She was a yellowish colored alicorn with a mane colored red orange and yellow. Her mane was long and flowed ever gracefully. She was born as a unicorn, she later earned her wings, turning her into an alicorn, after showing affinity to the sun. She had a powerful magic that allowed her to raise the sun by herself. In the past, unicorns were in charge of the moon and sun. But when Queen Sunshine was born, she wanted to help raise the sun, since all unicorns of age were to help raise the sun and moon. However, she was not allowed to by her parents since they thought that a princess was not to do stressful work. Sunshine decided to help in secret. She would use a transformation spell to change her appearance. Eventually, ponies noticed that the task of raising the moon was getting easier. The King and Queen decided to investigate. They found out that it was due to the help of Sunshine. Sunshine said that her magic was strong, and that she insisted she would help. She said that she could handle the sun. and the unicorns could do the moon. After thinking about it thoroughly, her parents allowed it. At that point, she raised the sun all on her own and earned her cutie mark. It was a single sun with the image of a unicorn, representing how she not only solely lifted the sun into the sky, but also lifted a giant burden from the unicorns. After receiving her cutie mark she gained wings, becoming the first known alicorn. Ths made it easier for her to raise the sun every day. Now back to the present day. After raising the sun, the queen returned to her chambers. "Good morning my love," said king Moonlight. "Good morning to you as well. Shall we have breakfast now?" replied queen Sunshine. "Sure, you can bring along Rose Heart if you want." "Oh joy, I shall meet you at the dinning hall." King Moonlight had a blue coat and a white mane. He was a tall and buff alicorn stallion. He used to be a pegasus. He was a rogue, he was born into a poor family. He used to steal food from other ponies. This all changed after his meeting with Queen Sunshine. He accidentally bumped into her during one of his stealing-sprees. He didn't know who she was (This was because she had her cloak and her transformation spell). However, he fell in love with her. She had asked if he could help her sneak into the sun raising field. He agreed to bring her there every night. In return, Sunshine would give him 3 loaves of bread. They became best friends. After the sun set, they would talk all the time. However, this was not enough for Moonlight. He wanted to help Sunshine. He told her that he wished he could raise the moon. Sunshine felt sorry for him. She came up with an idea. She told him that even if he couldn't raise the moon, he could help her by carrying her up to the sky to make raising the sun easier. He did so everyday, until one day, sunshine got sick. He was so sad. he flew all around the world looking for a cure. Eventually, he learned a spell from a stranger that could cure any disease. The only problem was that it could only be cast by an alicorn. Even though no one could do the spell. he decided to bring the spell to Sunshine anyway. He tried so hard to do the spell. However, being only a pegasus, the spell couldn't work. Almost all hope was lost, until suddenly, Moonlight was surrounded by the light of the moon. The moon had given him  more magic. Enough magic to turn him into an alicorn! With his newly gained status, he finally was able to perform the spell. Since that day, his magic was linked to the moon's, he also earned his cutie mark, a moon with a heart, symbolizing how his love for Sunshine let him harness the moon's power. Sunshine and Moonlight got married a few years later. King Moonlight proceeded to the dining hall as Queen Sunshine rushed to Rose Hearts' chamber. Rose Heart was not only her head maid, but also her dresser, stylist, and her BEST FRIEND. They were so close they even had nicknames for each other. Rose Heart was a pinkish unicorn with a redish pink mane and tail. Her cutie mark was a rose with a baby's stuffed toy. Her cutie mark symbolized how she tenderly takes care of every single foal she was assigned to take care of. She was a foalsitter. She had met the queen a few weeks after her marriage. They met when Sunshine accidentally tripped on her way to her favorite snack place. Being the kind hearted pony she was, she rushed to the queen and gave her first-aid. They were best friends ever since. "Good morning Rosey!" A startled unicorn jumped out of her bed before she realized who woke her up. "Oh Sunny, it's just you. I thought it was a thief." "Oh come on now Rosey, the palace is guarded with a thousand guards 24/7. How could a thief possibly get in?" Just as Rose was going to answer, the queen interrupted, "Come on, it's time for breakfast." So the two friends walked side by side chatting along the way. Eventually, they made it to the dining hall. "Good morning Rose Heart," said King Moonlight. "Good morning your Majesty." Rose replied while bowing. As they all took their seats, the door opened. And walking inside was a royal guard. However, this was not just a royal guard, it was the head of the Night Royal Guards. "I hope you don't mind dear, but I invited Night Frisk for breakfast," said the king, "He is my best friend after all." "Not at all dear." replied the queen. Night Frisk was a tall pegasus but shorter than the queen and king. His coat was a light bluish grey and his mane and tail had shades of white and blue. He used to work in a gym in Cloudsdale. He would usually train pegasi for the equestria games. He met Moonlight when he trained in his gym. The two became best friends when he had helped moonlight search for a cure spell for Sunshine. He was later appointed as head of the Night Royal Guards after Moonlight was made king. After eating a delicious 10-course meal, they started to chat. "So have you met each other?" said King Moonlight to their two guests. Both Rose and Night answered "Not yet." "Well I think you two look cute together." said the queen, which led the two guests to blush. After breakfast, the king told Rose and Night to spend time getting to know each other. And with that, the king and queen left them, and their guests decided to have a stroll in the Royal garden. A shy Rose decided to start a conversation. "S-so... h-how long h-h-have you known the king?" asked a blushing Rose. "About 3 years ago," replied Night, "How long have you known the queen?" "Oh, I knew her for about 3 years as well."replied Rose, not as shy as before. The two talked and talked, enjoying each others' company. Soon, the sun lowered and the moon rose, and with that, the two bid each other good night and agreed on meeting the next day. The next day, they had a picnic. As they ate they started to talk. Eventually, Rose asked "Night, do you think I'm pretty?' Night was slightly shocked at the question and answered "No." A heart broken Rose hung her head, obviously disappointed. Night then raised her head with his hoof, and stared into her eyes. "You didn't let me finish," said Night, "I think you're beautiful." And as the sun set, the two shared a passionate kiss. A few years later, Rose and Night got married. They were so happy, and their best friends, the king and queen (who headed the ceremony) were happy for them as well. //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing Up (Part 1): Young Foals //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing Up (Part 1): Young Foals "TIA! WHEWE AWE WOU?!?" shouted an adorable blue princess named Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "What is it now sis?" asked a slightly annoyed but caring Celestia. "I'm hungwy." said Luna with puppy dog eyes and a slight pout. "If I get you some food will you stop using your cute voice?" "Maybe." said Luna. "I don't think that's possible," said a certain bat pony who trotted into the room, "all her voices are cute." "Dusk, you're here!" said the two sisters. Celestia started to walk over to him while Luna ran towards him. As Luna nuzzled her best friend Celestia said "Where have you been mister child royal guard?" "Oh, nowhere special... I just got us a snack."  replied Dusk, smirking while handing Celestia a slice of blueberry cheesecake, and giving Luna a bag of chocolate chip cookies. "HUZZAH!" shouted Luna as Celestia grabbed her slice of cake. "Thwank thwou." said celestia, with her mouth full of cake. "Ya thanks, I was sooooo HUNGRY!" said Luna nuzzling Dusk while chewing on her cookie. "Don't mention it." said Dusk resting between the two fillies eating a chocolate chip cookie as well. After their snack, Luna wanted to play a game. Luna stood up and shouted "I wanna play a game!" "What do you want to play exactly?" said a quizzical and confused Celestia. "How about tag?" suggested Dusk. "No..." replied Luna. "Rock, paper, scissors?" asked Celestia. "No! I wanna play Hide and go seek." said Luna "Ok, who's 'it'?" asked Celestia. "You are, Tia!" said Luna, as she proceeded to hide. "Fine, 10, 9, 8..." said Celestia as Dusk proceeded to hide. "...7, 6, 5,..." she continued. "pssst, Dusk..." said Luna pointing to a hiding space for Dusk. As soon as he spotted her, he ran towards the hiding space. Luna was hiding behind the sofa and Dusk hid among the multiple Plant decorations in their play room. Time was running out, only a few seconds left before Celestia would search for them. "...4, 3, 2..." continued Celestia. "1 bit to the last one Tia finds." said Dusk "We accept thy terms!' agreed Luna. "1! Ready or not here I come!" shouted Celestia as she started to look for her playmates. She looked under the bed, no one there. She looked in their toy box, no one there either. She looked behind the book shelf, and in every book, no one there either. "That leaves two places left to hide." said Celestia, approaching the plant decorations. "Aha!" Celestia said checking behind the plant decorations. Unknown to her, Dusk ran behind the couch. Now, both Luna and Dusk were behind the sofa. "Well then, that leaves only one place left..." Celestia said walking towards the couch, "...BEHIND THE SOFA! FOUND YOU!" said Celestia, before realizing that no one was behind the sofa. "Huh?!?" said a dumbfounded Celestia. "Where are you, you little foals?" unknown to Celestia, Dusk and Luna were having another snack in the kitchen. 5 minutes after, while Celestia was looking all over the room, Dusk and Luna were walking back inside. "Huh? Where have you two been?" asked a slightly upset and tired Celestia. "We got hungry so we got a snack." said Luna. "Oh, we forgot about the game." said Dusk "Whatever, let's just go to sleep." said a slightly annoyed Celestia. "Psst, Dusk, you still owe me a bit." said Luna. "No, Celestia saw us at the same time!" said Dusk in reply. "You entered the room first, she saw you before me." said Luna "Fine, here." said Dusk handing his friend a bit. "Nah, never mind, let's get some sleep." said Luna After they played they all decided to take a nap. Celestia rested her head on Dusk and cuddled up to him, while Luna nuzzled him and cuddled closer to him. Dusk spread his wings and spread it over his sleeping friends. It was only a few weeks ago when they learned to eat and sleep on their own. "Good night Dusk, Good night Luna." said Celestia. "Guwd nighwt Tia, Guwd nighwt Dusk." replied Luna. "Good night Tia, Good night Lulu." said Dusk. And with that the two sisters each gave Dusk a small kiss on the cheek. Dusk kissed Luna back, and then finally they all fell asleep.After finally getting cozy they all fell fast asleep. The three little foals continue to sleep and a blush suddenly appears on Luna's face. She feels cold and cuddles even closer to Dusk, who spreads his wings more over Luna and nuzzles her as well. Suddenly, King Moonlight, Queen Sunshine, Rose Heart, and Night Frisk walked in to check on their sleeping children. "DAWWWWWWWWW..." they all said for about 5 minutes, possibly even longer. "It seems those three foals really get along, don't they?" asked Queen Sunshine. "Yes, they do Sunny." replied Rose. "Dusk sure knows how to treat a mare, look he has his wings over BOTH my daughters, and they seem to like it." said King Moonlight. "Yeah especially Princess Luna." said Night noticing how Luna cuddled up so close up to Dusk, and nuzzled him. "Let's go, we don't want to miss our snack and spa day, do we?" asked Queen Sunshine. "Are you sure they will be alright?" asked  Rose. "Of course, there are over a thousand guards here." said King Moonlight. "Yeah and Dusk is here too." said Night. And with that, the 4 ponies went to their snack place, the Hay Burger. After which they went to the Ponyville Day Spa. //-------------------------------------------------------// Growin Up (Part 2): Flying Lessons //-------------------------------------------------------// Growin Up (Part 2): Flying Lessons "Wake up my little ponies!" greeted Rose Heart. Dusk only groaned, as he still wanted sleep. Celestia and Luna were still sleeping soundly, both cuddled up tighter to Dusk. "Come on now, don't you three want to learn how to fly?" asked Rose. "FLY?!?! WE'RE LEARNING HOW TO FLY?!?!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE (Which the three foals knew since birth). For some reason, this failed to wake up the Princesses. "Lulu, Tia, wake up," said dusk giving each a slight nudge with his snout, "today is our flight lessons!' "Huh? flight? *yawn* okay." said Celestia nudging Dusk the same way he did to wake her up. "Fwight? buwt iw'm *yawn* stiwll sweepy," said Luna. "Come on Lulu, if you dont wake up, I'll carry you all the way there." said Dusk. "Then you better start carrying then." said Luna. "Fine then," said Dusk as he carried the half asleep Luna on his back, "Hold on". And with that Celestia and Dusk, with Luna over his back, walked out of the room, to the FFFTS. The Filly and Foal Flight Training Space or the FFFTS was the place where all ponies with a membership train to fly. It is a very exclusive training place and only royalty, delegates, or any other important ponies can train there. Ponies there are trained by none other than Night Frisk (Who used to train pegasi in Cloudsdale in the first place). As soon as Celestia, Luna, and Dusk arrived they were greeted by not only Night Frisk, but also their father. "Dad?!? What are you doing here?" asked Celestia. "Oh nothing, I'm just going to help out in your flight training." replied King Moonlight. "Shall we get started?" asked Night Frisk. "Sure thing pa," said Dusk, "Where do we begin?" The basic FFFTS training regimen starts with wing flapping. This eases out the wing muscles to prevent cramps. "We begin with wing flapping." said Night Frisk, and with that, everypony gently flapped their wings. "This is easy!" said Luna. "Yeah, is this all flying takes?" asked Celestia "Of course not!" said King Moonlight. The next step is wing-ups. This is the easiest way to build up wing strength. "Next we have wing-ups." said King Moonlight demonstrating how wing-ups are done. As the foals watch, they start to copy King Moonlight and Night Frisk's actions. "This is hard." said Dusk, struggling to do a wing-up, with slight pain in his wings due to his wing problem. "What are you talking about, this is easy." said Celestia. "Yeah, didn't you just carry me all the way here Dusk?" asked Luna already doing her tenth wing-up. "Yes, but I didn't need my wings." replied Dusk, already on his second wing-up. "You can stop if you want son." said a slightly worried Night Frisk. "Wait, one last." said Dusk, doing his final wing-up. "So, the numbers are in," said King Moonlight, "Celestia did the most wing-ups with 50." "Luna did 25 wing-ups," said Night Frisk, "and son, you did 5." Celestia and Luna were trying to stop a laugh, only to end up snickering. "It's ok son, you might do better in the nest step." said Night Frisk trying to comfort his son. The next step is weight lifting. Foals start of with the lightest weight available, a 200 lbs. weight. This is roughly 1.5 times their weight. This will boost their wing strength enough for flight. Luna easily lifted the weight 10 times. Celestia also did the same feat. However, Dusk was only able to lift it half of that, doing only 5 lifts. Again Celestia and Luna tried to stop a laugh, only to end up snickering. Again, Night Frisk tried to cheer up his son. "Anyway, lets go to basic flying." said Night Frisk. Each foal had to fly 10 meters high. This was the easiest flight test. If a pony can fly over the marker, flying would become easier and easier. Celestia went first. She was able to fly above the marker. She flew roughly 15 meters high. Luna went next. She was able to fly roughly 12 meters high. Dusk was next. "I don't wanna." said Dusk, unsure if he could do the task. "But you were the most excited about flying." said Celestia. "Yeah but..." said Dusk. "Dusk, Trying something and failing is better than not trying, ponies can learn from mistakes but not from victories, If you try and fail, then you can learn from it, if you don't even try, then you are a real coward!" said Luna. Dusk hesitated for a moment, but decided to try anyway. Dusk flew 1 meter, 2 meters, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... unfortunately, just before reaching the 10 meter mark, Dusk's wings gave up on him. "You'll do better next time." said King Moonlight. Everyday, training continued. Everyday, Luna and Celestia did better and better. Dusk on the other hand remained at the 9 meter mark. 5 months have past since they started training. This was it, it was time for the foals'first flight. Each foal was to fly from the training space, all the way to the end mark at Cloudsdale, which was 25 meters far. "Okay kids, on your if you don't make it to Cloudsdale, you'll have to try again next year." said King Moonlight explaining the rule for new flyers. "On your marks." said Night Frisk, starting the test. "Get set, GO!" And with that, the foals started to fly. So far everypony was fine, the had just past the 5 meter mark. Everypony was speeding up. They were approaching the 10 meter mark, Dusk was unsure if he could make it. He kept flapping. Everypony past the 10 meter mark. Dusk beat his past record. The foals finally reached the 20 meter mark, Dusk was feeling intense pain right now. "Luna, Celestia, go on ahead, I'll catch up."said Dusk feeling the pain from his wings. "Are you sure?" asked the two sisters. "Yeah."replied Dusk. and with that, the two sisters flew ahead of Dusk, passing the 25 meter mark, reaching Cloudsdale. Dusk was struggling with flying, he had already passed the 24 meter mark. His wings could give up at any moment. "Only one meter more." cheered Luna and Celestia. *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* "Arrrrrghhhhh..." screemed Dusk whose wings start to cramp. *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* "Come on, you're almost here." said Luna trying to encourage her friend. Struggling on the last few flaps, Dusk started to pass out. Only 5 flaps more. *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* Suddenly, Dusk passed out. "Son, wake up." said a proud Night Frisk. Soon Dusk regained consciousness. "D-did I M-m-make it?" asked Dusk. "Yes son, yes you did." said Nigh Frisk. After that, everypony went back to the palace. They decided to celebrate. The three foals just learned how to fly. //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing Up (Part 3): Magic Lessons //-------------------------------------------------------// Growing Up (Part 3): Magic Lessons The three foals are sleeping soundly. The previous flying lessons tired them out, especially Dusk. Today was the day they learned ow to perform magic. Unfortunately, Dusk can't perform magic, due to him being a bat-pony. "Wakey-wakey my little ponies." said Rose Heart. No response was given, they were still all soundly asleep. "Come on now, you would not want to miss magic lessons would you?" said Rose Heart. At this point, Luna and Celestia were slightly awake. Dusk however, pretended to sleep. "Do we have to?" asked a half awake Luna. "Yes, being alicorns, you and your sister need to learn how to control your magic." said Rose Heart. "Come on Dusk, wake up." said Luna, nudging