Hello everyone, this is my first Fic, so I hope you like it. If you have advice, don't feel bad to message me. I know that there are multiple HIE stories, so I hope this one will enjoy you guys:)
Prologue
NAME: TOM "BLAZE" JACOBS
DATE: 01-JUNE-2053
PLACE: REDSHINE CASTLE RUIN ENCAMPMENT
MISSION: MEDIEVAL RED
"Time to wake up ladies" called General Hike.
Tom woke up from his sleep and tried to look at his alarm clock, which he didn't have.
"What time is it?" asked Tom when he got out of bed.
"It's Five in the morning, now get prepared for briefing, I want you all there at 5:30, so you better be quick."
Tom and his squadmembers directly went to the showers, and after that they went to the cafetaria for breakfast. At 5:27 they were finished with preparing and went off to the Main Tent.
"Good morning ladies," general Hike said when everyone sat down. "today, we are starting our assault at the ruins, so listen, I'm not explaining this again" the general said. "Blaze, you and your squad attack from the west side, Storm you and your squa...."
When Briefing was finished, they went off to their barracks to get their equipment. After that, they went to the helicopters.
"Today it's finally time." Ghost said, with a big smile on his face.
Tom looked at him "Yea, whoohoo, I can't wait." he said sarcasticly.
"Well sorry, I didn't know you are on your period." Ghost said with an even bigger smile.
Tom deadspanned at Ghost, who just smiled even bigger. They arrived at the helicopters, and after a few moments, they were up high, on their way to the castle. Tom was staring out of the window, with his necklace in his hand.
"What's up with you and that necklace?" Ghost asked. "You always touch it when we're going on a mission.".
Tom looked at his friend. "It's the only thing I have left of my parents, and is has always given me luck. 'Keep this with you, and it will be the key to a happy life' my dad used to say, so I've always kept it, and sofar my life isn't bad, so I think it actually works." "I've never believed in that shit. " Ghost said. "You have to fight for a happy life, that's why I joined the army. Why did you join it?" Tom stared out of the window as he started to tell.
"I originally come from the Netherlands, when I was 10, me and my family moved to the U.S.A., because my father had a new job there. But before we even arrived, it already went wrong. Our plain was struck by lighting, so we the power went out, and one motor was burning. We crashed down at an open field. My parents and I sat in the middle of the plain, which is the most stable part. When we hit the ground, the only thing I had, we some broken bones and some bruises. The other passengers where all dead, including my parents." Tom went silent for a moment.
"When the emergency team arrived, I had already left the plane, sitting all alone on field. When they asked what I did there, I explained it to them, and they were totally shocked. I was sent to the hispital, where I had to stay for some days. Someday, someone from the police came to ask me about what happened. I told them everything I knew. After that, they asked if I had more familly. Sadly, I had not, so they sent me to an orphanage. When I was there for a week, the police came again, but this time with a strange question. If I wanted to join the army, so I would be trained from my age of 10, so I could became masters of the battlefield. I had nothing left, and the orphanage bored me, so I said yes. And now, After years of training, I'm here, in this helicopter, with you and the other squadmembers on a mission to capture a ruin". Tom smiled when he said that last part, but he felt sad inside.
Ghost was shocked because of his story, then he, the smartass as he is, said: "Well, I don't really call that a happy life, so I don't think that that necklace works."
Tom deadspanned at him, wanted to say something, but then then they saw the light starting to flash, which ment they had to get ready to be dropped.
When they got everything ready, the green light started glowing, which ment they had to jump.
"Go, go, go." Tom said as his squadmembers jumped out. He went as last, deployed his wingsuit, and he started gliding through the air. From where he was watching up high, he saw that the assault had started down beneath him. The Squad landed on one of the towers, and nobody had seen them.
"Okay, here's the plan, Ghost, Grass and Snow, you go in and cause distraction, so me and Helix can get to their pwer generator. If we are not back in 20 minutes, you gotta get the Hell out of here and report us MIA, understood?" Everybody nodded.
"Alright then, let's do this".
