweets..." Rainy taunted. "Wait CANDY??!!!" Dracomon said, shooting straight up and hung some balloons to the outside of the dorm rooms door. The mares laughed and sat down on the bed. Rainy yawned and rubbed her eyes with a hoof. "We better get some sleep." Rainy said, flopping on her bed. "M'kay... Good night..." Essence said, flying up on her bed and falling asleep. The mares were woken to an knock at their door. "Come on Mares, Up and at'em!" Said an unusually cheery voice. "nnghhh... Go away night..." Essence muttered, opening her eyes to see FanBeemon hovering in her face. "Morning Essence! Time to get up!" He said, unusually cheery. "Why are you up so early... It's a Friday...." She said, yawning. "Well do you want to be late to see your brother!?" He said, stuffing books into her saddlebags. "MY BROTHER!?" she cried out, knocking her head on the ceiling and waking Rainy up. "Why are you screaming!?" She asked, annoyed. Dracomon rolled on his back and snored some more. She nudged him and he woke up screaming. "WHERE'S THE FIRE!" He screamed, looking around swiftly. "Theres no fire Draco. My brother is apparently at this school right now!" Essence cried out, brushing her mane. She threw open the door and ran into the hallway with FanBeemon in tow. She went down many winding hallways until she saw the familiar entrance doors. She threw them open to see Blue Moon talking with a VERY familiar black pegasus. "NIGHT! What are you doing here!" Essence cried out, running at Night. "I was looking for you. We're going home, our parents are most likely worried sick about us right now." He said, scowling at his sister. "B-but why? I already have so many friends and, I just got here yesterday..." Essence said, Giving Night her best puppy dog eyes. "Not the eyes Essence... Please. Grraaah! Fine, You can stay," Night said, Ruffling Essence's mane. "YAY!" "But, I'm staying here to. That invitation was for both of us." "Awww..." Essence said, pouting. "Listen... You're my little sister... I can't let things go and happen to you. Besides if mom knew you were alone, she would kill me." Night said. "Well, now that we got that sorted, We should go have have some breakfast while I get Night Wing into the system. Essence wing, you go on ahead." Blue Moon said, walking Essence and Night into the building. Shortly behind them was Night's Dracomon and FanBeemon. Inside the cafeteria, Essence joined Rainy at the end of the table. she placed her bowl of oatmeal in front of her seat and sat down, depressed. "Whats up?" Dracomon said, eating something that looked like dog food. "Nothing... Just my brother is staying here... And he's being overprotective... as usual..." Essence said between bites of oatmeal. "Ooh, There's nothing worse than an overprotective brother." Said a voice beind Essence. Behind her was Lightning Blast. He was laughing at his own joke, but he soon cleared his throat and sat down next to Essence and Rainy. "Aren't you supposed to be at the teacher's table?" Rainy said, turning away from her book. "Nah, I thought I would let the new mare fit in. Things can be pretty tough at D.A. Plus your first course tomorrow is mine." He said, floating his meal over with his aqua blue magic. Essence ignored him and started to munch on her apple. Soon she felt something splatter all over her mane. She picked bits of balloon out of her mane as she turned swiftly around to see a group of mares and stallions laughing. There was one in particular who was laughing the hardest. It was a bright red unicorn stallion. He had a Pink cloud that looked like it was raining chocolate milk. "Just Ignore Prank Storm. His talent is pranks so not much we can do to him." Lightning said, casually eating his meal. Essence sighed as FanBeemon came over and sat on the table. "ESSENCE!! I'm hungry..." He whined. "Go over to Digitamamon. He's the one who prepares all the Digimon food, Well with the exception of RedVeggiemon and Veggiemon." Dracomon said, munching on his food. FanBeemon buzzed over to an egg shaped digimon. He was busy ordering some Veggiemon around as they worked to create a weird sort of pellets. Essence watched him as he buzzed over and started talking to a weird digimon. "So, Essence I was wondering, you said you live in Japone right?" Lighting asked. She nodded. "How can you speak normal equestrian and not Japonese?" "Oh, That's because I was born in Cloudsdale and I lived there for about 15-ish years of my life. I can speak a bit of Japonese but... I'm not good so I normally don't go out and talk too much..." She said. "And, last question, Why do some ponies cal it Japone and others call it neighpon?" "Oh that's because it's seperated into to sections. Japone is the right half of Equestria and Neighpon is on the left half, and is the more popular tourist spot. They have more technological advancements than us, but that's because Japone is more traditional. We only bring advancements in when needed. It's worked out so far, but it also means that Japone doesn't get a lot of tourists." She explained. "Oh... That explains a lot..." Lighting muttered to himself. "I WANTED A LOCATION NOW!" A grey alicorn shouted at a blue unicorn. He cowered in fear and said "B-but S-sir H-hades...." "I WANT NO FAILURE NEXT TIME!" He shouted in a voice that could rival the royal canterlot voice. He swiftly nodded and ran as fast as he could away from his master. The alicorn walked through a door and looked at himself in the mirror. He stared at his reflection as his dark purple eyes glittered with dark magic. He grabbed a rag and polished his slightly curved horn. He thre the rag in the corner and levitated a brush in his blood red aura and started to brush his blood red mane, which he had accented by some deep purple. His tail was the same shade and hue. His cutiemark was a bit different, however, It was a circle with lines that looked like a two triangles overlapping each other, or in other words, a summoning circle. Hades looked up and started to brush the soft layer of fuzz that covered his demonic bat-like wings. He pulled his head up and smiled as he saw a small note be slipped under his door. Using his magic he grabbed it and read it. "Perfect..." He said, drawing out his vowels.
Side chapter 2: New StudentMoon Tear was walking out of the teacher's lounge. She had eaten her morning breakfast and had wished her son a good day. Even though she was a threstral, she had her own duties after left the night guard. She walked into the tech lab and greeted Blue Moon. "Ah, Moon! I want to talk to you after school about Crescent's training and grades. But anyways, You're on digital energy duty today. Report when a new Digidestined or a new tamer is detected. Ok?" He instructed. "On it." She said, walking to the familiar magical detecting equipment. She looked at the paper that was printing out and saw surges coming from the island. "Firey Fastball!" Something yelled as a massive fireball came shooting in the window, barely singeing a couple wings and horns. Moon looked out the window and saw a orange pegasus and a red dragon type digimon being surounded by wild Doggymon. Even though this island was in the real world, wild digimon could very easily find a crack into this world and run in. Moon Tear quickly flew down and kicked a doggymon away from the poor pegasus. Even though she had a digimon, it was still very injured. "What's your name?!" S he asked urgently to the scared pegasus. "P-Penny whistle... And that's shouty." She said, pointing a hoof at the digimon. "It's short for Shoutmon- AUUGH!" He cried as he got attacked again. "ROCK AND ROLLER!!!" Shouty shouted, enraged. He hit away all the doggymon that jumped at him. A doggymon leaped torward Moon, and moon quickly jumped back. "If only shade was here!" She shouted over the commotion. "Darkness wave!" a familiar voice shouted. From a large crack came a black demonic digimon, who suddenly cast a wave of batlike creatures at the doggymon, causing them to run away. "S-shade..." Moon said, tearing up a bit. "Oh hello, Moon. Long time, No see. How's life been treating you." Shade said, floating over. "I-Is that LadyDevimon?!" Shouty said, before collapsing from exhaustion. "We better get your digimon some help Penny." Moon said. Penny nodded as shade picked Shouty up and carried him inside. A few minutes later.... Penny Whistle sat besides her injured shoutmon as the nurse bandaged him up. Penny looked to the hallway, waiting for Moon to come back. "Yes, I'll be there in time for lunch Crescent, Don't worry... I'll be there soon..." Moon said from outside the hallway. Penny turned her attention away and back to her shoutmon. "Ugh... What happened..." He said, rubbing his head. "You fainted." Shade said from the shadows. "Wait... So I didn't dream that LadyDevimon..." Shoutmon said, a hint of fear in his voice. "Yup. I'm as real as you are an idiot." She said with a smirk on her face. Shoutmon jumped up and shouted "What's that supposed to mean!!???" Shade just laughed and disappeared back into the shadowy corner. Moon walked in and said "Well, good news is, I just talked to Blue Moon and he said you can stay here or you can go home, without shoutmon, which is the bad news. But, If you do stay, you'll get the necessary training to become more closer with him and also to help defend against attacks like in the forest. Penny held Shoutmon tight and said "I want to stay with shouty... I can handle whatever you throw at me! Just let me stay!" Moon smiled and said "Sure, Blue Moon said it was ok. If you see my son, Cresent Blade anywhere, make sure you say hi to him... He's been acting a bit strange... I think he has his eye on somepony. If you know what I mean.." Penny giggled a bit and said "Sure thing... I never got your name... did I?" "It's Moon Tear Nocturnis. Just call me Mrs tear though... I'll be your beginners dueling teacher, so I'll see you then." She said, walking out with Shade materializing behind her. "Its good to be back, Moon." She said. "Its good to have you back..." Moon said, smiling. Penny walked into the hall and was soon bumped into by a different dragon digimon, who was covered head to toe in mud. "So sorry but Rainy is trying to give me a bath! Gotta go!!!" It said as it ran off. "DRACOMON!! GET BACK HERE!!" A blue earth pony shouted as she ran down the hallway after the speeding digimon. "What's with them?" Shouty said, laughing a bit. "I don't know... Hey, did you happen to catch where we were supposed to sleep?" Penny asked Shouty. He shrugged and watched as a brown unicorn with an electric blue mane and tail dragged the same dracomon down the hallway with a electric blue aura. It was being pushed by a digimon that was looked like a deer with a helmet floating on a cloud. The blue mare ran ahead, shouting something about drawing the bath. There was silence before shouty broke it by breaking into laughter. END OF PART ONE!!! wait wait wait... THAT'S IT???!!! Uhh Yes shoutmon.... I need a break too sometimes... But... What about all that card stuff and digimodify and the fight??? ... Next side chapter. But bui bu- GET OUT OF THIS STUDIO SHOUTMON!!
