//-------------------------------------------------------// Popular -by Yofigful- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Silver and I Are Only the Best Ponies Around //-------------------------------------------------------// Silver and I Are Only the Best Ponies Around The first day of summer. Silver and I are going to Sugarcube Corner to enjoy another good sundae. Of course the sundaes are never good enough for me. Being Diamond Tiara, I only deserve the best of the best, and even the best of the best isn't great enough for me. But they'll have to do. "That'll be ten bits." Mrs. Cake said with a smile. I gave her the bits with an innocent smile, and Silver repeated what I did. She always does. I don't mind, I mean, doesn't everypony want to be like me? Anyways, I turned around and rolled my eyes. I should get this stuff for free. We sat down by the window seat and looked out at the sunny summer day. There was ponies playing, selling things at stands, and walking dogs. Ugh, dogs. I hate dogs. They're slobbery and dumb. I have a cat, her name is Princess. She has a gorgeous long, black coat and sparkling green eyes. She is groomed well; she's the only living thing I care about besides Silver Spoon and Daddy. I snapped out of my thoughts. "Hey, DT, can you believe we're going to be the first class in Ponyville Middle School? We won't be stuck in an old elementary school; we're going to the shiny, new one." Silver commented. "Yeah, and there's going to be ponies from the west side of Fillydelphia coming. So we won't be stuck with the normal losers." I replied. "I know right? What if there's cute colts?" Silver smiled. "Pfft, you and I would have no problem getting them to date us. I'd be surprised if those stupid Cutie Mark Crusaders even have any friends besides each other, or dates. They'll probably be so desperate they'll date each other." I commented. Silver Spoon giggled, "So true. And the cute colts will probably be on the football or track team. We tried out for cheerleading, remember? Think we'll get on?" "We're too pretty for them not to let us on, Silver. We were probably their first choice, they probably didn't even hesitate." I said. "I know right? I'm so glad I didn't see any of those Cutie Mark Crusaders there. I even heard Scootaloo saying she was going to join cross country this fall and track next spring. That chicken will be stuck with the Earth Pony divisions because she can't even fly." Silver chuckled. "What about Applebloom and Sweetie Belle? Are they going to try out for mare's basketball?" I asked, rolling my eyes. "I actually think Applebloom is. Sweetie Belle said she was going into choir." Silver said, "She can't even sing!" "Where did you hear this, anyway? I'm curious." I asked. "I was walking by those losers, that's what." Silver muttered. "Oh, whatever. It doesn't even matter. They're blank flanks- talent less." I commented. "So true, DT. Let's eat our sundaes now. We're too cool to think about those losers." Silver added. And we finished our treats. //-------------------------------------------------------// I Usually Get What I Want... //-------------------------------------------------------// I Usually Get What I Want... Daddy dropped his phone in shock. "Daddy, are you okay?!" I cried, and I ran towards him; his phone was the newest iPone and he had only got it for his birthday last month. If he dropped it just like that, something had to be wrong. His mind must be on something. Before I could even reach dad, he scooped up his phone and began to talk to the pony on the other end of the line. I hadn't really cared, because dad has boring business calls all of the time. This must be really important. "Are you serious, Mr.Dollarsworth?!" he exclaimed, in happiness in shock. "Daddy, what is it?" I asked, concerned, but he ignored me. "A done deal, Mr.Dollarsworth! I'll get onto it immediately!" Daddy exclaimed, and he ended the call. "What is it, dad?" I asked. "We were offered more property from a guy I know. If we bought it, Mr.Dollarsworth's company would join us and we'd work together, him getting twenty-five percent of our profit." Dad replied. "What's the catch?" I asked. There had to be a catch. There was always a catch. "Well..." Dad rubbed his neck, "In order to work with Mr.Dollarsworth and his company closely and successfully, we'd have to move nearby him and the property we bought. And-" "WHAT?!" I hissed, "We are not moving!" "Diamond, this