Dusk in an futile attempt to wake him up. "But what about Dusk? He doesn't have a unicorn horn." said Celestia pointing to Dusk's head. Dusk grumbled. "Do you really need to remind me Tia?" said an annoyed Dusk, still under their blanket. "Dusk, even though you can't perform magic, you need to study about spells." said Rose Heart. "Why would I need to know that?" asked Dusk. "As soon as magic lessons are over, you three will be old enough to join regular classes. Magic is just one of the subjects you need to take." said Rose Heart in a matter-of-factly manner. "Fine." said Dusk, now fully awake. With that, the three fillies, accompanied by Rose Heart, walked over to the MCCTF. The MCCTF or Magic Control Center for Talented Foals was where young royalty would learn to control their magic. This center can only be opened by magic. The spell to open the door was fairly simple, every unicorn or alicorn in the royal family to be born has the instinct to perform the spell. Celestia entered first, casting her very first spell. Luna followed second, using her magic to open the door, and perform her first spell. "Hey how do I enter?" asked Dusk unable to enter due to the lack of magic. "I think I can help." Dusk looked behind him. "Queen Sunshine, what are you doing here?" asked Dusk. "I wanted to watch your magic training," Queen Sunshine said in reply, "Besides, I'm your trainer." "I'm not going to cast any spells, I'm not a unicorn or an alicorn." said Dusk. "Still, you ARE going to study are you not?" asked Queen Sunshine. "Yes, but-" said Dusk, only to be cut short by the Queen. "Very well then, I have changed the spell to open the door, it will allow you to enter anytime. All you have to do is flap your wings." said Queen Sunshine starting the spell. An orange aura surrounded Dusk, suddenly, the door was surrounded by the same aura. When everything was back to normal, Dusk looked around. "Did it work?" asked Dusk. "Why don't you find out?" said Rose Heart. Dusk started to flap his wings. *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* *flap* Suddenly, the doors opened. "It worked!" shouted Dusk, running towards his friends. Now that everypony was inside, magic training started. "Alright everypony, let's start with transformation of objects." said Queen Sunshine putting an orange in the front of the room. "All you have to do is think of the object you want the orange to turn into." said Rose Heart, demonstrating the spell. A red aura surrounded the orange. Suddenly, the orange turned into an apple. Celestia went first, she concentrated on her magic. A very light gold aura surrounded another orange. Suddenly, the orange turned into... "YAY, CAKE!!!" shouted Celestia as she proceeded to eat the cake. "Alright, who's next?" asked Queen Sunshine. "Ooh, ooh, me, me, pick me!" said an excited Luna. A moderate cobalt blue aura surrounded yet another orange. Suddenly, the orange turned into... "Hooway! Cookies!" said Luna running towards th pile of choco chip cookies, devouring every single one, except for one, which she offers to Dusk. "Thanks Lulu" said Dusk eating the cookie. "What about me? What do I do?" asked Dusk. "You could read these spell books." said Queen Sunshine. "Oh, okay." said Dusk slightly disappointed. Three months passed and Luna and Celestia got better at controlling their magic. Dusk on the other hand, was getting bored of reading spell books. While Luna and Celestia could perform almost any spell, Dusk memorized almost every spell Celestia and Luna could perform. Even though Dusk hated reading about spells, Dusk really liked studying about defense and protective spells. In a few days, the foals would take their final magic exam, any pony who passes the exam will receive a special prize. "Dusk, Dusk, are you awake?" asked Luna. "Huh? Who dat?" said a still sleepy Dusk. "Dusk, it's the day of our magic exam." said Luna, clearly excited. "Five more minutes." said Dusk. "DUSK WAKE UP!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "OKAY, OKAY, I'M UP!" repplied Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "Let's go!" replied Luna, happy at her accomplishment. "Do you want me to carry you again?" asked Dusk. "Nah, I'm fine, I need to practice levitation anyway." said Luna. And with that, Luna and Dusk proceeded to go to the MCCTF testing area. "Hey, where's Tia?" asked Dusk, wondering why Celestia wasn't with them. "She had to practice teleportation." replied Luna, still levitating. Soon enough they arrived. "After you milady." said Dusk flapping his wings to open the door for Luna. "Why thank you good sir." replied Luna, giggling with a slight blush. Dusk flapped his wings some more to let himself in. "Okay my little ponies, to finish the test, you need to make it past this maze. The maze is filled with obstacles that will test your magic." said Queen Sunshine. "Dusk, you on the other hand will do a different maze, this maze will test your ability of knowing what spell to use. This means you will have the same challenge as Celestia and Luna, except that you don't need to cast spells. All you have to do is think of what spell to do, since the maze is magical, the maze will react to the spells you think of." said Rose Heart. "You will not have the ability to use your wings." said Queen Sunshine. "If you want to fly, you would have to use a levitation spell." said Rose Heart. "Whomever accomplishes this test will receive the ability to cast one spell that you currently not perform. However, if you fail the test you will forget the spell that you last used." said Queen Sunshine. "Dusk, since you have not performed any spells, if you fail, you will lose your ability to fly." Celestia went first. Her first challenge was to sneak past some trolls, Celestia used an invisibility spell. Next up, she had to unlock a door whose lock was way higher than what she could reach, Celestia used a levitation spell on the key to lift it up to the lock. After a few more challenges, Celestia passed. "Celestia, you passed. What spell would you like to learn?" asked Queen Sunshine. "I want to be able to raise the sun, just like you." replied Celestia. "Very well." said Queen Sunshine, granting Celestia the ability to raise the sun. Luna went next. Her first task was to get past some baby dragons, Luna used a transformation spell so that she could pass without bothering the dragons. Secondly, Luna had to cross a pool of lava, she used a fireproof spell to safely cross. After tons more spells, Luna finally passed. "My dear Luna, what spell would you like to learn?" asked Queen Sunshine. "I want to learn how to raise the moon and stars  like daddy does!" exclaimed an excited Luna. "Of course." said Queen sunshine, giving Luna the ability to raise the moon and stars. "Dusk you are next." said Rose Heart. "O-ok." said a nervous Dusk. Dusk's first challenge was to phase through a wall, Dusk immediately thought of the intangibility spell. The magic wall reacted to his thought and let Dusk pass. Second up, Dusk had to stop an ambush by teenage dragons, Dusk thought of using a time freeze spell, sure enough, the dragons froze mid-air. After tons of challenges more, Dusk finally passed. "Dusk, you passed the test, what spell would you like to learn?" asked Queen Sunshine. "But you don't have a horn, how would you cast it?" asked Luna. "It's a spell that shields any amount of ponies from any magic except their own. I created it so that I could protect my loved ones." said Dusk. "I will grant you this power." said Queen Sunshine. Celestia was still asleep. Unknown to her, Luna and Dusk had woke up hours before her to prepare a special surprise. "Luna, do you really think this is a good idea?" asked Dusk. "Yup, just stick to the plan." replied Luna. The young mare and stallion sneaked towards Celestia. As soon as they were about an inch away from Celestia, Luna booped her nose. Celestia just continued to sleep. "Okay Dusk, this is it." said Luna. They crept closer to Celestia. Luna started to count "Three, two, one!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIA!" shouted Luna and Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Gahhhhh!" screamed Celestia as she jumped out of bed. "Why?!?" asked Celestia. "It's your sixteenth birthday silly." said Luna. "You have tons of preparations to do before the party tonight." said Dusk. "Like what?" asked Celestia. "Decorations, a theme, guests, menu, party favors, and cake." replied Dusk. "AND YOUR ESCORT!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Fine, after breakfast I'll chose my cake, then I'll decide on the rest. And with that, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia walked over to the dining hall. They all ate a balanced breakfast of hay, apples, carrots, and milk. After breakfast, they proceeded to bathe. After their bath, they all went to see the royal chef. "Make my cake sixteen stories high!" said Celestia. "For the menu, I want hay, apples, celery, carrots, and ice cream." said Celestia. "And cookies!" said Luna "Fine and cookies." said Celestia They then proceeded to the royal designer to make Celestia's dress. Celestia was measured for her gown. "I want it pink to match my mane." said Celestia. "Uh sis, your mane isn't pink." said a confused Luna. "What?!?" asked a shocked Celestia. "It has blue, green, and pink now." said Dusk. "Yeah, and it's all wavy and shiny." said Luna. "How did that happen?" asked Celestia. "I read in one magic book that a mare's mane can change when they become sixteen due to more magic." said Dusk. "Yay, so my mane will become pretty next year!" said Luna. After getting her pink, green, and blue dress, Celestia walked to the party hall. They prepared the decorations, the theme, and chose the guests to invite. "Okay Tia, the only thing left is your-" said Dusk only to be cut by Luna again. "YOUR ESCORT!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Oh yeah," said Celestia, "Dusk, would you be my escort?" "Huh, why Dusk?" asked Luna, with slight annoyance in her voice. "Well, he is the only stallion I know other than our parents." replied Celestia. "Sure, I guess." said Dusk "Okay that's everything then." said Celestia. They then proceeded to their room to prepare for the party. "Dusk, may I speak with you in private please?" said Luna. "Of course, what do-" "I thought you were going to be MY date to the party?!?" asked Luna, with an angry tone. "Yeah but-" "But nothing! You aren't going to leave me are you?" said Luna, all anger gone, now replaced with a sad and disappointed tone. "Of course not, I'm just going to lead Celestia down the stairs then give her her first dance. After that, we could dance and have dinner." said Dusk. "Okay, just promise that next year, you will be my escort AND my date. You are going to be my first dance, and I will be your first dance, got that mister?!?" said Luna. "Okay." said Dusk. And with that, Dusk and Luna got changed for the party. The party is starting. Music played as Celestia walked down the stairs in her dress accompanied by Dusk, who was wearing a tuxedo, and followed by Luna, who was wearing a cute blue dress that showed of her flank. "And now, the Princess' first dance." said the emcee. Music plaed as Dusk danced with Celestia. Luna was watching in the corner, slightly jealous. After what seemed like an eternity to Luna, Celestia's first dance finally ended. Dusk made his way to Luna, who was waiting impatiently. "Finally, now you and I can-" Luna was cut short by her own father. "Dusk, thank you for being Celestia's escort, she looked so happy when you two were dancing." said King Moonlight. "Thank you sir," replied Dusk ", I really need to go." "Sure." said King Moonlight. Luna was annoyed now. She was quietly sipping at some punch. "May I have this dance milady." "I'm not dancing with anyone tonight." said Luna, not even looking at who was talking. "Ok then Lulu, I guess I'll just dance with Tia again." "Huh, Dusk?" said Luna, "Wait, no, I didn't know it was you." "I'm just kidding Lulu, now, would you like that dance milady?" said Dusk. "I would like nothing more." said Luna, taking Dusk's hoof and giving him a kiss on the cheek. The two ponies danced and danced until their hoofs told them to stop. After their dance, they had dinner. They shared a bowl of hay noodles for dinner. They then shared an apple, then a carrot. They then proceeded to dessert. They took a giant slice of cake and ate it. After the party, they got all the leftover cookies and got their party favors. After the party, they met up with Celestia. "So how was your night you two?" asked Celestia. "It was lovely, wasn't it Lulu?" asked Dusk giving Luna a kiss on the cheek, like she did to him before. "Yeah." said Luna who was furiously blushing. "How was yours?" asked Dusk. "IT WAS GREAT!" shouted Celestia in  the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. Celestia has not forgotten how Luna and Dusk woke her up for her birthday. Celestia has planned for revenge since that day. She was going to use a confetti blaster to wake them up. "It's payback time, time for me to wake you up just like you woke me up last year, except with a confetti blaster, HA HA HA HA HA!" said Celestia. Celestia sneaked up to where Luna and Dusk cuddled up to each other. "Three, two,one..." *BLAM* "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LULU AND DUSK!" shouted Celestia in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Huh?" said Celestia. "How are you two still asleep?" said a confused Celestia. "BECAUSE WE KNEW YOU WOULD DO THIS, SO WE WOKE UP EARLIER THAN USUAL TO SCARE YOU!" shouted Luna and Dusk simultaneously in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Gahh!" screamed Celestia. "Oh and by the way..." said Dusk. *BLAM* "Suprise" said Luna using a confetti blaster on her sister. After Celestia calmed down, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia walked over to the dining hall. "We would like cookies, hay noodles, and apples please." said Dusk. "Certainly." replied the chef. "Haha, you should have seen your face when we scared you!" said Luna towards Celestia. "Yeah very funny!" said Celestia in a sarcastic tone. "Oh come on Tia, let it go, what's done is done." said Dusk in the most mature manner he could do. "But you looked so silly!" said Dusk in his regular tone. "Haha, Dusk is right, you did look silly!" said Luna. "Breakfast is served." said the chef. "Thank you." said Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. "Hey Luna, remember how Tia's mane got wavy and shiny last year during her sixteenth birthday?" asked Dusk cheewing his apple. "Yes why?" asked Luna, eating a cookie. "Your mane is wavy and shiny now too." said Celestia eating her hay noodles. "IT IS?!?!" said Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. "Yup, it's prettier than usual." said Dusk. "Why thank you!" said Luna, in the classiest tone she had, with a slight blush. After breakfast, they made their way to the royal designer. Luna designed her dress first. As Luna and Celestia walked inside, Dusk followed, only to be stopped by the royal designer. "You cant see Luna in her dress before the party, she wants it to be a surprise." said the royal designer. "Fine, I'll wait outside." said Dusk. Inside the designing room, Luna was choosing a color for her dress. "What do you think dusk will like more Tia, blue or purple?" asked Luna. "Knowing him, he would love anything you choose. Heck, you could wear the ugliest costume ever and he would still love you." said Celestia. "But, if you really want me to pick, I'd go with purple." "Thanks sis." said Luna. With that the designer got the purple fabric out. "Sis, could you make my dress show off my flank better than the dress that I wore last year at your party?" asked Luna. "Sure, Ms. Designer make it so." said Celestia. "Of course." said the designer. "Anything else you wanted to add?" asked the designer. "Could you make it strapless?" said Luna. "Of course, your dress will be ready in a few hours." said the designer. With Luna's dress ready, it was Dusk's turn to get a suit. "Lulu, wait outside, I want my suit to be a surprise." "Fine, after you get your suit it will be time to decorate the party room." said Luna. "Could you make my suite blue with purple highlights?" asked Dusk. "Sure, anything else?" asked the designer. "Uhm, could you add a tie? Oh, could you also make my suite long-sleeved with cuffs?" asked Dusk. "Sure, should I add wing cuffs too?" asked the designer. "Yeah, if you could add anything that would make me look better that would be great, thanks." said Dusk. "Sure, your suite will be ready before the party." said the designer. After designing their clothes, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia walked over to the party room to design it. "Okay, what theme do you think a good theme would be Lulu?" "How about 'A Dusk Knight and the Princess of the Night'?" said Luna, giggling at her idea. "I like it." said Dusk. They designed the room with blue, purple, and black shades. They hung streamers, inflated yellow and white balloons, and even got a disco ball. They also spread silver glitter and star cutouts. After much decorating, the entire room looked like the night sky. "Something is missing." said Luna. "How about this?" asked Dusk pulling s lever. Suddenly the roof opened up and was replaced by a see-through glass window. "Now at the party you can see the actual night sky." said Dusk. "I could also use my magic to raise the moon." said Luna. After decorating the room, they proceeded to walk to the kitchen. "Okay, I want cookies, cake, hay noodles, hay fries, fruit salad, apples, apple cider, zap apple jam, carrots, and ice cream." said Dusk. "Anything you wanted to add Lulu?" asked Dusk. "Could you make the cake a twin towered cake with sixteen layers each?" asked Luna. "Sure." said the chef. "Add cookies to it." said Dusk. "Thanks Dusk." whispered Luna. The time for the party was nearing. Luna and Dusk separated for now. Luna went to her balcony to get dressed. Dusk went to his balcony to put on his suit. Trumpets started to play. "Announcing the arrival of Sir Dusk Chaser and Princess Luna." said Night Frisk being the emcee of the event. Dusk appeared at the left side of the room wearing his suit and a royal guard helmet that he customized to better suit his bat wings. On the right was Luna. She was wearing her incredibly hot dress and a crown that she received from her parents. She was also wearing her mane in a ponytail. "It is time for the Princess of the Night to raise the moon." said Dusk while Luna was positioning herself. She concentrated on her magic. She focused on the moon. The sun had been set prior to the party. A bluish aura surrounded the moon, the moon suddenly rose. Coincidentally the moon was a full moon tonight. "Now the Princess of the Night will be escorted by the Dusk Knight to the dance floor to each have their first dance as a stallion and a mare." said Night Frisk. *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap*  *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* Everypony clapped as Luna and Dusk made their way to the center from their respective balconies. Dusk bowed to Luna then took her hoof and made their way to the dance floor. "Lulu, you are smoking hot!" whispered Dusk. "Thanks Dusk, you don't look too bad yourself." whispered Luna, giggling and blushing at Dusk's comment. Soon they arrived at the center of the dance floor. Music started to play. Dusk took one of Luna's hooves in his own. Luna put her other hoof on Dusk's shoulder. Dusk then put his free hoof on Luna's waist. As the music continued to play, Luna moved closer to Dusk and they started to dance. They loved the feeling of each other holding each other, how close they were to each other. After what felt like hours of dancing, they were slightly upset that their dance ended. Dusk led Luna to their table to take their seat. "Fellow ponies, today we celebrate both my youngest daughter's and her knight's sixteenth birthday." started King Moonlight. "Today they change from just a mare and a colt, to a princess and her knight." continued King Moonlight. "Tonight, I would like to give both of them a special gift. To my second daughter, I give her this necklace. It is filled with some of the magic that the moon gave me long ago, as well as the honor of renaming the Night Royal Guards to the Lunar Guards. And to Dusk Chaser, only son of my best friends, best friend of both my daughters, and the first and so far only bat pony, I give to him full membership to the royal guards. He shall be an official Knight of the Lunar Guards. He shall be the new captain of the Lunar Guards." said King Moonlight ending his speech. "I too would like to bestow gifts upon them." said Rose Heart. "To Luna, I give you the magic to control the weather, so that in any point on life you may always have sunny times. To you my son, I bestow to you this armor. This is the armor your father wore when he first entered the royal guards, we changed it to better suit a bat pony. It is now filled with protection magic, It will automatically cast a shield when you do a defensive stance in front of another pony." said Rose Heart finishing her speech. After that, everypony ate dinner. Luna and Dusk shared a big bowl of hay noodles, after which they fed each other apples and carrots. After eating cookies with zap apple jam in between, they proceeded to cut their cake. They shared a big slice of cake so big that even Celestia couldn't finish. After eating, they shared a tall glass of apple cider. After dinner, everypony watched as Luna and Dusk shared one last dance for tonight. The music started to play. Dusk and Luna started to dance. Unlike the music from their first dance, the music was more romantic. Dusk and Luna moved so close to each other that their muzzles were touching. "Dusk, this night was just perfect." said Luna. "I know." said Dusk. "My Dusk Night, I want to tell you something." said Luna. "What is it my Princess of the Night?" asked Dusk. "I love you." said Luna blushing. "I love you too." said Dusk." And with that, the two shared their first lips-to-lips kiss. "DAWWWWW..." said the crowd when they saw Luna and Dusk kissing. After what seemed like an eternity, Luna broke the kiss. "WOW!" said Luna and Dusk. With that, they continued their dance with Luna and Dusk nuzzling each other. After they ended their dance, the party ended as well. