Ponyville is a young town, only just over a century old. It usually takes a town a good few generations to build up a supply of secrets and mysteries. Of course, this is Ponyville. There are things hidden in that town that would give even Nightmare Moon the screaming meemies.

While looking through the back archives at Town Hall for completely legitimate reasons, Lyra had stumbled upon a file dating back to the very beginning of the town. Part journal, part report by the Royal Guard, she almost passed over it until she saw them. Pictures. Dozens, most show the remnants of ponies who passed from Equestria violently.. And three very special ones, each of a scrawny, bipedal thing with wicked claws. Now she's determined to find out what happened, what that creature was and what all this babble about rakes is about.
