Ancestral Cycle #1: Freedom
Sulvania, a Kingdom enshrouded in Darkness, caught in the middle of the longest War the world may never know. One lone night, a town is wiped clean off the map, and a Queen carrying a colt escapes the fiery death. But she does not make it.
One child is saved from thousands of deaths.
For as long as he can remember, Song Tune has stayed in Celestia's castle, under her orders. Ignoring that fact, Song has been taught many things in the Equestrian way; and discovered a secret power of his own. Celestia has grown "attached" to this little colt, and has become(strangely) protective of him. When she decides to give Song a chance to live a normal life, tragedy strikes, and she fears he might lose himself. When Song became old enough, he received a strange journal that had no words in it whatsoever. Celestia then decided to use him as an assassin against any threats that might seek to kill her. So, she positions him in Ponyville, and hoped that he might make some friends along the way.
But then the Summer Sunrise Festival arrived, and Song's life hanged by a thread.
Thankfully, Song miraculously recovered-only to find out the journal had words in it. He soon learned about a kingdom above the Changeling Nation, and left Equestria in secret to find out why this book was given to him. Song arrived in the Kingdom, only to find that the Kingdom has been engaged in a thousand-year war. He met The Keeper, the "acting" leader of the Kingdom, who then discovered why there was one body count missing from the town that was wiped out; and why Song had the Book of the Stone. Song was the last member of the Requiem bloodline; a King.
Song helped the Kingdom in hopes of ending the War, and only then did Song realize his role in the World's future.
And every story has it's dark side…
Little did he know, a certain Princess plays a role in his Destiny.
