Chapters Hello, my name is....Luna, Luna Moon. I am the Princess of the Moon. I have a sister, Celestia, maybe you've heard of her. Well she raises the sun, as I, I raise the moon. Together, we both bring harmony to the land of Equestria. Well, one day I have gotten very envious of my sister. It was because all of our subjects played and danced in her sun, while they slept and shunned my beautiful night.
Due to this I became awfully jealous of her. After awhile I grew dishonest and full of hate. And when I couldn't take it any longer I morphed into a villainous fiend, that went by the name of......Nightmare Moon, I tried to make it eternal nighttime. Well I tried to destroy her with my new dark powers. She then went to drastic measures and used the most powerful force in all of Equestria. The Elements of Harmony, with them she banished me to the moon for a thousand years. A thousand years had past, and I had returned, but not as Luna. You see while I was on the Moon I grew even angrier with my sister. I thought of how I would get revenge. So when the thousand years past,I held Celestia captive and made it night until Twilight Sparkle and her friends found the elements and used them to defeat me. But since they were the real holders of the elements, they had the power to change me back to Princess Luna. And now I live with my sister as happy as I could be. Until one day, I met someone.
"Mares and gentlecolts, I show you my sister, Princess Luna!" Yelled Celestia. The crowd roared.
"Well Luna, aren't you gonna give a speech to your subjects?" Said Celestia.
"M-my subjects?" She stuttered.
"Well, yeah. They're yours too." Said Celestia in her silky voice. Luna walked over to balcony railing. She cleared her throat and began.
"My loyal subjects, Tis know that I might take some time for thou to trust thee. But, I assure you, I shall not turn back into that horrible fiend. And tis hope that everypony will trust and love me again. And I think I owe an apology to a special somepony. Sister Celestia, tis very sorry for thee mistake, thee was so envious, and didn't think before thy actions. I am fairly sorry for thee mistake that I have made. And I hope that you will forgive thee, and still love thee too." Said Luna about to cry. About everypony was crying, even Princess Celestia! Celestia walked over to Luna and hugged her tightly.
"Oh Lulu, that was so beautiful." Celestia whispered into Luna's ear.
"Thanks, but um ,Tia I can't breathe." Luna struggled to get out. "Oh sorry, I guess I'm just so excited to see again, it's been like centuries! " said Celestia.
"It has been centuries." Said Luna.
"Oh, yeah....right." Said Celestia. "And Luna," murmured Celestia.
"Yes?" Said Luna as she turned back to the roaring crowd.
"I think I owe you an apology too," said Celestia. Luna turned to her sister, not believing what she was hearing.
"What?" Luna whispered.
"I said, I think I owe you an apology," said Celestia.
"Oh Tia you owe me nothing." Said Luna.
"No. I'm the reason you became Nightmare Moon! It's because I didn't show you my love. The only reason you turned evil is because you thought that nopony loved you!" Luna gawked at her low voiced sister, that now is screaming and shouting. "I sat back and watched as you growing darker and more evil!" Yelled Celestia. Luna strared at Celestia in pure shock. Celestia started to cry. "I missed you so much." Celestia cried into Luna's shoulder. Everyone was shocked, they have never seen Princess Celestia have such mood swings.
"It's okay, I'm here now.........and I'm not EVER going away again." Luna whispered into Celestia's ear. Luna walked back up to royal balcony railing and said, "Citizens of Canterlot, I think I speak for me and my sister when I say that we are glad of my return and transformation back into Princess Luna. So happy that we invite everypony to the party of my arrival! " the crowd roared. It starts one week from now. I hope you will attend. It shall be a ball." Luna and Celestia waved one more time, and walked back into the castle.
They were walking down the hallway when Luna realized that there was new guards. "Tia I just realized that I don't know any of guards names!" Yelled Luna.
"Why do you want to know?" Celestia asked. "
So I can thank them properly, and what someone needs me to find a specific guard but I don't the name of that guard!" Luna yelled.
"Alright, alright then. We'll have a meeting with all the guards and you can learn all of their names." Celestia said with a smile.
"Great, we shall start at high noon." Luna said with a wide smile.
"Okay let's get to your bed chambers, your probably exhausted, you normally sleep during day." Celestia said. Luna yawned.
"Yeah I am pretty tired and hungry. And I think I still have moon dust in my mane and tail." Luna said.
"Well I'll get the bathing crew, and ask the chef if he could make something yummy." Celestia said.
"Wow that sounds great Tia!" Luna said in her teenage voice. Around the corner a Pegasus stallion with a dark blue coat, and lighter blue mane and tail. He had a moon cutie mark with a beam coming off of it. With baby blue eyes was walking down the hallway to see his buddy Terry about the party for Princess Luna.
"Ahhhh Princess Luna! He had always loved the night. Every night he would stay up till he collapsed of exhaustion. That probably explained why he was often late to his morning duties. And just the thought about seeing the Princess who made that beautiful sky with its dark blues, violets, and blacks. And it's covered with thousands of gleaming lights, along with the biggest gem out there. He had always thought of the idea of having a life with her.

Chapter 2: Terry
Though he's never seen her. But what he didn't realize is that his dream mare is right around the corner. His name is Moonbeam. Moonbeam was walking around the corner when he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw a blue mare with a moon cutiemark, and a black tiara with a black breastplate, and glowing silver shoes.
Luna turned around to see a bowing blue pegasus pony.
"Why hello Moonbeam." Celestia said in her silky tone.
"Hello, Princess." He replied with a smile. Luna was puzzled.
"Moonbeam?" She said with a puzzled look.
"Oh, sorry. Luna, meet Moonbeam. He is one the morning guards. Moonbeam, Luna. She is Equestria's beloved night Princess and guardian of dreams." Celestia said. Moonbeam's jaws dropped!
"Ohmygosh, ohmygosh. The actual Princess Luna? Oh I have always wanted to see you in person! Wow, your even more beautiful than I imagined!" Moonbeam said in enthused tone.
"Why thank you Moonbeam, but this is my weakest stage. I'm gonna have a flowing mane just like Celsetia's and I'm going to be a darker color. When I was struck by the elements, they sucked all my dark magic, and regular magic out with my dark soul." Luna said. Moonbeam circled around her a couple times studying her with his big blue eyes full of wonder. He stopped circling and stood in front of her.
"I still don't get it. How can get even more beautiful than that?!" Moonbeam said. Luna blushed.
"I know right. My sister is quite adorable. But she does have a temper." Celestia said agreeing with Moonbeam.
"Well anyway I am really tired and hungry, so nice meeting you Moonbeam." Luna said. She hugged him tightly and turned to Celestia.
"Nice seeing you too, Tia." Luna walked over and gave Celestia a ginormous hug. She then trotted down and around the corner, disappearing from view.
Celestia looked at Moonbeam with a affectionate expression. Moonbeam looked down the hallway corner where Luna left.
"Wow she is something. I hope I can see her again. " he turned around and saw Princess Celestia's expression.
"What?!" Moonbeam asked with a confused expression.
"Oh come on Moonbeam." Celestia said rolling her violet eyes.
"What!" He said even more confused than before.
"Luna and Moonbeam sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Celestia sang mockingly. Moonbeam's light blue turned to a bright pink.
"V-very mature Princess!" Moonbeam stuttered. Celestia chuckled and walked to Luna's bed chambers.
When Celestia walked in to Luna's bed chambers she was getting pampered. She just got bathed, cause her hair was still wet. One of the staff members named Neon Stars was brushing Luna's hair as gently as she could. Making sure to carefully brush over each blue strand. Another was Maiden Marcy, who was polishing Luna's hooves making sure the her hooves shined as bright as her moon. And the last was Berry Blossom, who was shining Luna's shoes, tiara, and breastplate. She also redid Luna's make-up. Celestia shut the door again and walked down to the kitchen.
"WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS! The head chef, Chef Krumps screamed at a now crying mare.
"Get out of my kitchen." Chef Krumps said as he looked down upon the sobbing mare. She ran out of the kitchen.
"Well, I see your still making your fellow employees cry right when they walk into the kitchen." Celestia said with a frown.
"Ahhhh Princess. Come, come." He said with a smile.
"Listen Chef Krumps, I need you to make something for Luna. She just came back from the moon and I think you should make her the most delicious meal.
" Celestia said. "Hmmmm. Well I'll see what I can make." He said with a sigh. "Now one question who is Luna?" Chef Krumps said with a confused expression. Celestia looked at him with a dumbfounded looked, mouth open and eyes wide.
"H-how do you not know my own sister! FOR HEAVENS SAKE SHE IS THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT! SHE RAISES THE MOON, SHE TURNED INTO NIGHTMARE MOON. SHE WAS BANISHED FOR A THOUSAND YEARS BY THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY. SHE IS MY LIFE! WITHOUT HER I WOULD BE NOTHING!" Celestia screamed with complete shock. All the stallions was trying to imagine a Princess Luna.
"Well then, I will get on it Princess." Chef Krumps quickly got to work. Celestia huffed, then suddenly her face went back to its sweet expression as usual.
