When Tom, Twilight, and Applejack made it to the farm they then saw three humans standing and talking to each other. They couldn't see who it was because it was to far to tell.

Once they approached them one yelled to the other

Tom: Well apparently you know me.' he pointed to Adam.

Tom: Do you all have any idea how you got here. Tom said