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia went back to their NEW chambers. Their new chambers had two king size beds stuck together, a new library, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and three showers, a play room, a 90" flat screen 3D HD TV, a snack room, and even an indoor pool (Of course there are more stuff in their new room). "WOW!" they all shouted in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! After they all settled down, they all laid down. Celestia was on the left, Luna was on the Right, and Dusk was in between them. Luna cuddled as close as she could to Dusk and Dusk Spread his bigger wing over her. "Good night Lulu, Good night Dusk." said Celestia, already resting her head on him. "Good night  Tia." said Luna and Dusk simultaneously. "Good night my Dusk Knight." said Luna. "Good night my Princess of the Night." said Dusk. Luna and Dusk shared one more kiss before settling down. "Yes, we promise you will make lots of friends at school." said Queen Sunshine. "But we are already best friends, why would we want more?" asked Dusk. "Because, the more the merrier." answered Rose Heart. "And besides, friendship is magic." said King Moonlight. "You could even join a club if you want." said Night Frisk. "Fine, what time do our chariots leave?" asked Celestia. "Oh, you three have to fly to go to school." said Rose Heart. "WHAT?!? WHY?!?" shouted Luna, Dusk, and Celstia in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "We don't want ponies to be intimidated by your position." said King Moonlight. "But-" said Luna, Dusk, and Celestia, trying to protest. "No more protests, get dressed and pack your things." said Queen Sunshine. "Fine." said Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. After getting dressed, the three ponies flew, or tried to fly in Dusk's case, to their new school, Canterlot High. They were the first ponies to arrive. Since no one was there yet, they decided to look for their new classroom."Uhm... excuse me miss, do you now where class 425 is?" asked Dusk. "Yes, it is the class I'm going to look over." replied a white coated mare with blue and pink mane and tail. "Oh, are you our teacher?" asked Luna. "That depends, what are your names?" said the mare, taking out her list of students. "I am Princess Celestia of the Sun." said Celestia. "I am Princess Luna of the Moon." said Luna. "And I am Sir Dusk Chaser of the Lunar Guards." said Dusk. "Yes, you three are part of my class. I was on my way there, let's go. Oh, silly me I almost forgot, my name is Ms. Flora." said Ms. Flora. And with that, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia, led by their new teacher Ms. Flora, trotted all the way to room 425. "You three will be seated in the front row of the class. Your other 37 classmates will be arriving soon." said Ms. Flora pointing to the class clock. Soon enough, the class bell did ring *Kriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing*. "Hello class, please welcome your new classmates." said Ms. Flora to the class. "Hello, I am Princess Celestia of the Sun, you can just call me Celestia." said Celestia. "Greetings, I am Princess Luna of the Moon, call me Luna." said Luna. "Hey there, And I am Sir Dusk Chaser of the Lunar Guards, Dusk for short." said Dusk. After introductions, everypony went to their respective desks. They all listened as Ms. Flora told her lesson about the history of flight. After about two hour, it was recess. "And now class, please try to make friends with the new guys ok?" said Ms. Flora. Suddenly, a brownish-orange unicorn with a dark pinkish mane and tail named Starshine Moonlight walked up to them. "Hi there, my name is Starshine Moonlight, I am the daughter of Starswirl the bearded." Starshine said smiling at Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. Then, a grayish-black stallion unicorn with a red mane and tail walked up to them. "I am Silver Haze, and I think we could be great friends. You and me bro!" Silver Haze said giving Dusk a brohoof. With that the group of new friends walked to the cafeteria. The cafeteria always served a set meal for free. However, better meals or even additional food, which are optional, may be bought as well. "I know where we can sit." said Silver Haze leading them to the table where he and Starshine usually sat. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one of the cafeteria staff stopped them. "You three have a table reserved for you." the cafeteria staff said. "But, can we bring our friends?" asked Dusk. "Sure, I guess. It is your table." replied the cafeteria staff. And with that, they all walked to Luna, Dusk, and Celestia's reserved table and seats. "Wow, I didn't know that you guys have reserved seats." said Starshine. "Neither did we." said Luna. "Oh well, we should get our lunches first." said Dusk. "You mean the three lunches already on your table?" asked Silver Haze. "What the? I didn't get my lunch yet." said Celestia. "The staff was given orders to serve you the best meals we have." said a member of the staff. "Hey, where are you going?" asked Dusk when he noticed that their new friend walk away. "We're just going to get our lunches." said Starshine. "Wait! Sir, may you please give us two more of these meals?" asked Celestia. "I'm sorry, only you three can get these, they have to pay 500 bits to get these." said the staff member. "It's fine, we'll just get the free set meals." said Silver Haze. "No, I'll pay for it, please serve their meals here please." said Dusk, handing the staff member the 1,000 bits. "Yes sir." said the staff member walking away to get the two extra gourmet meals. "You didn't have to do that." said Starshine. "Yeah, we were ok with apples and carrots and a juice box." said Silver Haze. "Nah, it's fine, I have some extra bits with me anyway." said Dusk. "Yeah, besides, no friend of ours is going to go without cookies." said Luna. "Well then, thank you." said Starshine. And with that, they all ate their cake, cookies, hay fries, hay burgers, apple cider, and zap apple jam. After recess, they returned to their class for another discussion. //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 2): Picking a Club //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 2): Picking a Club "Hey Luna, what org are you going to join?" asked Dusk. "I don't know yet, I think I'll just join what Tia joins."  replied Luna, " How about you Silver Haze?" "I think I'll join the combat org, I really want to train physically as well as my magic." replied Silver Haze. "I think I'll join the cheerleaders org, what do you think Starshine, want to join me?" said Celestia. "Sure, Luna are you joining?" said Starshine Moonlight. "Sure, what do you think Dusk? How would I look in a cheer leader uniform?" said Luna giving Dusk a slightly seductive look. "I think you'll look hot, uh... I meant great, I think you'll look great. And, I think I'll join the combat org as well." replied Dusk. "Alright, bro! Come on let's sign up for our orgs." said Silver Haze. With that, the 5 school ponies split up to sign into their respective orgs. After a few days, all of their applications for orgs were accepted. Luna, Celestia and Starshine were accepted into the cheerleaders org. At their first meeting, Luna, Celestia, and Starshine received their uniforms. Their uniforms were white with a blue collar and a blue and yellow skirt. They practiced general stretching, cheers, dancing, and lots of other things. There were different groups. There was the Acrobatics Group, which accepted ponies agility and balance. There was also the Dazzle Group which focused on ponies who could create extras like sparkles or fireworks. Starshine was in the Dazzle group, being a unicorn, she used her magic to add pizazz. Luna and Celestia, being alicorns, used their Earth pony strength and Pegasus wings to excel at the Acrobatics group. They were to perform their first routine at the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest. "Hey Starshine, wouldn't it be great to cheer in the finals, watching an intense battle while cheering for the pony you think will win?" asked Luna. "I guess so. So, if Dusk and Silver Haze were in the finals who would you cheer for?" replied Starshine. "Even though they are both my friends, I really like Dusk, so... I'll cheer for him." said Luna with a slight blush. "Ok then, so I'll cheer for Silver Haze to even things out." said Starshine. "And I'll cheer for both!" said Celestia, who appeared out of nowhere. Dusk and Silver Haze were accepted into the combat org. At the first org meeting Dusk and Silver Haze were going to spar. Due to the fact that Silver Haze joined this org last school year, he won against Dusk. They were placed into different groups. Groups were separated into three. There was the Aerialite Group which was for those who excelled at flight and used it for dodging and swift attacks. There was also the Paladin Group, which focused on ponies who would use weapons or strength. Lastly there was the Black Arts Group, which despite its own name is not solely based on black magic,  focused on ponies with multiple magic spells on hand.  Dusk was in the Paladin group and Silver Haze was in the Black Arts group. Dusk was the only pony with wings in the Paladin group because he isn't that good a flier despite still being able to fly. The pairings for the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest were in. "Hey Silver Haze, wouldn't it be great to be in the finals, fighting an intense battle while getting cheered on by the cheerleaders org?" asked Dusk. "Yeah, just remember I won't hold back against you, so if I make you look bad in front of Luna, it isn't my fault." replied Silver Haze. "I won't hold back either so get ready. I'm gonna impress everybody to redeem myself from the shame of being the only winged pony in the paladin group." said Dusk "Don't worry about it. I think you can still use your wings if you can handle it." said Silver Haze. "Thanks." said Dusk. Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze decided to meet up before org today. "So Dusk, How do you like our new uniforms?" asked Luna. "I think you look hot, I MEAN GREAT, you look great." said Dusk, wiping the saliva that dripped down his muzzle just a while ago. "And you girls don't look bad as well." "Yeah, good luck practicing the cheer for the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest." said Silver Haze. "Thanks." said Celestia. "So, Dusk, want to walk me to the cheer leaders org again?" asked Luna, slightly shaking her hips. "Sure." said Dusk, saliva starting to drip down his muzzle again. Luna giggled when she noticed this and used her tail to wipe of Dusk's spit from his muzzle. "Oh brother!" said Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze rolling their eyes. And with that, they all made their way to their respective orgs. The next few weeks were spent for org practice. Luna, Celestia, and Starshine were cheering all the time about any random topic. Dusk and Silver Haze on the other hand were sparring with each other. Dusk would always lose to Silver Haze, due to the fact that Silver Haze's magic was too much for him. Eventually, the day before the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest arrived. Dusk and Silver Haze decided to take one last spar. Luna, Celestia and Starshine decided to practice by cheering while Dusk and Silver Haze sparred.  "Sparring is an awesome thing, go on boys keep practicing!" cheered Luna, Celestia, and Starshine. "Thanks a lot girls, the cheering really helps." said Dusk. "Yeah, come on Dusk lets begin!" said Silver Haze. The sparring began. Silver Haze shot a lightning bolt at Dusk, Dusk used his speed to dodge the bolt. Dusk charged at Silver Haze, Silver Haze countered by teleporting out of the way. Dusk flew up as high as he could,  only to be stopped by Silver Haze who used a magic rope to stop him. Dusk used his strength to pull Silver Haze up into the air. As soon as Silver Haze was air born, Dusk threw a punch at him. The punch was strong enough to send them both hurdling to the ground. Silver Haze conjured up a matress to cusion their fall. "Good practice, you actually managed to hit me. However, it will take more than that to beat me in the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest." said Silver Haze. "Don't worry, I have got more tricks up my sleeve." replied Dusk. And with that, everypony went home to rest. //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 3): Annual Combat Org Spar Fest //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 3): Annual Combat Org Spar Fest The day of the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest is here. Everypony was either practicing, or getting seated. Today was special. It was special enough that King Moonlight, Queen Sunshine, Rose Heart, and Night Frisk decided to watch. As soon as everypony settled down, the competitors and cheerleaders went onstage. They all sang the Canterlot anthem led by Night Frisk, since he was the captain of the Solar Guards and the event was held in the morning. After the anthem, the cheer squad performed the opening cheer. You could see mares flipping, twirling, stretching, and twisting. There were also a fireworks display courtesy of the Dazzle group. After the ceremonies, the competition began. "The rules are simple," said the referee, "Each contestant can use any form of combat he knows. When an opponent faints, is knocked out of the ring, or is deemed unfit for battle, the battle ends. During the competition, members of the Paladin group may not use their weapons." Finally, the match-ups were shown. There were a total of 5 battles. There were a total of 32 contestants, 11 from the paladin group, 11 from the dark arts group, and 10 from the aerialite group. The first match was Silver Haze versus a stallion from the Aerialite group. Silver Haze just used a spell that prevented flying. Not having trained for flightless combat, all the stallion did was throw a measly punch. Silver Haze dodged it and used a blast of magic too send his opponent out of the ring. Dusk's first match began as well. He was fighting a stallion from the Dark Arts group. Being a member of the paladin group, Dusk was taught how to defend against magic. The stallion launched a beam of magic that turned into lightning. Dusk used a trick on defending against lightning, he struck his hooves on the ground and spread his wings. All the lightning was redirected into the ground. Dusk charged at his opponent and kicked him with his hind legs. His opponent was knocked out of the ring. The rest of the pairings were already finished. The battles were intense, each competitor was fighting harder and harder. Cheering and clapping could be heard everywhere. Soon enough, the fourth match began. Silver Haze's match began. He was facing off against a member of the Black Arts group like him. His opponent used a powerful blast of magic. Silver Haze absorbed all this magic using a magic draining spell. He used this energy to form a magical serpent that wrapped around his opponent, restricting all movement. Silver Haze then used his own magic to release a gigantic beam of lightning. His opponent was knocked unconscious. Dusk's fourth match began, he was facing of against a member of the aerialite group. "Hey look, it's the only winged pony not in the aerialite group." taunted Dusk's opponent. "So what?!? I'm still going to win." said Dusk. "Yeah right." said the pegasus rushing towards Dusk with a punch ready. As soon as the pegasus was near Dusk, he threw the punch. The punch made direct contact. Dusk was now injured. "Ha! Loser!" said the pegasus. Suddenly, Dusk was behind the pegasus. Dusk flew as high as his wings could take. Dusk dived straight down into his opponent and gave him a harder punch. "Who's the loser now?" said Dusk claiming victory. Soon enough, the final match line-ups were revealed. "Our final combatants are Dusk Chaser from the paladin group, and Silver Haze from the dark arts group." said the referee. Before the last match, the cheer squad did a performance. After the show, Luna, Celestia, and Starshine approached their friends. "Good luck guys." said Celestia. "Yeah may the best stallion win." said Starshine. "Good luck Dusk." said Luna giving him a small kiss on the cheek. "Thanks girls." said Silver Haze. "Yeah thanks, especially you Luna." said Dusk, whispering the second part. The final match began. Dusk was fighting against Silver Haze. A member of the Paladin Group versus a member of the Black Arts Group facing off. "Remember, I won't go easy on you." said Silver Haze. "I know, I won't either." said Dusk. The match began. "Let's make this more interesting," said Silver Haze, "This match can only be won by knockout, no ring-outs." Silver Haze cast a spell around the ring which prevented ring-outs. As soon as the spell was finished Dusk threw a punch at Silver Haze, only to miss. Silver Haze conjured up 8 magical limbs that released an infinite amount of punches. Dusk used his speed to dodge every punch. Dusk flew as high as he could. He used his wing strength to blow up a hurricane. The hurricane surrounded Silver Haze. Silver Haze was lifted up into the air. Dusk flew on top of the hurricane. He used all his strength to charge at him. The hurricane enhanced Dusk's speed. Dusk punched Silver Haze so hard that he was blown into the ground. Silver Haze teleported on top of Dusk and used a magic blast to attack Dusk. Dusk was blown into the ground. Silver Haze conjured up 8 limbs again and repeatedly punched Dusk. This time, every punch hit its mark. Wanting to end the fight, Silver Haze used his most powerful spell. "TAKE THIS!" shouted Silver Haze hurling a greyish red compressed ball of magic at Dusk. "What the?!?" said Dusk, unsure how to defend. "DUSK, NO!