"Thank you. I shall tell her now." Celestia said with a nod of her head.
Moonbeam was walking down to the locker rooms for the guards, to see his friend Terry. Terry was a unicorn. He was white with a grey and light blue mane. He had greyish-blue eyes with a black shield that has a star on it for a cutiemark. Because of his cutiemark, Princess Celestia assigned him a night guard. Because he was a night guard and Moonbeam was a morning guard, then every evening they would meet up in the locker room and talk until Terry had to go to do his nighttime duties. Moonbeam walked through the doors an trotted all the way to the back of the locker room. Passing other guards who had night shifts.
"Lucky bastards." Moonbeam thought to him self. He saw Terry and sat by him.
"Hey Moonbeam! Wazzzup?" Terry said in his loud but fun voice. Moonbeam was just looking in the distance. Thinking really hard.
"Ummm, hello Equestria to Moonbeam. Come in Moonbeam." Terry said waving his hoof in front of Moonbeam's face.
"Huh, what!?" Moonbeam said.
"Okay Moonbeam, whose the mare?" Terry said sitting down on the bench.
"What do you mean?" Moonbeam said while looking the other way not wanting to make eye contact with his curious friend.
"Oh come on! You have that long look. And your not making eye contact because you know your eyes read it all." Terry said while laughing. Moonbeam sighed knowing that his friend was going to find out sooner or later.
"You caught me" Moonbeam said with a sigh.
Author's Note
I hope you enjoy this chapter as well as the last. It took me forever to make it. I originally made the first chapter at least 5 of this chapters into one. So I just divided it into five or six other chapters, to save time.
Chapter 4: Midnight Garden Stroll
Moonbeam was walking down a corridor when somepony knocked him over.
"Oh my. I'm so sorry!" A familiar voice said. Moonbeam looked up and saw big pools. Luna helped him up.
"I apologize Moonbeam. I was rushing to raise the moon and-
"WAIT YOUR ABOUT TO RAISE THE MOON!" Moonbeam squeaked.
"Well yeah. You wanna watch?" Luna asked.
"Of course. I love the moon! At least you can look at it." Moonbeam said.
"Follow me." Luna said as she trotted down the corridor. All the guards had their jaws dropped. Others were giving a jealous look. Moonbeam stuck out his tongue. They passed rooms until they reached a balcony. Moonbeam stood beside Luna. Luna stood in the middle. Her horn glowed, and she shut her eyes. You could see the moon starting to peak up from the horizon. And Moonbeam watched with wide eyes. When the moon reached it's peak in the sky, Luna's horn stopped glowing. She slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the moon and screamed.
"I DID IT YES!!!!" She flew into the sky. Moonbeam followed. She flew to the garden. Luna landed next to her. He looked at her. Luna looked at him wide eyed too. "That was awesome." Moonbeam said breathless.
"I know right." Luna said as she stared at his baby blues. She sat there staring into his eyes.
She finally said, "Your eyes are beautiful."
"Mine, yours are gorgeous!" Moonbeam said with a smile. Luna blushed. She trotted down a stone path. As they passed each statue she could describe each pony. When she finally reached the last statue she froze. It was the statue of Discord, the god of chaos himself.
"Wait isn't that?" Moonbeam asked. Luna slowly walked up to him. She flew up to his face and touched it with a gentle hoof. She started to tear up.
"What's the matter?" Moonbeam asked. Luna hugged Moonbeam making Him flinch in shock.
She started to sob into his chest. Moonbeam started to rub her back.
"H-he was me and Celestia's f-friend." Luna sobbed out.
"Oh. But I thought you guys defeated him." Moonbeam said with confusion. "We did but. Before he was corrupted, he was our friend. He would read me bed time stories and made them come to life with his magic. A-and he would play with me and Tia." Luna said parting from Moonbeam.
"Sorry, I cried on you. I just can't bear to see him this way." Luna said while slowly walking down the stone walkway. Her head hanging low to the ground. Moonbeam felt sad, he looked at the statue and Luna. He ran up to Luna and put his arm around her.
"Your sweet." Luna said. "You are too. Clarice told everypony that she was having brunch with you." Moonbeam said. Luna looked at him with her pools which seemed to turn even more blue in the moonlight. She started to nuzzle him.
"I like you." Luna whispered softly. Moonbeam turned a bright pink. She giggled and walked up to a tree and sat there, Moonbeam quickly sat down too.
She was looking at the moon, it's reflection in her eyes. Moonbeam just sat there staring at her. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back.
"So Moonbeam, I heard you have always wanted to be a night guard huh." Luna said looking back at the moon.
"Well yeah. I think it would awesome! Getting to look at your stars all the time." Moonbeam said with a smile. Luna blushed and said,
"Well I can make you one. You'll just have to change your sleeping pattern to match mine. Sleep during day, up at night." Luna said looking back at Moonbeam.
"Really! You'll do that for me?" Moonbeam asked with a enthused tone.
"Well yeah." Luna said. "Wow I would love that, but not as much as how I love you." Moonbeam said nuzzling Luna. Luna nuzzled him back. Terry was watching them.
"Lucky bastard." Terry whispered to himself. When they parted Luna stared into his eyes. She leaned in and closed her eyes slowly,
Moonbeam followed. She was so close that she could feel his warm breathe on her face. Terry had to end this. For he wanted Luna to himself. He quickly trotted over to the tree and shone his flashlight on Luna and Moonbeam quickly ruining the moment.
"Hey what are you doing." Terry said shining the light in the couples eyes.
"Well we were having a moment." Moonbeam said. "Let me handle this." Luna said putting a hoof on the pouting Moonbeam. She cleared her throat and gave Terry a serious look that kind of scared Terry.
"What is your name?" Luna asked looking down on the terrified night guard.
"T-Terry, miss Luna." Terry said pushing out his chest.
"I am not miss Luna, I am Princess Luna. Got that and why are you in the garden mister Terry?" Luna said making the unicorn shrink down with terror.
"I was walking around looking for any trespassers, and I heard a commotion here so I went to c-check it out." Terry said starting to back up because Luna was slowly getting closer.
"And I saw a shadow of something so I shined my flashlight and found you two." Terry said accidentally backing into a tree. Luna stared at him one eyebrow raised. Her blue eyes piercing his soul. Terry looked the other way not wanting to stare at her penetrating eyes. Moonbeam was just I the background giggling.
"S-sorry Princess." Terry stuttered.
"Yes, you should be sorry. You had just ruined a moment with my, uhh." Luna was trying to think of something to call Moonbeam.
"Ahhhh, yes me and my coltfriend, Moonbeam." Luna said turning her head and smiling at Moonbeam. Moonbeam just sat there in plain shock.
"C-coltfriend?" Terry asked in confusion.
"Why yes. My coltfriend. You should apologize for ruining a moment between us." Luna said kind of blushing. Moonbeam was blushing very badly.
Terry walked up to Moonbeam and bowed at him and said, "My apologies Moonbeam-
"Sir Moonbeam." Luna interrupted. Terry cleared his throat and said, "Sir Moonbeam."
"For...." Luna added. Terry sighed.
"For ruining your moment with your marefriend." Terry finished looking at Luna to see if she was satisfied with his apology. She nodded and sent him on his way.
"So, I'm your coltfriend?" Moonbeam said looking at Luna. Luna blushed and looked at him with her sparkling eyes. Moonbeam was trying to be cool.
"Well yeah, that's cool and all." Moonbeam said as he turned his in the direction where Terry had left. Luna kissed his cheek, it felt like a puffy cloud gently pushing against your face. Moonbeam flushed.
"I-if you want to be." Luna said staring at her hooves playing with the grass. Luna looked back at him with hopeful eyes. Moonbeam touched her face with his hoof as gently as he could. Treating her like a delicate flower.
Luna leaned her face on his hoof and smiled at his touch. Moonbeam smiled at her. He slowly closed his eyes and leaned in. Luna did the same. Again she could feel his warm breathe on her muzzle. She liked it. When they joined muzzles, Luna felt as if she had no heart. Cause it just....melted into the kiss. Moonbeam felt as if he wanted to soar into the sky. He was kissing his idol! The pony he looked up too. When they parted Luna and Moonbeam was feeling a little hazy. Little did they know that Dark Shadow was watching the whole time. He clenched his teeth at them.
"Errr. That should be me, not Moonbeam. Just wait, I'm gonna tell everypony. Let's see how Princess Celestia takes having her little Lulu kissing stallions. Especially royal guards." Dark Shadow thought evilly to himself.
Chapter 5: The Next Morning
The Next Morning
Moonbeam woke up by the tree that him and Luna was sitting at.
"I must of passed out last night. " Moonbeam thought to himself. He rubbed his dazed eyes, still trying to wake up. He looked next to him noticing that Luna was gone.
"Luna! Luna!" He called out. After at least ten minutes of shouting her name, he sat down by the tree, tears streaming down his face. "
I should've known. I should've known it wouldn't last. " Moonbeam thought sadly, making his soul and heart sink to the ground. A shadow flown over him making look up. All he saw was aquamarine eyes staring wide eyed at him. Moonbeam's soul lifted.