Chapter Five: this isn't drama class!Essence yawned as she walked alongside Night to their first class; Digimon 101. "Why are you here again?" She whined at Night. "To protect you." He said, sternly. Essence sighed as she pushed the door to the classroom open. Inside was ponies and digimon of different types. She reconized some from the cafeteria but she had no idea what the names were. "Welcome! Come take a seat!" Said a cheery voice from behind the desk. It was a red unicorn mare with brown oval glasses. She had an orange mane that was cut down to the start of her thigh. It had a light streak of peach in it as well. her tail was the same colors but it was more wavy than straight. Her cutie mark was a cloud with a rainbow tailing behind it, with a sun just emerging behind it. "I'll be your teacher for this class, My name is sunset storm. But you can call me Mrs. storm, sunny or anything else. I don't really mind." Sunset said, welcoming the two pegasi into the class. They nodded and sat down in the only two available seats. Essence looked to her left and saw Crescent was sitting there beside her. She blushed a bit and waved. Crescent did the same, his cheeks growing a deeper shade of red. "Who is that?" Night whispered to Essence. "Just... a friend..." she whipered in reply, her cheeks still full glow. "Then why are you blushing?" He whispered back. She quicky turned away and decided to focus on the teacher. "Now who would like to tell us what their digimon partner's attribute is?" She asked. One pony raised her hoof. "Would anypony besides Rainy days like to tell us what their partner's attribute is?" She asked again, ignoring the hoof. Again the hoof was still up but this time a claw came out of the sea of ponies, griffons and a few dragon hybrids. "Ah Gilda! So nice for you to volunteer." Sunset said, clapping her hooves together. "Psh. Whatever." She said, walking up with a very strange digimon behind her. "This is Stryke. He's a Strikedramon " She said, turning torward the class. "He's a vaccine attribute, but in my opinion he's better at being a virus Attribute." She said, the last part under her breath. Stryke roared as to demonstrate her point. They both turned around and went back to their seats. Stryke was a bit too big to fit so he stood at the back. "All right, Thank you gilda, This brings us to our lesson of the day: Digimon Attributes." Sunset said, levitating a piece of chalk in a chocolate brown aura. She wrote the word Attributes on the board. "Now who can tell me the three main attributes?" She asked. It seemed like Rainy got the message and kept her hoof down this time. A grey hoof shot into the air. "Lucky Clover?" The stallion it was attached to stood up. "The three main attributes are Vaccine, Virus and Data... Right?" He said, his voice wavering with worry. "Don't worry Lucky, You got it right. Take a seat please." Lucky sat down, relieved. Essence silently applauded him, she felt like it was the right thing to do. Sunset proceeded to write the attributes on the board. "As you may or may not know, these attributes counter each other in a way. Vaccine attribute digimon are weaker against data digimon than they are against virus. Virus digimon are weaker to vaccine digimon than they are to data. Data is weaker to virus than to vaccine. The most dangerous of the bunch would be virus digimon. There are some that are nice, like Guilmon for instance, but all virus digimon share the same trait: When they get angry, nothing will stop them until they get their prize. Or they're defeated, which ever comes first." Sunset explained. Essence wrote this down with fascination. "But, there are some digimon that are classified as virus, but are harmless as a data type. Such as, FanBeemon. These digimon are scavengers, they are the same as worker bees when called on by a queen. Except when a tamer has one. They are classified as virus because to repair a hive, they use natural and stolen data. That mean's they will get it by any means nessesary." Sunset said, writing a few points on the chalkboard. "Unfortunately... No one in this school has seen a tamed FanBeemon." She ended. When FanBeemon heard this he zoomed out of Essence's saddlebags. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE TAKE IT BY ANY MEANS NESSESARY!?" He screamed at sunset. "Oh no... FanBeemon..." Essence groaned and slammed her head repeatedly into the desk. "Essence is my tamer and I may have not been in a hive for long... or ever for that fact but..." He said, not having anything to counter with. "Oh... My..." Sunset gasped. Fanbeemon hovered back to Essence and landed on her desk. All eyes turned toward Essence. "FanBeemon..." Essence groaned. "What?" He chirped. "You're name is Essence right?" Sunset asked. Essence nodded and said "Essence Wing, Sister to Night Wing." "Don't get me Involved." Night said, roughly. "Right, Essence, can you step up to the front, please?" Sunset said. Essence followed her instructions. "Please tell us how you managed to tame a FanBeemon. If you don't mind of course." Sunset Storm asked. "Uh, Sure. He came to me as an egg. End of story. Chapter six: Attack on campus!Essence walked out in the hallway after class was finished. She kept getting strange looks from the other ponies and creatures as she walked out, most of them directed at FanBeemon. "Hey! Dweeb!" Said a voice as Esssence turned around to greet it. "Uh, Hi?" She said. "Name's Gilda, and I won't have any new mare come and get more popular than me! Got it?!" Gilda Shrieked in Essence's face. "Well.. Uh, We won't! So, Nice-" Essence said as she turned away. Gilda put a claw on her back and said "You're not off the hook just yet, Me, You, bring your digimon. We're settling this with a duel after class." Strikedramon suddenly had a insane grin form on his face. "Don't be late, otherwise that's a forfeit!" Gilda yelled as she sauntered away, eager to show Essence who's the most popular here. "Is CorruptedUnimon ready?" Hades shouted from atop a platform. "Ready sir!" Yelled a little blue dinosaur holding a M16 Assault rifle. "Good... Comandramon? Get Huckmon for me. He needs to see this to grow a backbone. " Hades said. "Sir yes sir!" Commandramon shouted as he ran down a hallway. Hades watched as a large Alicorn-like digimon was escorted out by many pegasi and earth ponies. The digimon had a pitch black helmet and his wings were torn and a bloody red color. He was struggling to escape but every time he would be shot with a stun spell from a few unicorns hanging in the shadows. "NEEEEIIIIGH WHY MUST I SUFFER???" He cried out, obviously insane. Hades smiled coldy as he swept his hoof out toward the door, signaling for the attack. CorruptedUnimon whinnied and flew out the giant door. "L-Lord Hades?" A small voice cried out. Essence moaned as she found out her locker was 3 away from Gilda's. The griffin met her with a cold glare and a grin. She slammed her locker and walked away, flicking her tail behind her. "Why does this happen to me..." Essence moaned, hitting her head against her locker door. Suddenly a huge boom sounded out and shook the entire school. Red lights flared with magic as teachers escorted their students outside. Essence saw Lighting and Rainy running outside. She and night followed, as well as the digimon. What they saw attacking, was terrifying. "IS THAT AS UNIMON?!" Rainy's dracomon screeched. "I-i think it is Draco." Rainy said. "Draco?" He deadpanned. "Yeah, I since there is more than one Dracomon at this school, why not call you Draco?" Rainy explained. "Fine... Just take out your digivice and digivolve me so I can kick some tail..." Draco said, facepalming. "Fine... DIGIVOLVE!" Rainy called out as she held up a blue and white digivice. "Dracomon digivolve to... Coredramon!" He ran as fast as he could and jumped into the sky, taking off. "Woah! Coredramon green!" Lightning gasped. "Well, that was unexpected..." Rainy muttered. "Since Draco has digivolved into Coredramon green, he won't be as good in the air. Night! Digivolve your dracomon with your digivice!" Lightning cried out. Night pulled out a green and black digivice and watched as DIGIVOLUTION scrolled across the screen. "Uh, Ok Digivolve?" He said. Nothing happened. "You got to put your heart and soul into it. There has to be trust between a tamer and their digimon for them to digivolve." Lightning informed Night. He rolled his eyes and shouted "DIGIVOLVE." There was a slight delay before Night's Dracomon began to glow. "Dracomon Digivolve to... Coredramon!" Night stood there in amazment as his Coredramon sped into the air, trying to catch up with Draco. "Can I help essence?!" FanBeemon asked eagerly. "I'm sorry FanBeemon, Three champions against one champion seems like it would delete the digimon. We only want to calm it down and sent it home." Lightning explained. Fanbeemon sighed and buzzed onto Essence's back. Both Night and Rainy galloped over to where their digimon were battling. "COREDRAMON!" Draco shouted as he began to sink lower and lower. "Get him closer to the ground!" Draco shouted again as he fell to the ground with a deafening crash. "Alright!" Coredramon shouted as he zoomed higher until he got above Unimon. "Blue Flare Breath!" He cried out as he spat out a stream of blue flames. "Aerial Attack!" Unimon shouted as he launched a big sphere of energy to counter the flames. They pushed against each other for a while until Coredramon put a bit more energy behind his Blue Flare Breath attack. The flames burst the sphere and it continued on until it hit Unimon's wings. Unimon screamed as he fell on the ground with a thump. "Right now It's my turn! Strike Bomber!" Yelled Draco. He ran forward at full speed and jumped over Unimon, having his tail slash at him. Unimon screamed in pain and started to thrash about. "This is very unusual behavior for a vaccine type..." Lightning muttered. Lighting lit his horn and used his lighting magic to trap Unimon in a cage of lighting. "HEHEHEE!!! PRETTY LITTLE PONIES WON'T STOP HAAADEEEEESSSS AND CORRUPTUNIMON!" Unimon cackled as he thrashed around, shocking himself whenever he would slam into a wall. "What is the matter with this Unimon?!" Rainy said, agitated. Both Coredramons dropped behind their partners, Prepared to attack if needed. "Rainy! Essence! Find Blue Moon. This is very important!" Lighting grunted. Keeping the cage up was beginning to strain his magic so Essence and Rainy knew they had to find him quickly. To be continued...