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE feeling worried about Dusk. Suddenly, Dusk remembered that he could perform ONE spell. This was the spell he learned during magic training when he was still a colt. This was the spell he designed for only bat ponies to use. Dusk flapped his wings, which was how he would perform his spell. Suddenly, a dark bluish purple aura surrounded Dusk. As the ball of magic got closer to Dusk, the aura that surrounded him formed into a protective crystal-like ball. *BOOM* Smoke filled the sparring room. "Oh no, no, no, no, no, Dusk are you alright?!?" said Luna. As the smoke cleared, it revealed Silver Haze still standing and Dusk standing as well! The ball of magic was absorbed by the crystals that surrounded Dusk. "Yeah I'm alright! Thanks for asking said Dusk." Everypony watching cheered. "So what, just cause you can perform one spell despite being a bat-pony, doesn't mean I'm letting you win!" said Silver Haze. "Well then, I guess I'll just send back your attack then!" said Dusk. The crystal ball that surrounded him glowed. All the magic absorbed by the last attack was formed into a ball which hovered over Dusk. The crystals that had surrounded Dusk surrounded the red and dark bluish purple ball of magic. Dusk launched this ball of magic at Silver Haze. "Uh oh!" said Silver Haze conjuring up a magical shield. The shield was completely obliterated. A gigantic amount of magic had struck Silver Haze. Silver Haze was defenseless and was knocked unconscious. Dusk had won the match. //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 4): Bully Trouble //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 4): Bully Trouble Class went on as usual today. Unfortunately... "SOMETHING IS WRONG!" shouted Dusk. "What are you talking about? asked Luna a little worried. "Yeah, we're just taking our lunch." said Silver Haze chewing on his apple. "I don't know, I just feel weird, like something is going to happen." said Dusk. "Nothing could possibly go wrong." said Celestia. "Hey, don't say that Celestia, when you say that in a story or cartoon, something is bound to go wrong." said Starshine, breaking the fourth wall in the process. Suddenly a grayish stripped unicorn burst through the doors. "I told you so!" said Dusk and Starshine simultaneously. "Get out of my seat losers!" said the stripped unicorn to Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze. "This is our seat." said Luna. "Get out before I beat the stuffing out of you!" said the stripped unicorn. "Hey, that's not how you talk to a lady!" said Dusk. "Oh, so you want to fight huh?!?" said the stripped unicorn. "Not really, just find another seat, this one is ours." said Dusk. "Yeah, who are you anyway?" asked Celestia. "Well if you really need to know, my name is Ralph." said Ralph. The 5 ponies tried to hold back a laugh and ended up snickering. "What's so funny huh?!?" asked Ralph. "Nothing. Now if you excuse us we would like to eat our lunch." said Dusk. "Get out of my chair!" said Ralph throwing Dusk of his chair and into a wall. "Hey!" shouted Luna, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze. "What you gonna do about it huh?!?" taunted Ralph. "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!?" asked the principal. "This guy named Ralph just popped out of nowhere and threw Dusk out of our chair." said Luna. "TO. MY. OFFICE. NOW!" said the principal. "I'll get you for this LU-NA!" said Ralph, walking out of the room. "What the heck was that?" asked Dusk. "I have no idea." said Silver Haze. "His name is Ralph, we know that. He is an exchange student from the everfree forest. Most ponies call him Ralph the Bully. He was expelled from his old school due to all the parents that complained about bullying." said Starshine. "How do you know that?" asked Celestia. "Just a hunch." said Starshine grinning. After lunch, Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze walked into their class. "Good thing that lunch and recess is the only time we see him." said Celestia. They all walked into the room and... "OH COME ON!" shouted the 5 ponies upon seeing that Ralph was seated in a new chair in the corner of the room. "What are the odds he ended up in our class." asked Silver Haze. "Actually, to add to the drama, the author of this fanfic placed him in this class, so the odds are 10 out of 10." said Starshine. "What does that even mean?" asked Luna, unaware that Starshine just broke the fourth wall. The five ponies decided to just ignore Ralph. Soon enough classes began. "Alright class, pair up so we can begin our activity." said Ms. Flora. "Dusk, you always get paired with Luna, pair up with somepony else." Dusk decided to just pair up with Celestia, Starshine paired up with Silver Haze, and Luna was left without a partner. "Ms. Flora, I don't have a partner." said Luna. "Let's see," said Ms. Flora, looking for a pony without a partner, "Oh! Luna, you can pair up with Ralph." "WHAT?!?" shouted Luna and Dusk simultaneously. "Either that or you fail." said Ms. Flora. "Fine." said Luna as she approached her partner. As soon as everypony was settled, they began the activity. All they were going to do was to bake a pie. Thinks were going surprisingly ok. Soon enough all their pies were baked. *riiiiiiiiing* The bell rang signaling the end of class. Everypony was going home when Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze heard Ralph's voice. "Hey LU-NA, I got a surprise for you." They turned around and suddenly, a pie struck Luna right in the face. "HAHAHAHAHA!" said Ralph. Luna started to cry because of the embarrassment. "What you gonna do about it crybaby?" said Ralph as people started surrounding them, wanting to know what was happening. "HOW DARE YOU!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "You wanna fight, huh loser?!?" said Ralph. "BRING IT!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! Everypony went outside to the sparing grounds. Ralph used his  magic to blast Dusk with Lightning. Dusk used the same trick he used during the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest to deflect the lightning. Dusk flew as high as he could but fell due to the multiple times he flew this month during the Annual Combat Org Spar Fest. "A winged pony that can't fly?!? HAHAHAHAHA!" jeered Ralph. Ralph used a spell that made rocks immobilize Dusk. Ralph used another lightning spell. This time, it made direct contact with Dusk. *gasp* The other school ponies gasped. Ralph thought of what to do next. Then a plan came to his mind. "Let's watch as your friend Luna gets zapped like you!" said Ralph. Quickly rocks immobilized Luna and kept other ponies away from her. "Let me out!" screamed Luna. Ralph released the biggest lightning bolt he ever created and aimed it straight for Luna. Dusk struggled to get free but only ended up freeing his wings. Quickly Dusk performed the only spell he could perform. Just before the lightning bolt hit Luna, a ball made out of crystals surrounded her. The crystals quickly absorbed the magic lightning bolt. Dusk used some of this magic to blast the rocks that surrounded him and Luna. Dusk used whatever power left to attack Ralph. The crystals now surrounded Dusk's front hooves. Dusk charged at Ralph and gave him multiple lightning punches. "OK, OK, I GIVE UP!" said Ralph. Dusk stopped and ran towards Luna who seemed to be sleeping. "Luna, what's wrong?" asked Dusk. Luna didn't reply. "I think some lightning hit her before your spell was completed." said Celestia. "Let's bring her home." said Dusk. As they were carrying Luna home, they heard Ralph speak. "I'm sorry, I just wanted people to notice me. Could you ever forgive me?" said Ralph. After moments of thinking, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze agreed. "Thank you." said Ralph. Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze and everypony else were busy studying for their upcoming exams. The exams were supposed to be the hardest exams ever in the history of Canterlot High. There were two parts of the exam. The first part was a physical hands-on test where each pony will be given different tasks to complete depending on their type and abilities. For example, a unicorn will be mainly tested on magic spells and potions. Pegasi  on the other hand will be mainly tested on flight and agility. Earth however will be mainly tested on strength and endurance. Alicorns, in other words Luna and Celestia seeing as there are no other alicorn that is still in high school, will be tested on all three. Dusk, being a bat-pony will be tested like a pegasus and an earth pony. The second part of the exam is the most boring part. The second part of the exam is the written exam. The written exam is made of 100 questions. These questions may be about equestrian history, flight patterns, magic spells, and other topics. The exam also includes an essay about a random topic that the student draws randomly before the exam. The exam has a total of 150 points. The exam has a passing score of 80% or 130 points. Back in Canterlot castle Luna, Dusk, and Celestia were studying, or at least they did a while ago. Now they are gently cuddling up to each other and sleeping. After a few minutes they woke up and began studying again. "I'M BOOOOORRRREEED!" said Luna. "But we have to finish our studies." said Dusk. "But the topics for our exam are sooooo HARD!" said Luna. "Remember the school rule, if you don't pass the final exam, you can't join prom." said Celestia. "WHAT?!?" said Luna. "But that means if either I or Dusk fail, we can't go to prom together?" asked Luna. "Unfortunately yes." said Celestia. "Don't worry, if only Tia and I can go, I'll take her out so we both have dates." teased Dusk. "Nooooo, Dusk wous wiw gos to pwom wid mwe!" (translation: Nooooo, Dusk you will go to prom with me!) said Luna in her most adorable voice ever. "I'm just kidding Lulu, come on let's study together." said Dusk. With that, they all went back to studying. Every day of every week they would study. During class they would take their regular lessons. During recess and lunch they would meet up with Starshine and Silver Haze to study, after eating of course. After dismissal, they would stay a while longer to study even more. After the school day, they would go home to the castle and study more. After doing studies, they would cuddle up and sleep like they always did. After a few more weeks, exam day finally arrived. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia are still asleep. Suddenly *riiiiing* their school bell rang. They rushed to get dressed and flew as fast as they could. They flew so fast that the ground itself moved. Luckily they made it just in time. The tests were distributed. Apparently the written test went first. *tic* *toc* *tic* *toc* *tic* *toc* Everypony was taking their test. The room was so silent that you could hear their blood flowing through their tense veins. Sweat dripped from every face. The smell of sweaty stallions and mares was everywhere. Every so ofter you could hear somepony whisper "Dear pony Jesus why?!?" Somepony even shouted "I CAN'T HANDLE THIS JUNK ANYMORE!" at the top of his lungs. The time to finish the exams was halfway done. *tic* *toc* *tic* *toc* *tic* *toc* More time was spent, eventually only 5 minutes were left. *riiiiing* "The written exam is over! Please proceed to the room assigned to you for the hands-on test." said Ms. Flora. Starshine and Silver Haze went to the Unicorn Room, while Luna, Dusk, and Celestia went to the Special Room. Starshine and Silver Haze had to accomplish different spells and perform different magical tasks. Luna and Celestia had to fly an obstacle course, perform spells, and had to carry different weights. Dusk had to fly an obstacle course and carry different weights. First was the spell test. Starshine was able to blend into the surroundings and change her appearance to get through a horde of dragons. Silver Haze was able to create a mist that blocked his attackers sight and was able to cast a sleep spell. Luna and Celestia were tested on their ability to raise and lower the moon and sun respectively. Dusk, even though only knowing one spell was tested on his defense spell. Next was the flight test. Luna and Celestia was able to pass the exam except Dusk, who bumped into too many obstacles due to his wing problems. Dusk had to pass both his written test and strenght test if he wanted to pass the whole test and join prom. Lastly, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia had to take their strength test. Princess Luna was first. Luna had to lift a series of weights. Luna was able to lift up to 250 pounds. Luna then had to endure a waterfall that poured on top of her. Luna was able to endure 1,000,000 pounds of water pouring on top of her at 50 kilometers per hour. Princess Celestia went next. Celestia was able to lift twice as much as Luna. She was able to lift the 500 pound weight with ease. Celestia was also able to endure 1,250,000 gallons of water pouring on top of her at 90 kilometers per hour just like she was taking a shower. Dusk went last. Dusk had to lift a minimum of 750 pounds and endure 1,500,000 gallons of water pouring at 100 kilometers an hour to pass his strength test. Dusk struggled to lift the 600 pound weight but was finally able to lift the 750 pound weight. Dusk was almost thrown of the test grounds as soon as 1,450,000 gallons of water poured on him at 90 kilometers per hour but was able to withstand the 1,500,000 gallons of water at 100 kilometers per hour. Everypony was able to pass the hands-on test. Now if Dusk passed his written test everypony could go to prom. The next day the results were mailed to everypony's home. Everypony passed the written test EXCEPT for one! Unfortunately, Dusk failed the exam by a few points. //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 6): The Canterlot High Prom //-------------------------------------------------------// School Years (Part 6): The Canterlot High Prom "WHAAAAAT?!?" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE with tears starting to form in the corner of her eyes, "HOW CAN WE GO TO PROM IF YOU FAILED THE WRITTEN EXAM?!?" "I don't know Lulu, I'm sorry but I guess I should just stay home." said Dusk. "NOOOOO! IF I CAN'T GO TO PROM WITH YOU THE I WONT GO TO PROM!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE already starting to cry. "No, you go an enjoy yourself. I could just fetch you after the prom." said Dusk in the most calm way he could. "NO, IF WE CAN'T GO TO PROM TOGETHER... NOPONY CAN!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! Suddenly Luna was surrounded by a dark purple aura. Luna's coat turned black, she grew slightly taller than she used to be, she somehow managed to get a helmet, and her wings became sharper. "Woah! Lulu even though you are suddenly kinda hotter than usual, you should try to calm down." said Dusk. "NO! I WILL DESTROY CANTERLOT HIGH IF THEY DON'T RECONSIDER!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE, tears were clearly forming in the corner of her eyes. "Lulu, you can't ruin the prom for everypony just because I can't go. Please Lulu, calm down." said Dusk. "BUT-" said Luna only to be cut of by Dusk who pressed his lips onto hers. Luna and Dusk shared their most passionate kiss yet. As soon as Dusk broke the kiss, he held Luna's face and told her: "Don't worry Luna, we will still see each other after the prom." "Ok. I'm so sorry." said Luna nuzzling Dusk and changing back into her natural form. "It's ok, it's all going to be ok." said Dusk nuzzling Luna back. When Luna finally calmed down she and Celestia got dressed for prom. "Dusk..." Luna said. "What is it Luna?" Dusk asked. "H-how do I l-l-look?" Luna said stepping out of her room revealing her prom dress. "OH MY PONY JESUS!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "I-is it t-t-that b-bad?" asked Luna starting to worry. "N-NO, YOU LOOK SO HOT!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE starting to drool. "REALLY?!?" asked Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! Luna was wearing a dark blue dress that reached until her knees and had a slit on the right side. Luna's dress was also sleeveless and strapless. Think of Luna's dress like Elsa's dress from frozen, except dark blue and has no sleeves and is strapless, in pony form. "Y-YEAH!" shouted Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "Dusk, could you do me a favor?" said Luna giving Dusk a seductive look. "Yes?" replied Dusk drooling again. "Could you accompany me in the ride to prom?" asked Luna in a really seductive voice." "Anything for you." said Dusk. "THANKS!" said Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE using her normal tone. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia trotted to their special carriage. Soon enough they arrived at the prom. "Bye Lulu." said Dusk obviously disappointed. "Bye Dusk." said Luna disappointed as well. "Come on let's go Lulu." said Celestia. "I'll wait for you girls here." said Dusk. "Ok." replied Luna. Luna and Celestia walked into the venue the school rented for prom. Celestia and Luna decided to eat dinner before anything else. After getting their food, they sat down at their reserved table. As they were eating Celestia noticed that Luna was sulking. "So, sad about Dusk failing his test?" asked Celestia trying to lessen the awkwardness of the situation. "Mmm Hmm." said Luna. "Do you have a date?" asked Celestia. "No," Luna said starting to cry, "do you?" "Oh yes! He's from another school his name is-" said Celestia being cut of by another voice. "DISCORD" said a draconequus that walked in. Celestia squealed as she saw her date. "I'm sorry Luna but I really want to dance now." said Celestia leading Discord to the dance floor. "Now what am I going to do?" thought Luna. "I know! If Dusk can't go to the prom, the prom will go to him!" thought Luna making her way to the exit. Dusk was quietly sitting outside waiting for the prom to end. The prom felt like an eternity. This was the longest time Dusk and Luna were away from each other, perhaps even the first. Dusk was sulking when suddenly he heard a voice. "Dusk." called the voice. Dusk looked up and saw that it was Luna who was calling. "Lulu, what are you doing outside? Aren't you going to enjoy the prom?" asked Dusk. "Oh Dusk, even if I join the prom, I will never enjoy it." said Luna. "But why?" asked Dusk. "Because you aren't there." said Luna planting a kiss on Dusk's lips. Music from the inside of the room was heard outside. (Play this for background music while reading the rest of the chapter.) "Why of course my Dusk Knight." said Luna. As Dusk held Luna's hoof, Luna held Dusk's shoulder and Dusk held Luna's waist. Luna and Dusk danced, and danced, and danced. They loved the moment. This dance they shared was better than what either of them expected from the prom. "Dusk." said Luna. "Yes?" asked Dusk. "I never want to stay away from you again." said Luna as she brought her head to Dusk's chest. "You never have to, I will always be there to protect and be with you." said Dusk reassuring Luna. "Thanks Dusk." said Luna. "I was born to protect you, not being there for you would go against my destiny." said Dusk. Dusk and Luna continued to dance. Dusk and Luna got closer and closer to each other as they danced. Luna got closer and nuzzled Dusk. Suddenly, Luna started to cry. "Is there anything wrong?" asked Dusk. "No, I'm just so happy. I hope this moment will never end." said Luna. "Me too." said Dusk. As they danced, Luna inched her muzzle closer and closer to Dusk's. Eventually, Luna and Dusk shared their 3rd kiss for the night. Luna and Dusk danced and danced and ponies, and other species,  from the inside saw that they were dancing outside. Many pairs went outside and joined Luna and Dusk's "private party." Celestia and Discord went outside and created fireworks. As Luna continued to dance, she used her magic to add more stars in the sky. Everypony was amazed at the sight, billions of stars visible from where they were. Dusk wanted to make this night even more special. Dusk stopped dancing and Flapped his wings. A crystal ball appeared out of thin air. Dusk used his strength to form the crystals into a heart shape. "Dusk, it's beautiful" said Luna. "Not as beutiful as you." said Dusk. Dusk took Luna in his arms and flew them to the top of the crystal heart. Luna and Dusk started to dance again on top of the crystal heart. Luna