"Morning Moonbeam." Luna said in almost a whisper. He smiled at Luna.
"Good morning." He said back. She turned away, as she did he quickly wiped the tear trails off his face.
Luna levitated a basket over toward Moonbeam. It was still dark out, but Moonbeam didn't care. As long as he was with Luna, he didn't care what time or place it was. Luna sat right next to Moonbeam. She levitated out a large blanket. It was a very beautiful blanket. It was a deep purple, with a black trim. It had blue accents, like electric blue. And it had Luna's cutiemark. She laid it on the ground under the big oak tree. She pulled out two plates, cups, candles, forks, spoons, butter knives, and napkins. She laid out each objects in a neat set up. Moonbeam looked confused. She lit the candles with her magic. Since she used her magic the fire was a light purple and blue. Moonbeam stared at the beautiful fire before him.
"Woah. How did you do that?" Moonbeam said while cocking his head. Luna giggled.
"Well...MAGIC!" She said with a giggle.
"Oh, yeah." Moonbeam said feeling dumb.
"So....watcha doing?" Moonbeam asked looking back at Luna.
"I'm preparing breakfast! Well, more like dinner for me." Luna chuckled.
Moonbeam looked into the basket. There's no food!
"Hey, uh, Lulu?" Moonbeam said with a confused tone.
"Yes, my miniature moon?" Joked Luna.
"Um, where's the food?" He said looking at her, head tilted to the side.
"He looks so adorable! " Luna thought to herself quickly shaking away the thought.
"You'll see." She said with a mischievous grin.
"I'm scared." He said folding down his ears. Luna giggled. She lit her horn, and stared at her plate, concentrating really hard. She was still very young for an alicorn.
"Come, come on. " she said, pleading inside her. She stuck out her tongue. Moonbeam just stared at her, then the plate, then her.
Then a wave of bright blue light shone over the plate. It was too bright for Moonbeam to stare at. He quickly turned away, eyes shut tightly. It quickly vanished. He looked back up. And saw a plate full of food. Luna looked at her work. She smiled a impressed look.
"Woah." Said Moonbeam breathless. Luna stood up and trotted over to Moonbeam and did the same with his plate.
Luna began eating. Moonbeam wanted to eat, but was scared that Luna would think he was a slob. I mean unicorns and alicorns can use magic to eat. But he was a Pegasus and hooves wasn't the easiest for pegasi or earth ponies to use their hooves to eat. So it wasn't easy for pegasi or earth ponies to eat mannerly.
He slowly picked up the fork with his mouth, and bent his neck in a way that he probably shouldn't. His head was right over his plate and stabbed a piece of haybrowns and raised his fork and the haybrowns to eye level. But that was when he realized how was he was get it in his mouth. He slowly opened his mouth, and when he did the fork fell out and onto his plate. Luna giggled, while levitating the fork and putting it back on its place. Right on the napkin.
"Just eat like you would normally." Luna said giving he a warm smile. He looked down embarrassment.
She went back to her food. And Moonbeam took a bite from the haybrowns. And his taste buds exploded! He could taste the seasoning, and the sweetness from the honey.
"Mmmmmm." Moonbeam chimed from his throat. Luna giggled at him. He had never tasted something so good! And that was just the first bite.
When they finished, Luna levitated a nice blue lunchbox. It was the same blue as her hair, and it also had lighter blue swirls like his hair color. And in the middle was his cutiemark!
"Wow this is beautiful!" Moonbeam said looking at every detail carefully.
"Oops, almost forgot." Luna said as she opened it and levitated all the delicious food out and used her magic to engrave the words, Moonbeam's Lunchbox.
"Woah." Moonbeam said breathlessly. Luna placed all the food back inside of it.
"Now my dear Moonbeam, this is a special kind of box. This one can hold anything without getting heavy, or losing space. So it's perfect for your stallion appetite!" Luna said, patting his tummy.
"Wow, thanks! That's very kind of you Luna." Moonbeam said smiling at her.
"Your welcome. And I already packed it." Luna said.
"Your the best!" Moonbeam said giving her a huge hug. She was shocked at first, but hugged him back. When they parted, Moonbeam kissed her right on the cheek! Luna giggled. And handed him his helmet, chest plate, and shoes.
"Thanks." Moonbeam said. Luna levitated the armor and placed it all on him.
"Your welcome." She said while putting on his helmet.
"I'll see you later?" Moonbeam asked hoping to see her again.
"Of course. But for now, I need to sleep." She kissed him, and Moonbeam melted into the kiss. Moonbeam lifted his hoof to her face. And pushed back her bangs, that ended up splattered on her face.
When they parted, Moonbeam gave her a loving smile. Luna gave it back. He gave her a tight hug, and he started hovering, and flew off waving crashing into a cloud at the same time. But he tried to play it off. She sighed and went to trot back to the castle, when she was blocked a white figure. Luna knew right away what the white figure was. It was Celestia, she was glaring down at her with her violet eyes.
"Oh hey Tia!" Luna chimed up, breaking the silence. Celestia just glared at her.
"Um are you okay Tia, you look angry. Did you not get enough beauty sleep?" Luna asked while putting a hoof up.
Celestia just took in a deep breath and sighed very loudly, like she was zombie pony or something. She straightened up and spoke. "Luna, I understand that you are in the likes of one of our royal guards. The one by the name of Moonbeam. Am I right?" Celestia said with a calm tone. Luna stared at her with wide eyes.
"Ohmygosh!! How did she figure out?! Was she watching? Did Moonbeam tell? He couldn't of, I was watching him sleep, to make sure he didn't have a nightmare. Oh come on Luna! You're the Princess of the Night! You've dealt with scarier things than Celestia! Sheesh you're the one who betrayed her! And you were such a threat to her that she banished you! So snap out of it!" Luna thought gaining the confidence to finally speak.
"Well your findings are, right." Luna said putting her head down while sighing. "Luna! You know we're not supposed to date royal guards! Why their here to protect us! You must break things off! Why just imagine if w-" Celestia cut herself off noticing the tear slowly making its way down her cheek. Celestia sighed.
She felt really bad for making her sister cry. Luna couldn't help but to cry. She felt warm feathers bend over her back and formed into a hug. She opened her eyes to see Celestia nuzzling her. Luna started to cry again, but this time it was tears of joy.
"But seriously you can't." Celestia said while ending the hug.
"But Tia!" Luna whined. "Tia nothing. You know the rules. And anyway, your immortal! He's not. You wouldn't want to watch him die while you don't look a day older. I know what it feels like. I've loved and I've lost. I don't want you to go through it too. Trust me it happened to me. And I don't want it happen to you." Celestia said turning around and started to walk toward the castle.
Luna trotted over to her side.
"What do you mean by you've loved and lost?" Luna asked quickly regretting she did. Celestia couldn't help it, even though her facial expression was intense she had a tear slowly making down her cheek and falling off her muzzle, and hitting the grass.
"Long story short, we fell in love, he grew old, and me....not a day older. He died, gladly in his sleep. I heard the news from his mother. She was probably the sweetest mare I knew. Well, until I met Fluttershy. Anyway, I went to the funeral, of course everyone bowed to me. But I didn't let them, it was his funeral. Anyway, after all that I learned not to get too attached to my friends, or anypony. Luna looked down, making her feel depressed.
"Tia, I'm sorry that you have lost your love, but Moonbeam is my special somepony. He loves me, and I love him. I don't care what anypony says. We will be together. I will find a way to make that happen." Luna said while stomping the ground. Celestia looked at her sister.
"Lulu, I know your angry but-
"I AM NOT ANGRY! I AM FURIOUS!" Luna yelled. She started to trot toward the castle. She ran the corridors, passing her friend Calrice.
"Hello Miss Luna! I will see you at brunch!" Clarice yelled as Luna ran past her. She ran into a dark bat pony.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! " Luna said while helping up the bat pony. "It's okay." The bat pony had a cracky voice.
"No it's not. How can I repay you?" Luna asked staring at the bat pony. He was really handsome. His coat was a really dark grey. Like normal bat ponies. His hair was absolutely gorgeous! His hair was neon blue! It shined so bright like a blue sapphire. His eyes were so green, they looked like glowing emeralds. The bat pony looked at Luna. With complete shock.
"Ohmygosh!! " The strange bat pony said as he jumped up and down like a little filly.
Luna was confused.
"Are you the Pricess Luna!?" The strange bat pony asked sticking his muzzle in Luna's face.
Luna said, "Yeah that's me. Well I have to go, so I'll see you." She started to make her way down the corridor.
Every guard she passed said, "Hello Princess!" Luna perked up and plastered on a smile. She was good at hiding her feelings. She said hi and made her way to her bed chambers. She walked to her balcony. She stood there exhausted, she lit her horn, lowering the moon. Watching it's glowing white light, slowly turn to bright yellow light, as Celestia raised her sun. She was so tired. She flipped off her shoes, and set them neatly by her bedside. She pulled off her breastplate, gently setting it on her dresser.
