Princesses Celestia and Luna
It was a very happy day in Equestria. As a matter of fact, it seemed like any other day, cheerful and full of love. But somehow it seemed as if their was a dark cloud looming over Canterlot's castle. And as Twilight Sparkle approached the castle, she could feel the looming cloud affecting her mood as well. Twilight walked into the castle and up to Princess Celestia. "Princess Celestia why is everything so...well, depressing today?" Princess Celestia looked at Twilight with sadness in her eyes. "I am truly sorry Twilight. I do not think I could bare to talk a about it." Twilight looked down at her hooves. "Yes, I understand." And she trotted off to find Princess Luna. Surely she could tell her what was going on. "Twilight if you really wish to know that badly I shall tell you why everypony is so sad today." Luna told her. "It is because this is a very terrible day in our past. The day our other sister passed away." Twilight gasped. "You had another sister?" She asked. "Yes indeed Twilight. Yes indeed." Luna responded as a tear slide down her muzzle. "She was our older sister. Her name was Midnight Pyro."

Chapter 2: When They Were Fillies
"COME ON CELESTE!!!" Midnight Pyro, a gentle but impatient filly yelled. " I'm coming Midnight! Calm yourself! You know mother hates it when we yell." Celestia, a responsible kind filly, responded. The sisters rounded the corner and bumped right into their other sister, Luna. "Where are you going? You know mother dislikes it when she doesn't know where we are." The two elder sisters sighed. "We know Luna." Midnight responded with a sad face. "But she's asleep right now!" All of their muzzles perked up with the mention of this. " Midnight and I decided we should take advantage of this opportunity to play with the other fillies. Do you think we should Luna?" Celestia asked thoughtfully. "Of course we should Celeste. Mother won't wake for hours! It's perfect!" Luna whisper-yelled. " What is 'Perfect?" a voice in the background asked. The three sisters froze, petrified with fear. Their mother, the queen of Equestria, Dark Shadow, was standing at the top of the stairs. Luna let out a small squeak as Celestia and herself started to back up. But Midnight Pyro didn't budge. Instead, she tried the good mare act. "Mother, we were trying to think of the best gift to give you for your birthday of course. We thought of the perfect one, and you know how Luna can't contain her excitement." Midnight gave a small encouraging smile. The Queen narrowed her eyes, walked around Midnight, then sighed. "Alright. I'll buy your story." She responded. Then proceeded to turn around on the spot and pick up her punishing paddle with her Alicorn magic. "Only ten lashings instead of twenty." She said with a smirk. The three sisters started running, eventually ending up in a room that they didn't recognise. There was a large, glorified mirror in the middle of the room. Backed up against the mirror with no where to go, Midnight took the only chance she could. She turned around, used her Alicorn magic, and made the mirror into a portal to a new and better place. And pushed her sisters into it. She took one last look at her mother, who was staring at her in shock. Then turned around, and jumped into the mirror.
