Who is Dusk Chaser?

Queen Sunshine was a very kind queen. She was a yellowish colored alicorn with a mane colored red orange and yellow. Her mane was long and flowed ever gracefully. She was born as a unicorn, she later earned her wings, turning her into an alicorn, after showing affinity to the sun. She had a powerful magic that allowed her to raise the sun by herself. In the past, unicorns were in charge of the moon and sun. But when Queen Sunshine was born, she wanted to help raise the sun, since all unicorns of age were to help raise the sun and moon. However, she was not allowed to by her parents since they thought that a princess was not to do stressful work.

Sunshine decided to help in secret. She would use a transformation spell to change her appearance.

Eventually, ponies noticed that the task of raising the moon was getting easier. The King and Queen decided to investigate. They found out that it was due to the help of Sunshine. Sunshine said that her magic was strong, and that she insisted she would help. She said that she could handle the sun. and the unicorns could do the moon. After thinking about it thoroughly, her parents allowed it. At that point, she raised the sun all on her own and earned her cutie mark. It was a single sun with the image of a unicorn, representing how she not only solely lifted the sun into the sky, but also lifted a giant burden from the unicorns. After receiving her cutie mark she gained wings, becoming the first known alicorn. Ths made it easier for her to raise the sun every day.

Now back to the present day.

After raising the sun, the queen returned to her chambers. "Good morning my love," said king Moonlight.

"Good morning to you as well. Shall we have breakfast now?" replied queen Sunshine.

"Sure, you can bring along Rose Heart if you want."

"Oh joy, I shall meet you at the dinning hall."

King Moonlight had a blue coat and a white mane. He was a tall and buff alicorn stallion. He used to be a pegasus. He was a rogue, he was born into a poor family. He used to steal food from other ponies. This all changed after his meeting with Queen Sunshine. He accidentally bumped into her during one of his stealing-sprees. He didn't know who she was (This was because she had her cloak and her transformation spell). However, he fell in love with her. She had asked if he could help her sneak into the sun raising field. He agreed to bring her there every night. In return, Sunshine would give him 3 loaves of bread. They became best friends. After the sun set, they would talk all the time.

However, this was not enough for Moonlight. He wanted to help Sunshine. He told her that he wished he could raise the moon. Sunshine felt sorry for him. She came up with an idea. She told him that even if he couldn't raise the moon, he could help her by carrying her up to the sky to make raising the sun easier. He did so everyday, until one day, sunshine got sick. He was so sad. he flew all around the world looking for a cure.

Eventually, he learned a spell from a stranger that could cure any disease. The only problem was that it could only be cast by an alicorn. Even though no one could do the spell. he decided to bring the spell to Sunshine anyway. He tried so hard to do the spell. However, being only a pegasus, the spell couldn't work.

Almost all hope was lost, until suddenly, Moonlight was surrounded by the light of the moon. The moon had given him  more magic. Enough magic to turn him into an alicorn! With his newly gained status, he finally was able to perform the spell. Since that day, his magic was linked to the moon's, he also earned his cutie mark, a moon with a heart, symbolizing how his love for Sunshine let him harness the moon's power. Sunshine and Moonlight got married a few years later.

King Moonlight proceeded to the dining hall as Queen Sunshine rushed to Rose Hearts' chamber. Rose Heart was not only her head maid, but also her dresser, stylist, and her BEST FRIEND. They were so close they even had nicknames for each other.

Rose Heart was a pinkish unicorn with a redish pink mane and tail. Her cutie mark was a rose with a baby's stuffed toy. Her cutie mark symbolized how she tenderly takes care of every single foal she was assigned to take care of. She was a foalsitter. She had met the queen a few weeks after her marriage. They met when Sunshine accidentally tripped on her way to her favorite snack place. Being the kind hearted pony she was, she rushed to the queen and gave her first-aid. They were best friends ever since.

"Good morning Rosey!" A startled unicorn jumped out of her bed before she realized who woke her up.

"Oh Sunny, it's just you. I thought it was a thief."

"Oh come on now Rosey, the palace is guarded with a thousand guards 24/7. How could a thief possibly get in?" Just as Rose was going to answer, the queen interrupted,

"Come on, it's time for breakfast." So the two friends walked side by side chatting along the way. Eventually, they made it to the dining hall.

"Good morning Rose Heart," said King Moonlight.

"Good morning your Majesty." Rose replied while bowing. As they all took their seats, the door opened. And walking inside was a royal guard. However, this was not just a royal guard, it was the head of the Night Royal Guards.

"I hope you don't mind dear, but I invited Night Frisk for breakfast," said the king, "He is my best friend after all."

"Not at all dear." replied the queen.

Night Frisk was a tall pegasus but shorter than the queen and king. His coat was a light bluish grey and his mane and tail had shades of white and blue. He used to work in a gym in Cloudsdale. He would usually train pegasi for the equestria games. He met Moonlight when he trained in his gym. The two became best friends when he had helped moonlight search for a cure spell for Sunshine. He was later appointed as head of the Night Royal Guards after Moonlight was made king.

After eating a delicious 10-course meal, they started to chat. "So have you met each other?" said King Moonlight to their two guests. Both Rose and Night answered

"Not yet."

"Well I think you two look cute together." said the queen, which led the two guests to blush. After breakfast, the king told Rose and Night to spend time getting to know each other. And with that, the king and queen left them, and their guests decided to have a stroll in the Royal garden.

A shy Rose decided to start a conversation. "S-so... h-how long h-h-have you known the king?" asked a blushing Rose.

"About 3 years ago," replied Night, "How long have you known the queen?"

"Oh, I knew her for about 3 years as well."replied Rose, not as shy as before. The two talked and talked, enjoying each others' company. Soon, the sun lowered and the moon rose, and with that, the two bid each other good night and agreed on meeting the next day.

The next day, they had a picnic. As they ate they started to talk. Eventually, Rose asked "Night, do you think I'm pretty?' Night was slightly shocked at the question and answered

"No." A heart broken Rose hung her head, obviously disappointed. Night then raised her head with his hoof, and stared into her eyes. "You didn't let me finish," said Night, "I think you're beautiful." And as the sun set, the two shared a passionate kiss.

A few years later, Rose and Night got married. They were so happy, and their best friends, the king and queen (who headed the ceremony) were happy for them as well.