She levitated her crown, and looked at it for a long moment. Luna sighed, as she gently set the little black tiara on her vanity. She looked in the mirror. She levitated a brush over and softly brushed her luscious locks. She put it into a sloppy bun, that just sat on the back of her head. She approached her bed, lifting the bed covers and sliding in. Before she knew her vision started to fade to black, as she was entering her sleep.

"Where am I?" Luna asked as she started to look around. It was the castle of the two sisters. Her and Celestia's castle that they had when they started out as princess's. But why was she here? Luna started to look around. The castle looks like it had been halfway destroyed. There was servant ponies carrying out furniture. Luna went to ask one of the ponies what was going on, when the pony passed right through her! Like she was a ghost. Luna processed everything and realized what was going on.
"This must be a dream!" She shouted expecting to have tons of eyes on her looking at her from her little outburst, but they just kept looking forward carrying supplies and furniture. This was odd, you wouldn't expect a dream walker to have dreams. As Luna passed the depressed ponies she realized a familiar piece of furniture. It was a golden throne. It was a white marble throne, with gold encrusted into it. It had red velvet seat cushioning on the throne. It had a golden sun setting on the top of it. Luna suddenly realized that the throne belonged to Celestia. She remembered sitting in it and acting like Celestia to play a prank on the guards. Good times.
She also saw another throne. This one was blue marble, with silver encrusted into it. And it had black leather cushions. With a silver moon setting on the top of it shining brightly. Luna walked into the doorway, trying to pass the rubble. She saw a pearly white alicorn. She had light bubblegum pink hair. And was crying her eyes out. Luna stepped up to her.
"A-are you okay?" She asked. The alicorn didn't budge. The alicorn started to sing in a very silky yet teenage tone.
"Oh sister please forgive me, Why did it have to end like this? If only I had just been there for you, Just like I've ought of two, I was remised. So distracted by my duties. And know I'm alone, I just don't know what to do. Do you wanna see the moon rise."
The alicorn stared up at the statue, it was a statue of two alicorns. One was bigger than the other. Luna started to sing in response, knowing the alicorn wouldn't hear her.
"Once did a pony who gleamed like the moon, Look out on her kingdom and sighed. Dijected she cried, Surely no is no pony who loves me, or finds any love in my night."
Luna finished her little song, and began to tear up. She went to hug Celestia, only to fall straight through her. She landed on the floor with a oof! She cried and cried until everything started to whirl and spin. Luna jumped up breathing heavily. She woke up to her alarm clock. It was the morning about to make way for the afternoon. Luna wiped the sweat from her forehead and tear trails. She shifted lazily out of bed. She moped out to the door. Her mane was still in a sloppy bun. But a little more messier than before.
She opened her door. And yawned. She slowly opened her eyes only to see a guard standing in front of her.
"Um hello there Princess." The guard said with a smile. Luna yawned and stretched her wings.
"Tired." She said with a muffled tone.
"Not a morning pony, huh?" The guard said teasingly.
"Oh you have no idea." Luna said with a giggle. The guard returned to his post.
Luna walked back into her room, and put on her fuzzy socks. They were very fuzzy, and was a dark blue with a baby blue. Her mane was knotted too, but she didn't care, she was hungry. And she had brunch with Clarice today. She walked out her door and shut it behind her. She slowly and mopily made her way down the corridor. She looked down the flight of stairs and moaned.
She looked at the ceiling and said, "I'm getting to old for this!" Which made a guard laugh.
"What?" Luna asked in confusion.
The guard stopped laughing said, "Well you said you're getting too old for this, and your probably still a teenager, right?" Luna laughed.
"No, silly filly. I'm about over a thousand years old.
The guard looked at her with shock. She looks so young. She just giggled and made her way down the stairs. She remembered that she also had a meeting with guards to learn their names. She moaned again.
"I need sleep!" She yelled putting her head down. She then remembered she had a spell to give her 12 hours of sleep in seconds. She lit her horn and chanted some words. Before she knew it, she was alive with energy.
She trotted to the kitchen. Everypony bowed.
"I'm just here to get a late night, or afternoon snack." She said passing them.
Chef Krumps walked up to Luna and said, "Princess, ah there you are. I have made a delicious snack creation." He pointed at a plate. They were tiny sandwiches, cut like suns and moons. They had freshly cut grass, with daisy petals, cucumbers, and a toothpick going through it with a olive on the toothpick. Luna's mouth watered, as she smelled the deliciousness of his creation.
"Oh, my, gosh!" Luna said as her eyes grew wider. The chef looked proud of himself.
Luna said, "Oh look over there!" She said while pointing her hoof the other way. Of course chef Krump looked that way. Luna levitated the plate of sandwiches.
All the cooks started to giggle as Luna put her hoof to her mouth and did a "shhhhh." Which made them giggle even more. There was at least 40 sandwiches stacked on that plate. She levitated the sandwiches and handed them out to each cook.
Luna went to the dining table, where she saw Celestia counting the taxes, and signing documents. Luna put her sandwiches on the table. The table was a dark polished wood, with a red piece of crushed velvet running down the center. Celestia had on some pink glasses, and was reading very softly. Luna sat down and munched on her sandwiches. Luna levitated at least six of the sandwiches over to where Celestia was sitting.
"Oh thank you Luna. Why are you up I thought you rested during the day and guarded the night." Celestia said, finally looking away from the documents.
"Well I have brunch with Clarice today, and we have the meeting with the guards too. So I used the resting spell. It gives you 12 hours of sleep in seconds. Very useful, if you ask me." Luna said with a smile. Celestia giggled.
"Yup that spell has saved me too. When you were gone, I was drowning in documents and papers." Celestia nudging her at the stack of documents she had.
"Wow." Luna said looking at the papers.
"Well I have to go have to get ready for brunch." Luna said getting up from the table.
"Okay. Oh and another thing Luna. I love you." Celestia said giving her sister a loving look. Luna flew over to Celestia and kissed her on the head.
"Love you too." Luna whispered into Celestia's ear.
Celestia nuzzled Luna, and Luna nuzzled her back. When they parted Luna waved goodbye and made her way up the stairs. She trotted into her bed chambers and quietly shut her door. She went into her bathroom and turned on the bathtub. She poured in bath beads that smelled of lavenders and a fresh waterfall. As the bath beads dissolved Luna took her bun out, and jumped into the bathtub. She washed her mane and tail. And washed her coat and face. When she finished bathing, she took a towel and rubbed herself dry.
She opened the cabinet under the sink, and grabbed a couple bottles. She squirted out one of the bottles that was to make your mane and tail smell like flowers. She squirted it into a tiny bowl and set it aside. She liked the smell of flowers but she liked to mix it with another fragrance, that she made up herself. It was like the smell of nighttime air. She took another bottle and squirted out a little more than the other one. She took a Popsicle stick and stirred the two liquids until they made one. And she put them into a perfume bottle. And sprayed herself. She like the mixture, not too strong, not too weak. If you stood next to her you could smell it.
She brushed her mane and tail. Since she was having brunch in the garden, she thought of wearing something floral. She found a cute baby blue dress. It had purple, pink, and black flowers on it. She has a little hat with a feather sticking out of it. She put on her silver shoes. And went to the other side of the room, to a jewelry box. She picked out a purple gem necklace, and blue flower shaped earrings.
She did her normal light blue eye shadow, and headed off. All the guards had their mouths wide open as Luna passed them in her little outfit.
Celestia walked up from behind her and said, "What you doin? " Luna perked up at the sound of her sister.
"I'm going to see Clarice for brunch." Luna said looking at her sister.
"Well I had the cooks set up a table in the garden.
"Really? Wow thanks that's really sweet." Luna said growing excited.
"Hey anything for my lil sis." Celestia said as she nuzzled Luna. Luna hugged her and trotted off to the garden to find Clarice sitting with excitement.
"Hello Clarice." Luna said as she walked up.
"Wow Princess you look amazing!" Clarice said as she studied Luna's look.
"Awwww, thank you. And as I say you look gorgeous too."
Clarice was wearing a pink dress with yellow flowers in her hair. She was also wearing a pink hat, that also had yellow flowers on it.
"Thank you Princess." Clarice said.
"So how does it feel? " Clarice said looking down at her tea.
"How does what feel?" Luna said looking at the unicorn.
"To be back, you know home. Must be awesome! I mean ponies bow at you. And serve you, and clean for you." Clarice said waving her hoof in the air.
"Well, it's great to be back but. I really don't like it when others bow to me, it makes me feel better than other ponies. And yes being served is nice but with my magic, I can easily pop up food when I please. But I don't like too. It takes a lot out of you to preform that spell. And I can also clean too but I don't know having ponies is really nice too." Finished Luna.
As they sipped their tea, they kept talking about normal things like, work, family, and friends. Luna would tell Clarice stories about how her and Celestia were so immature back then. And star swirl was their friend. She kept out Discord, knowing it would make her cry to even think about him. When their brunch was over Clarice waved goodbye, and Luna did too. Luna went to walk in the garden, since she was already there. She kept walking and saw a familiar figure. It was Moonbeam. He was with that Terry guy.
Luna approached them, and said hello.
"Oh hey lulu." Moonbeam said as he hugged his marefriend.
