“But then, once the dragon-”
“Hybrid!” Spike moaned, being offended by the obvious statement.
“Yeah yeah, but then, once the hybrid has been slayed, the town’s cloud of darkness cleared from the sky, and everypony lived happily, ever, after.” Finished Rainbow Dash, shuffling her papers back together.
“Wow Rainbow, that was actually pretty good!” commented Twilight, taking her wizard piece off of the board, also shuffling her character sheet and her race sheet all in the same stack, then scooping up her translucent dice, dropping them into her mini drawstring bag, the others following suit.
“Ah agree!” said Apple Jack, taking her Dwarf pony game piece off the plastic board.
“Well, that was fun, but who wants to be the dungeon master next?” Rarity asked everypony in the room.
Rarity, Spike, Apple Jack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie all looked at one another, pondering about the idea of which pony was up next. Last time when Twilight was the dungeon master, it was a very hard campaign with a lot of mythical creatures and too many dragons. But, then again, when Fluttershy was the DM, her campaign was too easy, making all the enemies have low health so you didn’t die and constantly changing the story.
But, after a long moment of silence, Rainbow Dash looked over just in time to see a certain pink ponies hoof shoot up in the air.
“Ooo, ooo! me me me me, pick me! Me me!” spewed Pinkie, bouncing around like a unstable rocket.
“Um… Pinkie Pie? You wanna be the Dungeon Master?” RD said, trying not to laugh. Who knows what this party pony would have in mind.
“Yes!” she cried, shooting so high into the air that she crashed into Twilight’s roof (which just so happened to be the top of the tree…).
Th… That would be fun…” Fluttershy said awkwardly, watching the pink pony struggle to get her head stuck out of the roof.
“Do you have any idea of what the story-line is going to be, Pinkie?” asked Twilight politely, watching her pop her head out of the ceiling and falling back to the ground, somehow landing on her hooves unharmed.
“Yes! I mean, No! But I’ll think of something!” the pony got out, hopping around the library living room in glee.
“Well, let us know when you have your story ready!” Twilight yelled after Pinkie Pie, who, undoubtedly, already sped out of the library, making her way to Sugar Cube Corner to make a new, fresh story that no one has ever thought of ever before!
*1 week later*
It was a quiet Tuesday morning in the library with Spike off doing errands for Twilight Sparkle.
“Huhhh,” sighed Twilight, relieved that, finally, she had some time to herself to just sit down and read a book for once in a VERY long time.
But then, out of nowhere, there was a very loud and extended knock on the front door. Everypony just knows by instinct that it would either be the police, or, predictably, Pinkie Pie. And, according to how quiet it was today, it had to be Pinkie Pie.
“Coming!” Twilight called, folding her wing back around her body, then, trotting back down the stairs, coming to the front of the library, where she used her magic open the door, making Pinkie spring into the empty room and then flying into a ninja pose.
“Hello Pinkie! Nice to see you! How have you been?” Twilight asked, watching Pinkie get back down to all fours.
“No time for talk! It is time… for Dungeons… and Dragons…”
"So, your saying you've already come up with a DND story within a span of a week?" Asked Twilight, giving Pinkie a sideways glance.
"My campaign took one month and a half, and that is actually a pretty good amount of time to come up with a story. But, how would you manage to make a good campaign in only one week?"
"I spent almost all my time this week coming up with amazing super-spect-acultra-licious ideas, and now, it is time, that we battle!" gasped Pinkie, breathing heavily as she held her hoof in the air as if there was a sword in the empty space.
"Well, you know you have to let everypony pick their characters first, right?" Twilight asked her, picking up the DND manual. "Also, we need to go back to Hybrid's Den so we can buy our pieces for the game. And, we still need to make our character sheets." finished Twilight, closing up the book and looking at the pink pony, who was already taking the manual from Twilight's magical aura.
"Well, you have 3 days to set up!" Pinkie said, saluting to Twilight. "Now get on with it!" she yelled, equally as loud.
Twilight sighed. Pinkie still had a lot to learn if she wanted to be DM, but, it was her choice, so now it's all up to her to make her super-specta-whatever story happen.
"You do know we need to have a list of characters we are able to play as, right?" the pony said, ready to call for Spike so everypony had word that their new adventure was near to come.
"Twilight. It doesn't matter for who you can play as, for when Pinkie is the dungeon master, any character can be chosen." Pinkie finished, looking rather too grim about the situation.
"Spike! Pinkie's ready, so send a note to everypony that we will be leaving to go to Hybrid's Den tomorrow morning. Oh, and also, tell them that they can play as any character they want to play as." completed Twilight, but Spike on the other hand was wide eyed and looking down at what he wrote, and then to Pinkie.
"Any character?" asked Spike, though he knew the answer.
"Yes. Any character. After all, we do need the strongest of us if you want to beat my ummm-azing story!" Pinkie bellowed, hopping around the room.
"Oh, this is going to be so fun! Spike, please send the letters." Instructed Twilight, the tamed dragon following what she said, sending all six messages at once.
"Now, let's get ready."