is for the good of our business!" Dad yelled back. I've hardly ever heard Dad yell before. We never fought because his business didn't really have a problem on me. But moving? Leaving Silver? Leaving my opportunity at Ponyville Middle School? "Dad, we can't move! I already tried out to be a cheerleader at the middle school! Do you even care about me?" I cried. "I do, honey, but I also care about being a successful businessman. You'll have to make new friends." Dad replied. "No!" I stomped my hoof on the ground. "No? Diamond, we are moving whether you want to or not! Do you understand?" Dad asked, assertively. Tears formed in my eyes. Usually, I got what I want. If Dad and I disagreed on something, I always got my way. But today I didn't. This must be super important to Dad. I stared at him in sad anger, and I couldn't take it anymore. I bolted out the door; I needed to find a solution, and fast. "Diamond-" I heard my dad start, but I wouldn't let him finish. I don't care about what he has to say. I ran towards Silver's house. I looked behind me. Daddy wasn't coming after me. Good. I hope I never see him again! I knocked on the door viciously. Silver opened the door, and looked concerned as soon as she saw my face. "DT, what's wrong?!" she asked. I continued to cry and I stammered, "Dad- Offer- Move." But I knew it wasn't clear enough for her to understand. "DT, cm'on, lemme take you to my room." she put her hoof over me and lead me onto her bed and I sat down, her facing me. I snuffled and she handed me a box of tissues. I blew into it and she handed me the garbage can to throw it away in. I blew in about six more, and threw them away. Soon my cries became tearless, and I looked at Silver, who was still concerned as ever. I wiped my tears. "I'm moving." I muttered. Silver's concerned eyes went even more worry-some. "Why?!" she cried. "He got an offer and said it was the best thing to do." "But it's not!" Silver whined, "You won't be able to go to PMS!" Ponyville Middle School. Never will get a chance to go there. A shiny, brand new school that's never had students attend it versus a probably old stupid school. "I know." I sniffled. "When do you move?" Silver asked. "I don't know. I hope not until the end of August." I sighed. "Well, maybe you should go back and talk to your dad." Silver said. "I really don't want to...but I guess so." I responded. I hopped off Silver's bed. "See you tomorrow, okay?" I told Silver. "See you, DT. Also, text me everyday! I don't want to lose touch." she said. "Okay, bye." I said, and then I glumly walked back to my house. "Diamond Tiara! Why'd you run off like that?" Dad demanded. "Dad! I was upset! Okay?! Can you just tell me when we're leaving?!" I exclaimed. I was tired of the yelling and anger. I didn't want it, despite the fact how angry and sad I was at him. Dad gave an annoyed sigh, "July first." My eyes widened, and it took all of my strength to not start screaming at him. July first?! That was less than a month away. It was June tenth now, and July first was too close. I held back my upcoming tears and ran off into my room. I was going to miss Silver. I was going to miss ranting on those stupid losers. They were my targets, but now who can I use? Nopony; absolutely nopony. I was going to miss my fabulous room. I was going to miss Ponyville. I needed to put myself at the top of the pack in my new school in order to fit in. Ponyville was so easy; calling it even a tiny bit of a challenge to become the alpha of the elementary school, I'd laugh until I die. What if it was a challenge to be popular in my new school? Wait, what am I saying? I'm Diamond Tiara. I reminded myself. This wouldn't be a challenge at all. //-------------------------------------------------------// Moving Sucks //-------------------------------------------------------// Moving Sucks I spent as much time with Silver Spoon as possible. I made an email account in case texting wasn't an option. Thank Celestia for modern technology; if it were even ten years ago, when I was a year old, I probably would've been stuck with writing a letter, or a flip phone. But of course, being Diamond Tiara, I upgrade my iPone every year. My room was nothing but hardwood floor and pink walls. So empty. Cardboard boxes surrounded me. Soon the moving ponies would take the boxes and load them into their smelly old truck. I still had a few hours, so I went to Silver to say my goodbyes. We hugged for