Ghost, Grass and Snow went in, and after a few minutes, Tom and Grass heard shooting from inside, so they went in. They activated their optical camoflage, and started moving to the power source. They were halfway there, but Tom a little clicking sound. "Grass, watch ou" BOOM.
Grass exploded before Tom's eyes. Tom became covered in blood. Luckily he had an helmet on, so nothing went in his eyes. Tom then threw and EMP grenade, and he EMP'ed the security systems. He got Grass' dogtags, and he continued alone. He arrived at the power source, and he turned off the power. When he did that, he noticed that there was light coming out of his vest. He found out that the source was his necklace. When he got it out of his vest, a place in the wall started shining. He went to the light, and felt that there was a hole, which had the exact same form as his necklace. He tried to fit it in, and when he pushed it in the hole, the whole wall started schaking. Tom was shocked, while he watched the wall opening, and behind it, was a secret room.
Tom went in, and when he entered, the wall closed behind him. Tom found out he was trapped. He looked around, and saw a strange hole in the ground. Since there was no other way he could go, he went in the hole. He found himself falling, and falling, and falling, and he reached such speed, that he went unconsicous.
Tom found himself waking up in castle ruins.
"Where am I?" He asked himself, not expecting an answer. He saw that he was in different castle ruins then the one where he had his mission. He started to scan the surounding area and tried to message his HQ.
"HQ, this is Blaze, over." He heard nothing.
"HQ, this is Blaze, over." Again he heard nothing. The scan was complete, and he saw there were other life forms, heading his way. He quickly acitvated his optical camoflage, and sat down behind two big thrones. He heard talking, and hold his M27 ready. But when he saw what was coming, he was shocked: he saw talking ponies, some with wings and horns. They left the castle, and since he had nothing to do, he followed them into a big forest.
He finally heard what they said. "... and that's why Fluttershy and I went to the castle. I would have never thought that you would go there too." he heard one say with a "high class" accent.
"Why did you go there Twilight?"
"Well, I went there wi..." She stopped mid sentence and turned around.
"What's wrong Sugarcube?" a orange colored one asked so called Twilight.
"I think we're being followed." She said
"I'll go and look." a cyan colored winged one said. It flew towards him, and he thought he was caught. But he forgot he had optical camouflage on, so it didn't see him.
"Nothing here." the cyan colored said.
"Hmm, strange, I would swear I feel an other being there."
'How could she feel a being Tom asked himself.
"I think it's just the forest creeping you out, because there's nothing here." the cyan one said.
"Well, if you say so, Rainbow." The orange colored said. They continued walking and talking, and Tom still followed them.
After a few minutes, they arrived at the edge of the forest, and Tom saw them leaving. He hid behind some trees, and deactivated his camoflage. He saw the it was almost empty, and it had for 5 minutes invisibility left. He had to recharge it somehow, so he had to do it with a little solar pannel, which comes with his gear. He got out of the forest and sat in the sun so it would recharge. When he went back into the forest after 1 hour, it was only recharged for 3 minutes longer invis. It went night, so he started on a little base, ate some food reserves, drank some water, and he went to sleep.
When Tom and Twilight arrived at the castle, it was completely dark inside.
"Emm, Twi, why are the lights out?" Tom asked.
"I don't know, but I will teleport in." Twilight said as she powered up her teleportation spell.
Tom waited outside for 10 minutes, and he started to get bored.
'Screw this, I'm going in.' He thought to himself. When he entered the castle, it was completely dark inside.
"SURPRISE" was yelled when the lights went back on. When he could finally see again, he saw ponies everywhere, a very big cake, a very big sign saying "Welcome to Equis and Ponyville Tom!" and a VERY excited Pinkie Pie.
"Where you suprised, were ya, were ya, were ya?!?!?" Pinkie Pie asked Tom with a big smile plastered to her face.
"Yes, very surprised, nobody has ever thrown such party for me, thank you Pinkie." Tom said with a big smile.
