Everypony against us

The Sun was rising on the horizon as Discord flew over a field into a forest wearing pink sunglasses and cold cocoa in his hand. Celestia was hosting the annual princess meeting and Discord wasn't allowed to be near them, so he decided to take a long walk in the forgotten parts of Equestria. Discord liked those walks, he could explore forgotten places that held many secrets of ancient ponies.

The forest was quiet, a faint breeze blew through the dying trees as Discord maneuvered between them, trying not to cause much trouble. First I'll explore this place, then I shall turn it upside down, he thought.

After an hour of wandering around, Discord was about to give up on his hope of finding something interesting and started coloring the trees in all the colours of the rainbow as he saw something hidden behind a hill. He hurried to see what that was and as he flew up the hill, he saw a small old castle overgrown by vines.

"Ah ha, there's bound to be something interesting in it," he thought out loud.

Wasting no time, Discord hurried to the entrance which was completely covered by vines. He easily got rid of them with his magic and opened the doors. The inside was quite small with no other rooms. There must be a secret somewhere in here, Discord thought. He used sensory magic to find anything that's out of the ordinary. Sure enough, there was something under the floor, a huge pit with traps and in the middle of it... Was a book. But what's in the book, he wondered. Surely there must be something useful in it if there are so many traps surrounding it.

Discord turned his hand into a blade and cut through the floor, letting it all fall on the traps below except for one part that was right above the book. Discord hovered down to where the book was. Strangely enough, there were no more traps around the book, so Discord took it and looked at the cover.

"Darkest magic of Equestria," he read out loud.

Discord was interested. I could get my revenge on Celestia for not letting me do any of the royal stuff. I am the ruler of Chaos, I deserve some acknowledging too, he flipped the book to the contents page and looked at the spells in the book.

"Hidden power of Equestria," that was the last spell which was written in darker letters. It seemed like the most powerful spell, too. Discord opened page 127 and read the spell out loud.

Dark powers unleashed

One pony to give

A power that's mine

"Hm, doesn't sound good," he complained, "obviously was written by the ponies of old times"

Then a bright light appeared out of nowhere and a green jewel has right in the middle of it. It floated down to Discord's hands as it filled him with knowledge of what he has to do.

"So... I give this to a pony that will be the vessel for the power, a pony that won't get hurt and whose powers will enhance the ones of this spell. Why, I already know who that pony will be," Discord laughed.

Suddenly, when the light went out, a voice could be heard everywhere around Discord, warning him about the spell.

All minds corrupted

Your path disrupted

World in its end state

A hidden dark fate

But Discord didn't pay any notice to that, thinking to himself that his powers will not bring him any harm. What could go wrong, he thought.

Discord put the book back, making a mental note for where it is in case he ever needs it, then he turned around and started making his way to Ponyville and his dear friend's Fluttershy's house.
