An Old World
Kasai was bored. It didn't take a genius to figure that out. To him, when you are the most powerful, life tends to slow down. He had spent his entire life trying to be the very best. He would train constantly, travel constantly, and fight two or three times a day. He would challenge bigger and stronger foes and win. And when he did lose, he made damn sure that he wouldn't lose to the same Pokemon twice. He made some of friends, and he made a lot of enemies as he built his reputation. Eventually, he became the alpha in all of Kanto, and he was bored of it.
Every other day, he would be challenged by some new Pokemon. They would typically talk about how they were going to beat you and all of that jazz. But when it came time to fight, they stood no chance. When they were beaten, they would turn their tails and run. At first, it was amusing to Kasai, but after a while it became old.
When he wasn't challenged, he was almost always avoiding capture from greedy trainers. When he was little, he was absolutely terrified of them. They were hairless, bipedal, with curious flat faces. However, his fear evaporated when he realized how stupid they actually were. Most of the time he encountered a young trainer thinking that he or she would be able to catch him. They would always send out a weak bug which would swiftly get dispatched. There were occasions when he would face a competent trainer, but they were few and far between. Though he would typically dispatched trainers, there would be times when he would narrowly avoid capture.
A sudden gust of wind blew through his thick coat of fur. He groaned slightly in pain as he shifted to his side. He closed his eyes, wanting to take a long afternoon nap. Before he could however, he heard a high pitched giggle to his left. He cracked open his eyes only to see the scenic forest. Sighing in relief, he closed his eyes once more. All of a sudden, he was head butted straight into his gut knocking him back a couple of inches. This earned another high pitched giggle from assailant. After regaining his bearings, he once again reopened eyes only to sigh in annoyance. "Ellie, how many times have I told you, when I'm trying to sleep, don't bother me", Kasai roared in half anger and half annoyance.
This only earned another giggle from Ellie. "Don't be so strict, uncle Kas", the young Eevee replied playfully. Ellie had been one of Kasai's only friends that hadn't already challenged him or have been captured by trainers. Early in his journey he had met Ellie's father, Ben. Ellie was just born then and as she grew up she saw him as a role model. They would frequently go on long, scenic walks in the wilderness. When she was old enough, she began to follow him on his journey. Without her, Kasai would've probably gone insane.
"If I wasn't so strict, you might be with a trainer by this point. And can you please stop calling me Kas. I know it was cute when you were a little munchkin, but now it's annoying", Kasai responded.
"It's only annoying because you want it to be", Ellie sang. She gingerly walked over to Kasai's form before lying down on his fluffy belly. "By the way, has anyone told you how soft and fluffy your belly is. It is simply divine", Ellie says with a fake yawn, before curling up in order to rest.
"Why exactly are you lying on my belly again?", Kasai asked rather sarcastically.
Ellie yawned before responding, "Because I'm just as bored as you. We've been in this forest for weeks, and you have not once said you wanted to leave. What happened to you? You used to be so full of energy and snark. Now you're just boring to be around."
Kasai pondered on what Ellie had said to him. Am I really getting boring thought Kasai. Suddenly, a thought struck his mind. A devious grin spread across his face at the thought. "Ellie, if I was really that boring, would I do this?", Kasai suddenly asked. Before she could compose a response, she found herself being picked up gently by Kasai's jaws. He then began to spin her around like he used to do when she was a little rascal.
She cried out in joy, as Kasai continued to spin around. A muffled laugh came out from Kasai as he saw the joy radiating off of Ellie. Ellie began to get dizzy and was forced to yell out, "You can stop now Kas, I'm getting dizzy." Kasai stopped spinning only to fall down on his belly, along with Ellie. Kasai attempted to get up only to fall right back down. Laughing, Ellie attempted to get up as well only for her to fall down. This time Kasai laughed as they both steadily got up as the dizziness wore off. Soon, both began to laugh their butts off.
"Oh, how cute", a new voice interjected. Kasai immediately shot his head up only to come face to face with the most disturbing thing he had ever seen. It seemed to be a mismatch of several different Pokemon.
"W-what are you?", Kasai managed to stutter out.
"The question is not what am I, it is what are you?", the mysterious Pokemon responded with insane glee. Before Kasai could respond, the mysterious Pokemon suddenly disappeared. Suddenly, Kasai heard a laugh to his left, then to his right, now behind, and soon it's laugh was all around him and Ellie.
"He is one insane nut basket", Ellie said with a hint of fear in her voice.
The laughing all of sudden stopped and the mysterious Pokemon once again appeared right in front of them. "I'll have you know that I am not a nut basket. My name is Discord, the God of Chaos!", Discord exclaimed while raising his arms up for dramatic effect. "Since I have introduced myself why won't you tell me your names? Wait! I got it, the little brown thing is Ellie, and the big fluffy thing is Kasai", Discord said with an insane giggle.