Side Chapter 3: Eons ago. Author's note As you can tell, this one exists in two time periods; The past and the present. ish. The digimon academy didn't exist here at the past time period. This one was difficult so I'm sorry if it's a bit rough. Eon flipped through a book he found just lying on the ground. His interest was peaked when he found the book mentioned an academy for digimon and tamers. "BlackAgumon, Come see this." He said as his partner ran over. "Yeah? What's that?" BlackAgumon said, pointing a claw at the school. "I don't know, but whoever made this book got the date wrong." Eon said, pointing a hoof at the date in the caption. "It could have come from the future. You never know with us digimon." BlackAgumon simply replied. That got Eon thinking. "So what we going to do?" BlackAgumon asked. "Well, I'm intrigued by this academy, but if it is in the future... How can we get there?" Eon said, picking up some newspaper clipping that he found with the book. All of them mentioned digimon and several ponies working together with them. One picture showed two stallions and two mares with certain digimon fighting a giant digimon that was being comanded by an alicorn with threstal wings. The strangest thing was, there was 5 digimon in the picture, But only four ponies that looked like they were on their side. "Well, Since you're a unicorn can't you do some kind of time travel spell?" BlackAgumon suggested. "No, and even if I could, It's only for brief visits to the future. Plus you can only cast it once per pony. I'd rather not waste it for a short trip to prove useless." Eon explained. Suddenly a wierd whirring sound came from nowhere as a blue box materialized in his house. A dusty brown stallion walked out of the box, coughing. His cutie mark was still covered by dust but it was still able to be seen that it was a hourglass. "Why would the tardis bring me here?!" He shouted at the box. "BlackAgumon! Hide!" Hissed Eon. BlackAgumon dived into the nearest hiding spot he could find. "Oh hello! What's your name?" The stallion said happily, despite his box was smoking. "E-eon." Eon stuttered out. "Ah well Eon my friend! Is there any trouble, problems or dilemmas going about?" The strange pony asked. "Well.. Me and my partner are trying to get to this academy. In the future." Eon told the stallion. The stallion put his hoof to his chin and thought. "Oh I know! I could take you there!" The stallion said, gesturing to the smoking box. "Uh. No offense but, that's just a box with a unicorn doing effects." Eon said. BlackAgumon peeked out from behind his hiding spot and looked the stallion over. He could sense that there was something fishy going on with the box and the stallion. "What? Oh no, You got it all wrong! Just get your partner and follow me!" The pony said, turning toward the box. "Uh even so, it's still smoking." "Ah yes, That would be a problem..." The pony muttered. He walked into the box and closed the door, preventing any smoke from getting out. A second later he opened the doors and less smoke was flying out. "Well, why are you standing there? C'mon! Grab whoever is with you!" The stallion said, getting impatient. "Well, uh, you're not going to take him away?" Eon said. "Sure, now hurry up! Before it breaks again!" Eon levitated BlackAgumon from his hiding spot and ran into the box. He ignored the fact that the box was bigger on the inside than the outside and gave the stallion the book. "Interesting" The stallion muttered and spun some knobs and pulled some levers. The box groaned and wheezed before stopping completely. Eon stepped out of the box, Shocked to find that he's in a new place. He turned around to thank the stallion, but the box was already gone. "Well, atleast he was kind." BlackAgumon said. "BOO!" Yelled a digimon that just suddenly swung out from above the two. Eon and BlackAgumon flinched and stared at the digimon. "Aw come on! You weren't scared at all?!" The digimon yelled. "Haze! Where are you!?" Someone shouted. Eon looked behind the digimon, still hanging upside down, and saw a grey unicorn with dark red glasses hiding red eyes. He had a purple striped vest on and his cutie mark was of two black colored rings, circling around a ball of lightning. Dusk P Volt was having an average day, He was waiting for the bonfire tonight and trying to find his Gazimon, Haze. No doubt he was pestering prank storm to teach him new pranks. He saw the red unicorn who had a bottle of superglue and was gluing a locker down. "Uh.. Prank!" Dusk shouted, causing prank to fumble the bottle in his aura. Dusk winced and automatically regretted his decision. "Oh it's just you, Dusk... Whadda want now?!" Prank snapped. "Sorr-Sorry to bug you.. But have you se-seen Haze?" Dusk explained, hoping it wouldn't blow up in his face. "No I haven't seen that rat you call a digimon. Have you checked outside?!" Prank snapped at him again. The woodmon behind him filled the air with laughter. Dusk retreated back and continued out the nearest exit. "Haze!?" Dusk called out. He saw a bushy tail start going into the forest. "Haze!?" He called again, following the tail. He followed the tail for a bit until he heard a someone say 'BOO!' He started to walked over that way. "Haze! Where are you?!" He called out again. He rounded the corner to see an peach colored unicorn with a white coat on standing with a BlackAgumon. Haze was hanging above them so it's pretty obvious that he was trying to prank them. "Haze. C-come back... It's time for class." Dusk said, levitating Haze away from the strange unicorn. "Aw but.. I was having fun~" Haze wined a bit. "I'm sorry but I really don't want to get another tardy on my record because of you. If it makes it better, I'll let you stuff yourself until you decay of digi-bytes tonight." Dusk bargained. "Fine." haze agreed. What Dusk and Haze didn't notice was Eon and BlackAgumon followed them all the way back, mostly because they were curious. It wasn't until Blue Moon came to investigate that they were brought into the program and set up until the present. They never did figure out what those 5 digimon were doing in the picture. Chapter seven: Corrupt digimon?!Essence and rainy galloped into the crowd of ponies and digimon, Draco, still Coredramon, and FanBeemon following swiftly. "Blue Moon!" They each called as they parted through the crowd. They spotted the blue unicorn talking to a bunch of ponies and digimon. "Blue moon!" Essence cried, gathering the attention of the old unicorn. "What is it?" He asked hastily "Lighting Blast wants to see you! Something about the Unimon that was attacking." Rainy explained. Blue moon raised an eyebrow and began his way over there. Essence and rainy followed with their digimon as well. They stopped to see lighting on the ground, the lighting cage barely holding. Blue Moon lit his horn and suddenly the lightning cage turned into a metal cage. "T-thanks..." Lighting panted. "No problem. Now let's see what's wrong with Unimon." Blue moon said, helping Lighting up. The unimon kept smashing into the bars, trying to weaken them further. Blue moon looked at the unimon and gasped. "It's had it code rewritten somehow..." He said softly. "That explains the black helmet and the red wings.... That does also explains it's behaivor." Lightning said. There was a flash of light as the two Dracomon digivolved back to their rookie forms. "But how does a digimon get it's code rewritten?" Essence asked. "They die, basically. Their data at that point can be changed in anyway it wants. It's how a digimon is reborn as a digiegg when defeated in the digital world after all..." Blue Moon explained. The digimon all looked down while the ponies reacted in a very different way. "That's horrible! Who would kill digimon just to do this to them!?" Essence shouted, enraged. Unimon answered her question by shouting "HAAAAAAAAADDDDDEEEEEeeEeeEeEASSSS~!" Blue Moon's face paled. "He's back?" He muttered. Huckmon crept back in his room after witnessing that horrifying display of digimon cruelity through his Master's magic. "I wish I had a master who wasn't this cruel." Huckmon muttered as he laid down on the pillow that was given to him to sleep on. His room was really comandramon's room with a pillow in the corner. But still, Hades promised him he would be treated as well as he wanted to be treated. "He's doing this for the best... Right?" he muttered to himself. "HUCKMON! GET YOUR METAL TAIL OUT HERE NOW!" Comandramon's voice rang out from the hallway. Huckmon sighed and said "Co~ming!" And marched out the door. Classes ensued as usual for the group of 4 ponies, besides that half of the classes were canceled due to a certain digimon attack. So basically, the ponies got the rest of the days to themselves. "Hey FanBeemon?" Essence said, lazing around on her bed. "Hm?" "I was feeling like you need a nickname. I mean everypony does it in this school." "Hm." He simply replied again. "How about Wasp? Or Stripes?" "Wasp sounds good." "Are you ok?" Essence said, flying down to the chair where FanBeemon was. "I'm worried OK? Wouldn't you if other creatures you knew were being destroyed and then remade?" He said. Essence wrapped her wings around him and said "Don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt you. Be it digimon or pony." "Thanks. I'm glad we're partners." "Me too..." Over in the boys area, Night was getting used to living in a dorm. There was mostly mares here, because we all know that there is more mares than stallions in equestria, so he got his own dorm room. Most stallions had roommates but somehow they had one left that was empty. "So, since there is two dracomon, Mind callin' me ace?" Dracomon said, a smirk pasted on his face. "Fine." Night said. "Jeez, You never smile do you?" Ace said. Night remained quiet. "Fine... Don't talk to me... See if I care." Ace said. The door suddenly swung open to see a shocked Crescent Blade standing in the doorway. "What are you doing in my room!?" He asked Night. "I was assigned this room. Blue Moon never told me anything about roomates." "Roommates?!" Crescent said, shocked. "Apparently we're roommates now so get used to it." Night said. Nightfury looked out from behind his trainer and said "Should we tell Blue Moon?" "He's busy with the Unimon. We'll tell him later..." Crescent said entering the room and closing the door after nightfury came through. Lightning paced back and forth in the lab. "ugh... When is going to come through..." He muttered. "Relax lightning... Momentai." Tapirmon said. "I see you went back to using that phrase." lightning said, laughing. "It's not my fault that one Terriermon told me that." He said, laughing as well. "Well, I guess not." Lightning said. Suddenly a red light lit up in the room "What!?" He rushed over. The magical machine spat out paper filled with lines to the brim. "A new digidestined..." He gasped.