"Hello Princess." He said as he saluted to her. She rolled her eyes.
"Please, just call me Luna." She said as she held out her hoof for him to shake. Terry looked in embarrassment, and shook her hoof. When they finished talking, Terry left and Moonbeam and Luna walked back to the castle.
"So when is the ball? " Moonbeam asked as they walked through the corridor.
"It's next week, on a Tuesday." Luna said as she turned the corner, hugging close to Moonbeam.
"Well d-do you wanna g-g-go to the, to the ball with m-me?" Moonbeam asked face flushed a dark pink.
"O-of course." Luna whispered. As she leaned on Moonbeam's chest. Moonbeam wing-hugged her. And she gave him a peck on the cheek, and then went into her bed chambers. She leaned against her door as she sighed happily not wanting to stop the feeling of her heart soaring in the sky like a eagle. She couldn't wait for the guard meeting.
But she really couldn't wait for the party.

Chapter 7: Guard meeting
Moonbeam walked down the long corridor. He was thinking really hard. He wanted to look nice for Luna's party. But the fanciest thing he had was a black bow tie. And that wasn't good enough. No, he wanted a suit. He walked up to a servant pony, to ask her if she has
"Well the last I saw her, she was in the Alicorn Archives, reading documents, and scrolls to her former student Twilght Sparkle." The maid had said rubbing her chin.
"Why thank you Maria." Moonbeam said bowing to the maid.
It made her blush of course, being Maria and all. Though Moonbeam has always been the charmer, at least that's what his friends had said. Moonbeam trotted down the corridor, his light blue tail bouncing back and forth, making Maria stare. Maria has always liked Moonbeam, he was nice and gentle. Like a former Pegasus that came with Twilight. And he was sometimes a daredevil, like another Pegasus, who was also Ms. Sparkles friend. He was very handsome too. His baby blues could make any mare freeze at the very site of them. Maria liked stallions, but if she was into mares, she would try to talk to Princess Luna. She was just gorgeous!
"Maria! Maria! Guess what!?" A pink mare with a purple curly mane that was put up into a nice neat bun.
"Huh, what what happened." Maria said quickly returning back to reality.
"Moonbeam and Luna are dating! Their such a cute couple. I totes ship them." The pink mare said jumping up and down. Like a specific pink pony she knows to be another one of Twilight's friends.
"What! Their d-d-da-dati-dating?" Maria said while looking very shocked.
"Well yeah. I thought you knew. I mean everypony has been gossiping about it, even the royal guards! And they don't like to gossip." Said the pink servant pony.
"Well I guess I wanted to get a good check, instead of talking and getting a smaller one." Maria said.
"And anyways, I don't like gossip. Unlike you, Bubble Blast." Maria said as she sighed, knowing that Moonbeam would want to stay with Luna forever. I means he's so beautiful. Her blue mane that shines like running water. And her eyes, oh my Celestia! They are like bright blu orbs. Maria said her goodbye to Bubble Blast, and went back to her job.
"You better treat her right" Moonbeam said intimidating the orange unicorn.
"Really Moonbeam?" Maria asked, giggling a little.
"What's your problem? Are you her brother?" The unicorn said.
"Something like that." Moonbeam said looking at Maria. Maria giggled. The unicorn just felt confused.
"Welp, I'll see you two later. Gotta fly." Moonbeam said winking and smiling at Maria, while taking off into the sky disappearing into the distance. Maria sighed as he flew off.
"Well that wasn't weird at all. Do you wanna go?" The unicorn said looking away from where Moonbeam left. Maria was still looking in the distance from where Moonbeam left.
"Hello Maria? Are you still in reality?" The unicorn said touching Maria's shoulder.
"Hmm? Oh yeah we should go." Maria said starting to trot up ahead.
"She totally has the hots for that blue Pegasus. " thought the unicorn.
"Whatever." He said as he trotted up next to Maria.
Moonbeam walked up to Celestia and bowed to her.
"Your highness, I wanna ask you a question." Moonbeam said looking up at the mighty Sun Goddess.
"Yes, what is it Moonbeam?" Celestia said looking away from her documents.
"I wanted to ask you if you know any good designers. So do you?" Moonbeam asked giving a hopeful look.
"Why I do. Her name is Rarity. She is a white unicorn, with a curly purple mane and tail. She works in carousel boutique in the little village Ponyville. She is one of Twilight's friends. Twilight is my former student. So I can contact her and ask her to come to Canterlot and make you a suit for the party. I'm guessing that's what you want, am I correct? " Said Celestia.
"Yes you are. Thank you so very much Princess." Moonbeam smiling and thanking Celestia.
Moonbeam walked out of the Archives, and to the locker room to put on his armor. Luna went through took off her garden out fit and slipped on her shoes, and placed on her breastplate. And gently put her crown on. She brushed her hair again getting out the knots that showed up during brunch. She styled it into a cute little ponytail. And she sprayed herself with her perfume she walked out of her room.
And she trotted to the throne room. As she entered she saw a whole lot of guards. She made her way to the thrones, and noticed that Celestia wasn't there yet. All the guards were talking to each other. She looked over the crowd of stallions and noticed a blue Pegasus. It was Moonbeam, he was talking to Terry, and a bat pony that Luna has met, his name was Dark Shadow. She just kept on looking over the crowd. They looked a lot alike. It was weird. She's heard of triplets, but this was weird. Some looked different, like Moonbeam, Terry, and Dark Shadow. There was also a earth pony. He was green, with purple hair. It was wavy, and really shiny. His eyes were also purple. Like Twilight's eyes. His cutiemark looked like a helmet. Which probably means protection, or safety.
Probably a good reason he became a royal guard. Luna noticed a figure coming through a doorway. It was Celestia, she looked really tired, probably cause she was doing documents. Celestia walked gracefully to the thrones. And stood next to Luna. Celestia kept trying to quiet the guards, but here voice was to soft. Luna got angry, cause they were ignoring her sister.
"SILENCE!" Luna yelled in her Nightmare Night voice. Her voice booming through the room and their ears. They quickly turned their attention to Luna.
Luna blushed, in embarrassment. Celestia looked at Luna, and smiled.
"We need to work on your temper." Celestia said with a giggle.
"Sorry, you know I have a short fuse." Luna said still blushing in embarrassment. Celestia cleared her throat and spoke.
"Now I know you are wondering what are we doing here. Well as you do know, my sister has been released from her cold prison. And she would like know the names of our each and every one of you. So if you all can into a nice straight line for me." Celestia said waving her hoof. The guards all did what they were told.
"Okay thank you. Now here's how were going to do this, I want you walk up and say your name. And say what kind of guard you are. Like night guard, morning guard, royal guard, and so on." Celestia said. The guards just looked at Luna with a very frightened look. Celestia rolled her violet eyes and went to the front of the line.
"Here I'll show you." Celestia said while she walked very gracefully to Luna.
She opened her wings and said, "Hello there fair princess of the night, I am Celestia. I am the Princess of the sun. I am very glad of your return." Celestia said and bowed to her own sister. The guards were shocked, and so was Luna. She was gawking at her sister, her sister, bowing to HER!
Luna stopped gawking and said, "Tis very grateful to meet you Celestia." And with that Luna bowed to Celestia, and I mean a full on bow. Celestia stood up all the way, puffing out her chest, and with pride, she walked to the back of the line.
"Do you understand now?" Celestia said looking at the guards. All the guards nodded.
"Now you don't need to say exactly what I said, okay?" Celestia said looking at the guards, one eyebrow raised. All, the guards saluted to show that they understood.
"Good." Celestia said. And she walked back to the thrones, and sat onto hers. The fist guard walked up to Luna and spoke in a deep voice.
"I am Shadow Crawler. I am a night a guard, and is very happy of your return." He bowed to Luna.
"Tis very grateful to make your acquaintance." Luna said as she bowed low to the ground. The guard walked to the back of the line. Then the next guard walked up.
It was about three hours later until the last guard went. It was Moonbeam. Luna blushed at the site of him. Moonbeam walked up to Luna with the most confidence than any of the other guards. Celestia rolled her eyes, and huffed.
Moonbeam looked at Luna dead in the eyes and said, "Hello there beautiful Princess Luna. I am Moonbeam. I am also a morning guard. I am very glad that you have returned from the moon." Said Moonbeam smiling. He grabbed Luna's hoof and kissed it. All the guards looked at him with envy. Especially Terry and Dark Shadow. Moonbeam winked at Luna.
"Tis very flattered to meet you fair Moonbeam." Luna said melting into his eyes.
Moonbeam walked back to end of the line. Celestia stood up and eyed Moonbeam.
She gave a look that read, "If you do that again, I'm gonna stick my horn somewhere where my sun don't shine." Celestia spoke,
"Well was that everypony?" All the guards nodded.
"Now Luna do think you can remember all their names?" Celestia said looking at Luna.
"Yes, I think it might take some time." Luna said biting her bottom lip.
"That's okay, while we were doing this. I wrote down their names. Here is a scroll of all their names. And I even put a picture next to each. You can study them. And after the party, I'll teach you about this century." Celestia said nudging Luna.