"Wait, how do you know are names?", asked Ellie.
"Isn't it obvious?", Discord asked back. When he got no response, he took a deep breath and yelled, "Magic!"
Kasai could now only roll his eyes at Discord's antics. "Okay, listen here. If you want to challenge me, then do it. I'm just going to beat you down like I do to everyone else", Kasai growled.
Discord once again disappeared before reappearing right behind them. "Now, now little puppy. I don't want to fight, in fact I want your help", Discord replied.
Kasai sighed in half anger, half annoyance as he replied, "Okay, then what do you need my help with?"
Discord simply smiled and replied, "You have to follow me to find out." Before Kasai could respond, Discord once again disappeared.
"Hey wait up!", Kasai exclaimed as he attempted to follow Discord. As he darted through the forest, he could hear Discord's manic laugh all around him.The further he went, the louder it got. Just as the laughing became unbearable, Kasai made his way into a clearing where Discord was waiting.
"Oh, look who is finally here", Discord said with glee.
"Alright now, what do you want from me?", Kasai asked with an annoyed tone.
Discord smiled and said, "I need you to help me. The world of which I come from is a very harmonious place called Equestria. Despite this, there is always some pony who wants to take it over, myself included. However, we have managed to stop them because of the six Elements of Harmony. However, Equestria faces a threats that the Elements don't even no about. I have seen how powerful you are but I've also seen how bored you are, so I offer this proposition. You can either stay hear and die from boredom, or you can go on an adventure. So what do you pick?"
Kasai let this new information sink in a bit. On one hand he didn't want to go to a mysterious world he had never heard about. On the other hand, this might be his last chance to have fun. "Alright Discord, I accept", Kasai responded.
"Perfect, now off to Equestria! But first let me do something", Discord responded. Before Kasai could react, he was suddenly poked by some thing sharp. "There we go, now we can be on our way!", Discord exclaimed.
Suddenly, Kasai's vision began to blur. His legs began to shake and he began to feel all wobbly. "What did you do to me?", Kasai asked shakily.
Discord's smile widened as he replied, "Nothing really. just something to make it less painful." Before Kasai could comprehend what was happening, whatever Discord had given him took it's full affect, and he passed out.
Diamond Dogs
All of his muscles ached. It took almost everything Kasai had in order to keep from growling in pain. Kasai was no stranger to sore muscles, but he was not used to being teleported between worlds by a madman. He creaked open his eyes to scan his surroundings. He found himself in a forest not unlike the one he called home. Nonetheless, it was still different. The trees were a noticeably darker green, there was an abundance of exotic flora he had never seen before, and also the fact that there was an old abandoned castle thirty yards away.
Despite his muscles protest, he slowly got up from the rather muddy ground. After taking a glance at his surroundings, he began to walk to his right. Soon enough, Kasai found a small trail leading from the castle. He pondered for a moment about what might have happened to abandon a castle before making his way down the trail.
There were hoof marks all along the trail, making it slightly painful to walk on. Within minutes he found himself standing face to face with a draw bridge. From the looks of it, it seemed very shaky and rather unsafe. However, Kasai was unable to find another route forcing him to cross the probably ancient bridge. Besides, if a horse could cross it, so can I Kasai thought to himself. He placed an tentative paw on the first plank. Fortunately, the plank didn't break under his weight. He sighed in relief as he began to cross the bridge.
Even though it held his weight, Kasai couldn't help but be paranoid. Every step he took earned a loud creek from the planks making his fur stand on end. As he got closer to the middle the bridge began to shake violently. His carefully place his front left paw on the middle plank. Suddenly, his paw went right through the plank as if it was wet toilet paper. Then another plank broke behind him. He scrambled to his paws and darted to the end of the bridge. Planks began to break right and left, but Kasai no longer cared, he just wanted to get off the damn bridge. Behind him the bridge broke completely. With one last lunge he landed off the bridge as it collapsed behind him. It took Kasai a couple of minutes to realize he was safe. A chuckle escaped his lips. He hadn't felt this alive in months.
He continued to make his way along the trail. As he was walking, he began to wonder what did in fact live here. It seemed unlikely that humans live here as it is a completely different world. However, it was evident from some droppings that there were at least similar rodents scurrying around. Also from the hoof tracks there had to be some sort of horse-like animal living here. There also had to be some sort of sentient creature here as well. Though humans thought of Pokemon as feral animals to train, in reality Pokemon were just as smart as humans. Pokemon can do almost anything that humans can do except for speak or pick up stuff easily. Though there was one Meowth he met that could in fact speak.
In the distance, Kasai heard something faint. As he got closer, he realized that it was two things talking. To his surprise, they were speaking the same language that the human back in Kanto would speak. As he got closer he realized this thing weren't human, in fact they were infinitely uglier. They had the head of a dog, but the body of a human. They were bipedal and the had imposable thumbs. They wore a collar around their neck and a sleeveless jacket.