Chapter Eight: Royal monarch visitEssence sighed as she took one last flight around the school. It's been a couple of days since the attack and nopony had cracked the mystery behind the Unimon. worse, the upper floors were still damaged somewhat. What she did spot was a royal carriage landing with a cage expansion but that was usually used to transport prisoners. It landed on walkway of the school as a mass of ponies began to flood out of the doors and from outside. Essence flew down and spotted her friends and landed next to them. Wasp hovered lazily next to Rainy as Essence landed. "Essence! What's going on?!" He cried out in terror. "I have no idea..." She muttered. The carriage doors opened to reveal a white alicorn, a midnight blue alicorn, a smaller purple alicorn, and a pink alicorn. "The monarchs of Equestria..." Rainy gasped and followed everypony as bowed in their own respective ways. The digimon just stared, awestruck on the powerful monarchs of equestria. From a seprate carriage six other ponies stepped out, a cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane, a pink earth pony with a poofy pink mane, a orange earth pony with a yellow mane tied up in a ponytail, a white unicorn with a purple swirled mane, a yellow pegasus with a light pink mane and finally, a grey pegasus with a yellow mane and crossed eyes. "The elements..." Crescent said, slightly shocked. Following the grey pegasus was a sort of dog-like animal. "Is it me or does that dog look like a digimon?" Draco asked. "Labramon." Nightfury answered. "Huh?" Draco asked in reply. Nightfury shook his head and said "Labramon is dog kind of digimon. They're supposed to be loyal and pretty tough. It doesn't look like most of these ponies know about Labramon. He's lucky he's not a different digimon. That would have caused a panic in the town she comes from." "Oh..." The white alicorn, or otherwise known as Princess Celestia, stepped up to a the crowd and guestured to rise. She stared out on to the sea of digimon and ponies. "My little ponies, I've received a letter saying something about a 'Viral Digimon'? And not one of normal?" She asked. Several ponies started talking before the blue alicorn's, otherwise known as Princess Luna, horn shone a light blue aura and a high pitched whistle sound emitted from it. "Thank you Luna," Celestia said before turning and facing the group of scientists who just came beside her. "How does Princess Celestia know about digimon?" Essence asked aloud. "Princess Celestia is the one who made this school possible. Princess Luna might have been the first pony to get a digimon. We don't know though..." Rainy informed Essence. "Oh, But I'm guessing Princess Twilight and Princess Cadenza doesn't know. Nor do the elements." Essence said. "She prefers to be called Princess Cadence, though..." Rainy pointed out. "Oh." Celestia turned to speak to Twilight and Cadence before she left with luna, following the scientist. When the princesses were gone, the crowd began to disperse as a few ponies began to migrate over to where the elements are and the princesses. however, a pegasus and two griffons, including Gilda, were walking over to the grey mare. "We better go see what's going on." Rainy said. The group nodded and walked torwards the mare. ~~(-0-)~/|~(-0-)~~ "L-leave me alone..." Ditzy Doo cried out as the griffin she reconized as Gilda tossed her Labramon around. "Aw is poor wittle Derp eyes gonna cry to her mommy?" a griffon with black feathers on his head and deep brown fur teased her. "Ditzy! Don't worry I can- Oof- Take them!" Her labramon cried out as he got tossed to the electric yellow pegasus and back to the black feathered griffon. "Biscuit!" She cried as he got tossed to Gilda's strikedramon. "Ha! It's been a while since a dweeb like you has come around!" Gilda cackled. "Pyro grenade!" Nightfury yelled as he shot a missle of black fire towards strikedramon. It struck the strikedramon right in the shoulder, causing him to drop Biscuit. "Ditzy!" He yelled as he ran into her open hooves. "What!?" Gilda yelled. "You shouldn't pick on innocent digimon, or ponies who have medical problems. It's just not right." Crescent said. The three laughed and the pegasus said "What are you gonna do nerd?! Read us a comic book?!" "I wouldn't say that Jumpstart." Nightfury lit his mouth up again with gastly black fire. Strikedramon stepped in the way and smirked. Crescent held up his digivice and shouted "DIGIVOLVE!" "Blackguilmon digivolve to... BlackGrowlmon!" The griffon whistled with and a Floramon stepped out from the bushes. The griffon held up a digivice in his claw and shouted "DIGIVOLVE!" "Floramon digivolve to... Ninjamon!" Jumpstart knew that they were at a disadvantage so he quickly took to the air, back to the cloud dorms. "Oh no you don't!" Night yelled as he and Essence took to the sky to follow. Rainy stayed back to help Ditzy up. "Biscuit... We need to help!" Ditzy said. Biscuit nodded and jumped on the ninjamon. "Retriever....G!" Biscuit roared in the ninjamon's face, knocking him back. "Ninja Knife Throwing!" Ninjamon threw a giant throwing star at Biscuit, who unfortunately was a tiny bit too slow to dodge. His tail got caught in the blade and got pinned to a tree. "NO!" Ditzy cried, galloping over to Labramon. "Exhaust Flame!" Nightfury yelled, stream of fire spewing from his mouth. Strikedramon dodged then continued to strike at him. Nightfury kept striking back as well. Suddenly a golden glow erupted from the ground near ditzy. In the glow's place was a grey digivice. It had the words DIGIVOLUTION scrolling across. "Huh?" Ditzy said, picking the digivice up. "Hold it up and shout Digivolve with all your heart." Rainy instructed. Ditzy nodded and yelled "DIGIVOLVE!!!" "Labramon digivolve to... Seasarmon!" Biscuit pulled out the throwing star and tossed it at the Ninjamon. The ninjamon caught it and stuck it on it's back. "TEE DIA!!" Biscuit shouted, sending a rain of arrows down on the Ninjamon, catapulting it back and reverting it back to Floramon. The griffon ran forward and caught his digimon as it fell, then flew off. "COWARD!" Gilda screamed at him. "Shall we finish this, Biscuit?" Nightfury asked Biscuit. He nodded. "TEE DIA!" "EXHAUST BREATH!" "STRIKE FANG!" Strikedramon charged forward, getting hit by the fire and the arrows. But before he could hit them he was sent flying back the force of the combined attacks. He landed on the ground, reverting back to his rookie form, Monodramon. Gilda grabbed him and scoffed. "You're all lucky that you won. You won't be next time..." She hissed and flew off. "What was her deal?" Lightning said as he walked torwards the group. "You have no idea..." Rainy said. Ditzy grabbed her digimon as he reverted back to Labramon and walked up to Crescent. "Thanks for saving me. I'm Ditzy Doo... Though my friends always call me Derpy Hooves." She introduced herself, holding out her hoof. "Crescent Blade. This is Nightfury." He said, taking the hoof and shaking. Nightfury just nodded. "I'm Rainy Days and this is Draco!" Rainy said, holding out her hoof. Ditzy took it and shook it. Draco shook her hoof as well. "I'm Lightning Blast and the two that flew off were Essence and Night Wing. Oh this is also Tapirmon." As if on cue, Essence and Night landed beside them. "He got away..." Night said, roughly. "Well, too bad. I'd better check up on the Princesses. If you need anything Ditzy, Just ask." Lighting said, galloping off. Ditzy waved goodbye as she turned around. "We better get you settled into a dorm then, Ditzy!" Essence said, gleefully. Ditzy smiled as she was greeted by all the students who were attracted by the fight. Today was a good day for the Derp eyed mare.
Chapter nine: Something witty about love.Essence yawned as she woke up to a very rainy day, and not the kind she was living with. "Darn..." She muttered. Essence flew down to the floor to wake up rainy was gone. However, there was a note on the table. She picked it up and read it. Essence, I won't be here when you wake up because I wanted to show Ditzy around before the rainstorm that was scheduled today hit. I should be done by the time you see this so meet me in the mess hall. Rainy. (And draco!) She put the note back and shook wasp. "Mmm... Five more minutes..." He muttered and turned on his side. "What a lazy digimon..." Essence said, picking him up. She put him on her back and started to make her way down to the mess hall/Cafeteria. "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO MAKE SURE THAT THOSE PRISSY PRINCESSES DON'T GET INVOLVED!" Hades roared at a group of ponies. "W-we tried b-but they caught on quick!" A white pegasus stallion with a blue mane said, cowering under the gaze of his master. "... I'm sick of ponies who are idiots... Send them to get their memories erased and dump them in a random part of equestria. Preferably the Everfree." Hades order a couple digimon. "NO WAIT PLEAAASEE!" The stallion yelled as he was dragged away by the digimon. There were zaps and screams as the ponies tried to resist. "Don't worry... It won't hurt... It'll drive you insane..." He said, laughing viciously. Huckmon watched from around the corner as his master forced those ponies to their doom. He turned towards the hallway, then to an open door. He shook his head and sprinted down the hallway and down a secret floor tile. Essence walked down the staircase leading to the bottom floor and looked around. It was saturday, but where was everypony? She walked down a hallway leading to a room with a sign taped over it. It read: 'Club registration' "Huh... Wadda know..." She muttered to herself. She peeked in the window and saw a huge room with lots of ponies, hybrids and griffons either running stands or signing papers. Lighting was standing at a booth directly straight ahead that read 'Magic lessons.' "This must be how the we get the outside education... I guess..." She muttered to herself. "Oh h-hey Essence..." A voice said behind her. Essence turned around and saw her nose to nose with Crescent. "OHMYGOSH I'M SO SORRY!" She blurted out, blushing madly. "No It's my fault!" Crescent blurted out as well, his face equally on fire. There was a silence between the two as they just stared at the ground. "S-so... *Cough* What did you n-need?" Essence said, breaking the silence. "O-oh right! Uh.. I was coming to ask if you w-were going to sign up for anything." He said. "Uh... I really don't know... I mean... I've got alot going on.. and..." She lied, hoping to move this awkward conversation to the trash. "It's ok, I'm really not sure if there's any clubs I like either." He said, laughing a bit. Essence smiled and laughed as well. "Hm... WHERE AM I?!" Wasp yelled as he suddenly woke up. "Wasp calm down! It's ok!" Essence shouted at him, her cheeks growing beet red again. Crescent chuckled a bit at that. 'OH MY CELESTIA HIS LAUGH!! It's so adorable!!!' Essence couldn't help but think. *Pomf* Essence's wings suddenly stuck straight up at that thought. Essence's eyes met Crescents. 'Oh... PONYFEATHERS!!!' She thought. The staring intensified as both their cheeks grew a deeper red. "MEEP!" She squeaked as she flew out of there, speeds rivaling the sonic rainboom. "What did I miss?" Nightfury asked as he returned from somewhere. "Uh... Much.." Crescent said, dreamily. Essence sat up on a beam she found no one but pegasi or flying digimon could find. Must have been put in for that purpose. "Ooh... Why were Pegasi cursed to have those..." She muttered to herself, her cheeks still full flare. "Essence?" A voice said. "Not now Night..." She said, hoping he would go away. "Ok... Who's the lucky stallion?" He said, sounding a bit different. "Night, are you... Smiling?" Essence teased, poking her head upside down. Sure enough she could see the smallest of grins. "Ok you got me, The royal guard inside me has broken." He said, laughing. Essence giggled and flew down, leaving Wasp on his own. She quickly hugged her brother and dug her face in his soft fur. "Y'know... Hearth's Warming Eve is coming up. Any idea what to get that special somepony?" He teased. "Stop it!!!" Essence said, pushing away from him. They shared a laugh and essence said "I have an idea what to get Rainy though." "Oh yeah? What?" "It's a secret! I know you'll tease her about it, and she'll do anything to get it out." Essence said. "Wow, it hasn't been a week and you already know everything about her?" Night replied. "No, it's how she sort of acted on the first day." Essence simply said. "Well, I'm going out for a second. Don't get into any trouble, ya hear?" Night said, playfully pushing essence. "I get it, I get it... I better go find Rainy and Ditzy. They should be back by now... also take a coat. It's still pouring out." Essence said. "Ok." Night said, walking towards the stallion's dorms. Essence flew back up to the area where she left Wasp to find him asleep. Again. "What am I going to do with you..." She sighed. She picked him up and flew down the hall, back to her dorm. What she didn't know was two eyes were watching from the forest, through the window. "So... This is who's stopping Master Hades? This is too easy..." The being said, disappearing back into the shadows.