a long time, and she told me that life would be so boring and lonely without me. I felt the same. Finally when it was time to go, I sat next to Dad in his new car. "Don't press your face on the window glass." he reminded me, "It'll leave a print. I just got this car; I don't need it dirty yet." I just mumbled and moved my head. Maybe I should have sat in the back of the car so I could sleep. We were moving two hours away; all the way in a place called Hooveston. It was next to a large city called Unicornia. I heard Unicornia had the best shops, even better than Manehatten, so at least that was one thing to look forward to; as if it wasn't obvious, I love fashion. But I wouldn't live there, and I would be going to a school in Unicornia, so I'd have to take a bus. That'd take like, twenty minutes. But it was only July. Surely there was plenty of time to think about this later? I'd rather not stress myself out now. I already feel terrible enough. But I doubt things will get better; maybe even worse. But what else was there to think about? Maybe I could think about how much of a life I left back in Ponyville? How much of an experience I was forced to miss? Really, the most positive thing to think about that'd actually keep my mind busy would be thinking about Unicornia schools. I could think about the shops, which would be the best thing to think about, but it was too simple to keep me busy; being a rich filly, I was never bored. But now I'm bored. It feels like torture. This is torture. I checked the time. 2:13. We only left seven minutes ago. Ugh... "Dad, can I play music?" I asked. "Sure thing, sweetheart." Dad replied. There was my real daddy. He hadn't snapped at me and told me, "NO! MODERN KID MUSIC ISN'T HIP! BACK IN MY DAY IT WAS BETTER." I turned the radio to my favorite station. Moving to a different place, I knew the radio stations would change. I'd have to find a new favorite. A song played; I heard the song a hundred times already, I could sing it in my sleep. But I listened anyway. The song ended, another came on. I set my mind to think about the songs. This one was one of those extremely overused story-songs about a colt losing his mare. So what? Get over it. Find another mare. I never really got these songs. Or when it's about "fun stuff". Oh come on, aren't you too busy having fun to sing a song? Really. I mean, they're catchy and all, but still. It's stupid. Another song played, this was a One Deerection song. Just like any ordinary filly, I loved One Deerection. But right now I wasn't in the mood to sing along. "Diamond?" my dad asked when he looked over. "What?" I asked, annoyed. "Look at this place. See that crystal statue there? We're going to pass by the Crystal Empire." he said. I looked at the statue. It was pretty, but I didn't really care. Who cares about a stupid statue? "We're not going through the empire, are we?" I asked. Dad laughed, "No. They don't allow cars. Besides, going through the empire would just take longer." "Daddy, I never even got to see our house yet. Is it big?" I asked, remembering our house in Ponyville and getting a sick feeling in my stomach. "About the same size." he said, "Your room won't be as big, but I think you can work with it." I moaned. Celestia, could this get any worse?! Then my iPone made a dinging noise. I forgot I had it. It was next to me. I pulled it out. I got a text. From Silver. Miss u already. I responded back. Me 2. My room wont be as big I waited a minute, then it rang again. "Diamond, can you put it on silent?" Dad asked. "Sure, whatever." I groaned. All I wanted to do was text Silver, and Dad was being a huge jerk about it! I put it on silent. Thats rlly bad. Idk wat 2 do this summer And we went back and forth. Ikr. Ill b so bored Also those stupid cutie mark crusaders are glad you r gone. Once they saw the moving truck and me w/out u they were like 'yay!' i hate them They r just stupid brats. Ignore them Lol, they will probably spend all summer trying to get their cm but will fail like always, ever since the second grade. Ikr?! Idiots Well gtg, mom wants me. Bye DT Bye I looked at the time. 2:34. A little bit of time has passed, but not enough. "Are we there yet?" I mumbled like a little kid. "No, we still have about an hour and a half. Hang in there." Dad replied. I groaned in impatience. Usually, things got to me whenever I wanted them to. Now time was too slow. I stared out the window, but nothing too interesting