"Sounds awesome!" Luna said as she hugged Celestia.
"Awwwwwww!" All the guards said. The two sisters rolled their eyes.
As the guards left, Luna made her way through, then she got impatient, and opened her huge wings and with one flap she was halfway to the roof. And she gracefully flew all the way to her room.

Chapter 8: Luna's lullaby
Luna landed in front of her door. The scroll wrapped around in her magic aura. She opened her door and walked into her bedchambers. She set the scroll on her vanity and dived into her closet. She rummaged around and yelled.
"WHY DON'T I OWN ANY DRESSES!!!!" Luna huffed and puffed in frustration. Luna sat in defeat. She sat in a circle of scarves, hats, the garden dress she had on earlier, coats, socks, and some panties she's collected over the years, and a couple Nightmare Night costumes.
Those costumes brought back memories, she only kept the ones that had the best memories. She looked a one of the costumes, it was a devil costume. She remembered Celestia telling her it would be adorable on her.
"Oh come on Lulu!" Celestia whined. A little Luna was sitting in front of the mirror, she looked unpleased.
"I don't like it Tia." Luna said crossing her arms.
"Why do you get to be the angel." Luna whined looking at Celestia with her big puppy eyes.
"Well maybe instead of a red devil, you can wear a black one?" Celestia said looking at Luna to see if that could satisfy.
"Oooh yeah! That would look better on me wouldn't?" Luna asked standing, prancing to the ginormous closet. She pulled out a black leather dress. It had a pleated skirt, and it had a pointed tail on it.
"This is perfect." Luna said as she put it down and rummaged around a little more to find accessories. She came back out with a black headband that had horns on it, a necklace that had blue crystals on it along with black, and black shoes.
"Well there you go." Celestia said as she levitated the outfit over to the vanity.
Luna trotted over to the vanity and sat in the chair in front of it. Celestia put on the outfit and applied some dark makeup. She did a smokey eye, with black eyeliner, and black lipstick. She pulled Luna's hair into a tight bun, with two ringlet curls falling down in the front. Celestia looked at her work and smiled.
"Perfect." She muttered under her breath. Luna opened her eyes and looked in the mirror. She looked amazing!
"Wow Tia! I mean, I knew you were good with makeup, but this is spectacular!" Luna said as she looked at her blushing big sister.
"Awwwww thanks Lulu." Celestia said as she levitated Luna and nuzzled her. Luna nuzzled back of course.
She loved Celestia. She loved cuddling with her. When ever it got cold, for some reason Celestia would always be warm. Just like her sun. Luna was warm too, but Celestia was crazy warm, like a heater!
As they parted Celestia went to the mirror and started doing her makeup. She did a gold color, with golden lipstick. She levitated the halo and put it on. Luna just watched in curiosity. She loved watching her big sister do her makeup. It was so interesting. How she did it. It reminded Luna of how mother used to do it.
Celestia turned around and faced Luna. "Well what do think? Does the gold not match?" Celestia looking at the daydreaming Luna.
"Huh? Oh no the gold matches perfectly!" Luna said as she clapped her hooves.
"Thanks." Celestia said as she smiled her
Celestia levitated a cute black pillowcase. It was one of Luna's. Since her cutiemark was sewn onto it.
"Here is your bag. You can customize it, while I do my hair." Celestia said handing Luna the bag.
"Oooohhhh, this is gonna be FUN!" Luna said as she got straight to work. Every year her and Tia would decorate their bags. Of course Tia's would look better cause she was more experienced. But Luna has started to get the hang of it.
She levitated blue ribbon, gems, and some glue. She glue on the ribbon as straps. And glued on each white sparkly gem to be the stars. And she went into her secret box. It was full of secret items that Luna has collected. One of them was a gem that was exactly shaped into a moon. It was the most beautiful thing Luna's ever seen. She didn't want to waste it on her bag, so she took a silver necklace and poked a hole through the top of the gem and slid on the necklace. It looked absolutely gorgeous!
It sparkled just enough, but not too flashy. Luna slipped it onto her neck, very carefully, not wanting to hurt the precious gem. When it was fully on she looked in the tiny mirror the box came with and stared in awe. It looked beautiful on Luna. And matched her cutiemark perfectly. She took it off and put it at the very bottom of the box, under a small velvet pillow.
"Just to be safe." Luna thought as she closed the boxed and locked it.
Putting the key in a secret location under the floorboard. She looked at Celestia who was focused on her bangs. She was brushing her beautiful bubblegum pink hair and brushed them to the side and Luna went back to her bag and found some glitter glue. She lit up at the sight of it. She took it with her hooves and squeezed out some. She drew a moon with it and colored it in using the glitter glue. She would use her magic but she is still very sloppy at doing magic, so that's a no-no. Celestia turned to Luna and smiled.
"I see your decorating." She said as she sat next to Luna. Admiring her work, she took a white pillow case and, levitated some glitter glue. This one was a golden color. She made a sun out of it. And took some glitter and glue and made a couple clouds with it. She looked at her work and noticed Luna's work.
"I see your getting better at decorating." She said as she gestured at Luna's pillowcase.
Luna shifted back to reality when she noticed her door opening. Moonbeam walked through the doorway and looked at Luna.
"Hey Lulu." He said as he stood in the doorway. Luna looked at her mess, and blushed.
"I was looking for a dress for the party." She said as she hid some of her face with her hair. "It's alright I get it." Moonbeam said as he shut the door and walked over to Luna and sat next to her. He nuzzled her and put his head on hers.
"I had to ask Celestia if she knew anyone who made dresses." Moonbeam said with a chuckle.
Luna perked up her ears and said, "Well I know a mare named Rarity. Who is great at making outfits. For any occasion. She lives at Ponyville, I could send her a scroll. Oohhhh maybe she can make a dress for me! I have zero dresses beside costumes from when I was a filly, which I can't fit anymore, or that garden outfit I wore earlier today." Luna said perking up.
"Good idea. We should message her now. So she can have a head start. A week is a short amount of time. Especially for a mare who probably has other orders to fill." Moonbeam said standing and grabbing a blank scroll off of Luna's dresser.
"Your right, um where's my quills?" Luna said as she opened one of her dressers.
She dug around and around but no quill. She then looked at her wings and noticed she had her own feathers! She plucked out one of her own feathers.
"Ow!" Luna said as she plucked out one of her long silky dark blue feathers.
"You okay? Are you hurt?" Moonbeam said looking with big concerned eyes at his lover.
"I'm fine, just remind me not to do that again." Luna said as she smiled and giggled. Moonbeam chuckled too.
"Anyway, I don't think they put any ink in here while I was gone. So we'll probably have to ask Tia." Luna said looking at Moonbeam.
"Well the last I saw her she was in the Alicorn Archives." Moonbeam said pointing in that direction.
"Perfect!" Luna said as she kissed Moonbeam on the cheek.
He melted. She levitated her clothes off the floor and hung them back up, when she she was hanging up her costumes, she felt two warm hooves wrap around her. She looked behind her and smiled, it was Moonbeam he was sleeping on her.
"Aww, you probably didn't get to much sleep last night." Luna said as she levitated him and pulled back her covers, and gently set him on her plush bed.
He woke up.
"Am I on a cloud?" Moonbeam asked stretching out.
"No your on my bed. Now go back to sleep, your probably exhausted." Luna said as she pulled up the covers onto him. He slowly closed his eyes, wanting Luna to be the last thing he saw when he fell asleep. Luna remembered a lullaby she made up, when Tia had to go somewhere for the day. Luna cleared her throat and began.
"My moon glows in all it's light, Sleep now in my starlight. As the time goes, Your eyes shall close. And dreams shall take you where no one knows...... If your dreams doesn't turn out as it seems, I will be here to so don't worry Moonbeam, My stars and moon shall sing to you, And don't worry we will be together soon. Lalalu, lalalu, May this song reach to you, And I hope it lights up your dreaming mind. Lalalu, lalalu, My words sing to you, And bring a message so kind. Lalalu, lalalu, You know I love you......... And I hope you love me too! "
Luna finished her little lullaby. She had to change it a little to fit Moonbeam. She then kissed him and went to her desk. She pulled out the scroll, quill, and ink. And began to write.
Luna looked down at the blank scroll before her.
"What should I write? Dear Rarity can you make a dress for me and a suit for my colt friend Moonbeam?" Luna whispered not wanting to wake her love. Luna began to write.
Dear Rarity, I wanted to know if thee would make a outfit for thee. Thy party is next week, so I hope that is enough time for thee. I would understand if you had other orders to fill. But if you don't, then I would like it if you make me a dress, And a suit for my coltfriend, Moonbeam. Reply once you get this.

Luna rolled up the scroll and wrapped a blue ribbon around it. She used her magic to teleported it using her magic. She could already feel herself gaining her magic back, after she was blasted by the elements. She sat back and waited for Rarity to reply.
Rarity was sitting at her crafting desk, waiting for inspiration to hit her. She sat in boredom, nothing to make. And her friends weren't doing anything today so she could hangout with them. She was about to get up and quit when there was a flash of light.