Chapter Diez: A gift for the seasons! Part numero uno.(I made the chapter title spanish, so what?) Rainy awoke to see Essence was sneaking out of the room. "Now where is she going this late?" Rainy muttered. She gently shook draco, who of course woke up screaming. "Calm down!!" Rainy tried to assure him. "Oh, It's just you Rainy..." Soon there was a soft knock at the door. Draco ran up and opened the door. "Hi rainy!" Ditzy said, walking in. "Oh hello Ditzy! Hello Biscuit!" Rainy said with a smile. "Heya!" Biscuit said, jumping onto draco. "Get offa mee!" He whined. The mares giggled at his little problem. "That's enough, Biscuit." Ditzy said, still giggling a little. "So are you ready?" She added. "Oh yeah! I forgot about shopping!" Rainy cried out, hitting her forehead with a hoof. "Well, We better get going. Lightning told me about a boat that leaves on saturdays and sundays to take ponies to the.... Uh..." She said. "The mainland?" Draco suggested. "Yeah! But, He did tell me that our digimon have to stay behind... for safety sake you know?" Dizty said. "Yes, i know. I've done it before." Rainy said, slipping her saddle bags on. "Oh I'm such an airhead somedays... I'm sorry." Ditzy replied, sadly. "Don't be. Well, we better get going if we want to buy hearth warming gifts for our friends." Rainy said, walking out the door. They arrived at the boat a little later. "Good morning Lightning!" Rainy said, cheerfully. "Oh hey rainy. Good morning Ditzy." He said. "Is Crescent and Night with you?" Rainy asked. "No, But they should be coming soon." Soon enough Night and Crescent came galloping up to the port. "hey night, Hey Crescent." Lighting said. "hey." They both said. "Is Essence with you?" Rainy asked. "No, I haven't seen her." Night said. Crescent's Cheeks turned a light pink as he said "Uh N-nope!" "I saw her flying in the direction of the port, She must have left on the one before this." Lighting said. "She must be shopping for us." Ditzy said. "Or for you guys I mean..." She added, recoiling back a bit. "Now who's to say that you're not our friend?" Rainy said, throwing a hoof on her back. "R-really... I've never had too many friends... Because of my eyes... They all thing I'm stupid or something..." She sniffed. "If the digital world thinks you're amazing enough to have a digimon, Then you must be an amazing mare!" Lighting said. There was a loud foghorn that drowned out what Ditzy said next. "Oh before we leave, I've got something that just came out of the lab today." Lightning said, reaching into his saddle bags. He pulled out four small items that had were each ponies respective digivice colors. "You see that small plug in point... here?" He said, pointing to a small hole beside the antenna. They all nodded. Lightning took a orange one and plugged it into his digivice. The screen lit up before it faded again, emitting a ding sound. "Tapirmon! Release!" He shouted, putting a hoof on top of the item. There was a flash of light before Tapirmon was standing in front of him. "See? Oh, to bring them back into the Digivice, you say your partner's name and download. " He said. "Woah.." They all said. He hoofed over the other ones and the others tried it out. "This so cool! Now we can bring our digimon with us!" Ditzy cried out. "But, Just promise that you won't bring your digimon out, unless it's an emergency." Lightning said. They all shook their heads. "Good, Now then, We should get aboard, I don't think they'll wait any longer." They downloaded their digimon and boarded the boat. An hour later they saw the only big city in japone, Hiroshimare. "Woah, So is this where you live Night?" Lightning asked. "No, We live in Yokoneigha. It's close to Hiroshimare." Night replied. There was a loud, magically produced foghorn as the boat slowed to a stop. "Well, I guess I'd better find Essence." Night said, taking off. "Bye!" A voice called from the digivice. "Huh?" Ditzy said, looking at her digivice. Sure enough, Biscuit was there. "Huh... Well, That's cool..." Ditzy said. "Ditzy! Come on! We gotta get shopping!" Rainy said, pulling Ditzy. "O-ok!" "Ooh Do you think Lightning would like this?" Ditzy said, picking up a pin shaped like a blue lightning bolt. "It looks like his cutie mark, Why not." Rainy said. Ditzy tossed a few bits on the counter and the mare running the stand thanked them. Rainy took it and put it in her saddle bag. "What do you think Lightning would like? I got Essence a necklace that surprisingly had her cutie mark on it, I got night that book, I got you nothing yet... Well that than must mean I got Crescent... Nothing!!!!" She said, panicking at the end. "Relax, I really don't know what he likes but I've seen him out reading comics on a good day. Maybe we can get him some? I know the power ponies are pretty good." Rainy suggested. Ditzy nodded and began to walk to the bookstore. "Do you think Lightning would like this tome?" Rainy said, flipping through a book about electric magic. "Well, it's his cutie mark. He must." Ditzy said, flipping through a power ponies comic. "I'll take it!" They both shouted at the same time. They both stopped and giggled a bit. They payed for their books and walked out. "So, I got Essence, a journal, Night, a book on swordplay, Lightning, A electric magic tome, Crescent, an issue of spidermane, I haven't gotten anything for you yet... What do you like?" Rainy said. "Hmm... Muffins! And baking. You must also stop buying everypony books. We need to get gift for our... you know what... too." Ditzy replied. "Well, then I need to make a quick stop, Do you want to go buy for me?" "Well, I have no idea what you like..." "Well, that's easy! Gardening and books!" Rainy said, tossing ditzy some bits. "Ok, I should probably buy for the... D-I-G-I-M-O-N as well..." Ditzy said. "Same, Meet at the square when we're all done?" Rainy asked. Ditzy nodded and they both ran off. Rainy ran into a small baking store. "Welcome!!" The clerk at the counter said. "May I help you?" She said, coming around the counter. "Uh yeah, Do you have anything on muffins? Or anything related?" Rainy asked. "Well, We have this muffin recipe book. It's twenty bits." She said, running to the back and picking up a book. "Deal." She said, giving the shop keeper twenty bits. "Have a merry hearths warming!" The clerk said, happily. Ditzy ran back to the bookstore and looked down the books about gardening. "How to garden... How to get a cutie mark about gardening... Ah! Plants and you: all about plant species!" Ditzy read off as she picked up a book with a poison joke flower on the cover. She put it on the counter and the clerk checked it out. "Have a merry hearths warming!" He said, waving as ditzy left. She immediately took off for a few other stores. "Oh hey Ditzy! Did I keep you waiting?" Rainy asked cheerfully. "No! I just got here! Are you ready to leave? I picked up some wrapping paper as well, so don't worry." "Good! I totally forgot!" Rainy said, laughing. "I guess the colts will come back when they need too, so we don't have to worry about them barging in." Ditzy said. They shared a laugh as they walked back to the boat. They both went up to ditzy's dorm when they got back to the academy. "Ooh! Why does tape have to be so sticky!" Draco complained as he tried to wrap Wasp's present from rainy. They mares already wrapped their presents and their digimon's presents so they didn't have to worry about them finding out "Here." Ditzy said, untangling his arms. "I used to be a mailmare, so I know how to deal with tape." She said, laughing a bit. "Neato!" Rainy said, setting a present off to the side. The whole room turned and stared at her. "I promise I will never say that again." Rainy said. "Good, I don't think I could take it next time." Draco said. Biscuit suddenly woke up as the smell of gingerbread cookies wafted throughout the dorm. "Ooh! Cookies are ready!" Ditzy said, running to the kitchen. She pulled out four gingerbread ponies from the small oven they all had in their dorms. It was small to reduce the chance of fire. A giant fire was the last thing this school needed. Ditzy put the cookies on four plates and poured three glasses of milk and one bowl. Rainy got up to help when she saw ditzy was struggling. "Thanks." Ditzy said, placing the bowl of milk in front of Biscuit. She placed a cookie as well down in front of him. "This was the best day ever, Ditzy." Rainy said, taking a bite of the gingerbread pony. "Yes, Yes it was." Ditzy said, biting the head off of hers.
Chapter Shíyī: A gift for the seasons! Part Hàomǎ Liǎng(Today's lucky language was Chinese! I did use Google translate for it so... yeah... sorry. Also read to when they got onto the boat to make sense of today's chapter) Crescent stepped off the boat and said his goodbyes. "So... It's just you and me?" Night said. "Yep..." Crescent replied dryly. a little while later Night got done with all his shopping. "So. What are you going to get?" Night asked, dryly. "I know you hate me, but jeez... If we're stuck together for the next... 3 hours or so, you could atleast act like you enjoy it." Crescent said. "Fine..." Night sighed. "What's your problem with me anyways??" Crescent asked. "It's.... Essence. I just want to make sure she doesn't get hurt, even if it means I need to be critical about everything she does. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her. She means the world to me. If she wasn't there... I'd honestly see nothing of worth in this world anymore... And you make her so happy, I just want to make sure you don't hurt her, emotionally or physically. She's never had any friends like you since we moved from Cloudsdale." Night said. Crescent didn't know what to say. There was a long and awkward silence between them as they walked to the next shop. Crescent cleared his throat and said "Well, I should get ditzy something... I've already finished my shopping last week... And maybe something for the digimon to share, y'know like a game or something... I know nightfury doesn't care." "Yeah..." Night said, chuckling a bit. "I bet if you put that problem behind you, we could be pretty good friends." "I guess... But... I'll think on it... When Essence is safe, then I can relax." The two were found later at a pastery shop, getting something to eat before they left to get ditzy a present. "What do you Ditzy would like?" Crescent asked. "Bubbles? It's her cutie mark... But at breakfast the other day, I saw her devouring all the muffins. Maybe we should get her some muffin mix so she can make her own?" Night suggested. "I think they sold some here. I'll go check." Crescent said. He got up and walked into the store. Turns out that they did sell some of their homemade muffin mix. He picked it up and tossed a few bits on the counter and left. "Got it. We better get back, otherwise the other's might see the presents." Crescent said. Night nodded. When they got back to the academy they made sure they weren't being followed by anypony. "Clear." Night said, opening the door to their dorm. The two ran in and quickly closed the door. Crescent pulled out some wrapping paper and tape from his saddle bags and put down some presents. "Ok, I'll start with this and you can do this, ok?" Crescent said to Nightfury, gesturing to each item. "Got it." Nightfury said, and started to wrap a box of cookies. Night looked at him. "What? It's for Draco. He loves those cookies and they only sell them around this time." Crescent explained. "Ok... I guess..." Night said, wrapping a present. "So have you put that thing behind you?" Crescent asked. "More or less." Night replied. "Ok, now what did I miss? I swear Crescent, You need to fill me in more often..." Nightfury said, shaking his head. The group shared a laugh after that as they ended a delightful day.