showed, but other cars across the highway. I checked the time. 2:39. I groaned again. I decided to pass time by playing apps on my phone. Eventually, though, I grew bored. I checked the time 3:26. Good, only about a half an hour before we're there. I texted Silver again. She didn't reply, even after ten minutes. Her mom must have wanted to spend time with her or something. I wondered if Silver was going to get on the cheerleading team. I should of. This shouldn't of have happened to me. I should be the most popular girl at PMS, having all of the boys line up just to talk to me, and still rejecting every one. Nopony was good enough for Diamond Tiara. Nopony will ever be. I sighed again, and let a fantasy in my mind play. A colt came up to me, nervous. He is a light blue pegasus with a striped dark blue and white mane with a tint of yellow. His cutie mark is a football with bright yellow stars surrounding it. His eyes were also yellow. He was pretty hot. "Hi there, who are you?" he asked. This colt was too hot to ignore. "I'm Diamond Tiara, and who are you?" I asked. "I'm AllStar." he replied, grinning, showing off perfect white teeth, and then he began to brag, "I'm always the captain of the football team. In the fall, I run for cross country. I always finish first." "Wow," I replied, but I'm not yet impressed. "I tried out for cheerleading. I was a cheerleader for Ponyville district when I was little." (This wasn't a lie.) "That's cool." he replied. "So AllStar, got any friends?" I asked. "One. His name is Quarterback. He's an Earth Pony and has an orange-brown coat with a white, brown, and black mane. His eyes are brown. His cutie mark is a football next to a helmet. He's really cool. Other colts aren't cool enough for me." Allstar replied. "Really? Same here. My friend's name is Silver Spoon. She's an Earth Pony too, she has a grey coat and white mane, purple eyes and wears blue glasses. She has a braid in her hair, and her cutie mark is a Silver Spoon, as if it weren't obvious. She's the only filly cool enough to hang out with me." I replied. "Cool! Maybe we could all hang out together." AllStar replied. "That'd be ni-" I began to say, but Dad's voice cut me off. "Diamond, we're here." he told me. He stopped the car. I jumped out, and looked at the large, clean, white house in front of me. This is the start of my new, horrible, life. //-------------------------------------------------------// My First Day Sucked //-------------------------------------------------------// My First Day Sucked I spent the entire summer shopping. That's all I really could do. No friends to hang out with... at least Dad has been making a lot of money, so I could get whatever I want to. And I deserve it all; he ruined my life! I woke up early. It was time to go to UIS. Unicornia Intermediate School. Why they didn't call it UMS, I had no idea. But I didn't really care. I made myself as beautiful as possible; even though I was already extremely beautiful naturally, I needed to show that I'm the best. Daddy drove me to school, I wish he would've brought me in a limo. That would've made ponies stare and wonder who I was. I walked into the cafeteria, and there was two signs. One said, ''FIFTH GRADERS" and the other said, "SIXTH GRADERS". Oh. I thought, feeling stupid. This a fifth and sixth school. Oh well, at least my grade's the oldest. Maybe that school next to us is for seven and eight. I made sure to make the grandest entrance possible; strutting real slow, head high, hooves up. I had plenty of practice. I saw ponies staring at me. Good sign. I thought. I sat down next to the sixth graders. A colt approached me. He was ugly pegasus; he had braces and glasses and his hair was everywhere. No cutie mark. A blank flank. All of this disgusted me. "Hi." he said in a weird voice. He had voice trouble, didn't he? I groaned and rolled my eyes, "What do you want?" "I-I'm Eastward. I moved here last year. I have an older sister she's really really pretty like you! I just want to say hi!" he said, nervous. I rolled my eyes and sighed, "I don't care." An expression of shock went over Eastward. "What?" I asked. He didn't reply. He slowly walked away with a sad face. I didn't care. What a loser. I looked around. There was some cute colts. Nopony hot, though. Finally the teachers came. They held up signs. "Mrs.Fulista" "Mr.Brekel" and a ton more, one I couldn't even pronounce. "Ms.Nijahgholenuia" I looked at my schedule that I brought with my backpack. Language Arts Period(s) 1/2 Mr.Brekel Room 102 1. 