"Whaaahaaahaaa!" Rarity screamed in fear.
She jumped behind a chest and peaked over it. She saw a scroll on her desk. She slowly got up and approached the scroll.
"It's probably from Twilight!" Rarity said as she pulled on the ribbon and opened the scroll. Rarity looked over the words, and almost had a heart attack.
"Gaaaaaahhhhh!" Rarity said as she fainted. She quickly stood back up with thee biggest smile.
"PRINCESS LUNA WANTS ME TO MAKE HER A DRESS! AND A SUIT FOR HER COLTFRIEND! AHHHHHHHHHH!" Rarity yelled. She quickly grabbed a scroll and quill.
She dipped the quill in the ink and began her letter.
Dear Princess Luna, I would love to make you a dress! I can come to Canterlot and get you and your coltfriend's measurements. I will make you the best dress I can make. And the best suit I can make.

Rarity rolled up the scroll, and tied it with a deep purple ribbon. And used her magic to send it. She giggled and ran into her closet already packing.
Luna sat impatient waiting for a scroll, and sure enough a scroll floated down and landed on her desk. Luna smiled and clapped her hooves. She opened the scroll and read over it.
"Perfect!" Luna shout-whispered. She pulled out another scroll and began to write back.
Dear Rarity, Thank you, and I will meet you at the train station. You can stay in the guest bedroom next to mine.

She sent it and got up. She walked to the bathroom and turned on the water. She poured in bath beads and took off her shoes, breastplate, and her crown. She closed the door and hopped in. She shampooed her hair and rinsed. She was humming a little melody. She dunked her head under the water and came back up coughing a little. Little did she know that someone got up.
Moonbeam woke the minute the water was running. He sat up and rubbed his dazed eyes. He got up and stretched out his wings. He wondered where Luna has dissapeared to.
"Luna!?" Moonbeam called out. Luna perked her ears and opened the bathroom door. "I'm in here!" She called out. Moonbeam turned around and walked near the doorway. Boy he wished he didn't.
When he walked in-"Pomf!" He looked at his wings in terror. Luna tried so hard not to laugh, but she couldn't help it. She busted out laughing when she saw him trying to push them down. She stood up and dried off and walked over to him. She was still giggling at the beat red Moonbeam. He bit his lip and wondered what she was gonna do.
She gently brushed over his wing, making him have a tingling sensation through his body and made him shiver. She giggled again. She took his wing gently in both of her hooves and extended it all the way. He shivered again. She then pushed it down onto his side. She did it again to the wing.
"Heh, thanks." Said Moonbeam rubbing the back of his head.
"Your welcome." Luna said giggling.
"Are you well rested?" Luna asked who finally stopped giggling.
"Yup." He said.
"Good well I'm gonna continue my bath and then I'm gonna preen. My wings are in desperate need of preening. I want to look presentable when Rarity gets here. Do you want a bath too." Luna said looking at Moonbeam.
"Oh yeah a bath would be great! And I'm glad she said yes." Moonbeam said. Luna nodded and returned to her bath. Moonbeam walked back into her room and laid down.
When he heard the door open he perked up his ears. Luna walked out her hair was still a little damp, she lifted him using her magic and brought him to the bathroom. She sat him down and used her magic to take off his armor. He blushed really badly. Luna was just humming that lullaby she sang to him earlier. She turned on the water and added bath beads, and bubble bath soap.
She set his armor in a neat little pile. She turned off the water, and levitated Moonbeam into the bathtub. She grabbed the shampoo and squirted some into his mane. She scrubbed and rinsed. She did the same with the conditioner and with his tail. She went under the sink and looked for her wing soap.
"Spread out your wings." She said. Moonbeam obeyed and he spread his wings.
Luna poured some of the soap onto his wings, she then delicately rubbed in the soap. Moonbeam could feel his muscles relaxing. He sighed. Luna smiled, it was nice to know that she was doing something nice for somepony. She did the same with the other wing. And then dumped water onto them. It made Moonbeam shiver. It was cold water.
"Cold water is very gentle on your wings and makes them shine." Luna said.
Moonbeam nodded. She drained out the water and dried off Moonbeam. They walked out of the bathroom. Luna levitated a bunch of pillows from her closet and made a pallet. She laid down and Moonbeam followed. She extended his wings and started. Moonbeam laid down his head. He didn't like preening, but it felt pleasurable when somepony else did it.
Luna did it very delicately. She set each feather that fell out in a neat pile. When she finished his wings she moved on to her own wings. It was easy for her cause she practiced dozen of times. It didn't take her long. She then levitated a brush and started brushing Moonbeam.
She brushed his mane back to its windswept mane-style. She then went his tail. And brushed out all the tangles. Making little flips at the ends.
When she was done she smiled and said, "Done!" Moonbeam looked up and smiled.
"Now it's your turn." He said as he gave a sly grin. He took the brush and put her head in his lap.
"Hey!" Luna said scolding Moonbeam.
"Relax. I got this." He said. He started brushing her mane. And did little flips at the ends. He brushed her hair very delicately not wanting to mess up her beautiful locks.
When he was done Luna stood up and said, "We should get to the train station, and greet Rarity. Now she can be a little much but she has a heart of gold." Luna said opening the door.
They both trotted out making every guard gawk at them.
"What do you think they did in there?" One of the guards mumbled to the one next to him.
"I don't know, but let's hope they didn't do anything to naughty." The other guard mumbled blushing slightly.
When Luna and Moonbeam was about to exit the doors of the castle, Celestia appeared behind them.
"Where are you two going?" Celestia said looking down on Moonneam. Moonbeam was showing so much fear, besides Luna who giving Celestia the same look that Celestia was giving to Moonbeam.
"Well we are going to the train station to greet Rarity, she was coming here to get our measurements. And I told her she could stay in the bedroom next to mine." Luna said without changing her expression. Luna knew that Celestia has started to fear her since she betrayed her. She could sense it.
"Well if your going then I should tell you sister, this century is much different from the one your used too." Celestia said softening her expression a little.
"It's okay princess. She's in good hooves. I'll make sure she won't get into trouble." Moonbeam said bowing to Celestia.
"Well, okay but be back soon." Celestia said walking away.
Moonbeam and Luna walked out of the castle. And when they did Luna lit up at the sight of her subjects. Moonbeam smiled, he was glad to see that she was having a good time. Luna looked like a little filly walking into a candy store. When they reached the train station there was a white unicorn looking over her big pile of suitcases.
Luna looked at her and approached her with a bow. Rarity squealed. And she returned a bow back to Luna.
"Oh my gosh! Princess I have been working on the assignment ever since you've gave it to me." Rarity said while pulling out a sketch book and opening the pages. Inside the book was a beautiful sketch of Princess Luna. She was wearing a dress with stars, constellations, and a moon on it. It had a long train, and lace trimming. It was absolutely beautiful. She turned the page it was a Luna just her head.
Her mane was put up into a fancy mane-style. Luna just looked at her wide eyed.
"Wow Rarity! Did you just make these?!" Luna asked looking wide eyed at Rarity.
"Why yes I have, I knew moons and stars would look great on you. Oh and one more thing." Rarity said while giving her a mischievous smile. Luna started to blush knowing what Rarity was about to say.
"Who's your coltfriend?" Rarity said looky deeply into Luna's big blue eyes. Luna started getting a darker shade of red.
Luna pointed her hoof at Moonbeam who was getting apple cider from a apple stand.
"Oh my he is rather handsome. I didn't forget him either." Rarity said as she turned the page in her sketch book. It was a sketch of a stallion, except it had no face. Made sense since Rarity didn't know who Moonbeam was or what he looked like.
It was a suit, with a bow tie, cuffs, an under shirt, and a collar. Luna looked over it again and again. She almost pomfed just thinking of Moonbeam in this suit. But she held her dignity and self control. Luna looked at Rarity.
"Wow tis knew thou was good, but this is amazing!" Luna said with her Canterlot voice but not as loud.
"Um Luna, Nopony talks like that anymore." Rarity said wincing a little hoping Luna wouldn't yell at her.
Luna blushed and hid in her hair. Moonbeam came back with three glasses of Apple cider.
"Here we go. Some apple cider for Miss Rarity, some cider for me, and some for my lady." Moonbeam said handing them both cups of Apple cider. They all drank some.
"Here Miss Rarity let me help you with your bags." Luna said lighting her horn. She carried about half of the suitcases. Moonbeam carried about three on his back. And Rarity levitated the rest.
"Wow Princess Luna! Your gaining back your magic." Rarity said nudging Luna's side.
"Oh yeah! My powers will return in a couple days. At least that's what Tia said. And you know Miss Rarity, you don't have to call me Princess Luna, just call me Luna or lulu. Either is fine." Luna said looking straight ahead.
"My apologies princes-I mean Luna." Rarity said quickly correcting her self. Luna giggled.
"It's okay." Luna,said as she giggled with Rarity.
They made their way to the castle talking and laughing.

Chapter 3: Luna raises the Moon
"You caught me" Moonbeam said with a sigh.