Chapter dix: A gift for the seasons! Part nombre trois! finale partie?Essence flew past the tall buildings of Hiroshimare. It was still very early, but she wanted to get done early since she was terrible at keeping things a secret. "Gotta find it... Gotta find it... HA HAA! They still have it open!" She cried out as soon as she found the place she was looking for. It was an old sweet shop, but it held some of the best taffy that she and night had ever tasted. She flew down and opened the door. the bell above it tinkled, sending memories rushing at her like a waterfall. "Ah, May I help you?" The elderly mare called from the corner. She was an earth pony mare that had a pink mane with pale green fur. She had a wrapped candy on her flank and she was trying to organize a donut display. It didn't look like they had any business in a while, but Essence was very fond of this shop. Even though she lived in Yokoneigha, their family would take trips down to Hiroshimare when her father would go on business trips. Even so, every week they would go to that shop, but after Night became a royal guard, they stopped going to Hiroshimare. "Essence? Is that you?" A bright voice called from behind the counter. It was a bright yellow earth pony mare with a dull yellow mane. She had a piece of taffy on her flank and and bright shining blue eyes. Her mane was let loose and was pretty short, as well as her tail. "Honey sweets! It's been a while!" Essence said, walking over to the counter. "Yeah, Heck it has!" She said, pulling essence into a tight hug over the counter. "I've come for some of the Taffy that me and Night would used to get. Do... you still have the right skills?" Essence said, returning the hug and teasing her. "You bet I do... You wanna make that a challenge?" Honey said, glaring playfully at Essence. "Try me." Essence said, smirking. Honey raced into the next room and the clanking of pots and pans cam from the kitchen in the back and soon there was a the hiss of steam. Essence was never allowed back, despite being a friend. She would come to help out now and then, but when the taffy would be made Essence was never allowed back. Something about the secret behind her family recipe to make it in under five minutes and it still tasting good. "Ok! Done! I still remember your favorite..." Honey said, walking out with two boxes. "Strawberry swirl with a marshmallow on the top!" They both said, laughing. "I miss those times. Shame that you had to stop comin' once your brother joined the guard. He still there?" Honey said. "Nah, he quit to take care of us once... uh, My father... Passed away..." Essence said. "Oh, I... Didn't know..." Honey said, placing the boxes on the table. "It's ok. I've gotten over it. I've got to go, More hearth's warming Eve shopping. " Essence replied. "Well, I've thrown in a personal present. It's the one on the top. I hope to see you again." Honey said, waving. Essence pulled out some bits but Honey stopped her. "Nah, It's ok Sweetie. You don't need to pay. Consider it a Hearths warming eve gift." She said, smiling. "Well, then, This is my gift to you." Essence said, pulling a bag of bits out. She tossed it on the table and Honey peeked in. "Essence, I swear, you are too generous for your own good! What about you?!" "I'll manage. I can get a part time job." Essence said cheerfully. "Well, Ok then... Bye! Hope to see you soon!" Honey said, waving. Essence waved goodbye and walked out the front door. "Ok, I got presents for everyone... Presents for the Digimon... Wrapping paper... and cookies... Am I missing anything else..." Essence muttered to herself. "I got it all, I better go get this done then." Essence thought aloud. "Oh hey Essence!" A voice said. "Huh? Oh hey Lightning!" "You all done?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm going home now." Essence replied. "Same, May i join you?" Lightning asked. "Sure, the more the merrier!" Essence said happily. "You want some help?" Lightning asked Essence, who was having a bit of trouble with the tape. They were wrapping their presents out where alot of other students were wrapping their presents, in the outdoor area. It was an area where students could interact and Digimon could do whatever they want. Except break the school rules and/or destroy the world, school, Etc. "Yeah..." She admitted, sheepishly. Lightning lit his horn and the tape unwrapped itself from her hooves. "Thanks." Essence said, happily. "No prob." "So, Essence... When can we open the cookies!?" Wasp asked. "Soon, I only got one more to do. It's Night's" Essence said. "But I'm hungry..." He wined. "You can wait. Have patience my friend." Tapirmon tried to encourage Wasp. "Fiiiine..." He wined again. "Aaaand done!" Essence announced. "Cookies?!?!" Wasp asked, enthusiastically. "Ok, Fine" Essence said, laughing. Lightning lit his horn and the lid of the box of cookies was lifted. In almost a second, 25 percent of the cookies were gone and/or eaten. "Save some for us Wasp!" Lightning said, laughing. "But I'm starvinnnggg." He kept wining. "You just ate when we got back..." Tapirmon replied, dully. "Yeah so?" Wasp countered. "Nothing." Tapirmon said, defeated.
The REAL Chapter Eleven: Hearth's warming for warming hearts! Part one.Essence yawned as a furious knock on the door became apparent. it's been a few days since she went shopping and the presents were still stacked up on the table, now with labels. "Rainy... Can you get that..." Essence whined. She woke up with a furious head ache and a runny nose. It was the worst way to begin hearth's warming eve. "Ok..." A tired voice called from the bottom bunk. There was the clopping and dragging of hooves as rainy got up and answered the door. "RAINY!!! YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY IS? HUH DO YA???" The voice known as Ditzy doo cried/ "... Thursday?" She said, tiredly. "Nope! Hearth's Warming!!!" Ditzy announced, prancing in place. "I might not be able to make it... I don't think Essence feels very well." Rainy said, more awake than she was a few minutes ago. "Aw... Do you want me to get somepony?" Ditzy asked. "Nah, It must have been something that happened at the late night celebration. They didn't realize that someponies were trying to sleep..." Rainy said. "Ugh... That kept me up all night... Well, until Lyra asked me if I wanted a charm on my room. It only lasted until sunrise." Ditzy said. "lyra?" Rainy asked. "She's a friend from Ponyville. She went missing a few days ago. I guess this is where she went. She's also my roomate. She has a digmon called an.. an..dro... It's was hard to say." Ditzy explained. "Ah... Andromon?" Rainy yawned. "No.. I think... I'll ask her again..." Ditzy said, trailing off. "Since it's a holiday, I saw many ponies eating breakfast up in their dorms. You want me to bring you some?" Ditzy added "Sure. Whatever they have is fine with me." Rainy said. "I'll be back!" Ditzy said and zoomed down the hallway. Seconds later there came a thud and a "I'm ok!" Rainy closed the door and sighed. Ditzy trotted down the hallway until she got to the cafeteria. She saw Night and all the others sitting down and talking. "Heya!" She said, walking up behind them. "Oh hey ditzy!" Lightning said, smiling. "Wassup?" Night said, swallowing a piece of toast. "Not much, Essence woke up not feeling very well, so I decided to bring rainy and her some breakfast." Ditzy explained. "Wait, Essence doesn't feel very well?" Night parroted. "Yeah, pay attention." Ditzy said. Night just glared at her, annoyed. Ditzy ignored it. "See you later then?" Lightning said. "Yep!" Ditzy said, walking off. Some time later Ditzy returned, balancing a few trays on her wings. She walked up to the dorm room and knocked on the door, which was trick to do with trays of food on her wings. "Oh hey Ditzy!" Rainy said as she grabbed a tray from ditzy's wing. "I'm back!" She said smiling. They placed the trays on the table on the table where essence was sitting and sat down next to her. "Feeling better?" Ditzy asked. "Yep. Rainy gave me some medicine she made and I felt better almost right away." Essence said. "Cool, So are you well enough to eat? The colts were waiting for us in the cafeteria." Ditzy said, taking a bite of her apple. She then frowned and said "Sweet apple acres grows better than this..." "Huh?" Essence asked. "It's a farm in ponyville." Ditzy explained. The two mares nodded their heads in understandment. "Well, I guess we should finish up and then go down." Rainy said, eating some oats. "Wel, I dunno when-" Essence began before draco interrupted her by saying "We finished about five minutes ago." The group met in the student lounge after they were all done. There was a few other ponies and digimon in there giving gifts and whatnot, but most were outside in the snow. "So Essence, you feeling better?" Crescent asked. "yep." She replied happily. "So who's gift is first? Mine? Or maybe mine?" Ace asked gleefully. "Ah shaddup..." Draco said to ace. "I think Night should open his first." Ditzy said. The group fell quiet for a second and then all nodded in agreement. "Why me?" Night asked. "We must have all gotten you all good gifts." Essence said, shrugging. "..Fine.." He said, reaching into his pile of presents. "Oh great, a book about sword fighting. Thanks Rainy. Wait, are you trying to say something?" Night said. "You're welcome and no. I'm not." "Fine.. Alright Lightning your turn." "Wait! Shouldn't we wait until the Digimon are done? I mean, they couldn't wait so..." Essence said. "Nah, They'll be fine." Night said. "O-ok..." Lighting reached in and pulled out a small square wrapped box. He unwrapped it and smiled. "Thanks Ditzy." He said, smiling. "... And finally we got..." Lightning trailed off, unwrapping the lightning spell tome. "Woah! You really didn't need to get this for me Rainy!" He said, putting the book aside. "You're my friend. It's what we do." She replied, smiling. "So... Who's next?" Essence asked. "How about Crescent." Rainy said. "Uh, Sure." He said. Crescent pulled out a very thin square present. It was addressed to him from Ditzy and Rainy. He unwrapped it. "Thanks Ditzy!" He said, smiling. He pulled back the power ponies comic and saw... an issue of spidermane. He didn't hate it, but he didn't dislike it either... "Gee... Thanks.. Rainy!" He said, trying to hide the annoyance in his voice. He made a mental note to bring that to the next bonfire. he pulled out the last present which was given to him from Essence. He unwrapped it. It was a picture of all of them on the first day of when Essence got there. Well, the first official day. "I'll have to ask somepony to get a new picture with Ditzy in too." Essence said. "T- Thanks!" He said, blushing a bit. "Uh... Oh by the way..." Crescent added. 