My name is Flash Sentry, Flash Brad Johnson Sentry, and this is my story. The story of how just one wish changed my life forever.                                        ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summer. Everyone is exited for it when it happens. Summer is usually a great time to bond with your family or goof off all day with your friends until Fall appears with school to ruin the fun. Me, I was really exited yesterday because not only did I show up to school looking like a person from the Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout 3, but me and my band got the first ever Canterlot High gold record. Rainbow Dash was a little mad considering they won the battle of the bands, but she congratulated me anyways. But today was graduation and right now it's only me and Rainbow Dash left to get a diploma, I think. "And finally the award for best music goes toooo." Principal Celestia said into her microphone as Vice Principal Luna opened an envelope Me and Rainbow Dash were exited, both of us had been nominated to for best music award and now it would be time to find out who won. Vice Principal Luna then handed Principal Celestia the paper and said, "Flash Sentry!" I then immediately got out of my seat and got the framed award with tons of cheers to follow. Only makes sense. I though, I mean I DID win the first Canterlot High golden record. "Flash, do you have anything to comment on about winning this?" Principal Celestia asked "Well, I do. The only thing I wanna say is that I never would have made it this far without my friends and band members." I said as I motioned Rainbow and the others to come to my side, I then turned to them and continued, "These people right here are the greatest people I have ever met. Rainbow Dash who once showed me that loyalty to your friends was way more important than going with your fantasy. "Pinkie Pie, who once showed me that making sure my friends were happy to be more important over who was better than who, Rarity, who once showed me that you should never let anyone take advantage of your generosity, Applejack, who taught me that sometimes even if it hurts, honest is always the right path, Fluttershy, who taught me that sometimes even being assertive is the kindest thing you could do. "Axel Jones, who helped me see the truth of rock with his guitar skills, Pete Pasta, who helped me when the band was first starting out with his drums, Atomic Adam, without his help on the sound and such we wouldn't be where we were today, and finally Sunset Shimmer, you were one cruel and dishonest with everyone and ever broke up some friendships, but with my help you and I both learned the importance of friendship over time." I turned back to the crowed and finished "And I can say that this whole school has helped me learn a lot about friendship too. And remember these words my fellow students, no matter how big or small your friendship is, no matter who your friend is, friendship, friendship never changes." Applause and cheers soon broke out and the next thing I knew I was in the embracing group hug of my friends.                                        ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Home, this is where I made the wish. After graduation I returned home to see my parents had already hung up a banner that said "Canterlot High Senior Graduate" on it. Yes if your're wondering I did just graduate as a Senior. "Congratulations son!" Mom and Dad said together "Wow! Thanks guys!" I said to them "We knew you could do it champ!" Dad said as he came to my side "Enough talk lets have cake!" Mom said as she began cutting a cake in the shape of my shield and lightning bolt "Oh, dear what am I gonna do about you and your love of cake." Dad said as he went over to Mom The rest of the day then went off as normal and soon I found myself looking at the stars from my computer desk. I then looked at a photo on my desk, it was of me and Twilight right before she left again. The photo showed the two of us kissing at the battle of the bands, I loved that pic because it was the last time I ever saw Twilight. I then looked outside and made a wish, "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight, I really miss Twilight, I wanna see her again, or at least go to her home land of Equestria, please, I really miss her." I then turned back to my computer and turned it off and got to bed, waiting for what tomorrow would bring me.                                       ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I awoke to find myself looking up into a cloudy sky, I rose up to see what appeared to be a ruined room. On my left was a shattered full body mirror and to the right was shattered glass and in front of me was a broken door. "Where am I?" I said as I noticed my surroundings "I wish I could tell you." said a voice from nowhere "What?! Who's there!" I shouted a little spooked "Look behind you." The voice said I did so and what I saw next I couldn't comprehend. He looked like a pony version of a Brotherhood of Steel person and looked ghostly. "Who are you?" I asked "Warrior." The pony answered "Are you a ghost?" I asked "Ya I am." Warrior answered "Well do you know where I am at least?" I asked again "Your Pip-Buck might." Warrior said pointing to my left arm I looked and he was right, a Pip-Boy was on my left arm, normally I would be fan boying my mind out, but right now I was a little scared. How in the world did one end up on me in the first place I will never know. I held it up to me and just as i expected i had no idea how to turn it on. Normally I would try every button on screen, but the only problem was was that the only thing I had was a knob and a wheel to cycle through inventory. I tried pushing down on the knob and it instantly came to life. I then pressed the the light under DATA and turned out it was a button, I then used the knob to check the world map an it said "The Crystal Empire" on it. "It says we're in some place called the Crystal Empire." I said "Last I heard slavers and raiders were set up here." "S-slavers a-and r-r-raiders?" I asked a little scared It's time I come clean, I love Fallout 3, but there are two things in that game I both hate and are scared of. Slavers and the raiders. I died lots of times just from those guys to make me rage, but when I played the expansion known as Into the Pitt I sudden became afraid of them. I then checked STATS and what met my eyes terrified me, it said "Flash Sentry Level 1". I suddenly felt like peeing my pants, because I knew for a fact that I was officially screwed, both figuratively and literally. