"You're insane, but I love you for it"
Chapter One
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe whirring sound of the gears is embedded into my brain...I can't sleep. The screams are haunting me, my stallionfriend was killed today.
By me.
I replayed today's sequence in my mind, watching his blood-red coat fade away into a cloudy grey as his essence was poured into the tubes to create one of the many majestic rainbows Equestria has...once in a while.
I didn't like him. He didn't accept me...I didn't accept him, eventually. He didn't like the psychopathic me. The 'me' who wore the blood-stained lab coats, the 'me' who exchanged my feathered wings for blades, the 'me' who laughed when I saw him die.
And now I hear all kinds of voices crying out for help. That only makes me numb, and used to this place. Mares, stallions, fillies, colts of all ages. Disturbing, yet the yells are music to my ears. I toss and turn, burying my muzzle into the cold pillow. The blood from my mane embeds into the sheets, and I lie there.
Still. Silent. Listening.
Perhaps someone has escaped this ghastly factory...yet there is nopony on the record who has. One way or another, you'll end your life.
I don't cry. My tears are broken, the lack of them has dried up my soul. I no longer feel sorry for others. I don't feel sympathy...or empathy.
It's already 7am...they'll be fetching me soon. Part of me wanted to plead, Please...break my shackles. I want this to stop.
Another part of me wanted to see others die.
I sit up and fumble with my lab coat, pulling it on over my cutie mark. I never quite got it...it's kind of a spiral shape. Maybe it's a false talent. Well, fuck you pony anatomy and your puny...
I hear a knock.