was getting her hair done, Dusk was taking a shower, and Celestia was picking her after-party dress. "Tia!" called Luna. "Yes Lulu, what is it?" answered Celestia. "I can't find my dress." said Luna. "Well I don't know where it is." said Celestia. Luna walked over to the changing room to speak to her sister. "Are you sure, it's the blue-" Luna was cut of by what she saw. "TIA!" "Oh, did you mean this dress?" asked Celestia in a mocking tone. "Give it to me now!" said Luna in a demanding tone. "But it looks so much better on me." said Celestia in the same tone as before. Luna tackled Celestia and the two started a tickle fight. Just at that moment Dusk finished his shower and walked outside in nothing but his towel. "Hey has anypony seen my-" Dusk was cut of when Luna and Celestia crashed into him. "Owww!" shouted Luna, Dusk, and Celestia simultaneously. "What the hay you two?!?" said Dusk rubbing his forehead. Luna and Celestia grinned mischievously. "Take this!" said Luna. Luna and Celestia then proceeded to include Dusk in their tickle fight. After a minute or so, they stopped. "We should really get ready now." said Dusk. And with that, Luna, Dusk and Celestia got changed. Celestia removed Luna's dress and put on her own. Everypony then put on their graduation gown or toga and their graduation cap. After getting ready, Luna, Dusk, and Celestia went to pick up Starshine and Silver Haze. "Hey guys! Are you ready to get our diplomas?" said Dusk. "Hey bro! Yeah I can't wait to get out of school and enjoy summer! replied Silver Haze. "Will you two be joining us at the after-party?" asked Celestia. "Wouldn't miss it for the world!" said Starshine. Everypony then proceeded to go to the Canterlot High auditorium for the graduating ceremony. After a few minutes of comosion, everypony settled down. At that moment Ms. Flora walked up on stage. "Alright everypony, settle down. Ladies and gentlecolts, I gladly present the graduates of class 425 batch 205. Everypony from class walked up on stage, recieved their diploma, took a bow, and walked off stage. After everypony got their Diploma, Ms. Flora announced the special awardees. "And now, the top 10 of the class." The awardees walked up on stage one by one from the top 10 to the valedictorian. Celestia was the valedictorian, Luna was the salutatorian, a pegasus called Blacklight was the honorable mention, a unicorn named Ravenger got the top 4 award, and Dusk got awarded with the top 5 award. After awarding the top 10 graduates, everypony sang their graduation song. (You may or may not want to pause the graduation march if you haven't done that yet. Princess Luna, Sir Dusk Chaser, Princess Celestia, Starshine Moonlight, and Silver Haze were now graduates! The after-party, held at Canterlot castle, was short but fun. Everypony ate cake, hay noodles, cookies, and any other food that the chefs could cook. Everypony then proceeded to dance and dance until they were too tired. After the after-party, evrypony went home to sleep. "Dusk." whispered Luna. "Yeah?" said Dusk. "What are you going to do after today?" asked Luna. "What I have always done." said Dusk. At this Luna was confused. "What do you mean?" asked Luna. "I will officially join the main branch of Lunar guards. I will always protect you and Tia so I planned to join the Lunar guards since I was a little colt. How about you Lulu?" asked Dusk. "I'm going to raise the moon every night in place of daddy." said Luna. "I'm going to take over raising the sun for mom." said Celestia "Ok then, to protect you both, I will have to form my own group of  Royal guards. I will make a group that will stake during stay awake at Dusk and sleep at Dawn, this means that i will stay awake most of the time." said Dusk. "Thanks dusk." said Luna and Celestia simultaneously. With that they all fell asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Another World //-------------------------------------------------------// Another World A few years after their graduation, Luna, Dusk, Celestia, Starshine, and Silver Haze got their dream jobs. Dusk formed the Eventide Guards that are trained in both day and night time shifts. Luna and Celestia took over their parents' role in raising the moon and sun respectively. Starshine became a potion brewer and Silver Haze helped in weather control (This is a high rank job since normally it is done by pegasi). They decided to meet up with their new friends Blacklightning and Ravenger, who were now the top scientists in Equestria. Unknown to them was that Blacklightning and Ravenger were now working on a time traveling machine. "Mornin' Blacklightning!" said Silver Haze. "Good morning Ravenger!" said Starshine. "What're you doing?" asked Celestia. "Oh hey guys we were just working on this new invention that lets you travel to different times in different dimensions!" said Blacklightning changing from a normal voice to a somewhat scarier (or crazier) tone. "How does it work?" asked Dusk. "Three ponies step inside and then I press this buutton. Then those ponies will end up in a random location." explained Ravenger. "Ooh, ooh, me first!" said Dusk rushing inside the chamber. "Fine, anypony want to go along with him?" asked Ravenger. "I go where he goes!" said Luna getting inside the chamber, "I think it's tight in here, me and Dusk should go alone." "What are you talking about, a dragon could fit in there." said Celestia getting in. "Us too!" said Starshine dragging Silver Haze along only to be stopped by Blacklightning. "Sorry guys but only three ponies can go at a time." said Blacklightning. "Fine." said Starshine slightly annoyed. "Thank goodness!" said Silver Haze. As soon as everypony was settled, Ravenger gave Dusk a button. "Use this to get back here." said Blacklightning. Blacklightning then pushed the button and sent the three ponies to an unknown world. Soon they arrived. "Where are we?" asked Celestia stepping out of the machine. "I don't know but it kinda looks like Equestria." said Dusk. "I wonder if I am in this Equestria." said Luna. "Hey! what did you do to my house?" said a midnight blue unicorn. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia looked behind them and saw that they destroyed part of a three story house. "Oh, we're sorry, we can repay you for the damages." said Dusk. The stranger, noticing that two of the ponies were actually the royal pony sisters. "Oh no, that's fine I'll just repair it with my magic." said the stranger. He concentrated his magic and fixed his house in mere seconds. "So sorry about the house again mister." said Dusk. "No it's fine. my name is Clex Alletto, you can just call me Clex." "Thank you for being so kind Clex." said Celestia. "I-its n-n-no p-problem y-your h-higness." said Clex nervously. "Why do you avoid looking at me and my sister?" asked Luna noticing how Clex avoided eye contact. "B-b-because y-y-you were t-the ones who told us to n-never look y-you in t-the eyes." said Clex still nervous. "What are you talking about?" asked Celestia. "We just got here." said Luna. "Guys remember that this is another dimension, he must be talking about the Celestia and Luna in this dimension." said Dusk. "It's ok to look at us Clex, we don't mind making new friends." said Celestia. "But how will I know if it's you from a different dimension and not the Celestia from my dimension?" asked Clex now perfectly calm. "I know! If we are accompanied by Dusk, we are from a different dimension." said Luna. "Good idea Lulu, wait what if there's a Dusk in this dimension as well?" said Dusk. "Oh no, nopony here is named Dusk, I know, I know everypony here." said Clex. "The it's settled, you are our new friend!" said Luna. "Uhm, can we ask you a favor?" asked Dusk. "What?" asked Clex. "Uhm, the button I got that transports us back to our dimension says that we can't return until after a week, so I was wondering if we could stay with you." said Dusk. "Anything for a new friend." said Clex. On the way into the house, Clex "accidentaly" tripped Dusk. "Hey, you did that on purpose!" said Dusk. "It's my way of acknowledging you as my friend." said Clex. "Fine." said Dusk as he continued to walk. Suddenly, Clex tripped him again. Clex started to laugh and Dusk just laughed sarcastically. Soon enough, everypony got to know each other better. They all became so close that they were all practically best friends. After a while of more talking, Clex pulled Dusk aside to speak to him privately. "Hey Dusk, now that I got to know you all better, I noticed how cute Luna is, I think I have a crush on her!" said Clex. "Stay away from Lulu! Get your own Luna!" said Dusk. "No, the Luna from this dimension is evil!" said Clex. "I will not let you take my Lulu away!" said Dusk. "How about a friendly wager then?" suggested Clex. "A little combat for your dimension's Luna." "Fine, if I win, you stay away from Lulu." said Dusk "And if you lose, I get to court Luna." said Clex. Clex, being a unicorn, cast a time freezing spell on Luna, Celestia and everypony else, both he and Dusk didn't want anypony to see them spar. As soon as the spell was finished, both stallions went outsideClex released a wave of water on Dusk. Luckily, Dusk could withstand much more force than that. Dusk Charged at Clex only to hit a wall that he conjured up. As soon as Dusk recovered, he charged at Clex again but this time while flying. Clex used his magic to cast a lightning bolt spell. The bolt hit Dusk directly on his face and left it all black. At this sight, Clex laughed. Dusk saw this and charged at him again. This time, instead of using magic, Clex simply tripped Dusk for the third time since he arrived. Clex charged up his final attack which was a giant typhoon. Dusk saw this and flew straight into the center where it was calm. Clex noticed this and  created bolts of lightning within the typhoon to hit Dusk. Unknown to Clex, Dusk was readying his best defense. As soonas the storm subsided, Dusk was seen still flying encased in a glowing ball of crystal. The crystal then surrounded only Dusk's mane and tail. Dusk flew straight for Clex. Knowing to brace for impact, Clex cast a shield spell. Dusk used all the energy he absorbed from Clex's spell and gave him the most powerful, storm-enhanced headbutt. Unable withstand the power of his own attack, Clex passed out. "CUUUUUT!" "Clex? what are you doing in the author booth?" "I was just wondering why I have to lose the battle." "How are you even talking to me?" "Oh that, I was created with the ability to break the 4th wall and defy physics, thank's MrAleyado! So back to the topic, why do I have to lose the fight?" "Because I am trying to make my story linked to MrAleyado's where you get to meet your dimension's Luna." "Oh ok then, BYE!" "What just happened? Anywho, back to the story." "Hehehe, that was great!" said Clex after regaining consciousness, "I didn't know you could do that." "Not too bad yourself, I almost lost. You make my friend Silver Haze seem like a begginer in fighting." said Dusk. Clex removed the time freeze spell and  he and Dusk returned to Celestia and Luna. "I think we will all get along just fine." said Clex. "Huh? Oh, good morning Dusk." said Luna in the most adorable voice ever. "Should we wake up Tia now?" asked Dusk. The two ponies looked to their side and found Tia spread out on the bed, mouth wide open, and apparently snoring, REALLY LOUD! "Nah, I think it would be best to let her wake up naturally." said Luna. "But-" said Dusk trying to argue. "Remember the last time we woke her up?" asked Luna. Dusk looked up to the ceiling and tried to remember. "Tia let us go!" said Dusk. "Yeah, this isn't funny." said Luna. Dusk and Luna were surrounded by Celestia's magic and were forced to tap dance. "Oh yes it is. Next time think before waking me up with an airhorn!" growled Celestia. "Come on, we promise not to wake you up again!" said Dusk. "Oh yeah, right. Let's just go eat breakfast." said Dusk. Luna and Dusk walked quietly out of the room not wanting to wake up Celestia. Suddenly, the door flung open and Clex shouted, "HEY GUYS WAKE UP I GOT PANCAKES!" All Luna and Dusk could say was, "Oh no!" "What's wrong, you don't like pancakes?" asked Clex. "Suddenly, out of nowhere, Celestia rose up behind Clex with a "HOW DARE YOU!" look. "Clex, stay calm and... RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" said Dusk. "Why would I-" said Clex, only to be cut of by Celestia who had enveloped him in her magic. "This is what you get for waking me up you little jerk!" said Celestia levitating 100 feathers to her side. Without hesitation, Celestia commanded all 100 feathers to ticle a tap-dancing pony. "No *haha*, no, please *HaHaHaHa*... make it stop *BWAHAHAHAHAHA*!" said Clex between laughs. "Never!"said Celestia. "Tia, calm down. He didn't mean to wake you up." said Dusk. "Fine, but only because you asked nicely." said Celestia, stoping Clex from dancing. "Thank *pant* you *pant* Dusk *pant*." said Clex, between pants. After the commotion from Clex's tap-dancing session- "CUUUUT!" "Oh no, not again. Clex What are you doing in the author booth again?" "Well... FORGET ABOUT THE TAP-DANCING ALREADY!" "No, it adds humor to the story." *Clex uses a jedi mind trick* "You WILL forget about the tap-dancing." "I will forget about the tap-dancing." "Good. Now that that's settled, good bye." "Huh? What happened? Anyway... back to the story." After the commotion settled down, everypony sat down for breakfast. Everypony ate a ton of pancakes. Celestia used her magic to summon icing and whipped cream. She put icing in between each piece, placed icing all over the stack, then put a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. "Wala! I call it... the PANCAKE CAKE!" said Celestia, eyes shining. "Your forgetting something." said Dusk, "Lulu, would you do the honors?" "Sure Dusk." said Luna. Luna used her magic to summon a strawberry and some blueberries. Luna then put the berries on top of the whipped cream. "WAHOO!" said Celestia. Celestitia then gobbled her pancake cake in one, very messy, bite. Soon whipped cream and icing was all over Celestia's face. "Mmmmmm... so creamy and sweet, thanks you guys." After Celestia ate, Luna, Dusk, and Clex started to eat. Clex noticeed that Dusk was feeding Luna. Clex decided to mess with them. "So, how long have you two been dating?" Both Luna and Dusk spit out their pancakes and started coughing. "We haven't, we wern't, I dont..." said Luna in a panic like tone. "I haven't really asked Lulu out yet." said Dusk in a really awkward tone. "What? Hurry up dude, somepony else may take her from you." said Clex. "Uhm..." said Luna and Dusk awkwardly. "Oh, I'm just teasing." said Clex. Luna and Dusk calmed down and continued to eat. *Hours and hours passed.* It was now night time. Tonight was the first time Luna didn't have to raise the moon, and tonight was the night of the full moon. Everypony went to their respective room. Eventually though, Luna and Dusk had to pee. "Dusk, Dusk, are you awake?" asked Luna nudging him. "Yeah, why?" replied a sleepy Dusk. "I have to pee." said Luna. "Hmm... weird, I have to pee too." said Dusk. "Ok then, let's go." said Luna. Luna and Dusk got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. Suddenly, they saw a shadowy figure. They noticed that the shadow had wings, and a horn! "Tia, is that you?" asked Luna. The figure started to run away. Luna and Dusk ran after the figure. After a few minutes of running, they finally caught the pony. "We finally caught you..." said Dusk. Luna removed the hood from the pony, "Clex?!" said Luna and Dusk simultaneously, obviously confused. "How do you have wings AND a horn?" asked Dusk. "Well, every time there's a full moon, I get wings for a whole week." said Clex. "Why?" asked Luna. "I don't know. It just happens." said Clex. "CUUUUUT" "What's the problem oh 'Great Author'?" "How come there's an alicorn OC in my story? I clearly stated no alicorn OC's in my story!" "Uhmm... let me get MrAleyado." "Hey wait!" "Hey DuskChaser123! How come Clex called me?" "How did he? Oh nevermind. Didn't I say multiple time I don't want alicorn OC's?" "Well, Clex is only partially an alicorn. Besides, it can't possibly ruin your story if an alicorn OC appears rarely." "Fine, but if I get hate for it-" "If anyone hates Clex for being an alicorn it was my idea, not DuskChaser123's idea. Happy DuskChaser123?" "Good enough. Back to the story." "Okay so now what?" asked Dusk. "Uhm... Dusk..." said Luna in a really high pitched whispery voice. "Yes?" asked Dusk. Luna whispered into Dusk's ear. "I still need to pee." said Luna. "Oh yeah, see you tomorrow Clex." said Dusk. After their encounter with Clex, Luna and Dusk rushed to the bathroom to pee. Luna slammed the door shut as soon as she was inside. "Luna let me in!" said Dusk banging the door. "Ahhh... sooo good." Luna let out a sigh of relief. "Gahhh!" screeched Dusk, having difficulty holding in his pee. "I sense that they are in a group. I shall select one of them to take on the rest!" "I don't think one will be enough to face the rest." "Then I shall choose a being from our dimension as well!" "That sounds fair." "Well then, LETS GO!" It was a quiet morning in Equestria2. Everypony was eating breakfast. Suddenly, Luna, Celestia, and Clex shuddered. Luna and Celestia were knocked out of their chairs while Clex just got a headache. "Lulu, are you alright?" asked Dusk. "I-i'm fine." said Luna. "What was that?" asked Clex. "I don't know. I feel like something wrong is going to happen." said Celestia. "Why did only you three feel something?" asked Dusk. "It might be because we are alicorns." said Celestia. "The why did I just get a headache while you two got knocked out  of your chairs?" asked Clex. "Maybe it's because you aren't a full alicorn." said Dusk. "Let's just continue eating." said Luna. Everyony resumed eating like nothing happened. Unfortunately for them, Celestia was right about something bad going to happen, they just don't know it yet. "How long until we reach the location of the disturbance?" "It will take a day, just enough time for them to leave on their own!" "If they do?" "Then we ignore them." "If they don't?" "Then we continue our plan!" Everypony finally finished their breakfast. "So, what do we do now?" asked Clex. "Well, I really want to see this dimension's Luna and Celestia." said Dusk. "I like that Idea." said Luna. "Uhm... you can't see Luna." said Clex. "Why?" asked Celestia. "The Luna from this dimension was banished to the moon." said Clex. "Why? Who did that?" asked Dusk. "This dimension's Celestia did. It was because Luna was filled with hate and jealousy and tried to overpower her. This dimension's Celestia has been a tyrant ever since." said Clex. Luna and Celestia from Equestria1 were both shocked and sad at the same time. "I could take you to see Celestia, but I don't think she would be too happy." said Clex. "Well, I won't let that stop us. Besides, maybe if your Celestia sees Lulu then maybe she would go back to her happy self." said Dusk. "I think Dusk is right." said Luna. "Yeah, I could talk to her as well." said Celestia. "Ok then." said Clex, still a little nervous. Luna, Dusk, Celestia, and Clex proceeded to Canterlot Castle. Eventually, they were at the main gate. "Halt!" said two members of the Solar Guards. Suddenly, they recognized Celestia. "Sorry to interupt you your highness." "What was that?" asked Celestia. "I think that they think that you are the Celestia from this dimension." said Dusk. "Ok then, let's go." said Celestia. Celestia and the rest walked inside. "HALT!" said the guards again, "Who goes there?" The guards stopped Luna, Dusk, and Clex. Luckily Celestia had an idea. "GUARDS! LET MY COMPANIONS PASS!" said Celesia in her ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "Y-yes ma'am." said the guards. The guards saluted and let Luna, Dusk, and Clex through. The four ponies proceeded to the throne room. As soon as they entered, they saw the Equestria2 version of Celestia."Who are you?!" asked the Equestria2 Celestia in a rather angry tone. "I am you from a different dimension." said Equestria1 Celestia. Luckily, Equestria2 Celestia was just as smart as Equestria1 Celestia, so she understood and believed her. "Who are