//-------------------------------------------------------// The Princess of Dreams -by kittyhasnosoul- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue A mare as black as night swiftly flew over a town in Hoofington, eyes glowing white as she scanned the houses for any signs of dreams, good or bad. As pony of dreams, it was her job to make sure that the nightmares of little foals carried a meaningful message without getting out of hoof, and that the good dreams were as peaceful as a summer afternoon. Her ear flicked back and forth, and her wings flapped at a slower pace than before. "There," the pony said, eyeing an old apartment on Main Street. She carefully walked through the walls of the apartment, for she was getting of old age and her spells weren't as strong as they used to be. A small smile formed on her lips when she found herself inside a colts room. To avoid being caught by the sound of her hoofsteps, she gave her wings a light flap. Her wings caught just enough air so that she could make it to the foals bedside. The mare put down her black hood, revealing a slightly faded dark purple mane. For confirmation that the foal before her was dreaming, her black eyelids shut and scanned the mind of the colt. She saw visions of a playground, and two foals; a colt and a filly, fighting. "A nightmare," she smirked, preparing for the chaos about to strike inside the small mind of the foal. Nightmares were always the best part about going into other ponies' dreams. It was like getting to be Discord for an half hour, unleashing the worst possible scenario and making it ten times worse. Of course, she was not allowed to scare the pony out of their mind without sliding in a lesson. Such as, 'don't talk to strangers', or 'fighting isn't the answer'. With a flash of light, she found herself in an audience of foals as they watched the schoolyard fight go down.
