I wasn't always like this, an alicorn. I guess there is not somthing to be ashamed of and I am probably the only one who transformed themselves. I first lived around the time when Luna was banished, I think the truth is stretched in the tales.it was more than a thousand years ago when there was the rule of discord ( as most tales are just a thousand years ago not much order is there, but I was around before all the tales were corrupted).

In my opinion( which no one cared about ) celestia is not the great and fair ruler that she is advertised to be, she is not quite evil but is not a good leader… No scratch that she is bad and…imagine the worst possible thing… Then imagine it exept worse!

You might be wondering how i became an alicorn and why my opinion is about celestia and all that stuff well it goes something like this (and if you don't care then go elsewhere)

Chapter 1: battles and bacon

As you probably know I am Starlight. When I have no disguise I look somewhat like Luna minus the flowing mane, mine is smaller. Another thing about me is I was unicorn, and a very powerful one at that! My cutie mark looks like this:

So anyhay this was my life until later then it all changed

"Starlight get up quick before the celebration starts" Yelled my Mom from down stairs of the tree-house, that was in the town of canter lot.

The 'summer sun celebration'. And as the name said I went to celebrate well the sun I guess.

At the celebration there was cake, dancing and well everything you would want at a party. So as I went to a group of friends and someone asked,"hay how about we play some games!"

"Yeha" we all shouted.

Then we began to set up the posts for a game we called 'chase'. How it workes is the unicorns ride atop the pegisi as the teams of earth ponies run between the posts with a stick and pass it to the next pony in line, until they have all got to the other side. Simple right? The catch is that the unicorns use a harmless spell to attack the earth ponies as they run what the spell does is it stops them from moving for a about 10 seconds. The unicorns and pegisi and on those teams to and only shoot at the other teams.

So we began the game. I was riding atop Fredrick and as he followed Erin as I shot at her. I had pretty good aim but she was good at avoiding but then I managed to get one lucky shot in and she was stopped. She got going again soon and I kept shooting but did not land one shot that round.

Later when we were about to start another game princess Luna came up to us and asked,"May i play?"

I was pushed forward by Fredrick So I replied," well sure"

Luna joined the game. Erin was running again as Luna, Fredrick and I were chasing here shooting the magicial beams at her and multiple times being hit. When she finally made it to the end her total time was 7:39 and a normal time was around 2 minutes, with the addition of luna to our team we won the game with no trouble.

At the end of the game Erin said,"that wasn't fair Luna is too good at this game".

I looked over at luna and back at Erin,"True she is good at this game but what if we played again and she played for both teams!"

Luna did not have the reply I expected,"alas a have royal duties to preform"

"Oh how could we forget the moon must be lowered and the sun raised"

"Come on let's watch"

"Of course we will"

We all want to the open filed and watched as the sun was raised. It was amazing there was no better word to describe it. The equestrian flag was raised as well as the sun.

The next day there was school again a lot of foals hated school but I did not, I liked collecting knowledge of spells and other stuff.

School was rather uneventful.

But after school was not uneventful, for me anyways I was going to learn more advanced magic with Luna! She knew a lot of powerful magic, almost as much as celestia!

As I trotted to a house where Luna was at that moment, I noticed that the house was different than normal, there was the smell of bacon flowing out the windows. Bacon was my favriot food and still is now.

When I entered the house I saw luna cooking bacon, this was odd as she did not often eat bacon so I asked,"what is all the bacon for?"

"To eat of course" we sat down at a table and began to eat the bacon which was amazing, more than most bacon, it was crispey but not burnt and without extra grease. The coulor was a golden brown and looked almost more like bacon than any other bacon! The smell was the most majestic thing I had ever smelt in my entire life!

I asked luna with excitement," how did you make such good bacon, it's the best bacon ever!"

She nodded in agreement,"I was trying a cooking spell I recently learned about. If you want I ca—"

"Can you teach me please, bacon has never tasted so good!" I asked almost too much excitement!

"I was about to ask you if I coul—"

"Please"

"I was about to tell y—"

"PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO MAKE THIS BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"I screamed with too much enthusiasm.

"As I was about to say, yes I will" she finally got to reply.

"THANK YOU"

So she began to teach me the cooking spell. I didn't cook much nor did I find it interesting but this was bacon and not just any bacon this was the best bacon I had ever tasted and I'm sure no one else had tasted better bacon. I tried the spell and right after making the bacon i taste tested it. It was almost as good as the bacon luna made but not quite. So the then luna tried it and told me it was amazing.

That night i practiced the bacon-cooking spell-all night that is and regretted it in the morning 'well at least there is no schools today' I thought to myself.

At the time a normally would Luna taught me more spells, for starting fire, creating light and haveing it stay in a place, spells that made fireworks and much more!

But then one day luna asked me,"how would you like to learn battle magic?"

"But know one here except alicorns know battle magic!"