7:45 - 8:31 2. 8:35 - 9:17 Math Period(s) 3 Mrs. Divola Room 104 3. 9:21 - 10:03 Science Period(s) 4 Mrs. Nile Room 103 4. 10:07 - 10:49 Social Studies Period(s) 5 Ms. Belon Room 106 5. 10:53 - 11:35 Physical Education Period(s) 6 Mr. Femtor Gymnasium 6. 11:39 - 12:21 Lunch Period(s) 7 No Teacher Cafeteria 7. 12:25 - 1:07 Art Period(s) 8 Mrs.Nolam Room 407 8. 1:11 - 1:53 Study Hall Period(s) 9 Mrs. Nile Room 103 9. 1:57 - 2:35 I found Mr. Brekel and saw a few other ponies. There was an Earth Pony filly with a yellow coat and a long, brown mane plus green eyes that was in front of me. She had a cutie mark of an Ocean Wave. I was behind her. Mr.Brekel put us in name order. No cute stallions. I thought. We got into the classroom, where we had assigned seats. On my right, I sat next to the yellow filly. On my left, I sat next to a green colt with a white and blue mane and yellow eyes. He really needed a mane cut. Mr. Brekel began introducing himself, but I'm too cool to care. Then the yellow filly next to me asked me a question. "You're new, aren't you? What's your name?" "I'm Diamond Tiara." I said, bored. "Cool. I'm WaveWonder." she replied. What a stupid name, I thought, You sound like a cheesy superpony. Then Mr. Brekel had us introduce ourselves to the class. He had us tell our names, our birthday, and three things we like to do. "I'm Diamond Tiara," I began, "I was born on April 15th. I like shopping, doing makeup, and cheerleading." After two long periods, we switched classes. Math next. Ugh, I hate math. I finally got to math. Next to me was a beautiful Earth Pony. She had clean white fur, a light blue mane, and a silver streak in it. Her mane was long and wavy, and she had light blue eyes. Her cutie mark was a silvery sparkling diamond. I learned her name was exactly like her cutie mark; Sparkling Diamond. Seriously? I thought, Two Diamonds? They must call her SD or something. I felt a tap on my shoulder after a few boring minutes of listening to the teacher talk about herself. I turned around, and gasped. It was him; Allstar. The fantasy colt I made up in my head was right behind me; what the hell?! I felt dizzy, but managed to steady myself. "Hi there, who are you?" he asked. Just like in my daydream. I thought. "I'm Diamond Tiara." I replied simply. I heard Sparkling Diamond make a grunting noise. What was her problem? "You're new, aren't you?" he asked. "Yeah. I need to make new friends." I replied. Great, genius, you made yourself look like an idiot. "Oh, by the way I'm AllStar. Did you have any friends at your old school?" he asked. "Only one, the rest weren't cool enough for me." I replied. "Same here. His name's Quarterback. He has a orange-brownish coat and brown, white, and black mane. His cutie mark is of a football helmet and he has brown eyes. He's an Earth Pony. What about your friend?" he asked. "But I'm his marefriend." Sparkling Diamond added before I could even reply. "Cool." I said, ignoring her. She was just jealous of me. "My friend's name was Silver Spoon. She had a grey coat, white mane, and purple eyes. She wore blue glasses. Her cutie mark was of a silver spoon, obviously." Out of nowhere, Sparkling said, "She sounds hideous." My eyes went wide. One of the only two living things I actually gave a crap about. "What did you just say?" I hissed. She didn't back down, though. "You're a stupid bitch. Nopony can talk to my coltfriend without permission." I gasped, and grew really angry. "What the hell, are you on your period? Why are you calling me a bitch when you're being one?" We attracted the attention of ponies near us. "Listen, new girl. You're just a dumb ass who doesn't know the rules yet. I'm the queen of this school. Got that? God, I hate new ponies. They're just so stupid!" "Sparkling Diamond!" AllStar hissed. I laughed, "You're the popular one here? Oh, I thought this school could do so much better. Being on top won't even be a challenge. This is going to be so easy." That caused the stupid filly to yell, "You're just jealous of how beautiful I am, you ugly cunt!" Mrs. Divola whipped her head around and said, "You! What's your name?!" Sparkling Diamond sank back in her seat, "This stupid mare started it!" "Did not, you liar!" I yelled back. "Tell me your name, now!" Mrs. Divola demanded. "Ugh, I'm Sparkling Diamond." she replied, and rolled her eyes. "Well, Sparkling Diamond, I'm