"I'm glad you like it, 'cause I was really nervo-cited to throw this party, because you are a pony from another world, which made me very excited, but you're still from another world,so I didn't know what you liked, which caused me to be really nervous to throw you a good party, and I see that you're happy, and to see you're happy makes me happy, whi....." Pinkie was stopped by a certain cyan hoof in her mouth.
"I thinks he understands what you mean, Pinkie." Rainbow Dash said. "Why don't you go and eat some cake?"
"Ooohh, cake!" Pinkie said when she ran of towards the big cake.
"Thanks for saving me from that pink tornado, Rainbow, I don't know how much longer I could have survived that." Tom said laughing.
"Anytime Tom, but anyway, wanna play some games?" RD asked.
"Sure, why not." Tom said while he followed RD.
"Nice, but please don't cry when I beat your sorry flank." RD said.
"We'll see about that RD." Tom said laughing."We'll see about that."
Later that evening, when the party was over, Tom, Twilight and Pinkie were cleaning up the party.
"I can't believe you beat Rainbow Dash in the games." Twilight said. "Nobody has ever beaten her before, well, except for Pinkie here."
"Well, some games looked a bit like militairy training excersizes, like throwing balls into the holes, which looked like grenade throwing training. We had to do that untill we never failed, so it was pretty easy for me. But I actually only beat her in one game, and that was Pin the Tail on the Pony, we were tied in the other games."
When everything was done, Pinkie went back home, and Twilight and Tom went to bed.
Tom found himself lying in a grass field, which was completely empty, except for a hill with a tree in the middle. He walked up to the tree and looked around, seeing nothing but grass.
'Where the hell am I, and how did iI get here?' Tom thought to himself. He looked around once again, still seeing nothing. Suddenly, there was a shadow next to him. The shadow slowly formed into a pony, which was very dark blue, with a mane and tail that were aetherial, which looked like the night sky. The pony also had a horn, and wings too.
"Umm, hello?" Tom asked the pony. "Who are you, and did you bring me here, and if so, why?"
"I am princess Luna, co-ruler of Equestria, and Princess of the Night, and no, I did not bring you here, because this is all a dream."
"So, if this is a dream, then why are you here?" Tom asked.
"Well, since I am the Princess of the Night, it's my job to make sure that everypony sleeps well, without nightmares. When I was looking for nightmares, I saw a new dream demension, so I went in to look who it was from, and now I'm here."
Tom was a bit confused, but he just went with it.
"So, I am currently in a dream?" Tom asked.
"Yes you are, but so you mind telling me who and what you are?" Luna asked Tom.
"Oh, yes, sorry, My name is Tom Jacobs, I am a Human from Earth." Tom explained.
"So you are from an other demension then?" Luna asked.
"Well, yes, I was on a mission, because I am a soldier by the way, and it was in an old castle. When I was there, I found a secret room, which went to a portal, which sent me to some castle ruins in the forest near ponyville. And then, after some walking, life saving, more walking, talking, etc., I ended up sleeping in a castle owned by princess Twilight Sparkle."
"Aha, so yo... Wait, did you just say life saving?" Luna asked.
"Umm, well, yea, when I was walking around in the forest, I heard some screams, and when I went looking, I saw Twilight driven in a corner by some big wooden wolf things, so I killed that wolves and with that saved Twilight, after that, we went to her castle, met some new ponies today, got a party thrown for me, and now I'm sleeping here in a castle, with a pony princess talking to me in my dream, sooooo.... I've been bussy."
"Well, I hereby want to thank you for saving Twilight then, and I will talk to my sister about this, but for now, I got to go, because I also have to go to Night Court, so I will talk to you later."
"Okay then, cya, bye."
Tom woke up the next morning to the smell of pancakes.
'Are that pancakes? Man, I missed that smell.' Tom said to himself while he went to the kitchen. When he entered, he saw Twilight busy cooking pancakes.
"Morning Twi, you making pancakes?" Tom asked
"Moring Tom, yea, I am making pancakes, want some?"
"You bet, but why are you making them yourself, I mean, don't you have like a cook or something, since you're a princess and stuff?"