"I'm telling you, this is a pointless. Why don't we go look for gems?", the tan one asked.
"For the last time Nikki, the bug pony offered us gems if we can find and capture this hero", the purple on responded in annoyance. Kasai ears perked when he heard the war hero. So it looks like some others know he thought.
"What makes you think this bug pony is trustworthy", Nikki asked.
"I don't know, but at least she is more trustworthy than you", the purple one responded angrily.
"That is it!", the tan one exclaimed angrily. He approached the other dog with venom in his eyes. Before he could attack the purple one, a noise came from Kasai direction here. Curiosity led the two dogs to come close to Kasai's hiding place. "Looks like we have an eavesdropper on our hands", Nikki grinned.
Nikki stuck his paw right into Kasai's hiding place. Realizing that he was compromised, he bit down hard on Nikki's outstretched paw. Nikki howled in pain, catching the attention of his purple partner. Kasai let go of Nikki's paw and darted from the underbrush, dodging the purple one's attack. Kasai charged up and spit out a flamethrower at the purple one's face. The purple one was knocked back a clean six feet from the utter force. Nikki, having recovered, began to swipe at Kasai. Kasai continued to dodge and weave from his attacks. Eventually, Nikki figured out the pattern and just as Kasai ducked, he swung a powerful uppercut right into Kasai's jaw. To his shock, Kasai backflipped onto his paws and let loose another flamethrower.
Kasai wasn't used to fighting two assailants at once, especially ones that can fight in close courters. The purple one jumped up and landed right on Kasai's back. He began to dig his claws into Kasai's hips and neck. Kasai roared in pain as blood dripped down onto the forest floor. He launched the purple one from his back, right into his buddy. The two soon recovered and they began to circle around Kasai.
Nikki attacked from the left, only to be kicked back immediately. Then the purple one once again attacked from behind, but this time Kasai was ready for it and punched him right in the face. With his back turned, Nikki tackled Kasai down to the ground. He struggled to hold the big Arcanine jaw in place for his buddy. The purple one began to swipe at Kasai's face, making him bleed even more. Suddenly, Nikki's grip around the jaw slipped, allowing for Kasai to use fire fang right on the purple one's arm, causing it to burn the flesh.
With the purple one incapacitated, Kasai easily threw off the shocked form of Nikki to the ground. Rage was literally emanating off of Nikki as he saw the form of his best buddy. With a battle cry, he charged Kasai with all of his might. Kasai easily dodged Nikki's blind charge, but he continued coming at him. Due to the blood loss and from exhaustion, Kasai began to slow down however Nikki didn't seem to tire at all. Finally, Kasai was unable to move out of the way in time, allowing Nikki to tackled him to the ground.
"Finally, I will end this senseless battle!", Nikki exclaimed. Before he could lay out the finishing move, Kasai managed to let out one more, close range flamethrower. Nikki screamed in agony as his face was scorched from the flames. With one more punch, Kasai managed to knock him out cold.
Kasai slowly began to stumble away from the battleground. Blood was dripping from his neck and hips onto the ground. He struggled to make his way down the path as his vision blurred. He stumbled and fell flat on his face. Sunlight poured on his downed form as he was unable to stay wake and fell into sleep's sweet embrace.
^(***)^
It had been a wonderful day fro Fluttershy. She fed her animals, help fix Mr.Beaver's dam, went to the spa with Rarity, and watched Rainbow Dash practice some new tricks to impress the Wonderbolts. All in all, it had been a good day. She was currently fixing up Angel his favorite salad. Suddenly, Angel jumped up onto the counter looking absolutely terrified. He began to squeak at Flutershy in something only she could understand. "What is it Angel? What? Well it can't be that scary, but I'll help", Fluttershy replied to Angel's squeaks.
Angel darted out of the cottage with Fluttershy right behind him. However once they reached the Everfree Forest, Fluttershy stopped. "Oh, Angel I don't think I could go in there. I mean, look, the sun is going down and umph", Fluttershy wasn't able to finish before Angel literally pulled her into the forest.
Soon the two came across the unconscious form of Kasai. Fluttershy let out a worried eep before rushing over to help. "Please be okay, please be okay, please be okay", Fluttershy repeated while trying to find his pulse. Thankfully, he was still alive. She let out a sigh of relief before realizing something. He was simply to big for her to carry back to the cottage. "Angel, please be a dear and get Mr. Bear to help out", she politely asked. Angel simply saluted before running back to the cottage.
Fluttershy began to analyze the creature's appearance. He was mainly covered in orange fur with some black stripes. He had tufts of white fur on his legs and his neck giving him a lion like appearance. He was twice the size of herself with muscles protruding all around his body. There was blood all over his neck and hips which terrified. I hope he will be okay Fluttershy thought to herself.