sure your parents will be happy to know you're getting a detention for this Friday night." Mrs. Divola grabbed a detention slip off of her desk and handed it to Sparkling Diamond. "What, no!" she cried. I couldn't help but chuckle a little. Sparkling began to rant, but Mrs. Divola cut her off, "You can go take your desk and put it by the door and sit there until I allow you to move." Sparkling growled, and slid her desk loudly across the room to by the door. Stupid fillies thinking they're better than me, I'm Diamond Tiara, I'm the best. I thought. The bell eventually rang, and Sparkling Diamond ran from the classroom. What a scared little filly. I finally went to science, and luckily Sparkling Diamond wasn't there. But AllStar was. And he sat next to me this time. "I'm so sorry about Sparkling Diamond. I don't know what got into her." he said. "Well it's not okay." I hissed, "She was rude to me for no reason!" "I know. Maybe she was having a bad day." he said. "She was mad at me for talking to you, that's what!" I exclaimed. Allstar just looked at his desk. I groaned for the twentieth time that day. Finally, after many minutes of silence, the bell rang, and I went to fifth hour. To my bad luck, Sparkling Diamond was there. Thankfully, she didn't sit near me. She gave me a look of disgust. I just rolled my eyes at her, and to annoy her, I giggled. She got really mad. I giggled more. She finally forced herself to look away. The teacher came in. She was old, and strict. She introduced herself, but she was boring. So I daydreamed. Finally the class period ended and I finally got to go P.E. Mr. Femtor had us play flag-tag. I didn't feel like participating. There were a few mares who participated, but all I really did was stand there on my side and I would be fine. AllStar was on my team, and boy, did he move fast. He was the reason our team won. I watched, impressed. "You did good." I said. "Thanks. Not to sound rude, but why'd you just stand there?" he asked. "I don't know. I just was nervous I guess." I gussed. It felt so weird being nice to somepony other than Silver Spoon. Especially a colt. We finally parted ways and I stopped at my locker to get my lunch. Boy, was I hungry. I wasn't used to having lunch this late. I didn't know who to sit with. I had to be careful and not seat myself next to losers. I began walking back towards the cafeteria and then I felt a shove. It was extremely forceful; this wasn't an accident. I accidentally took  a pony next to me down, too. But I didn't care. All I cared about was finding out who shoved me. I got up and saw Sparkling Diamond; giggling; with three other mares. I growled. I wasn't going to let her do that. I jumped up and hit her side. She let out a howl, and hit me back, under my jaw. Ponies were finally out of the hallway. I used my lunch bag, which thankfully had diamond studs on it, and hit her across the face. Her friends came in to help. I punched one of them down, but the other two got me and violently punched me. I couldn't get up. All I could do was cover my head. The pain. The feeling of those hard hooves impaling into my skin felt terrible. I knew this would leave bruises, and I'd look terrible. After the terribly long time, they stopped. "Take her lunch bag." Sparkling Diamond demanded. One of her stupid friends took it. Celestia dammit! I thought. They just took away my motherbucking pride. I'm not going to let them have my lunch! I got up and used all of my anger to run me. I grabbed Sparkling Diamond and bit into her hard, and she let out a scream. I bit even harder. I finally felt blood in my mouth. Have that stain your pretty white coat, you motherbucking cunt! I thought. I grabbed my lunch, and staff from the office began flooding into the scene. "She hurt me!" Sparkling Diamond screamed. "I HURT YOU?!" I screamed, the staff tried to stop me from yelling, but I wouldn't let them shut me up. I didn't care anymore. "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO BROUGHT YOUR BITCHY FRIENDS TO BEAT ME HALF TO DEATH! AND STEAL MY MOTHERBUCKING LUNCH! FOR NO BUCKING REASON! YOU SHOULD BE SUSPENDED, YOU DUMB ASS CUNT!" They finally restrained me, because I was ready to murder that stupid little shit. We were all taken to the office; me, her, and her stupid friends. Great, I thought, My first day at UIS and it's going terrible. We were all seperated and supervised by the staff. The principal came out, and he went on the