they?!" asked Equestria2 Celestia pointing towards Luna, Dusk, and Clex. "Oh Celly, surely you recognize our own sister." said Equestria1 Celestia. Equestria2 Celestia stepped down from her throne and rushed to Luna. She then proceeded to hug Luna. It had seemed that all of Equestria2 Celestia's rage had finally seeped away. "Oh it's been so long since I saw my Luna." said Equestria2 Celestia, "Who are the two stallions accompanying you?" "I am Sir Dusk Chaser of the Eventide Royal Guards." said Dusk. "I never heard of such guards." said Equestria2 Celestia. "He created them so that he could guard both me and Tia. He is also my coltfriend." said Luna. Dusk blushed when he heard Luna call him her coltfriend. "And I am Clex, Clex Alleto." said Clex. "I see." said Equestria2 Celestia, "Well, seeing as how late it is, you may all stay at the palace." said Equestria2 Celestia. "We have arrived!" "Where are the travelers?" "I sense them in the palace!" "Let us go then." "Soon we shall destroy these inter-dimension travelers!" Everypony was sleeping peacefully when suddenly, the ground shook. Everypony woke up in shock. "What's happening?" asked Luna. "I don't know." said Dusk. Suddenly, Two gigantic beings appeared. One was white white the other was dark. "Luna, Dusk, and Celestia! You three have overstayed in this dimension! Because of this we shall destroy you!" Suddenly, the white one teleported them to an unknown space and the dark one turned into a mist that surrounded Equestria1 Luna and Clex. Wailing could be heard from within the mist. After the mist died down, all that was seen was two ponies. Both were taller, had dark coats, and had armor. Suddenly the dark stallion, who called himself Nightstalker, charged at Dusk and Celestia. The mare however, was wailing. Apparently, the shadows caused immense pain to Luna. "Lulu!" shouted Dusk. Suddenly, a beam of dark magic blasted Celestia. Dusk flew over to the Guardian of Light. Nightstalker noticed this and fired a beam right at him. Dusk used his spell to absorb the spell and proceeded to fly to the Guardian. "Look, I don't know who you are but I can't stand to see my friends in pain." said Dusk. "I cannot do anything about that. Your friend 'Luna' has to fight you, we cannot change that." "Then what about the Luna from this dimension?" said Dusk. "I shall allow it. However, be warned, she has mastered the power of the shadows." "That's ok with me." said Dusk. Suddenly, Luna was returned to her original form, and in her place was a mare referred to as Nightmare Moon. Both Nightmare Moon and Nightstalker fought Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. It was an intense battle. Everypony was injured. Suddenly both Nightmare Moon and Nightstalker released a gigantic wave of dark magic. The beam was headed straight for Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. Dusk flew in front of them and used his spell to absorb the dark magic. The crystal shield blocked most of the energy but scarred him a little. Luna and Celestia were saved and Clex returned to normal due to releasing too much dark magic. Unfortunately, Dusk had absorbed too much dark magic the shadows corrupted Dusk. Dusk turned taller, his mane got darker, and he received armor, the biggest shock was that his wings were now of the same size. Dusk attacked Nightmare moon using an energy blast from all the energy he gathered. This caused nightmare Moon to fall. Dusk used whatever energy was left to blast the guardians. Luna, Celestia, and Clex did the same. This had no effect, thus it enraged Dusk. Dusk quickly turned and Blasted Luna, Celestia, and Clex. The three ponies used their magic to block the blast but failed. Luna was knocked unconscious. Dusk, seeing the fainted Luna, remembered who he was. Dusk got all the dark magic left in him and blasted the guardians. Dusk returned to normal. Dusk then talked to the Guardians. "WE HAVE NO WAY OF RETURNING TO OUR DIMENSION. EVEN IF WE WANTED TO, WE COULDN'T. I WILL AGREE TO LEAVE IF YOU PROVIDE US THE MEANS." said Dusk in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "We did not know of this. We have agreed to spare you. In return all we ask is that you never stay more than a few days in this dimension." "I will allow any creature accompanying any of you four to travel into different dimensions for not more than a week. This is your reward for being able to best us in combat." "We thank you and we shall be on our way for now." said Dusk. Everypony said goodbye to Clex. "Clex, make sure to take care of your dimension's Luna. I am not in this dimension so I cannot do this." said Dusk. "I will, and I hope you will visit again." said Clex. With that, The guardians set everything back to normal. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia were sent back home. Clex was sent to his home with his dimension's Luna. Everything was peaceful once again. //-------------------------------------------------------// Back Home //-------------------------------------------------------// Back Home "WHOOOOOOOOOOAH!" screemed Luna, Dusk, and Celestia as they swirled in the portal. Suddenly, they landed with a thud. They were now back to their own dimension. "That was fun." said Dusk, standing up and helped his friends stand up as well. "Yeah, until we saw those gigantic beings." said Luna. "Oh well, at least we're home safe and sound." said Celestia. "Yeah." said Luna and Dusk in Unison. "Huh?" said Clex as he was suddenly back in his room, his guests nowhere to be found. After regaining his logic, Clex saw something more surprising. "Princess Luna!" shouted Clex as he noticed that his dimension's Luna was right there with him. "Where... where am I?" asked Luna still weary after what happened. "Uhh... you are in my house." said Clex. "WHO ARE YOU?" asked Luna, slightly worried, slightly shocked. "I am Clex, Clex Aletto. I was told to take care of you. "Oh, I don't remember anything." said Luna. "It's ok, I will help you remember." said Clex. "Thank you." said Luna. Luna, Dusk, and Celestia decided to visit Starshine, Silver Haze, Blacklightning and Ravenger. They made their way to Blacklightning and Ravenger's house/lab. Luckily for them, they were all there waiting for them. "Luna, Dusk, Celestia, you're back!" said Starshine. "What happened, did you encounter the Guardians of the dimensions?" asked Blacklightning. "We did meet a gigantic white being." said Dusk. "And we saw a gigantic white being." said Celestia. "Is that what they were?" asked Luna. "I guess so." said Ravenger. "Did they fight you? How did you survive?" asked Silver Haze. "Well, technically, the black one turned into a mist that changed Luna and Clex. They were the ones who fought us." said Dusk. "Then another Luna took my place." said Luna. "Who's Clex?" asked Ravenger. "A friend we made in the other dimension." said Dusk "So, how did you win?" asked Starshine. "Well, most of the time, we just used defense. Dusk would use his spell and absorbed the dark magic they used." said Celestia. "Yeah, it eventually caused him to turn taller, his mane and tail became darker, and weirdly, his wings were fixed." said Luna. "Wow! Those guardians seem cool." said Silver Haze. "Yeah, I want to learn all about something... something that has been haunting me ever since we arrived back here." said Dusk. "What's that?" asked Starshine. "I need to learn about the Shadows." said Dusk. "So... Clex, tell me, what happened before now?" asked Luna. "Uhm... well, me and my friends from another dimension were teleported to a place beyond space and beyond time. We met two beings, one white, the other black. These beings were supposedly the guardians of this dimension. I got turned into Nightstalker and one of my friends, the other you was turned into Nightmare Moon. This caused her great pain. So another one of my friends, Dusk Chaser, asked the white guardian to replace her. Apparently, he agreed but summoned you in her place, seeing as how you mastered control over the Shadows. Eventually though, my friends were able to set things straight and the guardians set everything back to normal." said Clex, running out of breath. "Uh..." said Luna trying to piece together what she was just told, she then spoke "So, now I am here with you why?" Clex took a deep breath. Luna stopped him before he could say a word. "Slowly, and say it a sentence at a time." "Ok, my friend Dusk Chaser really cares for his dimension's Luna. This means, somehow, he cares for you too. He told me to take care of you until you regained strength." said Clex, slower and calmer this time. "Ok, thank you. I think I shall take a nap now." said Luna. "Sure, you can use the master's bed room, I will be here reading my favorite book. Feel free to call me up if you need anything." "Thank you." said Luna. She retreated to the master's bed room for a good nap. Clex took out his book on Equestrian myths. "I have to learn about these Shadows." said Clex "Have you found anything about the shadows?" asked Dusk. The seven ponies looked at any book they could for more info on the Shadows. "As a matter of fact, yes." said Ravenger. He held up a book entitled "The Complete Book of Equestrian Myths." "Do you really think that will help us?" asked Luna. "It's all we have so far." said Ravenger. "It's worth a shot." said Starshine. (At this point, both Dusk and Clex read at the same time.) Chapter 3: The Guardians of the Shadows. The guardians of the shadows are one of the trans-dimensional guardians. They get rid of trespassers in their dimension by transferring their dark powers into a being. This may cause pain to the being if the host is not suited to handle pressure. The transferred power takes any emotion that the host has and uses this to enhance their power. Most of the time, anger, selfishness, greed, jealousy, and other negative emotions are used. This causes the host to lose control over their power. These shadows can only be suppressed if another emotion takes over or if exposed to the power of the guardians of light. Even though they may seem conquered, the shadows never truly leave their host. The shadows are contained within the host, waiting to take over. When the host gives in to negative emotions, the shadows shall take over once again. //-------------------------------------------------------// Conquering the Shadows //-------------------------------------------------------// Conquering the Shadows "Clex! Where are you?" asked Luna. *groan* "Five more minutes!" said Clex. It was a peaceful day in Equestria2, the sun was shining, the birds were singing... "CLEX ALLETTO GET YOUR FLANK OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE! "Oh come on Luna, you sound just like my mother. Why do you think I moved out of her house?" said Clex. "Yeah, yeah, enough whining! Just look at what I found in the library." said Luna. *stomach grumble* "Can't we have breakfast first?" asked Clex. "Later, first come on and follow me to the library." said Luna. "Ugh... yes mom." said Clex in an annoyed tone. "Dusk..." said Luna, "Dusk, wake up." "Huh? What's happening?" asked Dusk. "Wake up, I found something strange in the garden." said Luna "Ok," *stomach grumble* "Uhm, let's have breakfast first." said Dusk. "Ok, but let's make it quick." said Luna. Luna and Dusk walked to the dining hall where Celestia was waiting for them. "Good morning Luna, good morning Dusk." said Celestia in between bites of cake. "Good morning Tia." said Luna and Dusk in unison. "What's for breakfast?" asked Dusk. "Pancakes, but there's regular cake if you want." said Celestia. "Nah, I need to eat quick, Lulu wants to show me something in the garden." said Dusk. "Ok then." said Celestia. With that, they ate their breakfast. After which, Luna and Dusk went to the royal garden. "I'm so hungry, what does this mare need to show me anyway?" thought Clex. "We're here! Now look, I found this in the mythology section." said Luna pointing to a big book. From the looks of it, the book was probably hundreds of years old. The book was entitled "How to Deal with Stress: A Book on Anger Management". "Hey! I don't have stress. And I don't need to control my anger!" shouted Clex with anger clear in his voice. "I didn't mean it like that. However, the way you replied, it seems you do need this book after all." said Luna. "Let's just get this over with. Wait, why is this book even in the mythology section?" asked Clex. "Because of this one particular page." said Luna who flipped to a page which read "The Effects of the Shadows". "Hmm... let's see." said Clex. Clex took the book and read the entire chapter. After an hour or so, he finished. "Ok, it says that the best way to deal with the shadows is to learn to control them." "How exactly does that work?" asked Luna. "The way you did it, except now I should learn how to use it during some situations." said Clex. "You mean like in battle or something?" asked Luna. "Yes, the book says that theoretically, if somepony masters the shadows, that pony can turn into a 'shadow pony' and be able to turn back when the task is done." said Clex. "When are you going to begin training?" asked Luna. "Right now." said Clex. "Ok Lulu, what exactly did you find?" asked Dusk. "That." said Luna pointing to a flower. The flower was different. In all the days Luna and Dusk would visit the garden, they have never seen anything like it. The flower was a dark pink with a black outline. "Hmm, maybe we should ask our friends about it." said Dusk. "Yeah, let's start with Silver Haze." said Luna. They went to Silver Haze's house, unfortunately, he didn't know anything about it. "Why don't you try asking Ravenger and Blacklightning." said Silver Haze. "Ok, thanks anyway." said Dusk. Luna and Dusk flew to Blacklightning and Ravenger's home. "Sorry guys, we haven't seen anything like it in all our years of study." said Ravenger. "Well, that only leaves one." said Luna. "Why don't you take the dimension skipper with you." said Blacklightning. "How are we supposed to carry a giant machine with us?" asked Dusk. "We turned it into a small capsule-like thing, just press the button to make it work." said Ravenger. "Thanks." said Luna. They trotted all the way to Starshine's cottage. "Hmm, I think I've seen that before," said Starshine, "Yeah, it was in one of the books daddy showed me." Starshine went to the back of her house and got an old book. The book was entitled "The Effects of the Shadows to Others". Dusk read the book. After about an hour or so, Dusk finished. "Lulu, I think we need to make a trip." said Dusk. "To where?" asked Luna. "Alternate Equestria," said Dusk, "Starshine, you should come too." "Yes! I finally get to meet your alternate dimension friend!" said Starshine. Dusk pushed the button on the dimension-skipper. In a blink of an eye, the three ponies were outside Clex's home. Immediately, a tiny bolt of lightning hit Starshine. "Hey! What was that?" said Starshine. "Sorry about that, my friend was just practicing." said Luna2. "What the... Luna?" said Starshine. "Yes?" said Luna and Luna2 in unison. "I think I'm seeing double." said Starshine. "No, no, no, this other Luna is the Luna from this dimension." said Luna. "How am I supposed to tell the difference?" asked Starshine. "The Luna which is closer to me is the one from our dimension." said Dusk. "And the one teaching me is the one from mine." said Clex, who finally turned back to normal. "Who is this?" asked Starshine. "That is Clex, he's the friend I told you about." said Dusk. "He isn't as ugly as you said he was." said Starshine. Clex gave Dusk a death glare but Luna and Luna2 returnedthe look for Dusk, Clex stopped. "Anyway, Clex, I need you to help me train to control the shadows. Apparently, the shadows can consume other life forms if not controlled." said Dusk showing the group the flower. "What a coincidence, Luna was just helping me train too." said Clex. With that, Dusk and Clex started their training. Starshine cast a magical barrier so that nopony could get hurt. The training took them about a month to finish. At the end of the month, they both had to see if they had controlled the shadows. The first thing they had to do was to be able to freely release the shadow's power. Both had no problem with this because they were both already very emotional. Dusk and Clex both grew taller. Each also got a darker color scheme. Once again, Dusk's left wing grew to the same size as the other. Clex got small fangs and Dusk's fangs grew slightly bigger and sharper. The next step was to be able to cast a spell without it getting corrupted by dark magic. Being a skilled unicorn at birth, this was no problem for Clex. Dusk struggled to cast his only spell, it just kept failing. According to what Dusk read, this was because the shadows were more of offensive than defensive. The next thing they had to accomplish was to be able to take the pain that the shadows would always cause the host. Luckily, because of all the training at school, Dusk was able to handle the pain. Clex was also able to handle it yet it did annoy him a lot. Lastly, they both had to be able to return to their normal form. Clex was able to do this due to his extra day of training. However, Dusk wasn't able to revert to normal, he went on a rampage and charged into anything he could. He formed tons of hurricanes and caused a few minor earthquakes. Luckily, because of the barrier Starshine cast, nopony got hurt. Dusk was sill in his shadow form. He was not able to revert back. Luckily for him, Luna, Luna2, Starshine, and Clex cast a spell Dusk found in the book he had read. This spell had to be done by 2 ponies from his dimension and 2 ponies from another. Eventually, Dusk reverted to normal. Dusk was extremely tired and passed out. "Dusk," said Luna, "Dusk wake up." "Huh, what happened?" asked Dusk. "You weren't able to control yourself in your shadow form bro, you went on a rampage." said Clex. "What! Did I hurt anypony?" asked Dusk. Nopony got any major wounds but Luna had gotten a bruise from a rock that had hit her. Dusk noticed this and said, "I'm so sorry everypony. Don't worry, I will never turn into my shadow form again. The most I can do at this point is control it enough for it not to affect another being." said Dusk. With that, the three ponies were about to leave when Clex pulled Dusk aside. "Dusk, your'e going to have to learn how to control the shadows eventually." said Clex. "I know, but if I practice, I'm going to have to stay away from Luna, she could get hurt." said Dusk. "Good luck bro." said Clex. With that, Luna, Dusk, and Starshine left Equestria2. //-------------------------------------------------------// Surprise Guest //-------------------------------------------------------// Surprise Guest "I'm bored!" complained Luna in a bored tone. "Well, what do you suggest I do?" asked Celestia. Through the years, both princesses grew up and started to mature. However, Princess Luna matured slower than her older sister, she was as playful as ever yet was still focused when it was the night shift. Celestia on the other hand was always calm and composed but sometimes showed signs of her funny side. "How about we go take a walk in the royal garden?" asked Luna suddenly more cheerful. "I can't Luna, I have royal duties to attend to now." said Celestia. "Oh..." said Luna, obviously disappointed. "Luna... cheer up, I would have loved to go but I can't. Remember, we promised mom and dad before their passing that we would do our royal duties when we take over." at this point, both princesses shed a tear when they remembered their parents. "Ok, I guess I'll go to sleep now. I wouldn't want to break my promise." said Luna. She started to walk to her chambers when she was stopped by her sister. "Luna, why don't you see Dusk and ask him if he wants to go." said Celestia. "Doesn't he have guard duties now?" asked Luna. Ever since the passing of the king and queen, all the guards were assigned to guard the castle for a longer period of time. "Not anymore." said Celestia, starting to write on a scroll and a piece of paper she conjured up. "What do you mean?" asked Luna. "Just give this to him before taking him with you." said Celestia. "Uhm... ok then, thanks, I guess." said Luna. "Give him the piece of paper first, if