"I knew it! Soo, who is it!?" Terry said with big eyes. Moonbeam sighed.
"Princess Luna." Moonbeam almost whispered. Terry stood there wide eyed.
"PRINCESS LUNA! Oh my gosh! I heard she's beautiful! I heard she has hair like strands of flowing blue water, a coat of blue like the night sky, and eyes like big pools full of aqua marine water! I seen her when she was giving her speech. I was supposed to deliver but I heard a beautiful deep regal voice. I knew it wasn't Celestia's, because Celestia has a silky voice. And I looked up and saw a shiny mane like water, and aqua marine pools. And I think I melted when she finished. All the bat ponies are falling head for heels for her. Me too. I ran into her as she was on her way to her bed chambers. And I said I was on my way to the locker room. We shared names. When she said hers I started dorking out. She still seems to be a teenager. I don't know." Terry said completing his little story.
"Wait you like her too?" Moonbeam asked with a worried expression.
"Well, yeah. She absolutely glorious." Terry said.
A bat pony that went by the name of Dark Shadow was over hearing their conversation and butted in.
"I also ran into Princess Luna. She is sweet and so very kind. She asked for my name. I told her and when she told me hers. I freaked out. I bowed and kissed her hooves. She's like my idle!" He said with a lovey expression.
"Oh do you like her too? " Moonbeam asked biting his lip.
"Of course! She is drop dead SEXY. And that plot! But the thing I love most about her is those gorgeous aqua marine eyes! Their like pools of water!" Dark Shadow said.
"S-sexy!?" Moonbeam stuttered out.
"Well yeah! Drop dead. I know who I'm dreaming about tonight." Shadow said while licking his lips and fangs.
"Hey don't forget that she is a dream walker, don't dream too nasty ." Terry said with a smirk. Moonbeam studied the bat pony. He was a sight to see too. He had blue slit eyes that could penetrate your soul. And he was a blackish-blue color. His hair was also aqua marine, just like Luna's eyes. His hair practically shined in the moonlight or any light for that fact. But it was always in his helmet when on duty. But his tail shined too. Making you stare at it when he walked by.
"HEY! WHO HERE THINKS THAT PRINCESS LUNA IS SEXY?! " Terry shouted across the locker room. Every stallion raised his hoof. Including Moonbeam. This made Moonbeam feel worried.
"What if Luna fell in love with the other stallions!" Moonbeam started to worry. He bit his bottom lip.
"See told ya." Terry said as he finished polishing his helmet and put it on.A bell rang.
"Well that's time to go." Terry said as he closed his locker door and locked it.
"Good luck with Luna." Dark Shadow said while patting him on the back.
Celsetia walked into Luna's bed chambers.
"Hello Lulu. I'm back. I told head chef to make his best meal ever!" Celestia said while walking to Luna's pile of pillows that they both had. Luna's room was very large. It had a fireplace with the pile of pillows in front of it. There was a balcony where she could raise the moon with. Her bed was a large Princess bed with a shear material canopy. She had a black comforter and deep blue sheets. With her cutie mark on them. She also had a bathroom with a ceramic bathtub, sink, and toilet. Her room had more blues and purples than Celestia's. Hers was more like her personality. It was bold but regal, and had night colors, with neon blue accents. Her room was very comfy and was gorgeously furnished. She had a love seat. It was that neon blue color, with silvers and purples, followed by black accents. And it had a matching throw pillow. Except it had her cutiemark sewn on it.
Celestia sat next to Luna on the pillows. She looked at Luna. Luna was just looking dead at the fire burning in front of her. Celestia could see the flames in her bright blue eyes. Celestia has always envied that of Luna. About every stallion and mare has complimented her sisters eyes. They were so blue. So full of wonder. Like big pools of crystal water. And it seemed as if she was mad her eyes would look like ice. Staring into your soul. Piercing it.
"I missed this." Luna said. "Hmmm." Celestia said, still lost in her thoughts. "I mean I missed this. These little moments. Like sitting by the fireplace talking about our day, our feelings, and stuff." Luna said still staring at the fire cherishing the moment.
"Yeah. I know what you mean." Celestia said to Luna. Silence fell upon the two sisters until Celestia remembered Moonbeam.
"Hey, Lulu." Celestia said while staring at the fire.
"Yes Tia?" Luna said finally taking her eyes off the fire for the first time since Celestia had gotten there.
"Umm do you remember Moonbeam?" Celestia asked Luna already knowing the answer.
"Yes, of course! He was one of the first guards that I have met. And the kindest too." Luna giggled. That's what Celestia had missed. That laughter. Not like Pinke Pie's. But just her sisters laughter. Celestia gave Luna a warm smile. Warmer than the fire. Even warmer than her suns hot rays.
"Well I have found out a little secret." Celestia said and smiled.
"What. What have you learned?"Luna said which a desperate look on her face, wanting to know the little secret that her elder sister knew of.
"Well it occurred to me that Moonbeam has a little crush on you!" Celestia finally said. Luna just stared at her sister.
"REALLY! MOONBEAM LIKES ME! A STALLION ACTUALLY LIKES ME! OH TIA! THIS IS SPLENDID NEWS!" Luna yelled with excitement. She was jumping up and down and was actually showing her age.
"What you like him back?!" Celestia asked.
"Well yeah! He's so dreamy! I heard he really loves the night and he stays up till he collapsed of exhaustion. He truly loves the night." Luna said while holding her heart with her hooves.
"Wow! Do you want me to tell him?" Celestia asked.
"Well if you really want t-to." Luna said with a blush. "Well I shall try and find him." Celestia said while standing up.
"Wait not right now. I want to at least eat dinner with my favorite sister in the whole world wide of Equestria!" Luna said a bat of her eyelashes.
"I'm your only sister." Celestia said with a raised eyebrow.
"I know. That's why your my favorite!" Luna said with a smile.
A servant walked in that went by the name of Clarice, walked in the room with two trays of food.
"For Celestia, we have a gormet salad, with cucumbers, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and some grass. Also there is some asparagus and celery soup too. And for my beautiful night Princess, we have made you something delicious. We have made you some little daisy sandwiches, with a side of hay fries, and some celery and carrot soup too. We made this for you cause your sister told us it was your favorite. And you two would like some sparkling water. And for dessert Celestia the chef has made some carrot cake. And for you my beloved Luna, he has made apple pie alamode." Said Clarice while she levitated the plates over to them.
"Oh you guys probably don't want to eat it on the ground. Here is some low tables." Clarice said while pulling out the low tables and setting them in front of Luna and Celestia.
"Thank you Clarice." Celestia said with a bow of her head.
"Oh your name is Clarice?" Luna asked not taking her eye off her food.
"Why yes. Yes it is." Clarice said while nodding her head.
"Oh, well I hope to see you again Clarice. That's a very lovely name too." Luna said while giving her a warm smile.
"Why thank you. Finally someone compliments me. Your name is quit lovely too...Luna." She said.
Clarice was levitating two glasses of sparkling water onto their tables.
"Awww. Thank you. It means Moon." Luna said while picking up her sandwich with her magic.
"I'll be back for your dishes okay." Clarice said.
"Okay thank you for your service Clarice." Luna said while waving her hoof goodbye. Clarice waved back in shock. Celestia was never so nice. I mean she was nice but not that nice.
"Maybe me and Luna could be friends." Clarice thought to herself. She shut the door and trotted down the long corridor, humming a tune.The guards were puzzled, Clarice was never so happy before. The two sisters munched on their food.
"Mmmmm. This is the best thing I've had for years! " Luna said which a mouth full of daisy sandwich. Celestia smiled warmly to her sweet sister. A half hour later Clarice came back to get their dishes. KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Hello girls it's me again. I'm just here to gather your dishes." Clarice said while walking through the doorway.
She noticed that Celestia wasn't there anymore.
"Oh I see that Celestia left." Clarice said. "Oh yeah. She was tired so she went to her bedchambers to get some shut eye." Luna said staring at the smaller fire before her. Clarice smiled and was gathering the dishes using her magic. When she finished gathering, at least ten bits floated into her pocket of her apron. She looked at Luna who was smiling.
"Oh Princess you didn't have too." Clarice said with a shocked look.
"No,no. You did a amazing job. So you get a tip." Luna said. "Wow nopony's gave me a tip before." Clarice said.
"Well it's about time they do." Luna said hitting the ground with her hoof.
"Wow. Your something Princess Luna." Clarice said tearing up.
"Please, just call me Luna. Or Lulu, either is fine." Luna said giving Clarice a warm hug. Clarice about cried. They separated. Clarice said her goodbyes and skipped down the corridor giggling her little tail off. Luna stepped through the doorway.
"HEY DONT FORGET ABOUT OUR BRUNCH CLARICE!" Luna shouted.
"WOULDNT MISS IT FOR THE WORLD PRINCESS. I MEAN LULU!" Clarice yelled back. All the guards looked at Luna.
"What?" Luna said noticing that they were looking at her.
"Oh I need to raise the moon!" Luna yelled while running down the corridor. All the guards melted. Watching as her little tail sprung back and forth as she ran.