'I'm going to do it. Nothing stopping me...' He thought. "Yeah?" Essence said. "C-can I-" He started. "Woah! Look at that!" A pony yelled. That caused everyone in the room to rush over to the window. Outside was a giant snowpony which looked like it was built by several unicorns, pegasi and their digimon. "Woah!!" Essence said. "Uh... Essence.." Crescent said. He'd never felt this shy before. "Oh I'm sorry Crescent! What were you going to say?" She said. "N-nothing..." He said, sitting down on a seat. Chapter Twelve: Of romance and chaos..."Welcome to the beginners class everypony." Lightning said, chalking a few words on the chalkboard. "Today, We'll be learning about ultimate level digimon. Who wants to take a guess at what that means?" The room kept eerily silent as somepony in the back coughed. "Ugh FINE! I'll do it.." A hybrid in the front said, raising a hoof. She was a hybrid of dragon and pony, having the wings and back half of a dragon with green scales, while having the front half of a pony with green fur. Her tail had a tuft of cyan fur on the edge, the same color of her mane. She had reptilian orange eyes that sort of unnerved ponies when she would look at them. "A ultimate level digimon is one higher than a champion... I think..." She said, lowering her hoof. "Very good Emerald. I see you studied." Lightning said, nodding. Turning to the chalkboard, he said "A ultimate level digimon is very powerful and some can even take down mega level digimon, With some difficulty. Some digimon don't make it to the Ultimate level, The reasons why is unknown." Essence listened with amazment as lightning went on to talk more about different levels of digimon. "COMANDRAMON!" "Yes, lord Hades sir!" Conandramon said, saluting Hades. "It's time we show these pitiful ponies that we mean business..." Hades said, laughing darkly. "Shall I get Huckmon, Sir?" Comandramon asked. "He's pathetic... I don't know why I brought him here in the first place!" Hades scoffed. Comandramon couldn't help but feel a pang of pity for Huckmon. "Sir... Why are you bringing... That?!" The sound of a bell rang out, signaling that it was time to leave class. "... And that's all for today." Lightning concluded. The room of ponies quickly flooded out, leaving only Ditzy, Essence and Night alone in the room with lightning. "So, You wanna get some lunch?" Lighting said, walking over to the trio. "Sure." Night said. Ditzy and Essence nodded eagerly. "Well, lets go." Lightning said, walking out with the others. "Oh hey guys!" Essence said, waving at rainy and crescent. "Oh hey Ess!" Rainy said, ushering the foursome over. "Oh hey... Essence..." Crescent said, sheepishly. Using his magic he pushed a small box a tiny bit closer to him from under the table. "Uh.. Listen.. Essence?" Crescent said, finding the courage to talk. "Yeah?" Essence replied, blushing a bit. Using his magic, Crescent floated a box over to Essence. "I meant to give this to you at Hearth's warming... but I got wrapped up in the festivities.. a bit..." Essence unwrapped the box and saw it was a small locket. She opened the small heart and saw it had Crescent's and her cutie marks in it, as well as their initials. "Oh wow! Crescent I don't-" She started before she was interrupted by Crescent pecking her on the cheek. Night stood there, shocked. Rainy had a expression of pure delight. Ditzy had the same expression, while Lightning was over getting some hay fries. "We got to have a talk... Crescent..." Night said, his voice pure with rage. "Meh... it was worth it." Crescent said, having a good idea what came next. He followed Night into the halls, where he threw a punch at his face. "OW!" He cried, barely dodging. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU KISS MY SISTER!?" Night screamed at him, Ace and Nightfury trying to hold him back. "Because I love her! I've loved her since I saw her! Are you really going to be that big of a jerk!?" Crescent yelled back. "Well apparently so!" Night said throwing another punch. Crescent dodged it and threw a punch back, hitting his target. Night flinched and tried to throw a punch back, which was blocked by Ace and Nightfury. "Colts!" Ace cried. "Are you really going to act like idiots just because somepony kissed somepony's sister!?" Nightfury yelled. The two colts fell silent. "If I ever catch you ANYWHERE near my sister, you're dead." Night glared at Crescent before walking down the hall, Ace following swiftly at his heels. "... Why doesn't anything work out..." Crescent muttered, walking back to his dorm room until classes started again. "Crescent..." Nightfury said, running quickly after him. Suddenly there was a loud boom as the whole building shook. "What the-!" Crescent said, galloping at full speed back to the Cafeteria . "Where's Night!?" Essence cried, running up to Crescent. "We had a little... Problem..." He said, folding his ears back. "He punched you, didn't he." Essence deadpanned. "Yeah..." "Oh I forgot..." Essence said, before kissing Crescent on his cheek. "And don't worry about Night, I'll have a little talk with him later." Essence said to a blushing Crescent. "R-right.. Well we better see what's going on." He said, the others joining him. The all nodded and sprinted out, joining the already growing crowd outside. "HADES! Why do you return!?" Blue moon yelled. "To play a little... game with two of your students...." He said, grinning. His horn ignited, pulling Essence and Crescent from the crowd. "Now now, my two little digidestined... I've come to make sure you don't ruin my plans..." he said, laughing. "What!?" Essence cried out. "What the hell are you talking about!?" Crescent hissed. "You don't know? Well, I'd better show you..." He said, laughing as he teleported away, dragging the two along for the ride. "ESSENCE!" Night yelled from a window. The laughing echoed until the whole courtyard was silent. "Essence..." Night said again, tears streaming from his eyes.
Chapter Thirteen: Bad luck? Or something else..."BRING ESSENCE BACK!" Night yelled, his sword glinting in the moonlight. he was in his Japone guard outfit with his sword polished and sharp. "Hah, Fool..." The alicorn scoffed. His horn started to ignite with a sickly red and green pulse. "NOW PERISH!" he yelled, firing a giant beam of energy at Night. "NO!" He yelled, throwing his hooves in front of his face. He waited a moment, realizing he was alive. He suddenly felt the soft touch of hooves on his back. "Relax now..." Anypony who worked on the Night guard would reconize that voice. "Princess Luna... I was... having a nightmare?" He said, looking up at the suspended beam of energy. "Indeed. I might not understand what happened... but trust your sister to find her way back." Luna said, spreading a comforting wing over night. "I know... She's strong... But she's a little..." He said, struggling to find the word. "Naive?" "I guess that's the closest term..." "I'll say it again, Relax. I understand you used to serve on the Japone Night Guard?" Luna asked. "You are correct... I quit to make time for her..." Night said. "Well, as an order to a previous Night Guard, I order you to take time to relax." Luna said, laughing a little. "Yes, Ma'am." Night saluted, with a dorky grin on his face. Luna disappeared, screaming in pain as the space grew darker. Night began to panic as laughter filled the space... "Fools... All of them..." "Urrgh..." Essence moaned as she spat sand out of her mouth. 'Wait, sand?' She opened her eyes to find herself in the middle of a desert. "But, I wasn't anywhere near a desert..." She muttered. "Hey! There's voices over here!" "EEP!" Essence said and shot into the air. "What the- IT CAN FLY? No digimon out here is capable of flying that long, at least here..." The voice said. "Wow... Sound really carries..." Essence muttered again. Essence looked through the expanse of burning sand to see a small figure running almost comically away. "Heh, It must be the heat..." She said to herself. She kept hovering in the air until she spotted what looked like to be a village. She slowly flew over until she spotted something strange. "The trees all bend one direction... Why?" She said, staring at the line of bent trees. "You there! Pegasusmon!" A voice yelled. "Who me?" She said, facing the direction of the voice. "Get inside! You want to be caught in the windstorm!?" It was a small sort of digimon with a kind of cat's paw on a stick. "N-no.." She muttered and sprinted over. The digimon let her inside where she suddenly heard the wind pick up. "Good thing you got inside. You'd hate to get deleted this soon." The digimon said, patting her on the back. "Deleted?" Essence muttered, curious. "BABAMON! GET OVER HERE!" The digimon cried downstairs. "JUST A MINUTE JIJIMON!" All Essence could do was whimper in fear. "Get up!" Crescent awoke next to a very angry digimon. "I don't have that much time you know! sleeping on my restaurant will cost money!" * "Huh... Oh... Put it on my bill..." He muttered, sleepily. "GET UP YOU LAZY BUFFOON!" The Egg digimon screamed, kicking Crescent. "I'M UP! Celestia, can't you not kick me next time!" Crescent yelled at the digimon. He slowly blinked at the digimon. "Why aren't you with your tamer, Digitamamon?" He asked. "Tamer?! I will never be tamed by such a... Beast..." He said, venom clear in his voice. "I'm clearly not in Equestria anymore..." He muttered, turning to look at the lake that expanded in front of him. "Equestria!? You're in the Digital world my 'friend'... No kindness here." Digitamamon scoffed, hearing crescent. "Yeah, well. I'll get going then. I got to find my partner. HE cares about what happens to me." Crescent said, annoyed with this digimon. "Oh? What about your dept?" Digitamamon said, the obvious smirk plastered across his non-visible face. "Screw the debt." He simply said. "So, you're going to play like that?" Digitamamon laughed. "Eeyup." "Fine... I bet you don't have anywhere to stay? It might get dark soon..." Digitamamon teased. "Shut that egg... hole, or I'll break you a new one." Crescent threatened. "Likely story. You have no weapons, and I can clearly tell that you're not a digimon." He scoffed. "Oh yeah? I may have no weapons... But my magic is all that I need." Crescent said, demonstrating by lifting Digitamamon up and tossing him roughly on the ground. "Ooh... I'm a little shaken up, but they're no way you'll be able to harm me." He boasted. "Wanna bet?" Crescent glared. They both entered a glaring contest for a few minutes. That is, until Digitamamon backed slightly away. "Alright.. I see you're serious kid..." He said, closing his eyes. Crescent turned his back and started to walk down to the water. "Nightmare Syndrome!" Digitamamon shot a black ghostlike figure at Crescent. Crescent barely dodged in time. "Trying to get the edge on the somepony that used to be from the Equestrian Junior Night Guard? Bad choice..." He said, grinning. Crescent ignited his horn and sent Digitamamon flying. Turning around he gave a swift buck just as he came down, sending him into a wall. "Done yet?" Crescent asked, keeping the grin on his face. Digitamamon only let a groan out. "Good. Stay that way." He said, patting him on the top of his eggshell. Nightfury desperately paced around the floor of the portal room, where a few unicorns were trying to see if Hades sent them to the digital world. "Don't worry..." Wasp said, placing a foreleg on Nightfury's back. "They'll come back safe and sound... I'll bet all my snacks on it." He added, cheerfully. Nightfury sighed. "It's not just that... It's how your Tamer's brother acted... He cares alot about her... Doesn't he?" He asked Wasp. "Yep... To tell the truth, I'd say Ace is sort of like a brother to me. We came to our tamers together... so why not?" Wasp said, his cheerful attitude still there. "I... I just don't know... You kinda went off topic for a second you know..." Nightfury pointed out. "I know. It gets things off minds." He laughed. "You're weird Wasp. In a good way." Nightfury said, smiling. "I know... I'm awesome." Wasp laughed. "Why don't we go raid the snack bar while mean Digitamamon isn't looking?" Wasp suggested, Smirking at Nightfury. "I... Don't know..." Nightfury said, uncertain. "Oh come on! It'll be fun..." Wasp taunted. "... I'm going to hate myself later... But ok... let's go." Nightfury said, smiling. "YAY!" Wasp said, flying into the air.