computer. He finally looked at us. "You." he said, looking at Sparkling Diamond, "You shoved her." he pointed at me. "Why?" Cameras in the halls. I thought, Why didn't I notice them earlier? "She was being really mean to me." Sparkling grumbled. The principal looked at me. "Well?" "She got mad at me for talking to her 'coltfriend'." I began, "I tried to ignore her, but she wouldn't let me. We began to argue, and then she screamed really bad stuff at me, and that was third hour. Then after sixth, she shoved me. I fought back for self defense. But then she got her little friends here and they beat me up. After they stopped, they took my lunch. I wasn't going to let them take my food like that, so I attacked back." I replied. The principal gave a bemused look at Sparkling Diamond. It was going to be a loooong day. *** I always got things my way. This time, I was never so happy to get it my way. Sparkling got suspended for two weeks, and so did her stupid friends. But I dreaded her return. Everyday of school would remind me of how close her return is. I went in through the door, where a butler awaited me with my after school snack. She gasped. "Diamond Tiara, what has happened to you?!" "A pony tried to beat me up, and I got in a fight." I replied, "But I want my food. I didn't eat lunch." "Of course, Diamond Tiara. Your food is in the kitchen." she replied. I trotted into the kitchen and ate my delicious meal; on a normal day, it wouldn't of been the best. But I was just happy to have it. I went up into my room and lay down on the plush bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep, hoping the rest of my night would be peaceful. I was wrong. //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting With Crystal Crown //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting With Crystal Crown I woke up to a loud banging at my door. I looked at the time. 9:42. Usually, it wouldn't be that late if my day hadn't sucked so bad, but I was so tired I didn't want to get up. I didn't bother to. The door opened, and Dad came in. "Diamond Tiara, sweetie, are you alright? I got a call from your principal." "I'm fine dad." I groaned, "Just let me sleep." "No, I want to make sure you're okay. Cm'on, get up." Dad replied. I just groaned and tried getting up. I remember it hurting. A lot. I screamed. It was probably louder than I thought, because dad called for the house staff to help. Three ponies came flooding in; whose names I never cared to remember. Two mares, one stallion. One of the mares, a golden unicorn with an orange mane and blue eyes exclaimed, "I'll get the medicine kit, and the ice packs!" The other two ponies tried to find out how bad it was. I was too tired to care, and I passed out again. I awoke to the sound of beeping. "Mr. Filthy Rich-" a pony began to say, but I heard my Dad's voice. "Mr. Rich." he corrected. "Mr. Rich, I'm sure Diamond Tiara is going to be fine. She just needs to take some pain relievers and bed rest. Send her back to school in a week, and have a teacher supervise her." the pony said. I opened my eyes and moaned, then yawned. I sleepily looked at Dad and another pony across him. He had a white coat. A doctor? I scanned the room; white, shiny, and clean. Am I in the hospital? There was a clock nearby; it read 11:37. "Dad?" I asked, still tired as ever. Dad looked over. "Oh, Diamond Tiara, it's so nice to see that you're okay! I am going to press charges against that foal's family! What was her name?" "I'm tired." I replied. "I'm sure her name wasn't 'I'm tired', Diamond Tiara. Tell me, please. You were badly beaten, and I must know the name, and now." Dad demanded. "Uh..." I said. What was her name again? I thought. I was so tired I couldn't even remember. "That bucking filly did brain damage, didn't she? I'm going to bucking get those parents, and their little bucking shit of a child, too." Dad mumbled in anger. "Can I go back to bed?" I asked. "Sure thing, sweetheart. Daddy will take care of this." Dad cooed. And so I did. I woke up in the same hospital, but this time it was morning and I woke up remembering everything that happened to me the previous day. I didn't think I was in the hospital though, and instead, I thought I was at school, and my pillow was Sparkling Diamond and she was trying to sneak up behind me. "Not this time!" I screamed, and I attacked my pillow, despite the pain. I kicked and punched, and then a doctor came running in and then I