"Well, I just don't like ponies doing stuff that I can do myself, and besides, it's not too much work to just bake some pancakes." Twilight responed.
"You know, I can respect that, that you're not using your influence for that kind of stuff." Tom said with a smile while he got his pancakes serverd. "Thanks Twi." He quickly savored all the pancakes. "Man, it's been a long time since I had pancakes." Tom said with a satisfied look on his face.
"Well, we eat pancakes every sunday morning." Twilight said "Can you maybe wake Spike for breakfast?"
"Sure, no problem." Tom went to Spike's chamber, and went in. "Yo, Spike, breakfast is rea.. What are you doing?" Tom asked when he saw Spike looking threw a telescope.
"Not looking at Rarity or anything like that, heheh." Spike said with a shocked look on his face.
"So, the big dragon has a crush on the little pony fashionista?" Tom asked with a laugh.
"Yes, err, no, err, maybe?" Spike said with a blush.
"Hey, no problem man, I won't tell her or anything, but I think you might want to stop looking at her with a telescope."
"Why that?" Spike asked.
"Because everybody on the street is looking at you." Tom said. Spike slowly turned around to see everypony on the street looking at him standing in front of his window with a telescope pointed at Rarity's.
"I think you're right." He said as he quickly closed his window and the curtains.
"Well buddy, breakfast's ready, so you might wanna hurry before it's cold." And with that they went back to the kitchen. When breakfast was finished, Tom went for a walk through Ponyville, and went to the park, where just sat for a bit, listening some music from his Samsung, and thinking about the whole thing that happened. A few hours later he went to sugercube corner for some lunch, and after that he went back to the park, only to be stopped by Twilight.
"Tom, the princess sent me a message, and we need to go to Canterlot to see them."
"So, the princesses want to see if I am a threat or not?" Tom asked while he and Twilight were on a carriage on their way to Canterlot.
"Yes, they need to know if you're a threat to their subjects, but it's more a formality then anything else since you already saved me back in the Everfree Forest." Twilight explained.
"If you say so, but I'm still a bit nervous." Tom said. After one and a half hour they finally arrived at Canterlot. They went for a walk in the city first, and after that they went to the castle, where they were escorted through the halls to the throne room.
"Wait here, we will inform you when the princesses are ready to see you, princess Sparkle, follow me please, the princesses want to talk to you." The guard told them. Tom nodded and waved goodbye to twilight. After a few minutes, the guard came back.
"The princesses are ready to see you." The guard informed Tom. The big doorst to the throne room opened, and Tom walked in. Tom was astonished by the looks of the throne room. Then he looked at the princesses. One was snow white, with an aetherial mane and tail, and a mark of the sun on both her flanks, and he supposed that she was Celestia. The other one, was the same he saw in his dream, and he knew she was called Luna.
'Why is everybody giving me those strange looks?' Tom thought to himself 'Maybe it's just because I'm not a pony.' He saw the princesses whispering to each other, and wondered what it was about. Then Celestia cleared her throat.
"Welcome Tom Jacobs, I am Princess Celestia, and this is my sister, Princess Luna. We called you here because we want to see if you are a threat or not to our subjects." She began. "And we were wondering, why didn't you bow to us?" Realization hit Tom hard as a hammer. 'So that's why everybody gave me strange looks.'
"I don't bow to anyone why is royal, except if they have profen to be good a good ruler. Where I come from, rulers who could do whatever they wanted to do, most of the time abused their powers and were bad rulers. So that's why I don't bow to you unless you've profen yourself good rulers." Tom explained. It was completely silent, until Luna started to talk.
"So that there has been peace in this country for thousands of years under our rule, doesn't mean anything to you?" Tom focused on Luna.
"That there has been peace doesn't mean you're good rulers, so I will see for myself." Tom said.
"Okay, but now let's get back to the main topic if you're a threat or not." Celestia said. "Would you mind if I look into you mind to look at your history and things like that?" Tom thought about that for a moment.
