~ Your Royal Highness Empress Twilight Sparkle the First
Twilight Sparkle felt a twitch run up her spine causing her to jump. The interruption caused her magic to fade, the quill she was levitating in front of her falling to the ground. Her horn sparked, a few stray bolts of magical energy dancing off it and fizzing into the air around her. She twitched again and looked down at the quill. For a moment she glared at it harshly as if the writing implement had offended her by falling to the ground. The next moment though the glare turned into a look of seething hatred and her eyes seemed to pulse with an unseen power. It was but a moment later that the quill erupted into flames and was reduced to a pile of ash.
For a moment she continued to glare at the ash pile but then looked away, levitating another quill from a pot on her desk over to herself. As she did her attention was momentarily distracted by a large pile of note paper that sat next to her, her research ready to be written up. It had taken many months of hard continuous work to compile them and even now she wished she had more. Then again that’s why she was only calling this book volume one, there would always be more to investigate and explore.
Glancing back at her work she turned to the next blank sheet of paper and dipped her new quill in her ink pot. There was much to write and so many different magical treasures to elaborate on. She was so excited; more excited than she had been in a long time! She wished her friends could have been there to share in her excitement but that was impossible now. She had to admit that she was a little sad about that but then again friendship is magic and the book she was about to write was all about magic…and so in part if was all about friendship! She smiled gleefully to herself, giving a slight giggle as she did.
“Now then, where to begin?” she questioned to herself as she lowered her quill to the paper and began.