he doesn't follow you, give him the scroll." said Celestia. "Ok, I'll be going now." said Luna, still confused. Dusk was standing guard outside the palace with the rest of his squad. He had been on guard since midnight and was going to be dismissed in four more hours (Current time: 8:00am). "Alright troops, only a few more hours to go. Stay strong and stand your ground!" said Dusk. "Sir, yes sir!" replied his troops. Suddenly, Luna came running towards them. As soon as she passed, each guard bowed their heads in respect. "Dusk," said Luna, "You know I don't want you bowing down to me." Dusk raised his head. "Hehe, I know. But I still have to do it." said Dusk. "Especially since I have some new recruits that need to learn when to bow. I need to set an example for them. I am their captain after all." whispered Dusk. Luna just rolled her eyes. "Fine. However, I require your companionship." said Luna. "Why? Is there a threat to Equestria again?" asked Dusk. "No. Not unless you count the attack on Equestria2 by, uhm... what'shisname." said Luna. "You mean Tirek?" asked Dusk. "Oh yeah! So, come on let's go." said Luna. "But I have guard duties. I'm sorry." said Dusk. "I was afraid of that, so I talked to Tia about it. She told me to give you this." said Luna, handing Dusk the piece of paper. Dusk read: "Dear Dusk, do me a favor and go with Luna. -Tia" "Really? A favor note? How easy did you think it would be for me to go with you "That's why Tia told me to give you this as well." said Luna. Dusk read: "Dear Captain Dusk Chaser, I require you to accompany Princess Luna. Failure to comply will result in severe disciplinary actions. -Princess Celestia" "Ok fine. For the record, I wanted to go with you from the start. I just wanted to see what those notes were." said Dusk. "Troops, I will be 'assisting' our princess. Please stand your ground, Vice-Captain Anon will be in charge until your shift ends." said Dusk. "Sir, yes sir!" replied every guard on duty in unison. "Do they always say that?" asked Luna. "No, only when it's their shift." said Dusk. Luna and Dusk proceeded to the royal gardens where they just took a stroll and appreciated nature. They spend hours there just chatting and looking around. Suddenly, one of Dusk's guards approached them. "Sir, I have been ordered by Princess Celestia to summon you and her highness." said the guard. "Thank you. you are free to go." said Dusk. "I wonder why Tia needs us." said Luna. "Me too. Let's go." said Dusk. In the throne room, Celestia waited with her friends Starshine, Silver Haze, Ravenger, and Blacklightning. Apparently, Ravenger, Blacklightning, and Starshine found something near Silver Haze's home. This may be of huge interest, especially for Dusk. Soon enough, both Luna and Dusk arrived. "What is it Tia?" asked Luna. "Our friends have found something... interesting. They are here to show us what they've found." replied Celestia. "Hey Dusk, hey Luna, long time no see. You are not going to believe what we found!" said Silver Haze. "We found it yesterday, it reminded us of you." said Starshine. "Me? Why me?" asked Dusk. "Spread out your wing." said Ravenger. "Uhm... okay..." said Dusk. He then proceeded to spread his smaller wing. "Now look at this." said Blacklightning. She then retrieved a small scale. She showed it to her friends and placed it near Dusk's wing. "What about it? It's just a dragon scale." said Dusk. "That's what we thought. We compared it to the scale samples in Starshine's dragon book." said Ravenger. "Apparently, it's not a dragon scale. It's a scale from a bat pony's wing (Bat ponies have small scaled that protect their wing. Most of these are around the "frame" of the wing)." said Blacklightning. "So... I leave those around a lot. I do visit your house often." said Dusk. "Yeah, but look." said Starshine, "This scale doesn't match the color of any of yours." "Wait..." said Dusk in a shocked tone, "Does that mean?" "Yes, there's a chance that another bat-pony visited the Everfree forest." said Silver Haze. "We have to find him." said Dusk. "Yeah." replied the rest of the group. The group set of to the Everfree forest. The sun has set and the moon has risen. The chances of spotting the bat pony grew. Unfortunately, after hours of searching, nopony found anything. "This is hopeless. We'll never find that bat pony." said Silver Haze. "We have to try." said Dusk. "But-" *screeeeech* Luna was cut short when they heard a screech. "That sounded like a bat pony screech!" said Starshine. "And it came from that direction." said Silver Haze pointing towards a narrow path. The group made haste, they had to find this bat pony. After a few meters, they noticed something. "Uhm, Starshine... Isn't this the way to your house?" asked Silver Haze. "Yeah, it is." replied Starshine. *screeeeech* The group quickened their pace. Evetually, they arrived at Starshine's home. *screeeeech* "Be careful guys, the bat pony might pounce on us." said Starshine. She slowly opened the door only to reveal an empty room. "Huh? I could have sworn I heard the screech come from here." said Dusk. Suddenly, something rushed by him. "What was that?" Everypony looked to the corner where they found a trembling pony. The pony's face was covered by the pony's wings. The pony's wings were not ordinary wings, they were bat wings! "P-please don't hurt m-me. I-i got l-lost in the fores and d-decided to s-stay here for a while." said the pony. "Who are you?" asked Dusk. "M-my name i-is Aria. Aria Song" replied Aria. "I wouldn't think of hurting you." said Dusk. Aria started to reveal her face. She was shocked to see that one of the ponies she saw was the same species as her. "Y-you're a bat pony." said Aria, pointing towards Dusk. "And so are you." said Dusk. "C-could you spread your wings a bit please?" asked Aria. Dusk complied but was unsure of what this had to do with anything. Aria did the same. She spread her wings and plucked out a scale. "Now take one of your scales too." "Okay." said Dusk. Dusk plucked out one of his scales and showed it to Aria. Aria examined the two scales closely. After a minute, she was shocked. She looked at Dusk and suddenly pounced on him. "Dusk Chaser!" shouted Aria. She then hugged Dusk. "H-how did you know my name?" asked Dusk. "Bat-ponies all have the same shape of scales. However, I received news hat a bat pony was born in Canterlot with unusual wings named Dusk Chaser. When I visited the Everfree forest on my way here, I found one of your scales. It was completely different from mine so I figured you owned it." said Aria. "So why are you hugging me?" asked Dusk. "Oh right... sorry. I just got excited that I found another bat pony. I haven't seen another since I ran away from my home." said Aria. "Oh it's okay then." said Dusk. "By the way... are you a fruit-eater or a blood-drinker?" asked Aria. "What does that mean?" asked Dusk. "Bat ponies either drink blood or eat fruit. I myself am a fruit eater." said Aria. "I don't drink blood so I guess I'm a fruit-eater." replied Dusk. "Good." said Aria, "Uhm... you wouldn't happen to know where I could stay would you? I don't really have a home now." said Aria. "You could stay at the palace with us! We could play games, and be friends." said Luna. "Yay! Thanks uhm..." "Luna." said Luna. "Thanks Luna." said Aria. With that, everypony went to their respective homes and Aria went with Luna, Dusk and Celestia. Everypony had just made a new friend. //-------------------------------------------------------// What Bat Ponies Do //-------------------------------------------------------// What Bat Ponies Do The moon was out. Stars lit up the sky. It was another beautiful night in Equestria and around half of the population was asleep. Luna decided that it would be a good idea to show Aria around Canterlot. Dusk agreed to join and Celestia decided that she cold stay awake a while longer. Of course, the tour wouldn't be complete if the rest of Aria's new friends didn't join. Luna, Dusk, Aria, and Celestia were to meet up with Starshine, Silver Haze, Blacklightning, and Ravenger. "I can't thank you all enogh! I can't beleive I get to see the whole of Canterlot." said Aria. "No problem." said Luna. "Yeah, although..." said Dusk. "W-what?" asked Aria. "You have to tell me more about bat ponies." said Dusk. "Ok!" replied Aria. "So, where are we supposed to meet our friends?" asked Celestia. "They said we would meet them near Blacklightning and Ravenger's lab." said Dusk. "Ok then, that isn't to far." said Luna. "Let's go!" said Aria. With that, they flew off. Soon enough, they landed in front of Blacklightning and Ravenger's home. "Hey guys!" said Ravenger. "Hello." said Luna, Dusk, and Celestia. Aria just hid behind them. "Oh come on Aria, say hello." said Luna. "H-hello again Blacklightning, Ravenger." said Aria. "So, where are Starshine and Silver Haze?" asked Dusk. "I don't know..." replied Ravenger. Suddenly, Starshine arrived. "Sorry I'm late, I had to get something... special." said Starshine. "What did you get?" asked Luna. "This." said Starshine showing the group a map. "What is this a map to?" asked Dusk. "Uhm... it's a map to the Great Bat Cave. That's where most bat ponies live." said Aria. "Neat! What do you say gang? Should we just go to the Great Bat Cave?" asked Dusk. "YEAH!" shouted everypony in unison, except Aria. "NO! Bat ponies normally move out of there after birth. Only the mother bats stay there. Any other creatures are considered intruders." said Aria. "Oh come on... I never got to see that place. I wasn't born there like you." said Dusk. "Uhm..." said Aria, really unsure and nervous. "Ok then! Let's go!" said Silver Haze. Everypony set of to the Great Bat Cave. Along the way, Dusk learned more and more about bat ponies. "So Aria, tell us more about our species." said Dusk. "Uhm... well first thing, there are two sub-species of bat pony, fruit eaters and blood drinkers, as you probably already know." said Aria. "The life span of a bat pony is significantly longer than any other pony except alicorns." "Neat. Anything else?" asked Dusk. "Well, blood drinkers lives are slightly longer than fruit eaters. As you can probably tell, most bat ponies are nocturnal." said Aria. "How are some able to stay awake at morning then?" asked Celestia. "Well that has to do with the first few bat ponies." Aria started. "A long time ago, a pegasus was said to have given birth to the first bat pony. This bat pony was a stallion. This bat pony became friends with the king and queen of that time. The king was responsible for the morning and the queen the night. Soon after, the king and queen's lives were at risk. An evil being threatened the kingdom. The bat pony decided to help his friends. He was incredibly loyal to them. The being was destroyed but unfortunately the  king was killed." "Wow! What happened next?" asked Luna. By now, the entire group stopped walking and sat around Aria listening to her like a storyteller. "Because of this, the first royal guards were formed." said Aria. "I never learned that at the guard school." said Dusk. "The history was lost through time." said Aria. "So, the bat pony became the first captain of the royal guards. He guarded his friend he best he could. Unfortunately, he had difficulty doing this due to his sleep cycle. He was able to change this cycle by sleeping continuously for one entire night, waking up by dawn. This trait allowed him to guard the queen during the morning while she slept. To this day bat ponies can alter their sleep cycle to follow th sleep cycles of those around them." "Neat." said Starshine. "That's also why bat ponies are somehow related to you Luna." said Aria. "Huh? Why?" asked Luna. "The bat ponies that followed the first were children of the next queen. The bat pony's child was also a bat pony and the queen's new child was a mare. The two children grew closer and closer to each other as they grew and their children were bat ponies. Each of their children each found their own families and started the bat ponies." "What else can you tell us?" asked Blacklightning. "Well, bat ponies are adept fliers, the aerodynamic design of our wings make bat ponies significantly faster than most pegasi. We also have abilities of echolocation and night vision. Normally, bat ponies are born in the Great Bat Cave but there are a few exceptions." said Aria, pointing to Dusk. "Even though it is possible for bat ponies to be born of other ponies, it is really rare." "Well, that was informative." said Blacklightning. "Yeah, but if we want to reach the Great Bat Cave, we have to keep moving." said Ravenger. The rest of the group stood up and continued on their route to the Great Bat Cave. "What can you tell us about the cave?" asked Starshine. "Well, every time a bat pony couple gives birth, they live in the cave until the foal learns to fly. After that, the foal is left alone. The foal uses it's echolocation and smelling to locate its parents. This is how bat ponies learn their survival skills." said Aria. "Then why don't you know where your parents are?" asked Dusk. A tear formed in Aria's eye as she started to cry. "Dusk, that was rude, it's not like you." said Luna. "Yeah." said Celestia, they then proceeded to comfort Aria. "I-i'm sorry Aria, I didn't mean to bring it up like that." said Dusk. Aria wiped a tear from her eye before speaking. "I-it's ok. B-but if you still want to know, I couldn't find my parents because I have trouble with echolocation. My throat can't properly make screeches." said Aria. "Come on, let's go to the cave. Hopefully, nopony will threaten us while we're there." "Yeah, let's go. And sorry again for a while ago." said Dusk. "It's fine Dusk, really." said Aria. The friends continued to walk to the Great Bat Cave. Luckily for them, it was still morning so there wasn't any difficulty in their route. After hours and hours of walking and talking, they reached the Great Bat Cave. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great Bat Cave //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great Bat Cave "Are we there yet?" asked Dusk. "For the literal hundredth time Dusk, no, we are not there yet." replied Silver Haze. It was one week of travel. This was incredibly boring. For the Everfree forest it was kinda peaceful out. Nothing life-threatening happened, to the dismay of the action-seekers in the group and to the joy of Aria. "Are we there yet Aria?" asked Starshine. "Actually, yes." replied Starshine, pointing to a cave. "We are?!" asked Dusk excitedly. "As I just said, yes." said Aria. "I must warn you, we might seem like intruders to the bat ponies in there." The group walked into the cave. Soft screeches could be heard from all around the cave. It was as dark as a night without the stars and moon. They couldn't use lights or magic to light up their way because it might alert the other bat ponies. Luckily for them, the deeper area of the cave was lit. Inside, the cave was beautiful. There were no bat ponies in sight. Suddenly, they heard screeching sounds. "What are you doing here?" asked a male bat pony. "Uhm... we were just visiting sir." said Aria. "You are a bat pony, you should know that nopony other than future parents are allowed here." said the pony in a harsh tone. "Uhm, ok. We'll be going now." said Aria. "No! We just got here! I want to see the cave!" said Dusk. "Unless your mare is bearing a foal you cannot go any deeper!" said the pony." "But-" said Dusk "No means no!" said the pony. He shoved the group out of the cave. "Well that was a waste of time." said Silver Haze. "Yeah. We went all the way here for nothing." said Starshine. "Then it's probably a good thing I 'borrowed' this then." said Celestia, showing the group what seemed like an old scroll. "What is that?" asked Dusk. "It's a scroll on bat pony history. It contains info about our species, some history, and other stuff." said Aria. "Neat!" said Luna. "Let's read it before somepony realizes we took it." "Which part do we read first?" asked Celestia. "How about 'Bat Pony Abilities'?" asked Blacklightning. "Yeah, we could learn all of the things Dusk can do." said Ravenger. "Alrighty then." said Celestia. Celestia started to read, "Bat Pony Abilities: Bat ponies are classified into two groups; blood-drinkers and fruit-eaters. Each group has a 'special ability' that only they can do." said Celestia. "Skip to the point." said Luna. "Ok then. A bigger percent of bat ponies are fruit-eaters. Bat ponies are able to 'see' through the dark using echolocation. Their fangs are sharp enough to pierce through metal. Bat ponies are said to be the most agile ponies in flight." "How ironic." said Dusk in a deadpanned tone. Due to his deformed wing, he was actually one of the worst fliers, only capable of short flights. "Let me continue. Bat ponies are able to camouflage themselves at night due to their darkly-colored coats, only a few bat ponies have light-colored coats. Bat ponies also have keener senses than other ponies. Bat ponies are also able to hang upside down to rest. They can cover themselves with their wings to conserve heat." said Celestia. "So that's why I'm never need a blanket." said Dusk. "And no wonder I never get cold at night." said Aria. "Is that all?" asked Blacklightning. "The only thing left are the so called 'special abilities' that bat ponies have." replied Celestia. "Read it!" said Silver Haze. "Yeah! Start with the blood-drinkers." said Starshine. "Fine. Blood drinkers have the special ability to hypnotize prey. One look into their eyes can cause temporary paralysis. This also causes memory loss if the prey survives. They are also able to release a mist from their body. This covers the prey and blocks its line of sight." said Celestia. "That probably gives them time to go for the kill." said Dusk. "Yeah. What can fruit-eaters do?" asked Silver Haze. "Well, fruit-eaters are said to be able to use the tiny scales that cover the wings in combat. As a self-defense tactic, when the fruit-eater wills it, they can release their scales in multiple directions. They do this by flapping their wings while they vibrate them. The scales can pierce through a 2-inch wall." said Celestia. "Cool!" said Dusk and Aria simultaneously. "Is that all the scroll says?" asked Starshine. "It has history and stuff but Aria already told us that." said Celestia. "Ok then so, do we go home now?" asked Luna "Sure I don't see why not?" replied Dusk. The group was heading home when suddenly Aria heard something. "Uhm, guys... we better run." said Aria. "Why?" asked Silver Haze. "Well... there is a group of bat ponies chasing us!" said Dusk pointing to the bat ponies pursuing them. The group ran for their lives. Celestia dropped the scroll in hopes that the bat ponies would leave them alone after. Unfortunately, the ponies still chased after them. The fastest one in the group of bat ponies was only a few inches behind Dusk, who was the slowest in his group. Luckily for him, instincts came in. Dusk started to release tons of incredibly tiny scales at the other bat ponies. This caused them to itch, they were too small to pierce them. Thanks to that, they were able to get out of the Everfree forest safely. The bat ponies didn't bother to follow them anymore past the border. "Hey Dusk, how come they were itchy?" asked Silver Haze. "Well I kinda released some of my scales." replied Dusk. "Aren't they supposed to be hurt instead of itching then? I mean the scroll said that your scales could 'pierce through a 2 inch wall'." said Ravenger. "Well it's probably cause I'm not that practiced. The scales I released were smaller than my regular scales, almost like dust." said Dusk. "Well, that's probably it then." said Luna. "Yeah." replied Celestia. "Ok then, let's all get our well deserved rest. I'm gonna practice this skill tomorrow, wanna help Aria?" asked Dusk. "Sure, it could be my practice too." replied Aria. With that, everypony returned to their homes. They really needed the sleep after their encounter with a group of bat ponies. //-------------------------------------------------------// Years Later... //-------------------------------------------------------// Years Later... Many years have passed, many ponies have come and gone. Right now, nothing in particular was happening. The