"Well, I'm tempting to say no, because the idea of someone looking into your mind doesn't go well with me, and there is also some stuff in there that would give you nightmares for the next weeks, but on the other side, it's the easiest way to know my intentions and stuff, so I'm going to say yes, but I'm not responsible if you get a trauma from it." Tom answered.
"Trust me, I've seen many things in my life, so I don't think I will get any traumas." Celestia answered. "So please, could you come over here so I can take a look?" Tom nodded and went over to Celestia. She placed her horn on his forehead, and then they both went into Tom's mind.
"I'm going to take a look, but if there are things you don't want me to see, then just think of being locked away in a safe, so I won't be able to see it." Celestia explained Tom. Tom nodded and began to store away some memories. After a few seconds, he was finished.
"Okay, I'm done." Tom said. Celestia nodded and began to "absorb" all of the memories that were left. When she was done, she looked back at Tom.
"You've stored away quite some memories, from your birth to your age of 15 almost nothing was stored away, but after that, there were many memories stored away, could you tell me why?" Celestia asked Tom. Tom looked at Celestia.
"Because they would give you traumas, like I already told you earlier."
"I have lived for thousands of years, so if you only stored them away because you thought I would get traumas, then just show them please." Celestia told Tom.
"If you're sure..." Tom said, and with that, he released some of the memories from his missions in the army. Celestia first smiled at him that he released them, but that smile quicly faded when she saw all the dead bodies and all the other things he had seen. At the end she was on the edge of crying.
"I told you you wouldn't like it." Tom said to Celestia.
"I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that." Celestia said to Tom.
"Just one of the things you have to go through in the army." Tom said "It takes time to process it all, but when I saw dead bodies like that the first time, I also was like you are now. Now I'm sort of used to seeing them, so it's easier to process for me. I hope you now understand why I didn't want to show them."
"I understand now, and I also know that you won't hurt my subjects, unless they give you a good reason to." And with that they left Tom's mind.
"So I hereby declare, that the Human Tom Jacobs, now a citizen of Equestria is." Celestia said ending her little speech about Tom being allowed in Equestria. After that all her councillers left the throne room, with only luna, Celestia, Twilight and Tom remaining.
"I have prepared two rooms for you both for the night, so you won't have to go back so late in the evening." Celestia said.
"Thank you for your hospitality princess, but is it okay if I go out for a walk?" Tom asked.
"Off course, why don't you go to the gardens of the palace?" Celestia said.
"Thanks for the tip, but I have no idea where that would be, so can you show me the way?" Tom asked.
"Well, I'm going to bed now, but Luna has just woken up, so she can show you the way." Celestia said.
"Yes, if you would just follow me." Luna said.
"Okay, see you guys tomorrow then." Tom said as he followed Luna. After a few moment they arrived at the gardens.
"Do you mind if I join you on your walk?" Luna asked Tom.
"Sure, why not." Tom said as he started walking throught the gardens. After a few minutes of walking around, looking at all the Flora and the Fauna, Tom lay down on a little open grass field, staring at the sky.
"Umm, what are you doing?" Luna asked Tom.
"Stargazing off course, why do you ask?" Tom asked Luna.
"So you enjoy watching the night sky?" Luna asked Tom with a surprised look on her face.
"Yea, back on Earth you most of the time couldn't see the stars thanks to polution. But here there is a beautiful night sky every night. Why do you ask? Don't ponies stargaze too?"
"Well, you know, I as the Princess of the Night create the night sky, and as far as I know nopony has ever been stargazing, except for me and my sister sometimes. So, I'm flattered that you enjoy my night." Luna said with a light blush.
"Well, I gotta say, you did a damn good job, I've never seen such beautiful night sky before I came to Equestria, but anyway, let's just go and continue watching." And after a hour of stargazing, Tom went to bed, and Luna went out looking for nightmares to fight.

I've been gone for a long time, but I'm back writing the story, so I hope you're going to enjoy it. I didn't think it would be so hard to think of something good, and this is just the beginning, but anyway guys, ENJOY