snapped back into reality, and Sparkling Diamond turned into my pillow. "Are you okay, Diamond Tiara? Do you need anything?" he said, in a concerned tone. "I-I just had a nightmare." I stammered. "Well, you have a visitor. Let me tell you the name. Crystal Crown? Is that recognizable?" he asked. My eyes widened. Crystal Crown? That was my sister. I haven't seen her since last year, when I was going into fifth grade and she was going to be a freshman in college. She never really liked to talk, and often kept quiet and stayed in her room. It was like she didn't even live with us. We drifted apart, and I could never tell whether she was home or not. I decided to stop worrying about her and assume she was fine...she acted like she didn't want me to. So I stopped caring. She was beautiful like me, and she had my same mane pattern as me, but her mane was emerald instead of purple. And her fur was white, with blue eyes like mine. Her cutie mark was, well, a crystal crown. "Yeah, she's my sister." I replied. The doctor left, and after a few minutes, Crystal Crown entered, wearing her crown she got from mom. Looking at it saddened me. When mom was born, she got two gifts; a diamond tiara, and a crystal crown from her mom and dad. Her mom gave her the tiara, her dad gave her the crown. She told us she wore each one every other day. Say she wore the tiara on Monday, then on Tuesday, she would wear the crown. And then on Wednesday she would wear the tiara again. And so on. Mom told us she named us after her crown and tiara because she loved us so much. When I was three years old, mom got very sick. She made a will, and wrote in it. "I dedicate my diamond tiara to my daughter, Diamond Tiara. And I dedicate my crystal crown to my daughter, Crystal Crown." She died two months later. It's the most valuable, non-living thing I have in my life. But I think why Crystal was so quiet was because she was so saddened by mom's death. She was much more bright and cheery before mom died. "Hi, DT." she said, shyly. "Hi, CC." I replied. "Are you okay? Dad told me you got severely hurt by a filly at school." she said, walking up to me, "Explain the story." And so I did. "Dating? In sixth grade? That's ridiculous! You should at least wait until you're thirteen, maybe even fourteen, to start dating. Not eleven. Those foals are ridiculous." she said. "Dating or not, for her to snap out on me like that for such a stupid reason is ridiculous." I replied. "No wonder why dad wants to press charges. I'm sure to help you two out at court." she said. Oh, court. Yeah, I forgot about that part. Dad sometimes went to court for business reasons, but they never involved me. I sighed. "I just hope things will turn out to be okay...I never wanted to move, CC. I never wanted to move..." Tears began forming in my eyes. "Hey, shh." Crystal Crown said, stroking my mane as tears went down my cheeks. "It's okay, Diamond Tiara. Y'know, the same thing happened to me when I was a filly your age?" Crystal said. "What? How?" I sniffled. "After mom died, Dad was so devastated even looking at the house would make him cry himself until he faints. We lived in Manehatten. It was a nice house. Anyways, we moved to Ponyville, where he hoped to get some relief and be able to move on. You don't remember moving?" Crystal asked. "No, I don't. The only thing I remember from eight years ago was mom's death." I grunted. "Well, anyways, I wasn't accepted at my new school. It was a very old school, it was on the verge of collapsing. It wasn't ponies from Ponyville that hurt me, they were fine. It was the Fillydelphia ponies. I stood up for myself, but I still ended up at the bottom. Grades sixth through eight were Hell on Equestria. Finally, when I went to Ponyville High, they tore down the school, and all of my bad memories were washed away with that terrible place. They sent the middle school kids to Fillydelphia. Things got better, I got popular, and it was fun." she said, "What I'm trying to tell you, Diamond, is that it will get better." I sniffled, "I was supposed to go to Ponyville Middle School, they built a brand new one. But now I'm stuck at this one. CC, how long will it take?" "A few days, a few months, a few years. I don't know, DT. I can't tell time. But I can tell you it will get better." she replied. "Are-are you sure?" I asked. "I'm sure, DT." she said, and gave me a light hug, "I promise." I think I found a third living thing that I care about.