day was calm... a little too calm. Anywho, Princess Luna and Celestia had just finished lowering the moon and raising the sun. Luna then proceeded to take a nap, and Celestia proceeded to do her royal duties. Everypony else was busy as well. Today, Dusk was just training with Aria in the combat room. Ever since the incident in the Everfree, both bat ponies learned to hone their abilities. Aria was also made co-captain of the Eventide guard. Everything was awesome. "Do you *huff* want to *huff* take a break?" asked Aria. "Sure, let's *huff* take a break." replied Dusk. Both ponies trained all day. It was incredibly tiring. Training however, was required. Being the captain and co-captain of a group of royal guards needed tons of power and discipline. Thankfully though, after Aria got appointed as co-captain, ponies liked bat ponies more. Many bat ponies became more sociable and some even joined the royal guards. After a short water break, Dusk and Aria resumed training. "Okay, what do we practice now?" asked Aria. "How about endurance flying? I still can't go past my limit of ten minutes." replied Dusk. "But you know what happens when you fly longer than ten minutes, you can't fly longer than that or else you could lose flight altogether." warned Aria. "Fine, how about echolocation?" asked Dusk. "Sure. First, lights out!" said Aria, as the lights turned off. One of the special features of the room was the ability to recreate any location or weather. It was now pitch black, nopony could see anything. Right before they started, Luna came into the room. "Dusk, Aria, why can't I see anything?" asked Luna. "We're practicing echolocation." replied Dusk. "We needed to recreate the darkest night ever." said Aria. "Oh, can I help in training?" asked Luna. "Sure! You could be our referee. You just say who reached you first." replied Aria. "Okay then." replied Luna. Dusk and Aria made their way to one end of the room. Luna managed to go to the other end of the room. "Okay guys, you can start now." said Luna. With that, Dusk and Aria started screeching. It was kinda hard to do this because their screeches affected each other. Because of this, both bat ponies kept bumping into things. Eventually, they crashed into themselves. "Ow! What just happened?" asked Dusk. "I don't know. Somepony turn on the lights." said Aria. Luna just turned on the lights, revealing Dusk and Aria tangled in a rope. "Where did the rope come from anyway?" asked Luna. "I don't know." replied Aria. "Hmm... I think I know. I smell Clex somewhere in this room." said Dusk. "What? How could you know I'm here even with my invisibility spell?" asked Clex. "Bat ponies have excellent senses, one of which is smell." said Aria. "Dang it!" said Clex. "What are you even doing here?" asked Dusk. "Oh, I was just gonna see if you could help me train." replied Clex. "Then what's with the rope." asked Aria. "I was bored waiting." relied Clex. Dusk agreed to help Clex in his training. "Okay, so what do you want to do first?" asked Dusk. "Same as always, first one to faint loses." said Clex. "Fine, your move Clex." said Dusk. The match began, Luna and Aria stepped to the side. It was a good fight. Clex was on the verge of winning. "So, how does it feel to lose this time Dusk?" asked Clex. "I'm having mixed feelings about it actually." said Dusk. "Any last words?" asked Clex. "Actually, yes," replied Dusk, "Luna turn of the lights." The room turned pitch black. "What the? Isn't this cheating?" asked Clex. "Remember, our agreement says that we can use all our abilities. One of mine is echolocation." replied Dusk. Dusk easily turned the tides around. Clex was now the one close to losing. Eventually, a crashing sound was heard. "What happened?" asked Luna, turning the lights on. "It seems I got caught in Clex's rope... again." said Dusk. "So, who wins?" asked Aria. "I say it's a tie." said Clex. Both agreed. "So, what do we do now?" asked Dusk. "Want to visit Equestria2?" asked Clex. "Oh yeah! Aria hasn't been there anyway, good idea." said Dusk. With that, Clex opened the portal to his home dimension. "Let's go!" said Aria. Luna, Dusk, and Clex followed. "What the heck happened here?!" shouted Clex. There were hydras attacking Canterlot. "Why are hydras attacking?" asked Dusk. "How should I know? It was fine before I left." replied Clex. There were five hydras attacking. All the guards were having difficulty defeating one. Six mares were fighting another. The princesses handled the third, and the rest of the citizens were dealing with the fourth. The last one was the biggest of them. "We have to help." said Aria. "I agree, let's focus on the last one." said Luna. With that, they all flew to the hydra. They all started to attack it. Luna fired multiple beams of magic, Clex tried to burn it with his magic, and Aria and Dusk launched tiny scales to pierce the hydra. Unfortunately, the hydra put up a fight. The hydra slammed its tail into them. Clex stood up and tried more spells. Dusk followed soon and tried ramming into it. Nothing they did had much effect. Eventually, they had won. All five hydras were dealt with. Soon after, Celestia teleported the fainted hydras away. Everything was great until Dusk and Clex fell down. Aria and Luna rushed them both into a hospital. Apparently, during the fight, both Dusk and Clex had multiple broken bones. Dusk was also bit by the hydra. All Luna  and Aria could do was hope that they were okay. After an hour or so, the doctor came out with the news. "How are they doc?" asked Luna. "Clex is more or less fine already. Being a unicorn, his body quickly responded to the healing magic. Dusk however, wasn't so lucky." said the doctor. "What does that mean?" asked Luna, a little worried. "While his skeleton is healing, many of his vital organs were pierced. We will need to keep him here until we can ensure that these organs can be cured." said the doctor. A tear ran down Luna's face, Aria was sad too. Both mares decided to wait in the hospital to ensure their friends' safety. Dusk and Clex shared he same hospital room. After a while, Clex regained consciousness. "Hey guys, why the sad face? Where's Dusk?" asked Clex. Aria pointed behind him. As soon as Clex saw his friend, he asked, "What happened to him?!" "According to the doctor, many of his vital organs were pierced. If they don't cure them, Dusk might die." said Luna, she continued to cry. "What?! Maybe I can help with my magic." said Clex. "I'm afraid that might not work Clex." said the doctor, who just walked in. "What do you mean?" asked Clex. "Dusk's body doesn't react that well to magic. Vital organs are also beyond repair from magic. There's nothing else we can do but observe him. If his body accepts the healing magic, he might saved from fatal wounds. Even if that happens, we can't be sure that Dusk will recover." replied the doctor. "What can we do then?" asked Aria. Starshine and Silver Haze, his first friends from school, Blacklightning and Ravenger, his smartest (and somewhat craziest, in a good way) friends, Clex, his friend from beyond this realm, Aria, his only bat pony friend Celestia, one of his closest friends, and of course Luna, his best friend and life-long crush, were all there. It was quiet, save for the heart monitor, there was absolutely no sounds. After a while, the heart monitor stopped beeping. "Wha-what happened?! Why did it stop beating?!" asked Luna, tears welling up in her eyes. Celestia rushed outside to fetch the doctors. "Dusk, stay with us... Just a little longer!" said Clex. "Don't leave us, remember all the fun that we had?" asked Silver Haze. "Be strong, just wait a while, the doctors are coming." said Starshine. The doctors rushed into the room. Using some sort of magic to try to get Dusk's heart to pump again. After around half a minute, nothing happened still. "No, don't give in, fight back." said Blacklightning. "Fight back, just like you always did." said Ravenger. It took a while, but eventually, Dusk's heart started beating again. Soon after that, Dusk regained consciousness. "H-hey everypony. H-how's it going?" asked Dusk. Everypony seemed to cheer up. However, Luna just smacked Dusk in the face. "Ow, what was that for?" "That was for scaring me." said Luna. "Aww... don't worry Lulu, I won't do it again." said Dusk. "You better not Dusk, you almost gave us all heart attacks." said Aria. "I promise I won't scare any of you guys ever again. However, I wan't to tell you all something." said Dusk. "What is it?" asked Aria. Dusk addressed each one of them starting with Starshine and Silver Haze. "Starshine and Silver Haze, thanks for all that you've done for me. You guys are the reason school was fun." said Dusk. He then turned to Blacklightning and Ravenger. "Thanks to you guys, I have had so many fun adventures. You guys even helped me meet Clex. Thank you." he then spoke to Clex. "You are one of my closest friends Clex. Thanks for always being fun. I could always count on you to make things fun." Dusk then faced Aria. "Aria, you are the only bat pony I have ever befriended. Thanks for all the support and fun. I think you would make a great captain of our squad. Remember to always serve the kingdom and protect it's rulers." He then talked to Celestia. "Tia, thanks for everything you have done. You are a great ruler, It has been an honor serving you. Oh and before I forget, cut down on the cake." Lastly, he faced Luna. "Lulu-" "Enough! You speak as if it was your last. No more." said Luna, shedding a few tears. "Lulu, Thank you for being there for me through thick and thin. I'm sorry for not always being there for you. You have made my life a life worth living. And of course, I love y-" said Dusk. Before he could finish his sentence, the heart monitor just displayed a straight line. "I-i love you too Dusk." said Luna. The next day, everything that had to be done was done. Ever since then, Equestria hasn't been the same ever again. However, things come, and things go, thus the never-ending cycle continues. "What the?!" said Dusk. Deep within the Everfree forest, Dusk had just woken up. With a heavy sigh, he spoke. "Why must I dream these things? Another life with friends? I must be going crazy. Nopony would ever even consider befriending a bat pony like me. Whatever, I should just go back to sleep." She had a white coat and a pink cotton candy-like mane and tail, which flowed with the wind. They named the young filly Princess Celestia, named after her parents, with them controlling celestial bodies. The whole kingdom was overjoyed for their new princess. The headlines that day were: "A NEW PRINCESS WAS BORN! EARTH, PEGASUS, UNICORN? NO SHE'S AN ALICORN!" Rose Heart helped take care of Princess Celestia, cleaning her, feeding her, and generally helping out. Night Frisk guarded the room, being the head of the Night Royal guards, he added extra security in the palace by up to a thousand more guards in both day and night shifts. There were now millions of guards on guard that even a speck of dust couldn't make it into the palace. After a year or so, the king and queen were told that they would have another child. Everyone in the kingdom was overjoyed by the news they received. However, this was not the only news the king and queen received, Night Frisk and Rose Heart were to have a child as well. The couple were so happy that they were finally going to have a child. They congratulated each other on the happy news. The headlines read: "KING AND QUEEN ARE HAVING ANOTHER CHILD!' and on some other part of the paper: "King and Queen's Best Friend are Having a Child." After a few months, the two couples gave birth AT THE SAME TIME. Born to King Moonlight and Queen Sunshine was another alicorn filly. She had a light navy blue coat and a sky blue mane and tail. This filly's mane covered one side of her face, enhancing her cuteness. They named this cute little filly Luna, named after her father, King Moonlight. The headlines that day were: "ANOTHER ALICORN PRINCESS IS IN OUR KINGDOM!" Luna was smaller than a regular newborn filly. The doctors said that this may sometimes happens. The doctors also said to make sure that Luna will always be taken care of. They said that her size will not affect her health but may leave her weaker than a normal filly. They also mentioned that she could make up for her small size with her enhanced abilities. They said that if a pony's size was smaller at birth, their magic gets compressed into the small space. This makes ponies' magic stronger and harder to control (Think of it like a bottle full of Coke, If you add a Mentos to it, the pressure builds up and if the bottle cannot contain it, it bursts, however, if the bottle is half full, and you add a Mentos to it, it won't burst since there is extra space for the pressure). After a few moments later another foal was born into Equestria. Rose Heart and Night Frisk's child was born. Born of Rose Heart and Night Frisk was a colt. His coat was a spotted navy blue with spots of darker blue. His mane was three different shades of blue, and his tail had blue, purple, and green shades. They named him after the newborn princess, since he was similarly colored, and since she was so adorable. They named him Dusk Chaser. They wanted Dusk Chaser to protect the royal princess sisters, especially Luna, since they were born at the same time. They wanted him to become a royal guard just like his father. They wanted him to be the best royal guard ever. But there was something different about this colt. He was a pony with bat wings. This was shocking since no one knew any bat ponies. The doctors'research showed that in every 1,000,000,000,000 (trillion) pegasi, one of them may be a bat pony. Bat ponies were a rare specie of pony. They are rarely heard about. But that was not the only thing different about this colt, unfortunately, one of his wings was smaller than the other. The doctor said that this may cause difficulty or pain in flying. Suddenly, for no reason, Princess Luna started to cry. No one knew how to stop her crying. No matter what anypony did, the newborn princess wouldn't stop crying. Suddenly, Dusk tried his best to fly over to Luna despite his wing problem. since being a newborn colt means not being used to flying, this was a little difficult to do. As soon as he made his way to Princess Luna, he laid down beside the newborn princess and stretched his wing over her to comfort and protect her. Feeling safer, Princess Luna finally stopped crying. This made everypony in the room smile. There was a law that if a pony does a deed that would protect the royal family, that pony may be granted membership to the royal guards. This may include saving somepony, accepting a task, or anything deemed worthy by anyone from the royal family. What Dusk did was so touching, they considered turning him into a royal guard. They realized that Dusk did protect Luna. The way Dusk flew, even though it was really terrible flying, over to Luna as quickly as he heard her cry, and the way he protected her with his wing was the best deed they ever saw. Both King Moonlight and Queen Sunshine agreed that Dusk would become a royal guard just like his father as soon as he is of age. Rose Heart and Night Frisk were so proud of their newborn son. They took care of him just as they took care of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Since King Moonlight and Queen Sunshine were always busy with royal duties, Rose Heart took care of the three foals every day. She would always feed them, wash them and play with them. The three foals were inseparable, they would eat, sleep, wash, and play together all the time.  Night Frisk made sure to guard them extra carefully. He added even more guards to the palace. "What is it?" asked Starshine approaching the scientist couple followed by Silver Haze. "Something went wrong with the machine, they won't be back for a week!" said Blacklightning. "That's not so bad." said Silver Haze in the most confident tone ever. "No, it is far worse!" said Ravenger. Silver Haze recovered from his overconfident state at this point. "Why is that?" asked Starshine. "Because if they stay longer than an three days, something bad will happen." said Blacklightning. "What exactly does that mean?" asked Silver Haze. "In each dimension, there are two guardians. These guardians make sure that nopony stays in a different dimension for more than an three days. This makes sure that inter-dimension travelers don't mess anything up." said Blacklightning. "If Luna, Dusk, and Celestia don't get out in an three days, these two guardians will be looking for them." said Ravenger. "Oh no!" said Starshine and Silver Haze simultaneously. Ravenger took out a scroll from the back of their lab. The scroll had text in a different language written on it. It translated to: "The Ancient Guardians of Dimensions." "This is a scroll me and Blacklightning found in some old ruins." said Ravenger. "It contains all known info on the Guardians of Dimensions." said Blacklightning. "Hopefully it will tell us how to summon specific inter-dimension travelers." said Ravengers. "Luckily, we were able to translate it." said Blacklightning. In each dimension two guardians stand by and watch. These two guardians are the "Guardians of Light" and the "Guardians of Shadows." These two guardians never get along. However, these two guardians agree on one thing, and one thing only; that they will protect their respective dimensions. The Guardians of Light ensure that if any evil enters their dimension, they will stop it. They do this by sharing their power through different ways. Some examples of these are seen in different dimensions. In the Tranformer's dimension, this is the Allspark. In the Naruto dimension, this is the Biju Chakra. In Equestria, this is in the form of the Tree of Harmony. The Guardians of Shadows ensure that no inter-dimension travels last more than an three days. This ensures that nothing can cause harm in their dimension. If an inter-dimension travel lasts more than an three days, they will give their powers to a host that will fight the inter-dimension traveler. The host may be any creature in the guardian's dimension (If only one creature crosses dimensions) or one of the inter-dimension travelers (If in a group). These shadows take all a creature's rage, jealousy, or any other negative emotion and enhances them. This fills the host with dark powers. Fortunately, the Guardians of Light have given every creature a blessing. To make sure creatures return to their own dimensions anytime they want, the guardians made a spell to summon them back. All a creature has to do to summon the inter-dimension traveler is- "Why did the text just end?" asked Starshine. "Dang it!" shouted Ravenger. "The spell to summon an inter-dimension traveler was ripped of and lost." said Blacklightning. "What do we do now?" asked Silver Haze. "We have to find that spell." said Blacklightning. The next day Starshine, Silver Haze, Blacklightning, and Ravenger went to Hollow Shades, where the ancient ruins were. They searched the entire ruins for the spell. Each stone, each crack, each wall they checked. They took hours and hours to find the spell.  Unfortunetly, they found nothing. "Guys, I found something." said Starshine. Eventually, she had found a clue. In the center of the ruins, beneath some ruble, they found a tablet that read: "Only when Light and Dark mix shall you find the spell." "Only when Light and Dark mix...What does that mean?" asked Silver Haze. "I don't know Silver Haze." replied Blacklightning. "Maybe if we mix white and black soil from the ground." suggested Ravenger. "No, that won't work." said Blacklightning. "If Dusk were here, he would know what to do." said Starshine. "DUSK! That's it!" said Blacklightning. "Dusk is when morning turns into night!" "That's when the light of day mixes with the Dark of night!" said Starshine. "So we just have to wait until it's dusk." said Ravenger. "Uhm guys... look." said Starshine, pointing to the sky. "It's already night time." "Ok, we'll wait for tomorrow's dusk then" said Silver Haze. "It'll be too late by then." said Ravenger. "Then what do we do?" asked Silver Haze. "Hope that Luna, Dusk, and Celestia survive the wrath of the guardians." said Starshine.
