The Adventures of Maria and Knight

My eyes were being covered by my hooves as I was counting to ten, a simple game Knight begged me to play. "Ready or not here I come!" I half screamed but remembered the changeling Queen was meditating in the next room. I could hear small giggles and a snort once or twice.

Discord walked in "what are you two doing?" "Knight asked me to play hide and seek with him since we're not allowed to go outside and daddy's out," I replied quickly and smiled at him. Running upstairs I looked in his main hiding spots, in the kitchen cupboards, under the staircase and in his closet. He was nowhere to be seen. The giggles were so close but I couldn't lay my hoof exactly where they were.

I searched the stone room for any trace of my younger brother. I felt like a detective, trying to look for a murderer. I looked under the bed and all I found were rotten daisy sandwiches. gross I thought, I felt like giving up I could go to the library but Queen Chrysalis was in there meditating. My room was being cleaned so he couldn't be in there. I walked down to the maid quarters "Lyra?" I whispered to a mint green pony. She turned around "Yeah?" She replied. Lyra had been my best friend as long as I had known her. "Have you seen Knight anywhere?" I asked once again whispering, I didn't want him to hear us and hide somewhere else. "I thought he was with you," I suddenly became worried. Where was he? Only one way to find out.

I ran upstairs to the main area and said as loud as I could without disturbing Chrysalis, "Okay I give up!" I looked in all directions and spotted a purple glow admitting from an unknown source. It had disappeared and left my younger brother with it, holding in laughter. "Invisibility spell..." I grunted, he cheated and it wasn't fair.

He was laughing like crazy, then our father walked through the door. "Dad!" We said in unison and tackled him to the floor in a laughing heap.
