//-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting Mr. Quill -by Voxyl the Game Dragon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting Mr. Quill //-------------------------------------------------------// Meeting Mr. Quill O. M. C. There he is! Silver Quill! I began hopping up and down, shouting,"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" My friend, Caramel Cream, watched me bounce. "What are you so excited about?" "Silver Quill! My favorite MLP reviewer!" "I thought Ink Rose was your favorite." "She's my favorite MLP writer! Silver Quill is my favorite MLP reviewer!" "Go over and talk to him." I stopped bouncing in midair, opening my wings so I didn't look stupid in front of everyone. "Caramel, I can't do that! I look stupid." Caramel rolled his eyes and levitated me over to Silver Quill. "Caramel, you jerk!" "Oh hello! What's your name?" I froze. I knew that voice all to well. I turned around slowly and saw him. I was standing next to him. Silver Quill! What he ask me? Oh, my name! "I-I'm Written Script." "I'm Silver Quill." "I know. I'm one of your biggest fans." "Really? Well it's great to meet you!" The griffon held out his hand. I blushed considerably as I shook it. "So, what brings you here?" "I'm here to read a few of my stories to the little fillies and colts that came with their parents." "But you look like a filly yourself." Indeed. I was about 7 inches shorter than the adult mare. I had a slightly rounder muzzle and smaller build. "I'm younger than most writers. So my stories aren't as good." "Well, don't say that. I'm sure your stories are awesome!" "Thanks." "You're a little young looking to get tickets to this con?" I nodded with a smile. Silver smiled back at me. "Yeah! Wanna see a joke?" Silver nodded. "Hey Caramel!" My poofy haired, unicorn buddy began walking over. I quickly removed my scarf, my pencil and notepad with it. "Hey Writ-" Caramel looked at me. "Um, excuse me. Have you seen a brown mare around her somewhere? See looks like you, but with a grey scarf. It has a pencil and a notepad in it." I held back a snicker. "I think she's over there." When Caramel looked away, I put my scarf back on and slid my pencil and my notepad back into it. "No that's Button Mash. Oh, there you are, Written!" I did my best not to laugh. "You. Go play." Caramel nodded and walked off. I looked back at Silver Quill, who was trying not to laugh. "That was pretty funny." "Mr. Quill." He looked down at me. "May I have your autograph?" "Sure." I handed him my notepad and pencil. He wrote down something and handed it back. Never give up! ~Silver Quill. I let out a happy sigh and officially passed out from Too Much Awesome Syndrome. "Oh! Wow! Um..." Silver began fanning me. That's when Caramel walked up. "I got this." He levitated a thermos from his bag. He unscrewed the lid and dumped the liquid contents onto my face. "Oh! Come on!" "That's my line," Sweetie Belle shouted from somewhere. I got up and went to go clean off. "What was that?" "Hot chocolate." //-------------------------------------------------------// Just Another Pain That I Can Bear //-------------------------------------------------------// Just Another Pain That I Can Bear I soon walked out of the bathroom, clean and no longer smelling like cinnamon and whip cream. I saw Silver talking with Caramel at a table. I quickly began trotting over, but I felt a tug on my scarf. I looked down and saw a young light red unicorn colt. He was slightly bone skinny and slightly scruffy. "Excuse me, miss. But are you Written Script?" "Why, yes I am. What would you like, little one?" "I just wanted to say thank you." "For what?" "For helping me." I cocked my head in a manner that made my brown eyes sparkle. The colt saw this and blushed, but kept speaking. "Both my parents are dead, so I'm an orphan. I'm was barely surviving, no family or friends, but then I saw one of your books in a book store. It was called Saving David. I read it in the store so I didn't have to buy it with the little money I had. But after I read it, I released that I was kinda like David. I had conned people out of food and money. But when a gang of colts started to come at me, a mare a lot older than me came to my rescue. She took me home and fed me and gave me a place to stay. She soon adopted me and gave me my name, Brave Heart." I wiped a tear from my eye. "Well, Brave Heart, I'm glad I could help. I'm sorry that happened to you, but remember this. Life will come and go. When it will return, I do not know. But life is precious, remember it so. You and your life have never been low. You're heading for a waterfall, your grass may be moed!" "What?" "It means you might die." "Oh." "But you pick up your oars of life and row! Does that make sense, Brave?" "Uh-hu! Thank you, Miss Script!" "No problem, Brave." I remove my pencil from my scarf and place it behind his ear. He smiled widely, stars sparkling in his eyes. "Spectra! Spectra! Look, it's Miss Script!" A white pegasus mare with a rainbow mane, each colored fading into the next, walked over. "You must be Written Script. Brave talks about you nonstop." "Hello, ma'am!" "I must admit, you look a little younger than excepted." "All part of being me, ma'am!" Spectra nodded and began walking away with Brave. I waved goodbye and suddenly felt a claw on my shoulders. I turned my head slightly and saw Silver Quill. "You're very inspirational." "Well, my parents divorced when I was little so I kinda take sympathy on the little guys. That's why I write stories, to make others happy. Because I know I'll never be happy again." I began walking away, Silver and Caramel following. A band began playing a slow song. [Written] My life was perfect Till the age of six Then my life got Such a fix My parents fought And broke apart They had no idea It broke my heart (I hopped onto the stage and took the microphone into my hoof. A blue light shown on me) I moved to Indiana My hatred grew For both my parents But they never knew When I was old enough I moved Ponyville And my life went Right over a hill (Silver got on the stage with me. The band began playing at a slightly faster pace, a silver light for Silver) [Silver] Hold up a second! Hold on! So your life is Dead and gone So what Big deal But your stories are A magical seal You're life went Down the drain Now come on It's such a pain But hold on And think about it Then come on out And shout it! (A crowd began forming as the band played faster) [Written and Silver] So what! Who cares! It just another pain that I can bear! (I helped Caramel up on stage. He levitated the microphone into his grasp and bronze light on him) [Caramel] You never told me that I never really knew But now I know What they had did to you Your life was perfect Up until that day But now you're in Ponyville to stay I don't write Like you But your stories Are perfect and true Written, you awesome Don't forget it And for the break up Don't sweat it (By now a medium sized crowd had formed. My light went from blue to gold) [Writtem, Silver, Caramel] So what! Who cares! It's just another pain that I can bear! We all hopped offstage, getting cheers and applause. "Thank you Mr. Quill." "Don't worry, Written." Silver began walking away. "You know I can help pay for your flight animation." "Don't sweat it, because..." Silver lifted into the air with his wings. "I already have one!"