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 I should come clean with how Warrior looks, he had black and blue in his mane and tail and his hair looked almost exactly like mine only a little straighter in the back, his tail was also short, say about 9 to 10 inches, he had red crimson eyes, red hooves that stood out well from his black fur, and he had on a tattoo on his butt that was of a Zebra skull with two swords crossing. "Is there a way out of here?" I asked Warrior "Look behind you." he said as he pointed a hoof behind me I turned to see a open door frame and outside was not only a bag with a note on it, but surprisingly my car. I had no idea how my car got there, but I didn't care. I went over to my car and noticed the door to the drivers's side was open, I ignored it for that moment and went over to the bag. I picked up the note and read it, "Dear Flash," That was the first thing that struck me as odd, the only one who ever called me by my first name instead of my full name minus my middle names was Twilight, "If you find this, then I'm dead." I then began to feel tears grow in my eyes and my bottom lip shake as I continued to read, "Cadence tried to teleport you to me just before the bombs dropped, but she sent you into the future VERY far into the future and inside is some power armor I made for you if you were to ever somehow able to come to me. I'm so sorry that you had to be sent so far I wish there was something I could've done but, I couldn't do anything. Please don't be mad at me, if you are, again, I'm so sorry and, I love you. Your Girlfriend, Twilight Sparkle" My legs then gave way and was on my knees, I felt like crying right there and then, she died and I was SOO far into the future it didn't help that I wouldn't even be able to see her anymore, I felt like shit, I felt horrible, I felt mad, I felt angry! I wanted to know who set off these bombs and I wanted to know where they were so I could kill them. I then reached for the bag and got out the armor and put on each piece except for my helmet, for some reason I felt like I wanted people-I mean ponies to know my face should I ever have to kill them and then put my helmet to make them see a masked face they would never forget. I looked in a nearby broken mirror and I looked kinda like a Brotherhood of Steel soldier, but to me it made sense because a few weeks ago I had beaten Fallout 3 and started playing the broken steel expansion pack after becoming an official knight in the Brotherhood of Steel, and I should probably stop before I ramble on. I opened the passenger door and placed the note in my car's glove compartment. "Hey." I said to Warrior, "I know you're a ghost and all, but I wouldn't mind if you sat in my car." "Well i am kinda getting tired of floating." Warrior said as he floated onto the seat I buckled him in and went over to the driver's side as I closed the door. I got in and shut the door after buckling in and started the car up only to be met with the sound of it not wanting to start. "Start you turd! Start!" I said as I banged the top of my car It eventually came to life with the sound of the engines starting and I carefully drove of the hallway to be met with...well I had to roll down the window and immediately launch out whatever was left of my lunch out the window onto the floor. Now for the record I was USED to gore form Fallout 3 since it was a game, but this I could not stomach. On the ceiling decapitated pony bodies were hung with their intestines drooping out of their open stomachs like a piece of rope, fresh pony heads hung by other intestines of other decapitated ponies, blood constantly pouring from the poor bodies, intestines hung by a chain as they appeared to be pulled out of their mouths, and even some intestines were nailed to the wall as they went from out of a ponies stomach to around them and to around their necks, it was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen in my entire life. "Oh my god that is fucking gross who'd do that!?" I shouted finishing up unleashing my lunch "Raiders, I said Raiders and Slavers controlled this area like a madhouse remember?" Warrior said not looking the least bit disgusted "Well number one, they are sick, number two, we might be in deep trouble then, and three, did you hear that?" "Hear what?" "Listen." "Hey Butch did ya that?" Said a VERY raspy girl voice "Sounds like voices, I'm gonna check it out." said a VERY raspy boy voice "Oh shit they're on to us!" Warrior said as he unbuckled his seat belt and got out "Hey wait!" I said as I got out and followed him We ducked behind my car and waited as the sound of hoof steps got closer. "What the fuck is this thing?" the raspy girl voice said "Lets trash it!" Butch shouted "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY CAR!" I shouted as I got out from my hiding spot and revealed myself to them "Whoa! Talk about mutated freaks!" Butch shouted, "What do we do Bonnie?" "Warn the other you shit wad!" Bonnie shouted I then spotted a lazer gun in the middle of some wreckage and pulled it out. "Over my dead body!" I shouted as I put on the helmet I then fired a couple of rounds at them using V.A.T.S at their heads and bodies and they disintegrated instantly. "That was close!" I shouted as I took off my helmet, "In fact it STILL is close!" "Well no shit Sherlock you didn't even bother to let me try and kill them silently!" Warrior shouted "K-kill them silently-WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU TELL ME EARLIER THAT YOU COULD DO THAT!" I shouted "You never asked." Warrior replied with a sly grin I then face palmed. "Lets just go." I said We got back into my car and I didn't realize it sooner, but my car seemed to have unlimited gas according to the gas gauge. I figured Cadence and Twilight were probably the ones responsible for it and silently I thanked them. As we rounded a corner we found ourselves looking to the outside world and I just had to stop. "Holy shit." I said making it sound like a whisper What I saw almost made my eyes drop out of my head: outside it looked like hell, no, more than hell, a nightmare. I then pulled out a CD and placed it into my radio and flipped through to the last song, it was truly the only one that could express it. And I heard as it were the noise of thunder... The only way I could describe it was burning pony corpses, alive ones at that, destroyed houses, and alcohol bottles around the place from beer, whine, whisky, vodka, you name it, even rubbing alcohol that you rub on wounds, if they drink it I'll be grossed out. I guess even in another dimension slavers and raiders were despicable. Surprisingly we reached the train station with no raider or slaver to be seen. I then turned my head to Warrior to ask him something. "Does a train come to here?" I asked "Not in 300 years." Warrior said, "Why do you ask?" "Just curious." I said, "Also." I then raised my foot over the gas pedal. "You better be ready for a ride!" I then slammed my foot on the gas pedal and we rode down the left rode and noticed we were heading for a snow area. "Shit! This car's not meant for snow!" I shouted And the next thing I knew my windshield was covered in snow.