Chapter Fourteen: The Team!"WHADDYA MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND THEM!?" Night hollered at the scientist who was fiddling with the portal. "I-I can't find a presence, much less two, in the digital world... That's what I'm saying." He replied. Night glared at him for a second before running out, frustrated. Rainy caught him barreling past and held him back, much to the amazement of the others. "Night! Acting like a moron will not help!" Rainy yelled. Night relaxed and turned to face rainy. "... I know..." He sighed. He sat down on the ground, wings lying limply at his side. Ditzy walked over and sat down beside him, Biscuit in tow. "We'll find her... Don't worry." She said, rubbing his back. "Yeah... I hope so..." He said. "Oh and Crescent too." Ditzy then added. "... Of course we will..." Night muttered. Suddenly Two full grown alicorns burst down the halls at stunning speeds with a smaller alicorn running to catch up, followed by a troop of guards. "... The princesses?!" Lightning shouted, shocked. "They must be here because of that one Alicorn." Rainy said, watching as the princesses ran into the lab. "S-stop it..." Essence cried softly as she hid under a shabby sofa. "Grraaaah! I told you!" The one Essence assumed to be Babamon said. "I said I'm not doing It!" Jijimon yelled back. "Then stop bickering and fight back!" "Fine!" "This has been going on for an hour..." Essence said, quietly. Eventually a groaning sound rang out as they both stopped fighting. "Well, time for Dinner!" Jijimon said, walking off like nothing happened. "I can't wait!" Babamon simply said. "...What just happened..." Essence said, stunned. Crescent looked at the expanse of water. He noticed a paddleboat in the shape of a swan on the side of the beach. "This'll have to do.." He muttered. He climbed in the boat, but that's when he noticed something. "Why would somepony build a boat that somepony can't reach the pedals?" He asked himself. He sat up in a slightly awkward position, much like a seafoam green mare would sit, and placed his back hooves on the pedals. He turned one of the pedals as an experiment and, much to his surprise, they worked perfectly like this. He sighed and got out of the boat. He used his magic and put he boat in the water, facing north. He climbed back in and sat in the same position. "What have I gotten ourselves into, Essence...." He muttered and started to paddle. "Night wing?" A scientist called out into the long hallway, where a lone black Pegasus was still positioned against the wall. "Yes?" He said, snapping his head up. "Her majesties would like a word." The goggled Pegasus said, moving out of the way so night could walk in. He entered the room and gulped. The princesses were much bigger in real life... He bowed and said "What did you need me for, your majesties?" Princess Celestia raised a hoof and Night snapped back in his former position. "We need to know more about your sister." Princess Celestia spoke with a regal yet gentle voice. "Uh... W-well... She's a Pegasus, like me... and she's-" He was interupped by Princess Twilight raising a hoof. "Uh, what the princess means is her attitude, likes, dislikes, stuff like that. It can help fuel the search spell. Even though I had no idea a spell like this existed until today...." She glanced up at Princess Celestia, slightly angry yet respectful. "She's.. Naïve, for lack of a better term, Optimistic and she's got a caring heart like no other.... Well, besides Ditzy." Night said. Sudddenly a ping went off from the equipment that was processing the information. "We've found two life forms inside!" A royal guard shouted. "Uh... With a due respect... How did you get Crescent's information." Night asked. "He used to be on the junior night guard before this all happened." Luna said. "We had most of his info on the sheet he submitted." Celestia said, holding back a giggle. "Uh, princess Celestia? If I must know, where does this portal go?" Princess twilight asked. "To a different world, Unlike anypony has seen..." Princess Celestia muttered. There was a heavy silent until Princess Celestia broke it. "We'll need to make a search and rescue team of some strong ponies here. Comander Stormsweeper?" Princess Celestia turned around as she was approached by a Pegasus that looked just like the rest. He saluted and awaited orders. "Find me some strong, reliable ponies here at this school. I'll need them by a week." She commanded. The Pegasus ran out, followed by two unicorn guards. "Night Wing." Princess Celestia addressed. "Yes?" He said, looking up. "You know Essence better and anypony here. I was wondering if you would be the head of this search and rescue team?" She said, seriously. Night was shocked, but he nodded nonetheless. "Good. Now if you excuse us... We need to figure out exactly where your sister and her friend is." Princess Celestia said, turning around. "Uh... Your majesty? I think I may have the ponies for the job..." Night said, turning around and seeing a familiar derp eyed stare. Crescent panted. "HOW... BIG... IS THIS LAKE?!" He shouted. He was paddling for a while now, barely even seeing land. "I wish I had some hay fries right now though..." He muttered and wiped his brow of sweat. Suddenly through the fog he saw a object shaped like a circle. "A... Ferris wheel?" He said as he paddled towards a beach. He parked the swan boat right where it was at and looked around. No sign of his marefriend. "Just my luck..." He muttered. "You're a funny digimon." Something said. "Huh?" Crescent muttered and turned around. Essence was now sitting at a small table on cushions drinking something that tasted similar to tomato soup. "I'd like to thank you again for letting me into your home while the sandstorm lets down." Essence said. "It's no problem. We were hoping you'd would have fought with us. Show us some Pegasusmon abilities." Babamon said, drinking the liquid. "Uh... I'm.. Not a pegasusmon... Just a pegasus..." She said. Both digimon stared. "I've never heard of a pegasus... I suppose your from the real world..." Jijimon muttered. "What's wrong with the real world?" Essence asked. Both digimon looked at each other. "It's something we wouldn't like to talk about..." They both said. "Uh.. Well... It sounds like the sandstorm's let down..." Essence said, hearing no wind. "Huh... Quickest one yet..." Jijimon said, opening the stone door a bit. Sure enough, It was stopped. "Well... I'll be going now... I wish I could repay you somehow but I got to find my partner." Essence said, bowing. "A tamer huh... Well just go!" Babamon said, throwing Essence out on the sand. "Rude..." Essence pulled herself up and stretched her wings, hearing a audible pop noise. She then got into a flight position and took off. She flew for a while until she noticed a bright pink beam flying at her. "OH PONY-" She said before it quickly over took her, pulling her in. "Wait, The princess wants us to go to the digital world?!" Rainy cried in surprise. "The... Digital world?" Ditzy asked. "It's a place where all digimon are from. We have a portal going directly to the first plane of it. It takes even more magic to get to any other." Rainy explained. "Oh..." Ditzy said. "So, is it true that Essence and Crescent are there?" Lighting asked. Night nodded. "Well, then I'm in!" Rainy said, jumping. "I dunno... It's a dangerous world..." Draco said, worried. He thought for a moment. "I guess I have no choice... If rainy goes I have to go." He sighed. "I need to go!" Wasp buzzed angerly. "They're both defenseless if we don't get there." Nightfury said. "I need to go for Night... If he gets hurt..." Ace said, nearly breaking into tears. "I guess we're in too." Lightning said, nodding alongside Tapirmon. "We're in too!" Ditzy said, hugging Biscuit. Night nodded and walked back into the lab. "You five do realize this is dangerous, right?" Luna informed them. They all nodded. "Alright. if things get iffy, Lightning Blast, here's the portal spell to get home." Princess Twilight said, handing Lightning a piece of parchment. "Thank you, your majesty." He said, taking the parchment and nodding. There was a clear twitch in Princess Twilight's eye as she walked back. Princess Celestia levitated over a dozen small boxes with straps on them. "These will allow you to comunicate through the barrier. We will monitor you inside. We made much more in case those broke." Princess Celestia said. "Your friends are on the First and Third Plane. That means you'll need to cast a new spell we've been making. It will allow you to go through the barrier to the next area." Princess Luna said, handing Lightning a new piece of parchment. The three princesses stepped aside. "You may go... Remember, First and third plane." Princess Twilight said, helping keep the portal stable. "Thank you.. Your majesties..." Night said, hopping through the portal after the others. "Well... We better cancel that order that we gave stormsweeper..." Princess Luna said, unable to hold back a giggle. "So... What is that world?" Princess Twilight asked. "I'll tell you sometime later..." Princess Celestia said.