"Well you could be the first unicorn to learn but you can not tell anyone that you know it"

I thought a while about this, battle magic was dangerous in the extream not just to those around you but to yourself mentally. It gave you a sense of power and often superiority, and that could drive to insanity. After a few minutes of thinking I agreed.

It was not until almost a year later that I learned battle magic. It took hours of studying and practice to learn and control but I did it. I was probably the youngest unicorn to ever learn battle magic. In that time I had learned a great deal of other things as well such as teleportation, disguise spells( I did not know it was changeling magic ) and more.

It was almost time for the summer sun celebration and when I got home luna looked worried ( I may have forgot to mention that she was my mother ) I decided to ignore it, for now anyways it was time to celebrate! At this time I was 17 equestrian years old and about to become an adult.

I went outside and played some games with some friends and we discussed where we would go in life later.

"Everyone it is almost time for the sun to be raised"some pony yelled.

"What the hay, where is the sun"

"Hay what is going on that sun should be raised by now"

Then she told me,"help me—no don't get away"

I asked,"why"

Her reply was,"nightmare moon" I noticed her voice was becoming somewhat demonic and her teeth were changing shape

She yelled,"Go now before I hurt you! But first promise me you will see me again."

"I promise but why should you hurt me I'm your s— I was cut off by a blast that sent flames in my direction and caused the house to shatter into more splinters than somepony could count! I recongnised that blast, it was dark battle magic she was attacking me and it stung, not just the blast but the emotions that came with it. Just before i was met with is another blast I raised my battle shields and prepared.

As prepared to fight and could not believe what I was doing, fighting my own mother but regardless I shot a blast at her that should have left her on the ground stunned, but it did nothing. I ignored that as a hard shot hit me in the side of the mouth as I was thrown into a pole and then I was thrown on the ground! I tasted blood and felt anger and betrayed but I had no time to think I could not let my Guard down now, I would have to stay strong and defend my self!

"You can't win you know I taught you this magic and don't plan to be defeated by the one i trained"she said in a demonic voice.

"I don't wan— I was cut off as I was lifted into the air, by the neck as I coughed and choked, being lifted by the neck hurts and even more when it is your own mother doing it to you.

I was filled with rage as I summoned all the magician energy I could possibly muster, while being suspended in the air by magic and blasted it in a huge blast toward Luna. As I dropped to the ground Luna was hurled back and flew into another house smashing the wall. I got up and shielded myself from any attacks as well as used changeling magic to put on a disguise.

As I walked toward a large crowed I noticed some friends but ignored them as if i said hi to them it would blow my cover. Later I noticed somepony following me so i hid and changed my disguise and repeated that until I was sure I was not being followed.

Just as I was satisfied that I was safe Luna or nightmare moon appeared on stage in front of me. Right at that moment i disabled my disguise and ran just ran. I did not see her chancing me but then I saw a purple could on the ground following me. I saw right through that trick. Even then I wasn't stupid, I knew that trick I could do it myself. And I did, I become a cloud that is.

It is difficult magic to preform, harder than battle magic and that means it is hard.

I was then struck by a bolt of lightning, it was something I had never been hit by. I had never known luna could do that but It was effective at blasting me half way across the forest (not the ever free) as we landed in the castle.

Now I knew that I would die at the end of this fight unless I could talk my way out of it so after a less than silent prayer I asked,"why are you doing this." I know now that that is overused and almost a stupid question but how could I have knowen that then anyways.

"Well because I'm going to kill you I guess I might as well say. It is because my sister celestia was always well, better than me and the night was shunned and the day was loved."

"How can that be you always were a" at the time I had no idea what to say but what I could come up with was,"my mom and the best mom at that, you don't need to have a reputation of better than celestia. No matter what the rest of the world thinks of you, you are great and don't let anyone tell you different." I saw Luna's teeth shrink back to there normal form, her eyes grow normal and she almost began to cry. She stepped forward but before we could embrace I was flung out of the castle and she was struck by celestia holding some rocks (the elements of harmony but I did not know what they were at the time)

Celestia came in with the elements of harmony(at the time I did not know what they were) and I was outside before I heard there fight. Then I say them fly out of the building.

Celestia came to me and said softly,"I'm sorry Starlight I had to she was casting eternal night"

Somehow I managed to not lash out violently at her with battle magic but just replied,"I....." Had so many thoughts. Why did Celestia have to attack her when i had already changed her back to her Normal state and already saved her, she dident have to be... I didn't know what happened so is asked

Celestia said she was banished for a thousand years to the moon.

After that I felt like attacking her although I would lose, by a long shot. There was no chance of beating celestia in a fight, even though I knew battle magic and she did too probably. She probably did not know that I knew such advanced magic as I was a unicorn and a young one at that.

Celestia apologized repeatedly to me but I couldn't speak, I had promised to see her again and I intended to keep that promise. I knew that the only way to live that long, to become an alicorn!
